Cathedral of Santa Cruz - Cathedral in San Carlos, Bolivia
Cathedral of Santa Cruz in San Carlos
Description
I liked that the cathedral wasn’t overly decorated with gold. Liked the brick layered appearance from the outside and the look of panelled wooden ceiling inside. It looked like there was mould on some parts though, they require maintenance..!!
MoreBeautiful Church !You can climb the clock tower for 3bs.
It’s very original architecture example of the country and Santa Cruz dela Sierra and located in the 24 de septiembre square. It’s huge and sophisticated. You can make a return around at the right side of the building at the night to many small hand crafted sellers around and in the small square some street art or dance that you can see.
MoreThe cathedral square is the most attractive part of the center town experience. I often go in to a cathedral to get cool, but I had no such luck here. The ceiling was madeof wood. This is a Franciscan church and although you would expect the nearby Monastery to be a mans domain, it is in fact the residence of the Poor Clares, who make good use of the church too.
MoreBeautiful Church
Very clean!!
One of the most iconic places in the city of Santa Cruz de la sierra, it is the jewel of the main square in downtown, It is a beautiful cathedral with lots of history to be told in the historical center of the city
MorePlaza 24 Sept
Amazing place good food around the square
One of the main attraction of Santa Cruz, is this church with a clock tower. Very peaceful. The church is beautiful both inside and on the outside. Lots of place to sit for the public in the square where you come across all kind of people. I would spend my whole evening here. This place is very close to 24 de septiembre plaza. Lots of eating options nearby. Would surely recommend this hang out place.

Peaceful place to pray and go upstairs on a viewer
Welcoming, warm people and a place that takes you back to that nice 1960s feelings!
MoreCathedrals around LA are always an inescapable visit. This is the case and in addition is one of livelier spots in Santa Cruz. Go around carefully enough not to bother people performing rites. There s a museum inside, close to the main altar. Some preserved colonial catholic objects in silver arw at display. Is closed around mid day.
MoreBeautiful church. Arts and crafts around the side of the church
Just beautiful..
One of the few tourist actractions here in Santa Cruz.
The church is beautiful both outside and in. We climbed the bell tower which gave good views of the surroundings. There is a large plaza in front of the church where many people gathered.

MoreBeautiful cathedral. It also has a small museum
A place to share a moment of faith. The Cathedral of Santa Cruz is located right next to the main Square and other historical buildings. You can also climb the stairs of the tower and access to a spectacular view of the city.Next to the Cathedral you will be able to see some art galleries and open exhibitions at Manzana Cero.
MoreA very nice place to visit as tourist and citizen
Free good
A very beautiful historic cathedral.
Beautiful old brick church. To go up in the clock tower its 3 Bolivianos, well worth it, and hundreds of steps in a spiral staircase. The views are wonderful. Be careful if going to the top where the bells ring on the hour, very loud! There are two other floors to stop and take pictures from. The church itself doesnt have gold inside and has cobwebs on the wooden vaulted ceiling, but nice anyway.
Morenice church building
