Casino Café de Paris in Monaco

Staff are unable to effectively manage queues and reservations.

Food & service were average. But the place and view are beautiful.

They say they accept ID cards to access to casino. But when you arrive to security check the ID card recognized by the EU and the European Council doesn’t works luL

A massive thank you to the security and staff who came to my assistance last week when I took ill. Your kindness was very much appreciated and wont be forgotten.

High quality and high pricing but nice to see.

Okay service but seemed to be some bribing going on to get tables nearest the square. I seen an American slip the guy at the entrance a banknote on the sly. Didn’t give me the best feeling of professionalism. €10 for a glass of wine. Good view of course.

The ice coffee was 10 euro and tasteless. The waiting time for serving a bit high.

The food and the view on the terrace was great but i think it is a little bit over priced. We ordered a salad 2 main dishes and 2 deserts and three glasses of wine and the total amount that we ended up paying €210

For me this was the best plan ever in Monaco, there is plenty of people taking picture of the cars right next to the Casino, in this place you can be in the Kaos (crowdbut outside the Kaos (crowd), seeing all the cars pass by and you can get an amazing craft beer and a selections of small delicious cakes for aprox 13 euros each, sit down here like 3 hours and it was 100% worth it!

Service was unusually good this time around and Ive been coming here since 1983. Coffee was ok and the price is as expected given that its Monaco.

Once again the government of Monaco put profit over people. Destroying a popular, historic Monegasque café and putting a casino in its place. Shame.

I really appreciate the fact that you want to know what it went wrong in our visit. The issue that we experienced was the on going construction what prevented us from having the experience and the views that we were expecting. Im sure that everything will be OK in the future.

Incredible food and service! Christine was amazing!

This was my first time in Monaco so I had to try the famous Cafe de Paris. Unlike the Cafe de Paris restaurant at the Hotel de Paris where I had an amazing experience, this experience at this cafe de Paris was very very very bad I’m beyond disappointed. The security was rude although I was there at 10:00 am and the cafe was almost empty, he wouldn’t let me in when he discovered that I couldn’t speak french. After waiting for 30 minutes, I went in and had to wait for the waiter for 20 minutes to take my order, and again the cafe was almost empty. I ordered an Americano but the waiter got me hot chocolate which I pointed out to him and I was nice enough and told him keep the hot chocolate. Then I had to ask for my bill 8 times! The waiters were ignoring me and serving guests who came after me or let guests pay their bill although I asked for mine half an hour before them. They were prioritizing guests based on nationality. I was very disappointed there. Next time I visit Monaco, I will not go there again! Staff needs to learn how to smile, how to be polite and friendly with their customers. I only gave it one star because the croissant and the hot chocolate tasted good.

If you are in Monaco you have to go there, the food is wonderful and the gambling is is fun, the hole building is out of this world, the doormen are so polite, an experience not to be missed ⭐️

Went for a coffee with some viennoiseries which were good. We sat outside to enjoy the view and the weather, which is much more enjoyable now that the cars don’t pass right in front of you anymore.The downside was the service, a bit more friendliness and smiles wouldn’t hurt for a place (and priceslike this!

Nice casino with machines as well as live tables. Only complaint is that the minimums at the live tables are too high. I understand its Monaco, but the tables sit empty most nights, why not lower the minimums and actually have people playing?

Always come here for desert and people watch. You never know who may see!!

Visiting Monaco for the day, had an afternoon coffee €6 here, as the outside seating area has an up close view of the casino building. Great location to watch the world go by. From the rail station it’s a 10 minute walk down the hill. Inside is an a la carte restaurant.

An hotel coffee automat makes better cappucchino than this 6€ version.

If you havent been here it is a must-have place to visit, but my experience with this place has quite mixed feelings.We (6 of usas tourists were there for a quick visit in the early afternoon to drink some coffee and eat crêpes suzette.The covid checking was surprisingly fast and the lady who was in charge of it was really helpful and kind.On the other hand, the waiter wasnt that kindful. He did his job properly but didnt make the impression that we are welcomed as much as the local people.We took our place outside which was pleasing due to the sun and the outer part of this place was pretty fine. Nothing extra special but definitely pleasurable.The crêpes suzette was pretty good, but a bit pricy for its size but due to the fact that this place is located in one of the most famous areas in the city, we were expecting something like this.On the other hand, the latte macchiato that I have ordered was a bit disappointing.I was expecting some delicious coffee with some kind (or basiclatte art, but they served it in plain glass with a plastic straw.The straw bothered me not just because it was made of plastic (which is not quite a thoughtful and responsible decisionbut due to the fact that the coffee was pretty hot and the plastic is not that kind of material which can be stored in such an environment, the straw was "melted" (deformedafter a couple of minutes.I drink coffee daily. Usually, I make them for myself, only a few times I go to some coffee bars to drink some more proper, but this coffee here was not just as usual as the one that I do for myself in my dizzy mornings but maybe a bit worse. Or wasnt worse, but I was expecting much more of a taste experience. Also, based on my experience, we can get simple latte art in most of the places that are much-much less famous. Knowing that having a proper and nicely prepared coffee is not a big expectation made me a bit disappointed.In the end, before our leave, we went to the toilet. On our way there we were able to check the inner part of the place which was more than astonishing. It was simply amazing. The decorations, the feeling, and a lot of light (where a decent amount come from natural sourcesmade the inner section way more quality than the outer section even if that one is also very nice.Sadly the toilet also gave us some bitter pills. The overall quality was amazing because everything was made of nice and shiny stuff and everything was undeniably clean which is perfect for a place like this.On the other hand, the faucet was really complicated to use because the sensitivity of the motion sensor that triggers the faucet to give water was really low, which made the handwashing a real struggle. Not to mention that only one of the three existing faucets was working but there was no warning sign or anything to make us not try on the wrong place.My overall experience regarding this place was a simple OK and I think I am not a picky person, but if one is having much higher expectations for such a place like this is understandable.I dont tell that I wont come back, not just because making decisions on one experience is a foolish thing but they have a lot more to discover but sadly my first encounter with this place was not as good as one would expect.

Please check with waiter outside. As I was double charged €64. Waiter told me he was going to cancel it. It’s more then two hours now and I still have not received the refund.

I have eaten along the years in this establishment. Quality remains high.But:In the new normalityCafe de Paris makes you enter only through one lane ( and God forbid, not the other, which is next to that), but once inside on the terrace will seat clients glued to you and to other clients, as if there is no more social distancing concept, as if the reason you show your health status to a waiter at the entrance dissapeared.That is the definition of hipocrisy.Also, when answering to these cooments and reviews, there are all the signs they are hipocrits, because I see no sign of correcting and no intention to strive and change things for the better.This is just a corporate strategy to pretend to care about people, nothing more.

Clean casino, has every game inside, no fees to join itNot a 5 stars just because the games are always full and there are not many tables(games as poker or blackjack)

Sat for about 25 minutes waiting to take our order, tried calling waiters who repeatedly ignored us or said “j’arrive” before disappearing again. Eventually we left, disappointed, and still hungry/ thirsty. We ended up going to another cute cafe where we were immediately taken care of and left a very generous tip. Too bad.

The casino have a fascinating architectural design with powerful surroundings of shops, cars, gamblers and tourist.Don’t be scared to enter the main casino to enjoy a small gamble or drink, it is out of this world once you come inside. Just make sure you follow the restrictions before you get there.Food at the café was OK. Bit I think the service could be a bit quicker.

A generous three star rating due to the nice location overlooking the square, the other star for the brilliant weather and the third for the ice cold water for the dogs. Service and Food quality that very day, left room for improvement. Quite a sizable one. It could be due to the pandemic, the whole town was almost deserted during our stay - for a nuanced pov...

You must have at least once a coffee there when in Monaco. I would suggest you to sit outside in order to feed your eyes with all these ridiculously expensive cars right in front of the casino. Sometimes you wont even believe what you see. Coffee is just ok and staff friendly.

A wonderful place for an afternoon tea while enjoying super cars parade

Go there well dressed and as an adult youre in for quite some fun - and hopefully a gain... Or notThis casino is enjoyable as any others, with luxurious decorations and quite a lot of machines and tables.Tho it is a casino, and so you shall go there expecting to lose all the money you put in, and go away if you win some !

Fun, Bacon Burger was delicious! Forgot to take pictures. Fries were also amazing. Good place for late night munch and drink.

Good Casino for starters. The staff is very friendly and the games are accessible for people who never been to a casino before, the entrance is also free so thats also very nice.

Really expensive but the food is really yummy. The staff are friendly and very well informed. Even the bathrooms are gorgeous. Ordered the chicken, the beef, octopus salad, a steak, and the salmon. Dessert here is well worth the price, with big portions that are very tasty. Need to make reservations ahead of time.

Amazing, stunning inside. We thought we had to be smart causal but it didnt look like there was a clothe requirement for getting in.

Food and drinks are VERY pricey. Was only there for the view of the casino and the posh ambience.

Ate at the Brasserie on the strength of the Michelin Plate review. Frankly, we were really disappointed with the food. Out of 5 the ambience was a 5 and the service a 4, but the food was a 2 at best. French onion soup was flavorless, the salads were fresh but tasteless. The mains were no better - Dorado with gnocchi was especially disappointing. If you go, stick with the cafe outside, enjoy the amazing cars, and have the drinks and ice cream, and avoid the food!

A great place to sit and watch all the amazing cars drive by. The food and drinks are nice and there are usually a lot of people which creates a good atmosphere

Good for people who want to spend less than €50 and have a couple of hours to spare. Simple slots machines and even poker machines around. Cannot compare to Monte Carlo in terms of deco but for gamblers I think a more friendly and less intimidating experience
