Scenic park featuring a picnic area & fountain, plus trails through a variety of pine trees.
Nice park, could use a bit of maintenance.
I originally gave this place 5 stars because it is attractive and has some pleasant paths to walk. We were there last week, however, and the experience was not as enjoyable. Theres a serious homeless problem in Bangor, and its nearly impossible to go anywhere without realizing it. On Thursday while there, a homeless man was sleeping on the picnic table. After walking up the hill I sat on a stump to enjoy the waterfall and sat in vomit. Shifting the homeless population from one area to another in the city is not solving the problem. The local government needs to start working on real answers. Stop trying to advertise the place as a tourist destination when its in this shape. Youre just embarrassing the whole state.
Clean, easy access, local and spacious. Well maintained is a key factor.
Its a good place to enjoy a lunch break and beautiful sunny days!
Nice park small hiking trail perfect to stretch your legs or small walk for your pet. Porta potty were dirty. Some people left dog waste in bags on the trail. Besides that it was a nice park. No play grounds. Has a fountain and a small flowing water fall. Local spot for a lunch break.
Had late night dinner with hubby in the park, beautiful water show with lights. Was quite and very busy. Loved it
Beautiful spot close to town. We did a 5 generation photo shoot here. Recommend if you need a place to meet.
Beautiful place for a walk or a stop to have lunch. So fun and relaxing. Especially great on a hot day. We had a great time exploring this little gem!
super pretty, it’s definitely something to just sit and relax in, hit this place after seeing the cemetery.
Beautiful park.Clean. Well taken care of.Serene.Perfect for photos or picnics!10/10 recommend
Pretty good park to visit. The only bad thing is that the only trash cans in the entire park are near the parking lot. There is a picnic area near the water department building with no garbage cans at all.
Nice place to hang out for a bit.. we bring the dog and let him run around the trails there.
Pretty, fun, and a great place for picnics.
I had to kill several hours while my car was being worked on. It was a lovely, clean park to rest in and simply people watch and relax.
There is a place on Hammond street called the corner store restore I go there every morning for breakfast its just a store with A cook at the grill and I gotta say the corner store is the best place to eat instead of McDonalds or Wendys the food is a 100% better. The only downfall with the corner store is there is no cook on Sunday and and on Saturdays its by 2 and get one free and get 1 free every Saturday.
It is a great place to be but there was quite a bit of trash.
Really nice place for the kids and pets, however use plenty of repellent if you go into the tall grass walk area.
Really beautiful place to relax have a picnic or nap
This is one of my favorite places in Bangor to bring my dog! There is a fountain, waterfall, benches around the walking trails to sit down on and a porta-potty which a lot of places don’t have. It is a wonderful spot to let your kids run around and play, have a picnic, read a book, take your dog for a walk or even a quick swim! I look forward to the town turning the water on here every year, and would highly recommend checking this place out if you have never been there.
I work for Hannaford and do spring clean up here. A really beautiful spot to relax and the fountain still runs both day and evenings. Gazebo for weddings just a cute little park. Built for families.
Clean beautiful atmosphere. Beautiful trails
The park is gorgeous. Plenty of park benches to sit on a few picnic tables and a walking trail. It has a gazebo to look at however no seating. The huge disappointment is the water fountains are not running.I just posted a few pics.
A beautiful park and place to eat or sit for a rest. We missed having the water fountain going. It really looks amazing at night with the colored lights.
Beautiful little park with nice waterfall in the summer.
Beautiful place to go walk in the summer time with the lights and water fountain.. love going here with my husband for walks and with the kids to explore .. another plus is its pet friendly!! When we get our puppy at the end of April we will be taking him here for walks!!
Pretty place to go all year-round. Nice place to be with family, friends or loved 1s just walking around and enjoy the day. Water fountain is always nice in the warmer weather. The water is still greatly appreciated in the colder weather. Beautiful surroundings to see.
This park holds special memories for us, our son and his wife were married at Cascade Park. It has a beautiful fountain and a gazebo. But for every day use, there are picnic tables and it is a great place to walk the dog.
My new favourite spot to take my pups and have a picnic.
A small but very nice park with a water fountain feature and a couple of Man constructed cascading waterfalls. There are a couple of paths to walk up the hill and a reasonably sized grassy area for what loomed to be a wedding reception while we were there. We walked up the path to find a very large haying field which we also walked our dog around.
Went for an outdoor dinner with my niece. It was about 8:00 or so and it would have been nicer if the lights were on the fountain. None the less it was fun doing something that I used to do as a kid
Chrys & I had a lovely picnic
This park is a beautiful green area with trails and a couple of cascades, is surrounded by trees and benches for those who cant hike. The cascades are in the entrance of the park and this park have free parking.
Beautiful and more than meets the eye. Looks small and quaint when you are looking from the parking lot but the trails go deeper and look more interesting once you get higher.
Beautiful little park right by the hospital. Has a couple nice seating areas near the fountains. Also has some trails for people who want to walk around into the wooded trails. There arent toys for kids, but theres plenty of nature to explore.
Beautiful, great for weddings ,picnics, and just to relax
Beautiful park, love the waterfall into the fountain. Made for a lovely wedding for a family member.
Beautiful place. The kids enjoyed the water.
This is a beautiful park. During the warmer months the fountain is running and sometimes offers a slight must that is pleasant during hot weather. Highly recommend for a nice picnic, walking, biking, or just hanging out.
I got married here. Its a beautiful place especially when the fountain is working. Good hike. Picnics . just attended a wedding there last week. No swings for the kids but they like playing in the water on a hit summers day. The gazebo could use some new paint. Its a lovely park.
Very lovely place. Watch carefully or you can miss entrance. Nice water fountain. My wife and I got a surprise when the water on fountain rotated and wet us as we were about to take pictures. Nice simple water fall behind the fountain with simple trail that seems to circle around. Nice area to relax/think/read/talk and walk around. Nice visit to stop and check out.
Very relaxing park with a short trail and benches. Well maintained and the fountain and waterfalls are quite relaxing.
I loved this place as a kid and I still do. The reason its not 5 stars is mostly the fact either the city needs to give it some TLC or a garden club does. The paths and features are pretty well maintained, but a lot of the plants need some attention from good gardeners to really get back to the perfectly trimmed and well-kept state I remember from the late 90s.
Beautiful and peaceful park with a great walking trail. Gets a bit steep, so slow and steady with take you through it if you have any physical challenges. The walking trail is not terribly long ( less than 1 mi. but it takes you through the wooded area. Very nice!
Being a Maine native, I have been to Cascade Park many times. The disrepair the park was in during todays visit was a shock. There was litter throughout the park, there were piles of pine needles in the trails, the gazebo was rotting & the water features were overgrown in spots.
Beautiful spot. Only downside is lack of bathrooms.
This park is very beautiful and relaxing, It has several different waterfalls to look at. I beautiful forest behind the waterfalls to discover, walk your dog, spend time taking photographs and enjoying nature. Stop by Cascade!!
Beautiful place. We had my daughters senior pictures done there. So much in a relatively small space.
Gorgeous, the ground keeping is immaculate! All around fun for the whole family
On our trips to Northern Maine we try to find parks to stop at and let the kids run around. This has been added to our list of favorites! Its small but has plenty of shade, picnic tables and the fountain and falls are so pretty!
Great place for a nice walk. Small but beautiful. Has bathrooms.
