A stunningly beautiful estate, understated elegance with seamless staff and beautiful rooms.
Went for afternoon tea ( with a sneaky prosecco!, beautiful location, castle & lodge set in gorgeous grounds. Lovely atmosphere and friendly, helpful service. Can recommend.
Our favourite place to have a weekend away. Staff, service and food amazing. Beautiful grounds for a walk.
The most spectacular venue! Stunning interiors snd gardens!
Amamkzing place. First class service. Beautiful venue for a recent wedding. Food was exceptional. Rooms were beautiful. Simply stunning on every level!
Wow! Castle Leslie is a DREAM! I waited over 2 years to bring a group of 12 to the Castle and it was well worth the wait! Leslie Castle, the grounds, lodge, and stable are impeccably maintained. Yet it is is the gracious and professional staff that made this experience unforgettable. We felt absolutely ROYAL in your care, Castle Leslie! We are so grateful for your hospitality and the life long memories from our incredible visit!
Absolutely stunning place, myself and my wife celebrating our 10yr wedding anniversary in this stunning venue. 10/10. Cant wait to go back again, hopefully soon☺️
I didnt stay at the castle but saw the grounds. Absolutely wonderful.
For a well established hotel I was disappointed with food. The staff were young and freindly but if food not great it spoils the experience.
Myself and my partner had an overnight stay.we ate in the restaurant.i had a treatment the next morning.everything from start to finish was just perfect. Couldnt have asked for more.thank you
Great relaxing experience, food, drinks and service. Staff really make the experience, offering great service, help and knowledge of estateThanks to Conaire, Chris, Kyle in the bar and Daniel, Maria in Snaffles.
The room and the castle grounds were very nice but the spa badly let it down with what seemed like inexperienced staff
Lovely hotel. Good food. Struggled making a good martini......
Overall Castle Leslie is a stunning location. The room is gorgeous with a really comfortable bed and decent facilities. We visited for our 1st year anniversary.Regarding service it’s very hit and miss. The receptionist on check-in and the bar staff were fine, but what you’d expect in a standard city hotel, not a “Luxury Castle”. Assigned dinner and breakfast is strange at best. We asked for an earlier breakfast slot as we had booked the spa the following day for 10am and we were met with ‘oh that’s full, but they might be able to fit you in, otherwise you can have it delivered to your room’. When we went for breakfast the following morning there was only 4 tables, of the maybe 25 tables, filled.Breakfast staff were lovely, so were the spa staff. Overall I’d describe the location as 5*, but the food and service levels as mediocre at best.Would probably work well for a wedding, but as a couples break spend your money elsewhere.
This place is beautiful, lovely grounds, fab castle & the lodge is a great place to stay. Would highly recommend it..
The staff was so welcoming from the moment we entered. Fantastic hottub then fantastic mud massage 1hour n 1/2 a beautiful cup of lemon tea.n relaxed in in relaxation room highly recommended
Amazing grounds we were at a wedding and it was a pretty big wedding the food was just unreal cooked perfectly. Staff are really lovely and easy to talk to. We where dairy free and the staff had no problem find out allergen information for us.
Another fantastic stay at The Lodge Castle Leslie Estate after having a 4 year break away due to covidThe staff are always amazing and welcoming and have to mention our waiter Daniel at Snaffles Restaurant for what I feel was exceptional service and a credit to Castle Leslie’s team and nameThank you Daniel for your evening meal service for four we all agreed you definitely needed a mention You went above and beyond to cater for us and you are what we have come to expect when we stay at the LodgeDarren & Chris from Perth Western Australia
beautiful place fantastic food and lovely staff will certainly go back again
Been her a number of times. My daughter is having her wedding here this year. Absolutely gorgeous inside and out. The scenery is amazing. Staff are very obliging. Rooms are stunning and very spacious with en suite included. Definitely worth a visit. Breakfast is delicious, with lots of variety to suit everyone 😋
A step back in time, fabulous old castle on a lake. Coarse fishing. Lovely village of Glaslough.
We attended a family wedding at the castle it was an amazing experience our room was like an apartment!! The grounds are fabulous, the food was outstanding and the staff were excellent. I would 100 percent reccomend the venue! I cannot say enough nice things about castle leslie.
Had the pleasure of visiting here for a wedding & an overnight stay , from the moment i arrived the staff were so attentive , food was delicious & breakfast was fabulous , the lake & grounds are magnificent , will visit again
Just perfect. Beautiful room excellent food. Breakfast was outstanding. Staff couldnt be more helpful. A special thanks to Henry the horse for our carriage tour of the Estate. We cant wait till our next visit.
Absolutely loved our stay in Castle Leslie.. Amazing surroundings and the best staff weve encountered
Castle Leslie is such a beautiful venue. We love bringing our gelato cart along to serve our couples and their wedding guests 😍 staff are so well organised and keep the place running so smoothly! Can’t wait to be back again serving some homemade gelato! 😁
Took our reservation money. Then told us access to the Castle was not available on the days booked, but refused to refund. i.e. Fraud. Now staying at Ashford Castle instead.
Wonderful two night stay with our friends - the rooms exceeded all our expectations - beautifully maintained and super comfy bed, had to take the opportunity to soak in the enormous freestanding bath. A couple of us had a facial in the spa and agreed it was the best we had ever had. The evening meals were delicious with plenty of choice - we also enjoyed the opportunity to wander round the castle and the beautiful grounds. We honestly had no need to leave the estate during our stay. Finally a huge thank you to all the staff who, without exception, were friendly and welcoming and made our stay extra special. A truly luxurious and wonderful stay - we cant wait to return.
Beautiful venue and fantastic service. We stayed for one night for a wedding and loved every minute of it.The staff couldn’t have been more helpful to make our stay as stress free as possible - we were travelling with twin babies so extra help was appreciated! Cliodhna was extremely helpful from the moment we arrived and it made all the difference to our stay. Would love to come back!
The Castle and 1000 acres of park land and stunning lake walks. This venue is a hidden treasure. One of the finest in Ireland
Attended a wedding there recently, and stayed in the Gatelodge for 2 nights. Absolutely wonderful. Really lovely place to stay. Vegan options in the bar were really good, even though the avocado for breakfast was too pureed for my liking. Would highly recommend this venue.
We we were at a wedding.Just great.Only the toilets are to small and located too close to the bar.
Beautiful grounds however from the start of the booking had nothing but hassle got email to say payment had been declined but money had gone from my account but this had me panicking incase the room was cancelled on us, then pacificly asked for a room with 2 beds and was told yes had a family room only to get there and was a sofa bed which was extremely uncomfortable. After we left the wedding we went to the lodge to get a drink and when we where finished we where looking at the old nic nacs around the bar and one of the staff came in as our kids run on to the lift as kids do and he implied that we had left our kids unattended I thought he was extremely rude to suggest that as we genuinely just stopped on our tracks to look.
Everything about this experience was 5 star. The staff is so gracious. The buildings & grounds are so beautiful & well maintained. We were there for a wedding, it felt like a fairytale. Thanks to Eugene who served us with care & so discreet when we all mistook our fish knife for a butter knife! He was right about our 11:30pm "snack" & was captured in a sweet pic helping the bride & her Mom with the brides train just before they walked down the aisle. A master class in serving others. Our room was lovely. Hated to leave the next day.
After a recent stay, we left wanting to go straight back to Castle Leslie! The grounds were stunning, and we spent 2-3 hours exploring them before checking into our room in one of the lodges which exceeded our expectations. We then ate in Connors bar for dinner - chilled environment, tasty food! The breakfast the next morning was the best hotel breakfast either of us ever had! All in all, a wonderful stay and we will be returning. Also, the village of Glaslough is gorgeous and well worth a little wander around. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a staycation!
This is Irelands most sought after wedding venue. If you stay here you will feel like a King or a Queen. The Castle is steeped in a rich tapestry of history. The grounds are intertwined with mature gardens and walkways along naturaly preserved bogs and wild hedge ways which promote biodiversity and preservation of thee most important insect, the Bees. The staff here are highly trained in a high level of customer service, which is second to none. When it comes to looking after, your every need. The proprietor and curator of this Anchient mounumental Castle, Sammy Leslie is very involved in the local village life of "Beautiful Glaslough" and supports the local economy through employment, and getting involved in the many markets, fetes and the upkeep of the area.Your stay here will be a memorable occasion.
Very nice room, average dinner, lovely breakfast.I have stayed in numerous 4 & 5 star places over the years. Not any better than other Irish hotels / estates I have stayed in.
Was here for a wedding, the grounds, the location, the setting, the service was all absolutely phenomenonal!! Our room wasnt in the castle but in the adjacent lodge & it was a lovely room. The food was also incredible with great variety & quality. There are 4 different walks u can do whilst u are there as well which are all picturesque. When it came time to leaving we did everything we could to stay longer.
Amazing experience. Castle is superb. Friendly and competent staff. Great food. A taste if the high life!
Wow what a fabulous hotel it was so relaxing and the grounds are just breathtaking around the castle the staff were all so nice and helpful and even left a birthday card and chocolates in my room such a nice touch . We also did a horse and cart trip around the estate with Stephen and he told us all the local sights and it was wonderful . I would highly recommend anyone stay here we loved it
I had Afternoon Tea here with 2 friends, whom I havent seen in over 2 years. The staff were very professional, yet friendly and helpful. The Afternoon Tea was delicious, with a portion of everything, from the menu, for each person. The Afternoon Tea is served in The Lodge, so didnt get to see The Castle or grounds, but it all looked lovely and I will definitely return.
Stayed here for an extended family wedding. Meal was superb, setting idyllic. We were in the lodge, which was a short distance from the castle, this was the only (slightdrawback
The castle is the perfect location for a wedding or even just to go for a walk in the beautiful gardens. Food and staff were amazing and Lionel’s room where myself and the wife got to stay the night was cozy and quaint. The attention to detail in the rooms, castle, gardens and wedding venue were amazing!
Beautiful place, lovely rooms. We had dinner in Connors bar, and it was really good. Only complaint was the instant coffee in the room.
Beautiful venue, words cant describe how stunning Castle Leslie is inside, gorgeous interiors, original features, lots of nooks & crannies for chilling. Afternoon tea in the castle is an absolute treat! Beautiful grounds & views.
Afternoon tea in the coach house. Food was lovely but not enough savory I thought.Menu says choice of teas and coffee but we werent offered any choices. Enjoyed the lovely background piano music. Still a nice treat
Had the most relaxing 2 days at Castle Leslie for my husbands birthday, our room was very spacious, every precaution that could be taken was and didnt seem intrusive, felt very safe, and the staff were as attentive and friendly as usual cant wait until our next visit .
We had afternoon Tea there: The afternoon tea was only "ok", because we were seated in a very restless room (way to the kitchen). As a result, the tea was not very relaxed, due to the permanent and fast passage of the service staff. We also lacked a cake server for serving and a warmer to keep tea warm. We also had to ask the service to turn on the music again, although they walked through the room permanently. The quality of the food was good to very good.Because of the restlessness, we wouldnt have our tea there again, even though the rest of the house has a wonderful architecture.
A luxurious experience. We stayed one night at the end of August, it’s usually booked up but we got a late cancellation. We had an evening meal, the food and ambiance was a first class experience. The breakfast was superb, table service, I wish more hotels would do this as it avoids queues for the cooked breakfast. The Castle grounds are amazing and we had a couple of nice relaxing walks. On our previous visit we stayed at the Castle which was a bit too quirky for me.We had a new room in the Stables which was large and comfortable with a nice big double bed.The hotel was spotless and the staff friendly and efficient.
We enjoyed our Afternoon Tea at The Lodge Restaurant. The staff were lovely and the background piano playing added to the atmosphere. The food was to a high standard and they catered beautifully for one of our party who was GF. Thank you. We would highly recommend this restaurant.
