Castle Fun Park - Amusement Centre in Chilliwack, Canada
Very happy that things were back up and running after the catastrophic floods that hit Abbotsford. 1st and 2nd floors of the main building were great and very much like they were before. The go carts were also fully up and running and lots of fun. No mini golf in the basement yet, but me and family like looking at all the before and after photos of the damage posted on their walls. It taught my kids the extent of damage that they faced and got us talking about all the other businesses and houses that were also affected. Outdoor mini golf, batting cages, etc also still a work in progress. Once step at a time, so were just glad we could enjoy all the existing games.Reasonably priced and plenty of games so there was never much of a wait for any games, even on a weekend where there were lots of people. Spacious enough so it didnt feel crowded. Games are well maintained. Hand sanitizer pumps located around the facility.Go-Karts worked well with about 8 to 10 karts running at a time. Sanitized helmets provided (no hair net or disposable liner provided). They have singles or doubles, for kids who need to ride with an adult (accompanying driver needs to be 16+because they dont meet the requirements (10 yr, 54 inches).
The nostalgia here is so good. I love coming here since I was a child! Thank you for the opportunity to continue making happy memories here. Castle Fun Park has a game for everyone! It is a one-of-a-kind place. Family friendly. The staff here are warm and welcoming. A classic place in Abbotsford to visit. The only game I do not recommend in the arcade are the bowling alleys - the pins are constantly getting tangled and are glitchy... Even after the staff was accommodating and helpful the bowling still did not work nor did it let us finish the game we had started (they did give me a refund on it). Some games are out of order; which is disappointing. However, on the bright side some of the new games are excellent and the older functioning games such as buck hunter and basketball are super fun. ☺️👍
Took the kids teen and pre-teens there last weekend we had a blast. GO karts are expensive for the amount of time but still fun. Glad to see them being able to reopen after the floods of 2021.
I understand that they are recovering from a flood, but didnt they have insurance? It is so run down with so many games out of order and the working ones are mostly a rip off. Prices are insane for food. $12 for "5 minutes" (I got 4:20of go carts seems a bit excessive too. The employees were a bright spot, at least. Doubt Ill return.
Beautiful views and tons of fun!I drove to Alberta from Squamish,BCIt was around 13 hours to ride through the Rocky Mountains in 2016Everyone needs to do it at least once in their life and you’ll not regret it!!! AMAZING VIEWS :D
Definitely many great fun games for kids, in particular the go-kart which is not easliy found in yvr. The arcade games are very affortable and we enjoy watching the kids playing the laser maze, we all had a blast! Looking forward to the reopening of the mini-golf game.
Good selection of games, mini golf is coming back not sure when the go carts are up and running, will be even better when the mini golf is back but still a great time to play games for everybody from young to old!
The new Castle fun park after last years flood. Some things are still under construction but overall still a very good experience for kids. Will definitely return for the Go Kart and hoping for the return of the mini golf.
Fantastic time. Plenty of new arcade features Ive never seen anywhere in the lower mainland. Favourites include the axe throwing game, the absolutely ridiculous giant hungry hungry hippos, and of course Daytona USA!Yes it can be expensive if you burn through credits playing token/prize games, but there are plenty of slightly older games (not even extremely old classicsthat will keep you entertained for hours without breaking the bank!As of Sept 11, we didnt notice that many dead games on the floor... maybe they fixed it? Arcade machines take a LOT of abuse, a little bit of understanding a sympathy goes a long way :)Very very thankful they survived the flood and reopened!
Open open open! Except Mini golf in 8 months and batting cages in one year! Please come in today or tonight!, and support untill the renovation for each is complete.Great layout with new games for all ages makes this the destination for miles around, people come from Vancouver to Lytton to enjoy Castle Fun Park.Gocarts are another main attraction here for a great race out on the track. Some snacks like popcorn, nachos and cheese, slushies, and drinks.Thank you
Fun place for the kids. Start with the low price 1st as the amount is non refundable but the card doesnt expire. So if you live around, then its not an issue but if you come for a visit then start with less load first and then refill as and when required. Games start from as low as 0.40 cents I guess and goes up till $2-4 per game. Hope this helps.
My son and I had a blast. There is something for everyone to do. Young to old. My son especially loved the go carts!
Our kids loved coming here. We came at opening and were the first in the go karts; we ended up having the track to ourself. Staff is constantly going around making sure things are in order, misplaced items are taken to lost and found, etc. The washrooms were impressively clean. A large selection of arcade games as well.
There’s a wide variety of games. But they closed half the place! It’s only the arcade and go karts. The mini golf was all closed and the back section was also. If you want to go to a place that’s just an arcade then this place is good. If you been here before then be prepared for a smaller place.
It’s very fun and a great place to come with if you have kids, I went there to celebrate a birthday and although we went 45 mins before closing we still had plenty of fun. One thing I wish was better is cleanliness, it was quite dirty upstairs. I’ll definitely come back
Fun way to spend an afternoon. Wish there was more food options than nachos, popcorn and cotton candy since no outside food or drink allowed. Easier to spend longer if we are able to feed our family.
Took my children, 13 and 14 to ride the go carts. Ended up spending a large part of the afternoon there and had an amazing time. Will definitely go again!
Happy to see they are back up and running after the flood. Excited to see what takes shape with mini golf next summer. They still have a decent amount of arcade games both lower and top levels however....alot of the games were not working. And some were even breaking while we were there which was pretty disappointing. They really need to invest in a couple people who are going around checking for issues like this as for the 2+hrs we were there, no one fixed any of the broken games we saw even though they were reported. This included pinball, axe throwing, luigis mansion and various other arcade games. This place has potential to get back to where it was preflood, but there is still some work to do IMO.Thanks
Always a great time. Old school classics plus new favorites in the arcade. Go karts are always fun even if not at top end speed😉 its going to be awesome once the mini golfs are re opened. Dont wait, go help a long standing local business keep the dream going.
Kids had a blast, eventhough the mini golf is closed, as they are working hard to restore it, after last years flood, you can still play games, do bowling and drive go- karts. Awesome place to hang around, to beat the Summer heat!
Kids loved it. Good variety of arcade games. As an old school gamer I appreciate the classics like Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Street Fighter III: Third Strike. Also like the arcade economy with older games only costing 25c. A lot of other arcades charge at least $1.
Was amazing fun to kart there and they have so many fun games recommend to visit
It is best place for kids. Good options for kids. Some fun activities for parents as well. Go cart is fun and there are options of parent sitting with kids (two riders). Overall it is a good place to take kids for half a day fun.
I was ecstatic they reopened in time for my three year old’s birthday! My kids love the go karts and arcade games. Even little ones can have a blast riding in the side car of the kart. The indoor area has been updated nicely since the flooding. The floors and bathrooms are very clean. The mini golf wasn’t open yet, but there was plenty for us to do. Go check them out!
My first time here after the flood. The extended indoor area is still closed. They have renovated the go cart section. It is fun as always.
What a let down. Games are definitely cheaper per game when compared to arcades at the rec room and cineplexes.Lots of the machine where out of order limiting our choice of game. The price redemption counter is manned by a single attendant. We ended up waiting in line for over 20 mins.
We love coming to Castle Fun Park and we are so happy that they were able to reopen after it took quite a bit of damage from the flood. Some areas are currently still under construction (which is quite understandable), particularly the activities on the other side of the park including bumper cars, batting cages, hockey, soccer, and mini golf. The Wonder Farm Kids section (arcade on the first level, by the front entrancewas quite thrilling for my little one. We still had our Castle Fun Park card from years ago and were surprised that it still worked and that we could continue using the credit we had on it. Loading process is more or less, the same as before where you prepay the amount and load it onto your card. We cant wait to be back when hopefully more activities open up again.
I took the kids here and it was a lit of fun. We spent $15o for 4 of us and it stretched about 2 hours worth of games plus ...We rented 2 go Carts for a spin around the track. Super fun, very good safety procedures.3 times with 2 kids through the laser Maze. They have a GREAT amount of arcade games. We didnt do the batters cage this time and the mini golf was closed.Cheerful fun for the family or adults. Cute spot for a date.
I had a high expectations on this place and thought the arcade games are cheaper but it’s very disappointing. We spent only 1 hour in the arcade room and it costs us $60 with the 2 kids. Most of the games cost 65 cents and some of them cost more than $2 per game and each game only last for 1 minute or so.The candies we got from the candy machine tastes really bad so don’t do that unless you like cinnamon flavor candy. Sorry but we will not come back.
I gave 3 stars because the day we went a lot of games were out of order or not working.I understand that its likely a few games will not be working but I counted 8 or 9. We traveled all the way from Maple Ridge to go the park. Having said that, when the bowling balls got stuck at the far end of the track and I went to customer service, the lady at the desk put the money I lost back on my park card. Great customer service but no happy about the amount of games we couldnt play.
This venue is really big and spacious though I feel that the games were a little outdated. The whole vibe just seems outdated. The go kart is really fun and child friendly as you can drive them around. A great place to bond with your kids.
The park Im visiting is called Castle Fun Park, but it used to be known as Wonderland Fun Park.As of today, July 17, 2022, despite what the website claims, none of the mini golf courses or batting cages are open at Castle Fun Park. Go-carts, lazer maze, bowling and arcade games are the only things available. However, I asked a young woman (blondewearing a red blazer (who was roving the Castle Fun Parkwhether the miniature golf courses downstairs were open. Since the flood in November 2021, they have been undergoing renovations—it would have been nice if they updated their website because this is important because many people likely came for it as well! Another group was told this earlier, and left.In addition to the kitchen concession being closed, the front desk staff was only able to make popcorn due to unforeseen circumstances. Some of the kiosks to get a loaded card werent working either (was this by any chance connected to Rogers network?!). And many games didnt work but it happily ate your credits! Sigh! Thats the cons. The pros? It was a bit nostalgia coming back after 30 years. I came back with my kids, who was a bit disappointed in not doing the mini-golf, but they loved the games (okay, $60 bucks for little stuff animals (300 points)....4000 to 8000 points for the big stuff animals!----but the kids had fun!). Not only that, seeing on the news that this was once under water, it was hard to believe it re-opened so quickly! It was great seeing lots of people having a good time. I am all for the community supporting a long-standing business that has been in business for over 33 years who has likely given back to the community in many ways than one too.Would I come back? If the mini-golf courses are open. Sure. Maybe not for the games, but, my kids would say otherwise!
Happy this landmark has re-opened following the flood. Friendly environment, great staff. Had a great time.
Me and my friends had a fun time! However quite a few of the arcade game werent working or were out of service. However it looked amazing, especially after being closed due to flooding. Would definitely go back! They had a good mix of old and new games, including an axe throwing game that was really fun!
So glad that Castle Fun Park is open again! We had such a blast on Canada Day, racing Go Karts, Axe throwing, Bowling, Laser Maze, and playing the new life size Hungry Hungry Hippo game as a family. Theres such a large variety of arcade games, air hockey, pool tables and more - something for everyone. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The popcorn was extra buttery just as I like it. And the kids loved being able to earn tickets for all the prizes at the end of the day.We cant wait until mini-golf reopens! Im sure its going to be awesome too.
This was an awesome experience - typical arcade zone, but amplified with batting cages, remote control boats, bumper cars, go karts, mini golf, treats, prizes, laser maze and more! I look forward to experiencing more of what they have to offer.
First time going to the Castle fun park was very cool and fun place, really enjoyed the Batting cages. I would say I think the batting cage ball releaser needs to be tuned up a bit. The one cage Id swipe my card and the orange light would keep flashing and never released ball and it was 5 bucks a game other than that it was fun.
Huge place with two floors. Many games. Loved the mini golf and go carts! Fair pricing. The scenery setting for mini golf is very pleasing. The only down side is this place is too far from where I live 😅
Its a nice place to spend a few hours if you have young kids. My kids had great fun playing a huge selection of games and going on spins on the gokarts. The price for each game is very reasonable, parking is free and it is located just off Trans-Canada Hyw 1 in Abbotsford.
Stopped here on a whim on our way to Kelowna. What a fun place (even for adults). You can’t beat $10 for a round of mini golf and the go karts were super fun. Thanks for a great time!Be sure to get a popcorn bucket while you’re there, you won’t be disappointed.
Great place for mini golf and go carts! The kids have so much fun! Can get pricey so if you there for mini golf there is a group rate! Make sure you ask someone about it there. 10 games for $84.
Had a good time. There are a few different minigolfs, go karts, batting cage and lots of ok arcade games. Has pool table, air hockey and foosball.
Fun and family friendly place to hang out! Close to highway and lots of places to eat. There is ice cream and hot snacks in house too. The outdoor mini golf is very fun and beautifully manicured gardens. Overall the place is very clean and well maintained. There are also two indoor mini golfs, go-karting, bumper cars and lots of different games for all ages.
A wonderfully fun way to enjoy air conditioning and escape the heat. The arcade games are very loud here! It was very stimulating and a lot to take in for all of us. We enjoyed the go karts and the mini golf to get away from the noise a bit.
Castle Fun Park is a relatively fun place to go. We typically stop here on our way home from long road trips or on rainy days, when fun activities are limited. They have two mini golf courses, go karts, an arcade, and an interactive sports section. It’s a little run down and it does show it’s age, but all-in-all, this is a fun place to take the family and a fun way to spend a few hours.
This is a great place for all ages. There is things to do for all ages which is great. Go karts video games mini golf batting cages. There is also food which is great. Not super cheap but in line with most places like this.
This joint is pretty rad to be fair and does offer a huge range of activities when its wet and miserable out!Played a round of the Jungle pitch and putt which was pretty cool with some gnarly holes as well as some of the arcades.I feel their COVID approach to forcing sanitization and limiting numbers of people could be better approached and there seems to be hardly any staff out on the floor which ends up with a bit of a free for all approach.I am looking forward to going back and giving the batting cages a go when its not too crazy busy as its pretty hectic on a wet and windy Sunday.
Castle Fun Park is a wonderland both to children who play games indoors and to adults who enjoy scenic views outdoors. Today, I spent an enjoyable afternoon there taking pictures and marvelling at the castle buildings, the mini purple Disney-like castle in particular.
Loads of fun! I went during a weekday so there werent too many people there, which was great! They had a fair amount of room between games and lots of sanitation stations. It looses one point because I wish there was more information on how they sanitize the arcade games. I didnt see a cleaning schedule and there wasnt any sanitation between games. I felt like I had to clean my hands after every game. The mini golf was really good though because it is well spaced out and you are able to socially distanceIve loved this place since I was a child and its still worth it for the nostalgia alone
Wow! Lots to do. Old games and new, food, mini golf and way more. Be prepared to spend $50.00 per kid if you want them busy for a couple of hours. There is a quiet area in behind the noise where parents can sip coffee and relax .Alternatively there are some cool things to do if you want to stay with the kids. The batting cages and go carts, and mini golf are fun for all to do together.
