Cedar Lounge Earth Rider Brewery taproom in Superior

Honestly only interacted with one bartender tonight and she was the most rude individual Ive met in service, just out the gate rude with no cause either of our two interactions, big bummer for a brewery with some really solid beers.

One of our absolute favorite places to go. Love the atmosphere and of course the beer!!

Taproom for Earth Rider Brewery. Great beer, casual feel, and great "beer"tenders. The taproom has that old dive bar feel, but is clean, and everything served is delicious. They have a giant tent in the space next door with a stage. You can see great music here inside and out. This is always a go to for me when I am in town visiting. They often have food trucks, but it they dont, it is just a block walk to The Anchor Bar, where you can pick up a great burger to bring back with you.

Such a great place and staff. Had a light day of work and stopped in for an early afternoon brew. Such a great atmosphere and music selection. Staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. They were veteran friendly. Beer and food was excellent. Highly recommend.

Always a great experience at the cedar lounge. I loved the cedar before earth rider took over. Awesome vibe, great beers. Comfortable covid experience. Cant recommend this spot enough.

Earth Rider Brewing was a really cool place. The staff was very friendly and the beer was very good. Try the Valhalla Scotch Ale and the Duluth Coffee Pale Ale, you will be glad to did!!!

Really great outdoor space - lots of room to spread out, and thoughtful ordering process to ensure space between patrons. I also saw people coming around to sanitize often. Great job adapting to covid safety. PLUS the biere de garde and coffee pale ale were quite tasty.

Awesome beer, awesome staff, awesome scene. Didn’t expect much and came out thinking this was my favorite bar north of the cities. Waitresses were super friendly and let us try everything we wanted and some of the better beer in the state. Kudos.Edit: came back 6 months later, during summer. Equally as impressed, if not more. Their giant patio and stage is awesome and feels super comfortable, despite the situation. Beer’s still perfect and affordable. Crowlers well worth it, too. You gotta come here.

Cedar Lounge Outside view is fantastic for music shows and the lounge is friendly and inviting. Tuesday trivia is intriguing and First Pour Fridays are fun.

Earth Riders beers are all good, some excellent. Very relaxing setting. Both the beers and the space are fitting of the locale. It just all feels right.

Spent a weekend in the Duluth-Superior area and this place was one of the standouts of the trip. Its a very nice space that serves beer for Earth Rider Brewing Company. The bartender working (did not catch her namegreeted us, was very friendly, took great care of us and was able to give some good tips for the area while we were in town. Struck up conversations with a few of the locals who were all super friendly and also gave good tips for the area.The beer was quite delicious. The lagers I had were all delicious, clear and very well made. IMHO, the mark of a brewery is a well made pale colored lager because there is nowhere to hide flaws. They also had a cranberry sour on that was phenomenal; good fruit flavor with a nice solid bite. There were also a couple of barrel aged beers on (Sugarbush Whisky BA Valhalla & Cognac North Tower Stoutthat were very delicious. It was nice that they had small pours of the BA beers since they were not able to be included as part of the flight.Overall, this was a great experience and the next time we find ourselves back in the Superior area, this place will be at the top of my list. Its not a big place, but is laid out with a giant bar with more than enough great local beer on tap. The layout and decor are well thought out and display a great mix of past and present nostalgia. The back of the lounge has a stage where live music can be enjoyed whether seated close or away. Great job Cedar Lounge!!!

Great, cozy atmosphere. This is the taproom for Earth Rider brewery which has one of the best and most varied selection of beers in the region. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. It also hosts some great local music acts along with the occasional smaller name doing a national tour. Best bar in Superior? It has my vote.

This Bar is different than your typical taproom. because its more like your typical northern Wisconsin bar. I love it. it was very cozy both the atmosphere and the bar elbow pad. It was nice to be able to try Earth Riders beers that i cant get in cans at my grocery store.

Just played trivia here. It was a blast! Not to mention they also have the twin ports best beer on tap (Earth Rider). This is coming from a Minnesota resident with a pure resentment towards everything Wisconsin.

Had a drink here with my boyfriend and his friend and my brother. Great drinks! Service was very nice and bartenders were super helpful!

Very little needs to be said about the cedar Lounge. If speak softly and carry a big stick ever had any meeting, this is the exemplification of just that. Fearless brewmaster Allison meets The Bad Boys from Bevcraft? What do you thinks going to happen?! The rich deliciousness of craft, highly marketable beer and Allisons taste for saison, fruits and sours? Fuhgetaboutit!! Hands down and without question, in my humble opinion, The darlings of the beer industry in our area.

Great locally brewed Earth Rider beer. I really liked Precious Materials. Friendly bartenders. Nicely restored old building. Great to see the owners have reclaimed an old building that I would not have entered a few years ago and turned it into a great business.

Very friendly place! Great assortment of their locally crafted beer at a great price. Staff is knowledgeable and welcoming. No food served here but order from Izzys BBQ just down the road and bring it in..or maybe an Anchor burger or Thirsty Pagan pizza. Check it out!

I like this place very much. Only one tap, but solid canned/bottled beer selection as well as liquor options. Will be turning into a tap room for their own beers in the future, so the liquor will be going away eventually.Edit: their tap lines are in now, but their own beers arent for sale yet. Right now they have eight beers on tap with space for eight more.Extra edit: they dont have liquor anymore. Their in house beers are excellent.

If you arent a beer drinker, there are no options. The hard lemonade choices are malt beverages and not very good. No ice even for water. The people who had beer liked the raspberry one, but overall not a great experience for our group.

The vibe of this place is awesome. It is rustic and has delicious beer. I have met a few of the bartenders and they are all really knowledgeable and fun to talk to.

A great beer only bar with specialty brews made next door and Wisconsin canned microbrews from across the state! The bartop is also quite comfortable.

Cedar Lounge does more with less than anyone else I can think of! By that, I mean that they took a "nothing bar" and did a complete remodel and have turned it into the crown jewel of the Superior craft beer scene. They continually roll out new and creative beer flavors while keeping a very good selection of house specialties on tap at all times. And with their Crowler and Growler options theyre just as tasty while at the cabin, in your backyard or hunkered down during a cold winter night. Cedar does not serve food beyond a few frozen pizzas, but there are a couple of options for those that like food with their suds. In the ever-growing ultra competitive craft brewing market, Cedar Lounge definitely makes some of the tastiest as evidenced by their recent 3rd place finish at the World Beer Festival in the "stout" category.

A small bar, serving mostly Earth Rider beer and not much else for those who want something different. When they have a show, if the band is not super popular, its a great venue, but the last one we went to the bar reached capacity and we stood in line outside for the entire set. It was a nice night and we could still hear the band, so it didnt ruin our night, but just be aware of whos playing the night you want to go there. Its in Superior, WI though so even if you cant get in, there are at least 5 other bars less than a block away to go to

Outlet for the Earth Rider Brewing Co. Come here to sample all of there beers. Excellent craft beer selection, with guest taps available as well. Staff is friendly and fast. Dont miss this craft beer destination.

Great brewery, lots of craft beers on tap. The coffee beer and the pale ale were especially delicious. They have live music/bands on a stage and the sound is definitely decent. Would visit again

These guys are brewing some very good beer. If you like scotch ales you need to try the Valhalla Winter Warmer. They tend to be too syrupy for my taste, but this one was not. They dont serve any food other than frozen pizza, but you can bring in whatever you like and northern Waters smokehaus delivers there. Check it out.

Pretty mellow, good beer selection. There was a live band but they were a little loud, difficult to talk with the group of friends I was with when they began playing. Overall, I liked it.

Cedar Lounge has a very nice atmosphere -- classy but not at all stuffy -- and a wide variety of Wisconsin and Minnesota beers on tap. A great spot for a drink!

Dont know who said only 1 beer on tap. They have at least 6.. good bloodys. Cedar has a chill vibe and is a good place to start a night on tower ave. Its the home of the harbor city roller dames after parties and it always fun!

Theyve greatly expanded their tap beer line-up recently and will be launching a partnership with Earth Rider brewery in october. Come here for the good drinks and beer. They have Heggies Pizza and encourage outside food delivery, which in downtown Superior means you can get some good food here to go with your drinks.

Solid, great service. They need more beer on tap which is going to happen when the new brewery that they have partnered with starts to produce beer.Update.... they keep a really excellent beer selection for serious beer drinkers on tap. A well catered selection.

Bloody Mary Rating: 5 stars. Kimchi infused vodka with a medium-heat spicy house made mix. Garnished with dill cheese curds, pickle, stuffed olives, pickled asparagus, and a whole land Jaeger sausage. Choice of snit/chaser from their great beer selection.

Great place inside and out. You can tell its set up to make Custoners comfortable and have easy and fast service. You can also see the stage from every part of the bar.

This place is fantastic! I love the 2 for 1s, even in my fancy cider beer. The music is foot stompin fun, I love the featured Wednesday bands. (If I have to miss them I just come back the next week!The service is sweet, fun, and welcoming. Love this place!!

Often has live music. One large, rectangular bar with seating around the whole thing ... imagine Cheers, but just a bit more cramped. Bartenders are great.

If youve spent any time in Superior, this aint the same Cedar Lounge youre probably used to. Recently renovated and completely re-thought, this place pays homage to the old-style taverns that blanketed Superior...a long, airy room with a long bar in the middle, offering guests and locals a comfortable place to sit and sip a beer.This place has been immaculately refinished and maintains the same feeling of yesteryear. A tin ceiling, old-school beer signs, and a padded elbow rest along the long bar await. Its simplistic in its style and is incredibly clean and comfortable.On top of a beautiful, cozy locale, the beer selection is phenomenal. Only one beer on tap--New Glarus, from Wisconsin--and the rest in cans...almost traditional to the tavern style of service. Plenty of Coors and Miller Lite in a can, but youre also going to find some great local and regional craft beers, too.Lastly, the service: its amazing. The bartender was incredibly friendly, prompt, and very funny. He definitely made the time there more enjoyable.I think Ive found my new watering hole.
