Broad Weir, Bristol BS1 3XB, United Kingdom, Bristol
Grassy park with a ruined church and castle, a sensory herb garden and Normandy Landings memorial.
Nice city park. Popular during lunch time with people sitting on the benches or grassy area. It looks more like a church than a castle. Cant miss it as its in the middle of the city
Nice to read the history of the castle, walk around the park and watch the hustle around the city.
Nice city centre park located in the brinks of Avon River.
Cool and relaxing park
Great spot to walk around shame you can’t access the castle but the park is well worth a visit
Lovely scenic part of Bristol, close enough to shopping to be a good place to have a break. Destroyed Church is an interestingly different focal point
Castle Park is a lovely space to have picnic, sit with some beers/hot drinks and chat to a new/old friend. Close to shops and restaurants so if you just want the perfect walk before/after you eat, great idea here!
Such a nice place to chill or walk around. There is also a nice hidden place on the top of the castle park which has fountains and I just found it!
A woman who was with her partner laughed at me this afternoon just because my bag was open and she might think Im an Aisan. Shes so rude and dont her parents teach her how to be polite?
Lovely open space in the middle of Bristol, the park is on the site of Bristol castle a small part of the moat can still be seen... demolished by Oliver Cromwell in the 1600s
Beautiful green space in the centre of Bristol. A beautiful array of flower beds, water feature and old castle.
Have always loved Castle Park but recently stopped there whilst taking part in the Bristol naked bike ride. Great atmosphere with a heavy drum beat group performing on the bandstand. Couldnt have felt more relaxed, feeling so lucky to have a place in BRISTOL where people of all Beliefs can get together and have innocent fun!
Great park in the heart of the city. Great place to walk around and I have enjoyed chilling out there. The ruins of the bombed church in the background with the herb and flower garden which St Mungo volunteers keeping in a good form it was a great joy to see. It does gets busy on sunny days.
Located in the city centre, a good place to sit, relax, and have friends and family time. The river and the old castle just adds to the charm.
Beautiful park, especially in the spring. Beware of how busy it gets during the day on weekdays.
Public City Park over looking the canal on one side, Cabot Circus and Old Market.Lots of young people.Known for gatherings at times. Can be unsafe at night
Located almost in between the temple meads and coach station offers good place for sun bath ,relaxing time . For walk, run or cycle
Great size park and has an amazing atmosphere whenever you go. Great for a little bit of footie or just to chill
Little gem in the heart if Bristol and a favorite place to be for a Sunday morning walk.
Hot spring day 20c . Day off for shopping and a relaxed lunch.
Its a very beautiful park at Bristol City center. Sometimes on weekend, there are festivals... Summer is a good point to refresh youself.Ive been there several times and enjoy it a lot!
This place has ruins of a church and offers absolutely incredible views of the city.
Spent a while sat in this park enjoying listening to the drum circle practice session and watching the world go by. A gem of a place in the city
Lovely park , full of friendly folk,s
Very scenic, the grounds are good for a walk in the park and the flower gardens at St. Stephen are very soulful
Quite spacious. Great for picnics, hangout, walking your dogs. There is a castle in the middle, hence the name. Near a river, so you could get a refreshing view of.. water. Very crowded on weekends. Also during lunch hours. People buy takeaway food and eat there.
Lovely green space with beautiful views of the river. Unfortunately it is affected by construction at the moment, but the main issue is the sheer number of drug users hanging around. Would not feel comfortable walking through on my own.
Its a great place to go with friends for some drinks or alone to enjoy a relaxing time with a book and a coffe. And it looks beautiful in any season.
Great location for your break, meet friends for picnic and stroll in the heart of the city center
Very nice place. The people look cool very hipstery. They act even cooler doing coke and loons (good combo). All in all a very nice place ☺️Edit: there was a cool banana aswell (attached picture)
Loved this park. Beautiful to chill out...love the views along the river. Nice family space.
Was in an area on the very edge of the park, but even so, its a nice scene, lots of shade and I even climbed a tree! Although I needed some help getting up there haha
Great park to get away to in the center of town. Good running spot along the river too. Nice and peaceful in the early morning.
Beautiful place. Close to local shopping quarter. Plenty of space for picnics in the summer. Surrounded by historic buildings and water. Its a lovely area for a picnic.
Lovely park for taking lunch or just a stroll, with excellent views of the river.
The place was just outside my office. Its my favorite lunch spot, I visited here in different seasons and the park is just so happening. And all that goes to another level if you get a very sunny day on any weekend. it becomes a mad house, in fun way off course. Do check the pics in different seasons.
Nice little park to have your lunch or just escape the city hustle and bustle can be abit sketchy at night so would avoid and during the busy summer camp be abit of a party park I like to come here to clear my head.
If you love Archaeological sites, this is a nice place to visit. Also it is beautiful park with a water body around. This place is very close to Cobot Circus mall. Lot of place for sitting and chatting. Beautiful wind and greenery. Remains are Church are really interesting for people who like to see such old objects. Though its closed and we cant go inside... Still from outside its very amusing site. Also a old well is maintained there with a glass cover. So you can actually stand on top of the river and observe it below.
Castle park is a good place to spend time. Near by avon river and amazing view. People spent time with family and friends. Historical place. There are names on the board to read and learn about history of the place.Spend good time.
Beautiful park especially in the beginning of spring when everything is blooming 🌸🌸🌸💓 5 stars even though Ive seen a huge rat in there 😂🙊 You can see it in a picture Ive uploaded 😭
One of my favourite parks with lovely view and lovely nature!! Love the solitary bee boxes and bird houses as well :I just wish that we have a bigger area so that we can have even bigger park since it is quite small.
Good place. Brought alive by bristol light festival. The pink enchantment.
Lovely little park. I walk my dog here often. It isnt quite large enough where I would consider off-leashing her, as its close to some main roads. The park is quite clean, there is a small garden and the old church is currently under construction.Theres a lovely food-stall with vegetarian and vegan options as well. You can also catch the ferry from the park.
I used to work very close to the park and I would, often, come and have my lunch in the park! It was amazing having lunch there especially in the summer (not that anyone would want to sit and eat their lunch outside in the winter). Also I suppose it’s a good place to sit on the grass and read a book ect .
Lush green park in the City Center. Everything’s nice except for some rubbish dumped on one side - close to the church and the bank office.
A very nice park in the city centre to chill out in the sun on an afternoon or early evening. Usually quite busy with good people watching. Bristol castle used to stand here which if youre into history is quite interesting, but read up on it beforehand, there are no guides here, just an info plaque here and there. In the middle(ishstands an old church, bombed during the war and never renovated, looks nice with nature taking it back over. More green than as shown in my pictures
Good place to visit. Nearby you have a river and a nice view !!
Unfortunately burned old catolique church, but the park around and the surroundings are great place for a walk.
One of the best parks in Bristol. Regular events here including live music and festivals. Big green open spaces, public edible garden, church ruins, public bathrooms and gazebo. Entrances at all sides with a bridge across the river.
The flower and River Avon view are really nice and relaxing. I am not sure what kind of flower it is (sakura?), yet truly beautiful.
