Family-run wildlife park featuring around 200 species, plus farm shows & up-close animal encounters.
An amazing, interacting wildlife park. The absolute highlights are you are able to go into the open area to feed the kangaroos, they have free animal shows, where you can have a photo with a koala or wombat, hold a snake, and see the sheep shearing show. Adults and kids alike can enjoy this place. Take your time to see everything and plan to see the shows, and you can spend the day here easily.
The place is great for kids who love to see and touch the animals in a safe environment. The staff are also very helpful. We would love to come back.
We love the wildlife park😊 so many animals to see and we get to see them really closely. Staff are really friendly to answer your questions. Unlike a lot of other parks, they dont charge you taking with pics with koala/wombat🥰 we had so much fun!
My boys really enjoyed the park. The farm show was interactive where visitors get to experience milking a cow and little kids get to bottlefeed animals. The close encounter with the gentle kangaroos was well loved by kids and adults alike. Well worth the ticket price!!
Great experience at the park and reasonably priced with lots of showtimes! Highly recommended for families!Do note ongoing roadworks to the park means nav may lead you to a roundabout and you need to drive into whiteman park.Eatery options are the kiosk inside the wildlife park or the Village Cafe just outside the park within walking distance.Do arrive early say 10am as the first farm show starts at 1030h!Kangaroo/wallaby feeds are free for feeding within the enclosed open area!
Have my family visiting from Italy, we’ve been to the zoo last week and to Caversham Wildlife Park today. I mean, hands down 100 times better than the zoo. Plenty of activities and interactions, mum and dad got a picture holding a tiny koala which was a dream of theirs, plenty of kangaroos that you can feed with their food, heaps of shows and different interactions. There were tons of kids too which they obviusly seemed to enjoy. All the staff was lovely and smiling, we also appreciated how they were not rushing us to take pictures or to leave, the queue for the activities were appropriate and we did’t wait too much for anything. Recommended to anyone really. Absolutely an amazing day, loved every second of it!!
The park was very well maintain with lots of Australia wild animals. You get to meet and pet the animals. Also theres a farm show where they show how they shear the sheeps and milk the cows. Just make sure to check the show times. Theres a picnic area where you can sit down and eat. Since that we went there during winter going to spring the weather was very nice and warm. Lots of parking spaces. The park was not too big so it was not too tiring walking around.
Fabulous place to get up close to Australias amazing wildlife. Feeding the kangaroos was super.Extremely reasonable entrance fees for a full days adventure, especially for the little ones. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. All round, a great day out 😃
2nd visit. Kids never get bored. Recommended since u can feed tbe kangaroos in the open. Best to come early when the kangaroos still hungry.
One of the best Westralian experiences you can have in Perth. Get up close with all the iconic local fauna and hand feed some of them. Amazing and great way for the kids to learn about the land.
Great place for weekend activity. Recommend to go in the mornings as there are more activities and shows taking place. Opportunity to feed and interact with kangaroos.
4th visit to Caversham Wildife Park and still enjoyed myself! Must visit if u love animals 😍
AMAZING place, a must to visit for animal lovers or for families with kids. Lots of animals and interaction opportunities here, especially the huge kangaroo section with over 50 roos for you to feed and pet. (Pellets are free of charge! The animals seem very happy and well taken care of here and staff were absolutely friendly.
Great experience saw our first quoll, had some fun with the kangaroos, loved the reptile house, and the flying foxes. Would recommend a visit to everyone.
We had a wonderful time exploring the park, taking photos with the koala, snake, wombat and feeding the animals.A must visit for any locals and tourists!
Entrance fees for adults is $30 which I believe was worth it, considering the amount of birds, animals, and reptiles one can see. The park is huge and it takes a while to go around. It is beautiful and packed with things to see and places to sit in for breaks. Staff are friendly and professional. There are toilets in various places. There are some food options and a gift store available as well. Koala holding is for an additional fee, but taking pictures with koalas are for free (at the allocated times). We also got to watch penguins being fed. We fed and pet kangaroos. It is a really nice place for a fun time with family!
Up close with the koala ! feeding experience with the kangaroos ! Don’t miss the farm show. A must do with kids when you visit Perth (at least once !)
Fantastic experiences with the animals included. Gorgeous park, well laid out and maintained. Absolutely brilliant day out with something for everyone ❤️
Had the absolute best time at the park; staff were friendly and animals happy. would absolutely recommend this park to anyone and everyone who likes animals!
Amazing collection of Australian animals and birds. You can feed kangaroos and have photos with koalas. You can even cuddle a koala for an extra cost! But the photo booths are worth it just for a free photo with a koala! We saw some amazing birds and animals that you cant see in the wild or are endangered. Well worth a trip if youre not a local! Or even if you are. There is something for everyone!
Fantastic day for young and old, museums, train rides, tram rides good eats, playgrounds and animal park
Wonderful way to spend a day, especially with children. We went on a Monday in May, with no crowds, the park workers were helpful and had plenty of time to let you take photos with the koala and wombat. The park is small but very nicely laid out. The kangaroos are cute and friendly and put their paws on your arm as they eat out of your hand. The tasmanian devils lived up to their name, attacking each other as we watched.
Friendly kangaroos to pet, koalas to stroke, and other animals less pat-able e.g. pelicans, tasmanian devils, crocodiles, snakes and lizards.
Its a unique experience to wildlife in Perth. The $30 entrance fee is really worth, lots of feeding time, farm show and close contact to the wildlife. Appreciate all the friendly and knowledgeable staffs, answering all the questions.
Absolutely loved this place! A huge range of wildlife to be seen throughout, I recommend allowing around 3 hours to go through all the entire park. Kangaroos can be pat and hand fed which is always fun.
Great place to spend a few hours with the little ones. Lots of interesting animals for the kids to see. Would definitely go again and take a pram/trolley with more food and drinks to enjoy a picnic on the park grounds.
Amazing place. Awesome place to spend the day with kids. Will go back.
Kids love this place!!.feeding the kangaroos is always a highlight dint miss the farm show it is educational. Its 8s absolutely
I was expecting Caversham Wildlife Park to be kind of small, and to have dry Aussie vegetation and a small selection of animals. Its safe to say I was wrong on all accounts. The place is lush, quite big and packed with great animals. At first the $30 price tag seemed rather steep, (after all it was gonna be small and dry right?but in all honesty its well worth the price. It seemed as though every enclosure had animals that were very comfortable with being up close and on display. I love the Zoo, and its great theyve got Tigers and all sorts of exotic creatures, but most of the time theyre in hiding, or miles away at the back of the enclosures. Not so at Caversham. Theyre right there in full view. The scheduled events are great too. Watching the Farm Show, and seeing wombats, koalas, snakes and more up close was fantastic. In the centre is a walk through enclosure full of Kangaroos that can be patted and fed.Overall its a top spot for a close encounter with some great animals. Fun for kids and adults alike.
Another must-visit-place if you want to take someone whos visiting Perth for the first time. I would recommend to go to their website to see their scheduled show and come early because it takes about 2-3hrs to experience and meet Australian native animals. It was a quiet day, but they did the show on time. I can see that theyre really taking care of the animals and know them well. You can take pictures with wombat and koala ❤️
Very disappointed : A family run business should be able to make fair offers: We arrived 2h30 with 3 kids and 2 adults expecting from the brochure park being open til 5h30pm. However closing was 4pm so we would have only 1.5hr left. We asked politely for either some discount (like afternoon pass at adventure World Bibra Lakeor allowing us to return with full paid price. Both cashier and management rejected and asked for full price of $102!!! This is unfair monopoly and arbitrary behaviour. Will not come back and prefer Perth Zoo! Park writing in web its not subsidized but all parking and infrastructure around seems to be paid by taxpayers.
One of the best zoo I ever visited. It is an open range zoo. The animal was playing around near you. Different experience compared to normal zoo where animals are caged. You could even touch the animal, if you dare.Kangaroos are everywhere around. Koala is a bit rare. Only certain hour where koala is awake cause it is always sleeping. Managed to take photo and touch koala during my visit. I think I was touching too long before the photo was taken and the koala almost scratched me.It was a great experience here.
In order to collect the souvenir coins so come to visit the park. Although here is not really big, u also can have a lot interactive with kangaroo, wombat and koala… It’s so amazing to me🖖
Nice beautiful place. Allow yourself 2-3 hours to properly watch this place. You can watch and hold kangaroos, koalas, and many more animals. Learning place for kids about different reptiles, birds, and animals. Plenty of shaded places, sheds and trees for picnic.
Located inside Whiteman Park Caversham Wildlife Park is a wonderful place to spend a few hours. In my opinion it is better than the Perth Zoo, a lot more parking and several very informative animal shows throughout the day makes for a great day out for all. From the outside you cant get a real feeling of how large the wildlife park actually is, once inside you can walk around and discover native bird, get up close to kangaroos, visit some friendly farm animals and go inside a reptile house. There is also a chance to get close to a koala and see penguins feeding. I personally recommend going early if you wish to see other attractions at Whiteman Park as the wildlife park can take up a few hours especially if you want to see the shows, check their website for daily show times and try to plan your day to make the most of the time. Although there is a Cafe inside Caversham Wildlife Park it can and does get busy so maybe consider taking a picnic lunch as there is a picnic area inside.Just one warning; DO NOT use the vending machines I lost a small amount of money in one and there is no support except a website. Called the number, left a message and I also sent an email but received no response. I advise not using them at all, take drinks and snacks or purchase from the cafe on site.*** Update - vending machines belong to Caversham Wildlife Park, if you have a problem you need to speak to them. In any case Id advise not using them at all.
Staff were helpful and interactive. Place was neat and tidy. Heaps better than Perth Zoo
Good environment, Variety animals, nicely staffs, awesome farm show and close touch wombat and koala❤️
What a wonderful place. Had an amazing time taking our daughter to see the animals. She loved it 😀 We got to meet the Wombat and have photos. My daughter even got to hold a snake for the first time as well which she wasnt too sure of. The farm show was also fantastic where they showed you how they herd and shear the sheep. We even got to see the Koalas and have photos with them. Next time we come to visit we will get there a little earlier as we did miss a bit but all in all a fantastic experience had by all 😁 Highly recommended 👍🏻
Great day out for the whole family. The park was well kept and the staff we met were all so helpful and knowledgeable. We had a great experience here with our 3 year old. Hand feeding the kangaroos and meeting the koalas were definitely our highlights. My tip is take your picnic rug and enjoy a shady spot with your lunch.
Our family had a great day at the wildlife park. Exhibits were good quality and you can see the animals are well cared for.The scheduled events included photos with koalas, petting a wombat, watching a shearing demonstration and Tassie Devil feeding. We stayed back and talked with the shearing staff afterwards, very friendly and knowledgeable.
It’s a great experience. The environment inside is very good and clean. The living environment and condition of the animals are very good. The staff inside are very friendly and enthusiastic. They will remind us when we finish a show. About what time is the show, when we encounter difficulties, they will take the initiative to help us quickly. My little daughter also had a great time playing in it. We experienced how to feed and milk a lamb. Inside, I felt the close contact between people and nature. Today, I saw many little koalas and took photos with Amy koalas. I saw a lot of koalas inside and they looked very comfortable and enjoyable.
Staff were all super friendly, good facilities and a nicely sized park with heaps of animals, which also wasnt overcrowded during school holidays. Tried feeding the kangaroos with the toddler but they were extremely well fed and not interested in having more!
Great place to see Australian fauna up close, very close. Amazing birds, many I have never seen before. So many Koalas. Clean, shady, plenty of amenities and not too busy. Best place to take children and overseas visitors. Really enjoyed our day and will return.
Such a great place to walk around with the kids and so much to see. A lot of work has gone into this beautiful wildlife park as it is so well presented. If you haven’t been here before it’s worth having a look with a variety of things to do and get involved in.
Love this place. Been a few times with overseas guests and family. Great to see all the aussie animals, place is very accessible for young kids, clean and staff are friendly. The shows are a must! Very informative!
Great place to have a day break from your routines, alone, with friends, or family. Have an interaction with some of the kangoroos, take a picture (or many pictures!with koalas, wombats, and a snake if you want to. Great environment and friendly staffs have made my day.
Very enjoyable day trip! It is slightly more expensive than I thought it would be, but for the price you really do get a enjoyable and informative day out!Great for families!
Fabulous Day out..Wild Life Park is a must.. $30sfult and $23 pensioners.. Great Automobile Museum.. Kiosk... Tea Rooms.. Rest rooms.. Gorgeous parks to picnic..Just a great outing for all ages....
I really enjoyed wandering around looking at the animals, some fairly unusual. Park is divided into different sections including a reptile house, a walk-through aviary, farm/barn area, and a kangaroo petting/feeding zone. There are a few shows that give you the opportunities to meet and pet animals such as koalas, snakes, possums, and wombats. Good for a day out, ideally off-peak.
Better than Perth zoo. Much more interactive and hands on. They genuinely care about the animals but ensure people have plenty of photo opportunities. Great day for the whole family!!
