Platos variados, bien elaborados y sabrosos. El local cuenta con terraza y vistas privilegiadas del malecón. Tanto los cócteles como los platos están muy bien elaborados y cuentan con gran variedad de ingredientes. Recomendamos el picadillo a la habanera. Sus desayunos y pizzas, deliciosos también. El personal, encantador.

Esta localizado frente al Malecón de La Habana, muy excelente vista al mar y al lindo atardecer. El servicio excelente, muy atentos y la comida ni se diga. Puedo decir que en este lugar comí de las mejores paellas de mariscos que he probado. Altamente recomendado.

The food was excellent, however our waitress was rude and impatient. We were a group of 7 from the United States. She brought our food and never came back. The young man that finished serving us was great. He got the tip.

Basically the best restaurant in Havana after I spent 3 weeks here, the only place where you can find good standard pizza and great Cuban food, fresh ingredients and great customer service every single time I went!

We order some apps and they were great but the main dishes disappointed. Will give it start for the wonderful music and the service was nice

It’s soooo pretty upstairs with the best view of the Malecon! Like, an amazing view! Watching the sun go down with a glass of wine is ideal, right? Well, this is the location to make that happen. Now that I got that out of the way, the food was just OK. The pasta was fair but the octopus was bland and uneventful. Just wasn’t anything to write home about. The staff was somewhat friendly. They gave us an English and Spanish menu but the waitress wasn’t familiar with the English menu even though it was exactly like the Spanish version .. which in my head was kinda odd but that didn’t play into the three stars. The stars are really because of the view. Keep in mind though, there were multiple levels at the restaurant so guessing your experience may differ. Wouldn’t count it out completely but again, that view.

Location is great, especially for the sunset view. Food is not that great, e.g. soup with raw chicken meat. Prices are ok though for the beers and rums I had. They also sell wifi cards here for 3 CUCs.

Location is excellent, with a wonderful view of the Malecon. Perfect place to have a drink and watch the sunset.Pro : Location. Atmosphere. Ambience and Vibe was lively and upbeat.Cons: Service Staff was unfriendly and dry. It seems like that night they didnt want to be bothered and would rather be somewhere else.Food - All below average. My Seafood Paella was TOO Salty.There are so many other excellent restaurants in the area. This one is not one of them.

Love this place. Beautiful view of the Malecon, the ocean, and the harbour entrance. Great staff - pleasant, friendly, seem to know when to come by the table at just the right time. Our dinner was excellent. Weve already decided to go back.

Great food and fantastic view

For what was supposed to be a very nice restaurant and a recommended place from our Air BnB host. We were disappointed. It was very expensive but not an abundant amount of food. The food was only adequate and my Mom took her food home. Once at home my Mom ate her food the next day and got ill. Could be the food maybe not. In general it was over sold.

Good food, good service, reasonable prices and along the Malecon with an ocean view. Etecsa wifi hotspot as well

Shrimp spaghetti was the best spaghetti Ive ever had.

Went to this place 2-3 times because my friend liked it. The waiters lack good manners. First of all the male waiters won’t stop looking at female customers like perverts. Going to the bathroom is horrible because when you get out you have all those men starring at you as if you were naked. Very uncomfortable situation. Second the female waitress was rude. She asked us where we were from and my friend said she was Mexican and I French. The waitress said to us that we must have had switched our cultures because my friend is white and I have brown skin. The rudest comment I have ever heard. It isn’t the place of a waitress to say such things. Thereafter she was looking at me weird and in a mean way. The food is actually good. Nothing special but still very good. The daiquiris are excellent.

One of the restaurants to skip in my opinion. There are awesome Paladars in Havana which serve much much better food for the same price. My chicken filet wasnt only not-filet like but also raw. They put it on the grill again, but it still wasnt well done afterwards. Ended up eating rice and beans that evening. Mojitos and Coffee were not good as well.

Pretty disappointed that he men working there are like a bunch of dogs in heat.None stop ogling my wife long with acting like 14 year olds when she went to the restroom. Offering to show here personally where they are.As they saw here exiting the ladies room - yelling to their coworkers “she’s coming, she’s coming”. She felt very uncomfortable and disrespected.Would not go back nor would I recommend it.I understand the culture in Latin American countries - but, there was zero class at this “classy” restaurant.The meals was decent - but the treatment there left a bad taste in our mouth.

Great dinner at the higher end of our price scale while in Havana. The service was great and the restaurant was well appointed and very clean and orderly. The food tasted great and very well presented.

Right on the melecon with great views over the seafront. Food and service was very good. A must go to when in Havana.

Fresh seafood, beautiful atmosphere especially overlooking the Malecon. Lobster panfried in butter, paella and the deep fried octopus is definitely a must have!

A bit overrated seeing their prices.I guess you have to pay its location, right in front of the Malecón.

This is the worse nightmare ever!! Got so sick after eating at this place. I was vomiting with fever and diarrhea for 4 days. Avoid this place!! Apparently they do not follow good hygiene practices to elaborate their meals. Run away from this place.

Castropol is great for any time of the day. The breakfast menu as well as the main menu are very nice, the place is very clean, located in front of the Malecon and near old Havana makes it a great place to start or end your walks around the city center.

Nice restaurant on Malecon where you have a sea view. We ordered a plate for two with mixed grilled seafood and meat. Good portion and tasty. Slight disappointment on the grilled lobster that is overcooked and tastes like chicken somehow. 3 side dishes are complementary ("Malanga"(Tarohas no much taste so not recommended.)

二樓的視野很好，可以眺望夕陽跟夜景，餐點都有一定程度的水準，調酒偏淡，但葡萄酒都還不錯。甜點野蠻好吃的，適合好好對待自己的餐廳。通常都需要先定位，不然都是高朋滿座，若白跑一趟就可惜了。第一次散步經過，就覺得應該是好吃的店，但詢問下已經客滿，服務生很友善，跟他情商一下，橋出了位置讓我能坐在外面喝調酒，也預約了隔天的晚餐，第二晚的用餐經驗很好，如果有機會，還會想再來。

This is one of the best restaurants in Havana. It is a beautiful place with 3 levels. I ordered the mixed grill and it was fantastic. Steak, ribs, chicken, shrimp, and lobster were all on one plate, and seasoned well. Every table has a beautiful view of the ocean. There are open air spaces and air conditioning enclosed spaces to eat. The area downstairs is more lively with music and Cuban food and the area upstairs is more elegant with international cuisine. It is a great place to watch the sunset, sip a mojito or have a glass of wine, and dine.

Food was "just ok." Didnt make a return trip. There are much better places for dinner.

The food is bland and nothing impressive at a higher price than other places. We had Garlic shrimp and Lobster together with Rice and beans. The shrimps were "swimming" in oil and very salty, where the lobster was bland and chewy.

The best place across from the famous malecon!!!

This was the first place that we dined in on our trip to Cuba last month. It was phenomenal. Im not sure what my favorite item was but the octopus was amazing. I highly recommend Castropol and will be going back in Oct 2017.

Very good fish and people. A bit expensive but in local terms.

May partially be the upstairs ambiance versus the downstairs but was not very impressed with food or price.

Castropol was the only restaurant on our trip around Cuba (Varadero, Trinidad, Vinales, Havana - january 2017we visited 4 times – it was very close to our hotel and we really craved good food (we usually ate in our casa since it was home cooking – restaurants are really disappointing). Well, first time it was okay – blond Cuban lady gave us a decent service, but she could use more smiles.Second time – young male waiter (shaved head– I asked him whether some of the tables in the front section are about to pay since we wanted to sit there ... He answered in really mean tone that LADY you have to wait (duh, really?? I wouldn´t figure it out, bro). He was really mean. I didn´t need to be ruled what to do, I asked politely. You could have said - I will see what I can do for you later.Third time – dinner – 5 people – waiter Carlito. Well maybe it was just a language barrier, he started to offer us their sangria because its cheap. As I said it might have been just a misunderstanding but I really don´t want to be offered drinks because it´s cheap. 2 of our friends were sick, so they only ordered plain rice. 10% tip is already included in the bill so Carlito started to get pretty nervous when they ordered cheap meals and he showed us with his behaviour. At least food was nice (well fish was kinda dry). We asked for a bill – 99, something CUC. We gave 100 CUC (tip was already included and we had really mixed feelings from Carlito´s mean behavior before so we said to ourselves 100 CUC was enough). In my country, if you are not happy with the service, it is okay to leave zero tip and it is also the way you show you are unhappy. Carlito brought us the rest of the money back (few coins), we said it was okay. He started to scream WOOOOW, really, he was ironically commenting on the tip we left, showing thumbs up etc.... really mean. Dear Carlito, you are REALLY RUDE and HORRIBLE waiter. Your service was really LAME and you behaviour was unrespectable.Our last day in Havana we had maybe 30 mins to grab some meal and rush to the airport. Since Castropol was few steps from our casa we went there eventhough I really didn´t like the service from previous times. I knew there will be no food at the airport. They have pretty good pizza in Castropol (I am not a pizza fan, but after 2 weeks in Cuba you really need some proper food). So we ran in the Castropol restaurant and when the waiter (the same from the second timeapproached us with menus, I have asked him directly, whether we could order straightaway because we know what we want (and hey, we had to save some time). He told me just one word - SLOW - with this really rude tone and mean face. I told him we are in hurry for the airport so he finally condescendingly took our order. He basically THREW our bill on the table at the end and he was staring at us hatefully all the time we were there.Ok I take it. We might have been living a bit too fast back in Europe. I had to swallow a lot of rudeness in Cuba in every part we visited. But Castropol restaurant is pretending being high class and one of the bests in Havana. Didn´t see many Cubans there, mostly tourists. I don´t know if owners care, but this is not the way waiters should talk/behave to the customers. I was working as the waitress for a several years and I know how difficult it could be sometimes. But I have never experienced such a rude behaviour in the restaurant.Restaurant was recommended by the owner of our casa. When we told her about our experiences, she said she has heard similar complains from more customers. She also said that Castropol used to be really cool but everything has changed after the owners started to travel abroad more ...

Good food but quite expensive for Cuba

Food was great. We ate here two time during our visit. We had small problems with service both times, once due to us only making a small order. The server seemed inconvenienced. But as stated food was great and we would go again. .

Qualitative and delicious food at the Malecón.You better get a table on the balcony with a view on the sunset of Havana.
