Lovely cathedral..very impressive
Beautiful Cathedral. Always kept in wonderful condition, Thanks to all the volunteers. Quiet and relaxing. There are two Cathedrals in Tuam, while qualifies it to be The Smallest City in the World.

Blessed with beautiful Cathedral.🙏
I was into visit the Cathedral of the Ausumption for the first since renovations were complete thankfully alot of the original archeture remains the same. I have may it be said going to the the Cathedral for many years it is a fabulous building built around 1830 shortly after Catholic Emancipation during the time of what was called the Penal laws catholics were forbidden from worshiping then around 1830 the ban as they say was lifted and this magnificent building was erected the skill in building was magnificent the stone work cut stone really is somthing to see this building has really stood the test of time excellent capacity l could put a rough figure at a about a thousand great work has been done around the altar with a disabled lift installed a wonderful marble steps around the altar all around great improvements. May l all say that there are two Cathedrals in Tuam worth pointing just as we marvel at the work done on the Catholic one the Cathedral of the Assumption the other Cathedral named St. Marys is much older and is worthy of a review as well at some point it is now used by the Church of lreland but was originally Catholic dating back to many hundred years before the Cathedral of the Ausumption was built this building has been known for three Cathedrals in one a marvellous to visit as well. Tuam was always called the smallest city in the world because of the two Cathedrals as it can be seen l love history particularly these Cathedrals great symbols of faith which are now in serious danger which is another story l know the review was for the Cathedral of the Assumption but l could not let it pass without mentioning the other Cathedral known as St Marys.
Beautiful
I was quite pleased with this cathedral its the only cat. Church apart from the schools convent churches it has had a face lift of late i like the sound very clear very good priests and a new bishop a lot going for it will visit it again soon

This church is beautiful quiet place to pray and light candles for family and friends most likely is prob the most beautiful church on earth for someone to get married in 💖
Peaceful cathedral. I personally get great comfort from visiting there
Travelling through to Galway City. It was nice to stop for a while here. As many of the streets were one way, it look us a while to find it. We werent disappointed. What a lovely Cathedral in the centre of Tuam. Im glad we came off the road, and detoured to see this lovely place of God
Great old building,stained glass windows
Attended a funeral at the cathedral recently. Probably one of the nicest services I have ever attended. The church itself has a very good feeling. The priest who performed the service and who hails from Castlebar has a natural matter of fact human touch, using everyday language which commands attention and makes a difference. The singing by both a girl and a gentleman who also played an electric organ/keyboard was powerful stuff. Really gifted beautiful singing! A sad occasion made special and memorable.
Best cathedral in all of Tuam

Peaceful Prayerful Needs a little I saw the light!!
Called in when it was empty. The gloomiest church lve ever visited - a real mausoleum!
Lovely church. Uplifting.
Big church, great for pictures, if you want to pray in it, go to mass, weddings,Etc.
Very beautiful and divine church
Warm ,got through the service without too much delay
The church itself is quite grey and drab. And I didnt use the church at all. However, the car park outside had plenty of spaces, wasnt expensive and was convenient for the middle of Tuam. On the day I was there the other car parks we went to were all full but the one outside the church had plenty of spaces.I have no idea if the church is worth a visit, but the car park is.
Its an amazing Cathedral
