Cave of fishes - Park and Garden in Calimete, Cuba
Nice place
Amazing place!
Its great to jump in the water and to swim between the rocks with all the plants growing and hanging all around you. There is a restaurant and toilets and you can swim in the sea accros the street amongst beautiful fishes.
A cenote is a cenote. Was still pretty though
Must see in the Bay of pigs
Must visit. After sea refreshment can be used instead of shower.
Nice place with near restaurant (closes at 4pm), the water reservoir is full of many fish
Nice little find in the Bay of Pigs
Great place to swimming with fish
A very affordable and interesting option for cave diving. Since this is a cave that is not completely closed from the surface (the stones seem to hang from two sides so that direct light does not fall into it, but there is a formal exit to the surface), formally, admission to the qualification of a diver is easier (an advanced diver can handle it). The depth is quite large and deep - 70 meters depth (according to the guide’s note). There is access to the sea, because both fish and water come here quite actively. The water is clear enough in the cave itself. Temp is comfortable. Enough space to unfold comfortably inside.
Its a very deep cave full of beautiful sea fish that came there through a deep cave that leads to the ocean at noon in a sunny day you can admire one of the most beautiful spectacles of mother nature
Snorkeling ok, but there are better places
Playa de pieces is a great place for seeing fish and coral. No beach just rocks with steps into water but loads of fish and coral to see. Good half day excursion. We got a taxi there and got it to come back in 3 hours, 25 cuc.
Nice, not a lot of fish. Very cold water
Lovely place for an afternoon out
Must see place! Amazing to sweam there!
I went on May 2019 and didnt see many fishes in the cave, but a lot near the beach. Parking could cost 3 cuc. Best to breng your own snorkeling gear (which I did). On the road there are a lot of crabs crossing the road. The beach fairly good accessible and wasnt much slippery. There is also diving excursion, but the beach depth is fine to just do snorkeling (for free). There is a bar and souvenir shop. In may it wasnt crowded and you can enjoy schools of fishes near you. Some brought a plastic bottle filled with bread, which attracts even more fishes.
Mother nature keep amazing me every day, this place its just beautiful.
Nice place
Best time of my life here! Bring your snorkelling gear and do both sides of the street. When in the cenote, go through the rocks into the smaller part and continue to the end (dont worry it is safe). You can swim down there for an extra 10 minutes one way. It is actually prettier too! You feel like you are swimming in a jungle! I had the crocodile as food, it was fine. Heads up: all the choices at this restaurant are 15CUC so no savings here but there is a booth in the parking lot that offers sandwiches and good BURGERS for 3CUC!!! The ocean part is to die for. I saw huge schools of fish after only a few minutes. I personally liked the corals here, lots of colour and variety. Dont believe the Debbie Downers. There are over 20 dive sites within 10 minutes and many shipwrecks put there on purpose for our entertainment. This is snorkelling paradise! If you try a little you can even see monster groupers, come on, where else can do do all of this FOR FREE???????? Yes I did say free.
Amazing for snorkelers and scuba divers (even though you cant scuba here). It gets crowded quickly so try to visit early. The water is crystal clear and 70 meters deep, but it does get narrow if you follow it towards the sea so be careful exploring. There are tons of fishes and the nearby restaurant is pretty good. Another bonus is the open sea less than 3 minutes away which is also great for snorkeling, with tons of large and beautiful fish despite the drab corals.
Wonderful swimming hole which is connected to the sea and is full of beautiful tropical fish.
Would recommend for big marine biology fans, I couldn’t personally see much life in there!
Nice cenote with fish inside.
Was amazing
Beautiful place, completely for free
Very interesting swimming/diving spot...an inland cave connecting to sea 100m away.
Gorgeous, great place to swim
Awesome place !!!@
I thought this place would be more breath taking than it was in reality. That may seem harsh but I would recommend Caleta Buena if you are searching for a tranquil natural pool to enjoy. It is the depth of the cenote that makes cueve de los peces special. There is the option to do a scuba dive here (as long as you are not a beginnerfor a reasonable price.
Clean sea water! My kid likes here with the fish. The washroom is simple and lack if water.
A hidden gem. Watch out for the spiky rocks and youll be fine
A hidden gem. Beautiful cenote- you must get in and swim!
Great spot for scuba diving, even for beginners
The cave looks really nice. I dived in the sea, it was beautiful. Lots of corals and fishes.
Brutal.
an amazing heaven includes a cave and a sea wall. There is an underwater cave the depth is about 70 meters, the water on the surface is not that much salty but by going through the cave the rate of salt is getting more because the cace is connected to the sea. Also you can sea some kind of fishes and really big cave shrimp.I should add I went through the cave with Scub diving equipment a couple of months ago, it was one my best experience around the world really .Dont forget there is a nice beach with the coral wall also, by passing the wall the depth will be more than 400 meters and the visibility is more than 30 meters also.
Gorgeous secluded beach with snorkeling and all-inclusive drinks and lunch
Great spot to go Snorkeling and relax on a hot day.The water is clear and you can see all type of little fishes: rainbow fish and blue fish.On one side is snorkeling and on the other side is a small water cave that you can swim in as well.
Best spot for snorkeling, there is plenty of colorful fish here!
A great place to stop on the way to Bay of Pigs. This is the deepest flooded cave in Cuba (70 meters). There is a restaurant and they offer rental of diving equipment. Swimming in the cave was free and fun.
Stunning and beautiful spot to snorkle or dive.
