Caution Cafe & Bistro - Bar in Seremban, Malaysia
Caution Cafe & Bistro in Seremban
Description
Balans is really an institution. You can find a good choice of quality good and great atmosphere. This place is open almost 24h so it has been also very popular place to grab a bit with people going out in Soho.
MoreCame here with my friends for breakfast/brunch, and I got the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. The portion was massive, and it was delicious. The staff were also very attentive and happily gave us an extra pot of maple syrup when my friend asked for some more. The smoothies we all tried out were also delicious and freshly made. Good value, and highly highly recommended!
MoreVegan breakfast option was one of the worst foods i have ever eaten. The Falafel sausages were frozen not even freshly made. The patatoes were tossed in so much seasoning and rosemary, strong smell.Still dont understand why i should be obliged to pay service charge. The waitress was awfully happy and excited now i know why. Avoiding this place.Disliked the whole atmosphere.
MoreWent at 2 am. Quite crowed and noisy. The French toast was not soaked in egg. I am not sure there was any egg in the French toast. The caramel and syrup with the bananas and nuts was nice. Its ashamed the topping covered toast instead of French toast.
MoreReally enjoyed my experience here.Food was lovely, came out hot and really well presented and was just enough that it was filling. Drinks were nice and nice and the service was fast and helpful. Was served as soon as we entered the restaurant, staff were friendly and quick!
MoreIts so lovely you spend all your money! 😅 staff are wonderful and welcoming, foods nice and cocktails are AMAZING try the espresso Martini you wont be disappointed! Also Medusa is delicious 😋
MoreWent there for team lunch. More of a brunch place if youre into that. Had steak and eggs with crispy potatoes. Very good price and portion. Steak was cooked perfectly. Potatoes were a tad greasy. Booth tables are a bit small. Coffee was amazing. Overall pleasant experience. Staff were fun and friendly. Make sure you get the spinach. Its good for you! Noisy coffee and smoothie machine if youre sitting next to the bar. The back area is more quieter.
MoreI’ve been wanting to come and eat at this place for a while and I finally did two days ago. The store felt cozy and welcoming, and so were the staff. The breakfast was good and the coffee one of the best I’ve had in London. Will definitely go back.
MoreThe place has a lovely vibe, very friendly staff and nice seating area. However, the food is pretty unimpressive in my opinion. I had Egg Benedict with salmon and it was okay but the muffins aren’t that fresh. On an additional note, the flat white I had was really good. Was nice for a quick brunch, don’t think I’ll come again.
MoreThe place was busy and we was lucky enough to get a table outside on the street, perfect really considering the weather was amazing. Glasses of water was instantly poured and table reset with cutlery. He had eggs benedict, I had lobster benedict which came with bacon and avocado. Eggs was cooked to perfection and both dishes was a decent portion. Coffee was nice. Servers was great, polite and quick.
MoreWent for lunch yesterday for the first time. It was great, lovely inside and had table by window. Meal was great - fish and chips and eggs florentine. The pudding at end was simply divine. The waiting staff are very good and efficient. Will come back as a great Soho spot to eat.
MoreDirty sticky tables outside. I needed to use the table with paper and tablet and I couldn’t. I never had such a disgusting and uncomfortable experience, I couldn’t resist anymore so I paid and escaped to another cleaner non sticky venue from which I’m writing this review. It took take minutes to get the notoriously very slow service to come to my table to tell me they can’t help it because it’s the varnish that’s sticky. This means they know very well about the issue and they didn’t fixed it because simply they don’t care, oh Soho! See in the pictures how the table glued itself to the napkin and see all the sticky residues left on the bottom of my paper bag that originally was pristine, don’t sit there with your expensive clothes or gadgets or work papers, they’ll ruin them. £4.50 for an ice latte that I didn’t enjoy, that I hated. They won’t see me there anymore also because the previous time I spent a fortune with their overpriced dishes and drinks, they didn’t ask me (intentionally?if I had or wanted to collect points on the card and refused to collect after I paid the bill. AVOID THIS PLACE!!
MoreAn updated review from my one 11 months ago.Nice vibe, but clearly, the staff are very new and havent had much training. We had chicken wings which were delicious and then the poussin which was served on noodles. The noodles were not cooked sadly and we didnt get a check-back to say this so told the waiter at the end.No real apology for the noodles and it kinda put us off having dessert and another bottle of wine. It shouldnt take much to make some bad noodles better with a bit of customer service tbh.Ive been going to Balans since I moved to London and would go again, but probably order more drinks (which are great!and less food.
MoreThe food here is absolutely amazing... hats off to the chefs. The cocktails are lovely here, just the right amount of mix in one drink, the bonus side is that you can order cocktails without ordering food, if you ever just want a cheeky drink then go here.Staff are lovely and very polite.
MoreLovely service with nicely cooked food. Varied menu with options for any meal of the day. Chilled atmosphere. Staff and especially the manager were very attentive
MoreExcellent café from morning to evening, near Covent GardenBeautifuly cooked and presented food from motivated, efficient and friendly staffVery nice coffee and excellent English breakfastsHighly recommended
MoreHad the loveliest spontaneous lunch date here today! We ordered the cheesy omelette, eggs florentine and ended with a Delicacy dessert to share and it was all delicious. Great vegetarian options! All three members of staff that were waiting today around 12/1 were so friendly, attentive and simply good vibes (I believe one was named Diego, great shirt).Definitely will be recommending!
MoreGreat spot for breakfast! We had the lobster Benedict and it was delicious. Coffee was great too and also the French toast.
MoreFood was extremely disappointing. Had halloumi side which was basically a block of burnt halloumi (see picture). Salmon burger was absolutely appalling, as the only thing that was accurately described on the menu, was the presence of salmon. From a food safety and hygiene point of view, all our (sub-standardmeal items were presented on worn wooden boards, with the food directly in contact with the porous surfaces. Service was good though.
MoreIt was our first time there, the food was amazing, the service so kind and quick. Highly recommend this place.
MoreWe came late on a Sunday and expected to be able to get food and drinks. Drinks arrived on time and were okay. The food took about 30 mins and the burger came out cold and the side salad came out without any dressing. The squid was nothing to write home about either.Service was terrible. Super slow, no smiles or friendly greetings. We felt like a nuisance when we asked for things like allergen menu, water, and clean plates (they brought out dirty plates initially). These seem like pretty normal things to ask for, but I had a feeling the servers would have slapped us if it were socially acceptable.I gave two stars because the guy from the kitchen immediately added olive oil dressing to our salad, and quickly swapped the dirty plates for clean ones. He was the only great member of the staff. The decor, music, and atmosphere was also nice. You can see in my other reviews that I’m not difficult and generally like to have a good time at restaurants, but this experience was just too bad. We opted out of the service charge.
MoreGreat breakfast, decent price, big portions and lovely service. No complaints, really
MoreVery good atmosphere. The food delicious !freshly juice and food beautifully presented. The service is really very good, the bar tidy. Good music playing, great place to work with a computer and have a coffee also convenient to have lunch. I would recommend and will definitely come back again!
Moregay friendly location with a very good British fusion kitchen and good drinks. Nice and friendly staff
MoreFirstly, the servers are so nice and friendly! A good space with window seats. Fun if you love to people watch. I tried the chicken dish, I wouldnt say its fabulous but its an interesting Asian British fusion and I dont mind having it again. The cocktail was good!
MoreUnderwhelmed. As a single diner I was sat in the back designed for large groups even though it wasn’t busy and 2 tops in front where available. Tea came out well after entrée. Food was barely warm. Still nice vibe. Could have been great with better service.
MorePerfect atmosphere and lovely decor in the heart of Soho. The Full English was delicious. The Pancakes are insanely sweet and the portion size is huge! Given only 4 stars as the service was a little slow and we were charged twice for 1 portion of baked beans.
MoreI was very disappointed with the dinner. We didnt have to wait a long time for the table, so that was great. I had the big plate pork T-Bone and my friend had the Salmon and both dishes were a bit disappointing. The Salmon was basically only the Salmon, definitely needed a side dish, but for the price we thought it didnt need the side dish, and nothing was said when we ordered. The pork was very very dry. And the vegetables with it had some burned parts, literally black! I understand it could be slightly burned on the tips, but in this case it was at least one of the sides of the veggie, black. We order another small dish that was the Ham Hock Terrine but we didnt finish it, because the Ham was literally out of the fridge, cold and tasteless. Definitely not returning. For the price it was, Im very surprised.
MoreReally nice place to have drinks. The cocktails were good. The place was kept well heated too.
MoreGood option for dining at Soho!!!I have mixed feelings with this place as I used to go there when it was a small place at different location on the same street. It has lost a bit of personality but food is good and it is very lively at all times. Will be back on my next visit to london!
MoreDelicious pancakes, but paying an extra £3.50 for a side of berries felt a bit ridiculous... lovely service and probably would come back to try some other bits from the menu
MoreThey have all-day brunch🥰Absolutely loved my Benedict eggs with lobster for dinner!
MoreLovely vibey brunch spot. French toast is nice but a bit on the dry side - they are generous with the toffee sauce but I wish the bread was a bit more soaked. Pancakes are light and fluffy, but again a bit on the dry side.
MoreIt was my 1st time for Kedgeree. I like the taste of the dish and the portion is perfect. The pancakes were a bit too rich. If you dont like too sweet, you should ask for the syrup to be served seperately. The service was good.
MoreThis place is unbelievable, great choice of food and drinks. The staff are extremely nice and welcoming. The gent at front of house is exactly that, very accommodating and polite. The food, the pair of us had the pancakes. Along with a couple of coffees. Absolutely 5 star all round! The best we’ve come across in London so far without fail! One thing I would add, I don’t personally believe in added gratuity on the end of any bill. I think tips should be given for great service and not compulsory. We gave an extra 15% to our waiter but it’s really not needed in a place like this when the staff are so good.. I didn’t get the waiters name, but if they were all like him, everyone should be tipping 15% with the service he gives. Will be back for sure!!
MoreDelicious pancakes, great spot for all meals of the day it seems. The food was beautifully prepared and reasonably priced for the area too. The restaurant itself is very well furnished with polite and efficient staff. Will be returning!
MoreHonestly, one of the best breakfast I had so far! Well recommended, I had steak&eggs for breakfast, that was amazing! Also the service was top notch
MoreGreat Pancakes but NOT the syrup. My pancakes arrived covered in a blanket of thick ultra sweet syrup. It was a bit like glue in consistency and detracted from the otherwise great pancakes. It’s a shame they don’t offer real (not flavoured but actualMaple Syrup. I’d gladly pay extra for that as an option. TIP: Ask for the standard syrup on the side.
MoreWent for brunch and loved everything about the place. Delicious full English, friendly staff and gorgeous interiors. Picked up a membership card while I was there too. Cant wait to go back.
MoreBalans No.60 Soho was lovely. We had brunch there and the food was delicious; the best pancakes I’ve had for a long time. Completely affordable but top quality. The staff are great, they’re super polite and friendly. The decor inside is super quirky, exactly what you’d expect from Soho!
MoreThe service, The food I had had eggs benedict and my friend had the full English is of high quality I had no complaints I know how this place operates about 4 years ago I did security here once with a then colleague and now then friend. On the door.... From Peckham to Soho and beyond...... That would be a good title for something. Anyway getting back on point I would happily eat here again.
MoreWent here for out Office Festive Lunch. Staff were amazing from the moment we arrived. Food was delicious as always. Thank you!
MoreWhat not to love about this restaurant! Fast and friendly service open until late, with a huge menu full of options for everyone! The brunch is delicious and the lattes, cocktails, mocktails too! The desserts were a pleasant surprise the vegan chocolate cake was delicious! Great decorations and ambiance
MoreThe pancakes were the highlight here! Amazing in every way. We had an excellent brunch with great service. The Eggs Benedict / royale were perfect. The Eggs in Hell have the perfect amount of spice in them, and the potatoes are delicious. We got the pancakes with banana and berries, highly recommend them.
MoreAmazing place for a breakfast in Soho. If you don’t have a booking and you are coming after 11, chances are it’s full. But if you are in before or around 10, there’s space. Really delicious food and love that the ad one come in sides!
MoreThoughts 💭Everything was spot on except one key component. The bread they use, I mean what on earth is it! It looks the real deal. You can taste the mixture they use for their custard is delicious. The toppings were plentiful. But, the bread brought the whole dish down. If they swapped to brioche I truly believe this could be up there with one of the best french toast I have had but the bread was that terrible I couldn’t possibly give it another look 👀Although I would totally go back to try the pancakes hence the higher rating then the dish deserved. I don’t believe there is a quality issue in the restaurant .
MoreWe went there for a group brunch because of how well-known it is.Unfortunately my experience was not good.I ordered the “two eggs anyway” with a side of avocado. It came as two overcooked poached eggs on extremely dry sourdough bread with a side of half avocado which is half an hour away of rotting.I didn’t want to make a big deal out as we are enjoying the group presence but I got similar bad reviews across the table about their food.I wouldn’t go again tbh. I wish it were better. One star for the hospitable waiters and another for the atmosphere.
MoreI visited from the states and did not have high hopes for English food. But I tell you, I was pleasantly surprised at how flavorful the food was. I ordered the Full English with French Toast and it was delectable. I truly enjoyed my meal. The service was great! We didn’t have a reservation, walked in and were immediately seated. Didn’t wait long for our meals. Our waitress made meal recommendations and explained different food items I was unfamiliar with (I.e black pudding). I will most definitely be back.
MoreFood was delicious, surprisingly big portions. Few minor service hiccups (long wait for food, missing cutlery, no sugar for coffeeotherwise it would have been 5 stars.
MoreI have been here with my boyfriend around 11.45am without any expectations, but the food were surprisingly good and the service of Fabio was fabulous. He was so busy with so many customers, able to deal with everyone even if obviously he was under stress because alone, but still smiling and trying to give the best service, and he did! Thank you Fabio, we will definitely come back :)
