Catamount Mountain Resort in Hancock

Went Ziplining with some family for my 70th birthday. We all had a great time. The two instructors who taught us what we had to do were wonderful, friendly and fun to spend the day with.

Such a great time.Beside the zip loins experience, the team there did a phenomenal job all across. All were very kind, professional, we all felt super safe and also engaging and funny. Recommend all people to go visit

We hosted our wedding brunch here and had several of our guests stayed on the property for our wedding that was nearby. The staff was incredibly communicative and easy to work with and the space was exactly what we needed. It was a great end to an amazing weekend.

We did the monster zip line aka the usas longest. The whole experience was really great. It was efficient and we had just enough of an additional zip line to the long one to make everything worthwhile. It was not over commercialized or oversold. Beautiful views, great staff and contemporary lodge.

We did the Adventure course again and again, it was great. The instructors are so friendly and awesome and the experience is unmatched. The only thing that I found ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS was the price of drinks such as water and soda. A small 20 oz bottle is MORE THAN FIVE DOLLARS. I’m sorry, but that’s just wrong. It really is. So all of you reading reviews - definitely pack a cooler. Do NOT buy drinks there. SMH

All Trails from yellow to Black were high quality. The 2 blacks are the toughest ones I have done compared to other aerial Ropes course in New England.The first black was mostly endurance. Double Black was lots of balance and grip strength. I really liked the monkey bars on that course. The staff were very friendly and helpful. But there could have been 1 or 2 more staff people on the course. But probably like everywhere else tough to hire. I will be back and recommend to other people.

My bf, myself and 2 of our friends went ziplining here yesterday, WHAT A BLAST! I cannot say enough great things about the staff, really fantastic people! The zipline was absolutely amazing and the mountain is gorgeous! The staff had us all dying laughing from the moment we got there. We will definitely be going back in the Fall! 12/10!

SO MUCH FUN! The zip line staff are super nice, and the whole thing is very well run. Very safe. In our group the age range was 13 to 81, and everyone had a blast.

The zip line tour at Catamount was awesome! The entire staff was professional, engaging, and knowledgeable about each stage of the experience. I also really liked their little jokes! They all seemed to enjoy what they were doing even though they have to do the same spiel with each group. I felt that our safety was the number one priority and I did feel safe enough to zip down a 5500 foot line! We would have done it again in a heartbeat if that was an option. Maybe that’s something that Catamount could consider. Maybe offer another zip for a small extra fee? We would totally have done that. All in all a fun experience

The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. The yellow and green courses we tried were fun and easy to follow. I went with 2 kids. The 10 year old had a blast. The 7 year old was a little too small. Theres a reason thats the cutoff age, I think at 8 she would do better. I highly recommend for a fun family adventure (with the right age kids).

Went back for 2nd time in 5 years and what an experience both times. I took my 2 sons the first trip and then this trip I took my wife and 2-13 yr old daughters. We had an absolute blast and so many laughs. We appreciate the staff so much and what a great system! I think EVERY ski mountain should do this for the off season!

We had a great time. Each person in our party had a different threshold and there was a course for each of those. (We did the easy, medium,and hard). The staff were great and there was room to picnic outside.No discount for teens.

It was very easy to get to the location, the staffs were all wonderful. The views from the top was so beautiful it was hard to leave. We checked out people doing the zipline and the staff was giving us a quick summary of how everything works. Definitely gonna try it the next time we are there!

I went ziplining for the first time yesterday along with someone who was afraid of heights. The staff was amazing. They were very knowledgeable and informative. They provided some lighthearted humor to the experience to relieve the nerves.I was surprised at how little we had to hike. I expected to have to walk a lot longer but we didnt have to. The view is beautiful and I definitely plan on being back.

The staff was very helpful, friendly, attentive and quick with their assistance. They ensured a safe environment while we enjoyed ourselves on the Aerial Adventure Park. My children had a great time doing the various exciting courses. Would definitely come back and would recommend it to others.

My husband and I went zip lining and what an AMAZING experience! Erik was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and made the experience fun! The rest of the team was jus as experienced, friendly and helpful!!! Can’t say enough good things about this place and the staff! BEST ZIP LINING EVER!We are planning to come back in the fall!

Staff were extremely helpful with naturally positive attitudes! The park’s courses provided a great family activity! So relaxing to just be able to enjoy the shade and breeze of the trees!

The experience was fantastic.Our instructors Jim, and Eric were very informative, yet kept things informal, but professional. We hope to see them later in the season. Training was quick, equipment is simple, perfect day for a fun ride.

Fantastic! Staff is excellent. Equipment is first rate. Great scenery. We all went as fast as we could. It was a blast. Very safe by the way. Really nice people. Well organized.

Everything was excellent during our zip line tour! The guides were super friendly and clear with instructions, the views were beautiful and the zip line itself was such a fun experience! Loved it!

The Aerial Adventure Park was such a fun experience! All of the staff was so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend doing this if you like adventurous activities.

I traveled from Pennsylvania to try the "longest Zipline in the USA"---I couldnt resist the challenge which was worth the drive. Staff was very professional and kind towards me during the process and made my experience more comfortable.

This is an expensive zipline and I thought it was too expensive but I took my niece and nephew from Mexico there while they were visiting. The staff was excellent making it fun for all and taking me to a great spot to video them zipping down. The views were excellent. I wish it were a bit less expensive and more accessible to more people but overall, very very impressed.

Great experience! Took my grandchildren, ages 18, 11, 11. They had a challenging, fun filled time. They were able to climb independently and at their own pace. Staff helpful and attentive.We will be back!Thank you for an adventurous day.

We did the ropes course, my 12 year old granddaughter and her 74 year old grandpa!! It was very challenging but doable and a lot of fun!We started with the easy (relativelycourse and worked up to the black diamond which was very challenging.Great staff and very well lasted out.

We had an amazing time! Felt very safe on the line and the staff was the best. This is definitely a return trip over and over again.

My daughter & I Zip lined, it was our 2nd experience, she loved it & so did I. All the people were Awesome, they taught us what we needed & had us practice with our gear & commands from staff on the landings.. Safety is always first which is the reason we Love everyone at Catamount. Also remember to bring a few good jokes with you to share with the Zip team. You might learn a few new ones while you are there. One thing is we feel like family and the team is there for us 100 %. It was so Great to have this experience with my daughter. On our way home she told me like 3 times what a great time she had with me.We are coming back in the fall when the leaves are colorful, from mid-October to the end of October when the leaves are the most colorful. I hear that they are Spectacular then. Great Job to all at Catamount who helped us on The ZipMonster !!!! 🌞

Fantastic experience at Catamount doing the zip tour!! Staff was fantastic and super helpful. We had a reluctant 11 year old they helped have the time of his life… already planning on a return trip this fall to see the foliage. The views are amazing

Absolutely awesome good time!! Took two kids, 11 & 7, to the ropes course. It was a great time. The staff were perfect. The vibe was adventurous and chill. The activities themselves were SAFE. Highly recommend. My 11 year old begged to come back. Phenomenal.

Your staff was excellent! Courteous, knowledgeable, friendly and clearly loving their job! The experience was very fun and exciting. Nice to see that Tracey was there even in the summer-- I love her - she always has a smile, song and treat! Thank you!!!

Did the Ariel adventure course! We had a blast! I recommend for any level. The workers are very safe and helpful. We felt 100% safe the whole time. At one time I was nervous on one of the “elements” and the workers talking me through it . My husband and I enjoyed our time and will be back. Great way to spend time together

4 generations of our family took the USAs longest zip line at Catamount. It was great! From our 11 year old to our 75 year old great grandmother, all were SO happy to have done the zip line. The crew were all fantastic, especially with one of us being hearing impaired. THANK YOU ALL for a great experience!

Great adventure course!Friendly and very helpful staff.The course is all shaded, so on a very sunny and humid and 87 degree day, we stayed relatively comfortable.

Our group thoroughly enjoyed the Zip line experience at Catamount! The staff. Oils not have been more helpful or supportive, and several members of our group expressed some version of the words “I cannot wait to do that again,” when they finished!

This was a breathing experience! Their guides were upbeat and brought a lot of good energy. The views are stunning as soon as you pull in to the parking lot and then become even more remarkable while on the Zipline. I Highly recommend this adventure.

Wife, 20 YR old son and myself went for the Catamount Adventure course which we have enjoyed several times in the past. We bought passes for three adults, $296(Ouch! We were directed to a prep room where we slowly realized we were not going to the Aerial Adventure course but on a zipline tour. Disappointed, we were excited for the work out, we decided to stick with the tour. We bought my son a Catamount Sweatshirt to stay warm($90 ouch!Staff were all friendly and knowledgeable, we felt safe. Honestly, our favorite part was probably the slow chairlift ride to the top. The swallows were shooting back and forth beneath us hitting insects and the grasses move like waves in the wind. The big drop was exhilarating for the first few seconds and many of the views were beautiful. You feel like you can control your descent speed well. If you are light, like less than 110 lbs you may not make it to the springs if you brake too soon. Then you have to get fished with a rope and carabiner, but the person helping you is very friendly. We would all much rather do the adventure course, but given the 1.6 hour ride each way, decided to try it. Fun and beautiful, friendly staff, but expensive.

Zip line was amazing experience for my kids however I have to compliment the warm, friendly and helpful staff. They were excited to be there and that my daughters and I had a great time - they made sure we had pictures to memorialize the experience and answered any and all questions regarding the zip line, the resort and the surrounding area. Top - notch activity which I highly recommend.

I had an amazing time with my four daughters. It was a beautiful day. The instructors were very personable and encouraging and made us feel very safe. Would definitely recommend to other families!!Very thrilling adventure!

The staff here at Catamount are all gracious and willing to help.We had a Boy Scout Troop of 25 boys and the staff handled it with ease.Can’t wait to come back!!!!And a huge thank you to Alyssa Hines!!!She was a huge help in planning our adventure.

Catamount was ok for the day. Went here because it was a convenient Middle point to meet a friend from Massachusetts. Good for someone that is improving on their skills. But not a lot of runs. Prices are similar to bigger resorts...but without the big resort...Definitely dont go to the Taco truck. Empanadas were about the size of small dumplings. 2 for $16?!! Never again!

Had a good time ...lots of runs ...in lodge not much food selection. Nice fire pits! Maintenance really needs to shovel. Entry to lodge from parking lot was snow chunked...what happened to rubber mats? Parking lot needs ice melt, sand. something...I slipped and fell returning to car.

Overall a decent mountain. Will be better next year when all their lift replacements open. Good variety of trails. Very busy on weekends. Nice new lodge. Owners are putting some money into this place. Staff were nice and friendly. Not crazy about the line organization, kind of a free for all narrowing down to the RFID gate. Snow conditions were decent but does get skied off by afternoon with the weekend crowds.

All the staff we met were so helpful and kind from the lift operators to the food services. We went on Presidents Day weekend, so it was crazy crowded. We were surprised to wait 2 hours for equipment rental alone, and every lift had a long line. The easiest slope was closed, so my kids had to stick with the bunny hill. Nevertheless, it was a fun weekend, and a good first ski trip for my kids.

While I cant hold the snow conditions against the mountain, I can definitely comment about the disappointing design throughout the entire mountain. Its like the designers had never skied before.To start, the parking lot was a sheet of actual ice, as were the walkways. Theres unclear/no signage about the where to pick up your RFID cars at the self-service machines. It was blocked by a line of people waiting to buy tickets. The main lift line is sloped downwards so you have to use poles to support yourself. Its an uphill battle to get to the MA lifts from the NY side and there were very disorganized lift lines throughout. The RFID gates were only on one lift, and it had several broken gates, so hypothetically anyone could just show up and ski without paying. Theres a pretty view from the top of the mountain, some nice fire pits near the lodge and it looks like there are two more lifts under construction that might ease some of the buildup of people waiting for lifts, but they probably should have focused on improving the mountain experience before rebuilding the lodges. Speaking of the lodges, it sounds like they are going to be addressing the bag storage issue but until then, everyones bags will be all over the floor of the lodge and under tables. Glad to see theyre working on things though!

Expensive - but pretty fun. The Zip Tour has 3 lines and cost $230 for two people and that was very worth it. And apparently you can ride the Catamonster twice for an additional fee.But that fee is $120 for two people!! For not even all 3 lines, just the last one (a 4 minute ride). Honestly, they could have made $80 or even a hundred off us, but 120 is just too much :(The saving grace here is the staff. Particularly Joey - he was SO friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone you speak to on the zip tour is a wonderful human. We had a beautiful ride on the chair lift, an exhilarating few minutes of flying down the Catamonster, and much fun getting to know the staff.EDIT: Thanks for your response Rich but to clarify, we DID NOT ride the catamonster a second time because it was too expensive. You are valuing a single 4 minute ride on a zipline at the same price as your 3 hour Adventure Park with 7 courses ($60 per person). This did not make sense to us so we cut the day short.

Went ziplining for the first time ever and it was an amazing experience. All the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I plan on going again and also will stay there at some point next year. Theyre doing a lot of work around the resort so Im looking forward to seeing the changes.

Good price for a nice little mountain. Pretty decent size ice patches in spots but overall pretty nice conditions. Food is a little pricey but what mountain isn’t. I had the grilled chicken sandwich as was pleasantly surprised how good it was.
