65-acre nature preserve with forests & streams, plus hiking trails & rustic boardwalks.
Some nice swamp land for rolling around in
Amazing touch with nature
Please DO NOT walk your dog here. I walked my dog here daily, sometimes multiple times. He was a very healthy 5 year old Lab and passed away from Blastomycosis basically overnight. Very rare, shouldn’t be in Vermont but this is where he got it. Please avoid this place with your pup. Please.
Easy to get a bit lost and trails dont seem well marked. Proceed with caution!
There is pretty much no one ever hiking here. The trails wind all over the area so keep track of where you are if you need to find your way back again.
Lots of hilly terrain and felled trees across paths. Especially challenging with a small dog; might have to carry it in spots.
Very nice trail
Pay attention as there are a number of side trails of the main loop.
Gorgeous! Awesome place for a little hike. Lots of paths to explore! Bring a picnic!
Nice place to bring the little ones
Neat little gem in the heart of Burlington that I otherwise would not have even known existed, if it were not for a friend that mentioned something about it the other day. I had no idea where to park my car, but my son and I hopped on the trail and trekked through the woods for about two hours looking all around. Pretty cool trail system lots of turns and different paths to choose.I feel like this is something that a lot of people Ive talked to dont even know exist oh, but then I mentioned it to another friend whose only lived here for a couple years and they know exactly what Im talking about and where it is.Ive been here for almost 20 years and had no clue how silly but pretty cool.
Beautiful place for a walk with or without your dog. So convenient, too. You wont regret it
It is a wonderful forest with many good trail that are easy to follow. Good place for a light walk through the woods
Beautiful easy hike
Great hiking trails,20 acre forrest in Burlington.Peace Johne B
Beautiful, quiet place right in Burlington. Easily walk for 30 minutes or 2 hours. Some steep climbs to get the heart pumping, boardwalks, fairly well maintained paths. Some parts a bit overgrown. Nice to walk because there are not many people who go here.
Good set of trails. Very well maintained. A few homeless camps but its in a city. Very good place to relax a short drive away.
I have been hiking here for a year since I live nearby. The trails are unmarked but it is difficult to get lost. I no longer hike here. As guy who has walked his dog out here regularly it pains me to say this, but the vast majority of dog walkers here are unbelievably entitled and rude. Dogs running off leash, and usually they are quite aggressive. It doesnt help that most of the time their owners can barely muster the interest to take control their dog. If you have kids with you, beware.
No maps, very few signs, just lovely woods and good tramping.
Great place for a bit of a walk! Its a nice little pocket of nature, and I really enjoy going there. Really close to both UVM and Champlain campuses, so thats really nice as well!
Whats not to love: nature, serenity and an opportunity to excercise.
A perfect little piece of tamed wilderness if you are in need of forest , trickling Creek and black berries. It is not the Green Mountains, but a great place to give you a break from the city.
Nice park, though a hobo-camp by now
Perfect cool place 4 a fog hike
Nice view from all odds and ends
Nice hike but not one sign or trail signs. Kids can get lost pretty easily.
Trails are a bit old so that means the wooden bridges and paths are too. Pretty buggy also since its pretty wet.
Centennial Woods is fairly small but its perfect for a walk with nice scenery!
Beatiful! WOW!
Great place for a woods wander! Gets a little slippery in the winter, but some beautiful trees and wildlife to observe!
Great for a winter walk, bring some type of traction!
Lots of maintained trails. But LOTS of ticks, also, so be careful.
Lovely trails to walk around highly recomend
Nice accessible place for a short nature walk
Kinda easy to get lost here because there are no signs. But its super beautiful and easy hiking!
A lot of mosquitoes. Just be prepared.
A beautiful reserve of nature hidden away in Burlington, Vermont.
Awesome people and food
Was a sports field then a dog park, now a grown up field. What is happening with it?
Nice relaxed hiking within Burlington. We hiked the main loop from the Catamount Drive trailhead, which was about an hour at a relaxed pace. A few spots are inclined but most of the trail is level and in the shade.
This is good hiking area, its very scenic. Its easy to get to. The trails are not labeled, but it was very easy to locate with the trail map and gps. It was quiet and there were frogs and Chipmunks to see. In the summer, long pants might be a good idea, because the grass will brush your ankles in some spots. Theres no waste cans at the trail heads either, FYI.
Loved this place! Spent all day hiking around. Lot of interconnected trails in a surprising variety of terrain. No real trail markings or facilities though, something to be aware of.
Great set of trails. 5 stars because its so close to downtown. Anywhere else itd be 4 stars.
Great place for a walk, if the Schneegerlager doesnt getcha
A beautiful hidden treasure, perfect for small walks or bird watching. A great space to get out of your current environment, but not very large. The trails are all clearly marked and well worn. It can get a little muddy after rainfall.
Very interesting hiking /jogging trails with lots of nooks and crannies to explore. Youd never know youre in the middle of an urbanized area because the woods are serene and there are cool wetlands to boot!
A beautiful natural area right near downtown Burlington and the University. This is a great spot to take a hike and do some bird watching. Nice all times of year, but bring your mud boots in the spring or fall. It is also possible to get a little lost in here, so be cautious if you are going near dusk; maybe go with someone who knows the trails. Enjoy!
Not super well maintained, but great place to go for walks during the summer.
A very tranquil great hike right next to the university. There were hardly anyone there, and we did get a bit lost and ended up coming out the same way we went in (we were planning to cross through itbut overall very nice area for soaking in nature.
