Catholic Church - Catholic church in Wanlaweyn, Somalia
This location is not a church, it is misleading. Remove the pin from here and go to the original location if you know how to do it or you just pinned it randomly, or you just want to start awareness with a wrong location?

a dirty place
real
It was built in the early years world war 2 it come down to 1990s by the hands of warlords and demolished still is Somali heritage location
This is a colonial skeleton. i wish we could turned into a place of worship(Masjid).
Jesus is still King, and the God of gods. Empuaaaaa
I am a proud muslim but I owe other religions a great respect perhaps I wouldnt want it to be rebuilt instead I would change it to be a museum and reserve all the history hidden in there
Is diji ok
Too bad such a beautiful cathedral is destroyed, I hope it will be rebuilt in the near future
Good my Google maps
The Mogadishu Cathedral is a Roman Catholic. Cathedral located in downtown Mogadishu, Somalia. The church had a elementary school run by nuns.. In Somalia Christianity and Judaism was a minority religion in Muslim-majority. Also, Somalis were not religious people before the war, their more loyal patriot to their nationalism. Before the war life in Mogadishu was mellow relaxed enjoyable beautiful... we had Italian butchers, Italian bakeries, italian coffee shops ,Italian grocery stores cereals etc::. Before the war, we all lived next to each other with peace and love Whites, Blacks, Browns, Asians, Indians, Arabs. Somalia had many people from different nationalities living.
I hope to see this place someday.for He is risen...

Beautiful place. Such a pity about its current state. Hopefully it will be rebuilt again. God rest its last Archbishop - Pietro Salvatore Colombo.
It should be rebuild again
Bad haus
Get the way
The church is the very symbol of Europeancolonialism. It won’t be rebuilt again like my fellow Somali said it’s closed forever.
Didn’t understand why there’s a church
Historical site.
Why not repair it?

Maxaa waayey ganiisada chatollic oo bankiga dhexe ku aktaala
Oldest Church in Somalia!
Its closed forever.
its not open now
Wonderful piece of history hope Christianity will grow to be stronger than never seen before
Remarkable to see. Sadly majority of the structure destroyed but some relics have actually escaped the destruction including a magnificent carved out piece near the ceiling. The ceiling is however missing. One can only hope that one day this building is restored along with the nearby buildings that would have been beautiful once upon a time.
