Casas Grandes - Archaeological site in Nuevo Casas Grandes, Mexico
It was a nice place to visit
A town with potential.
Good place to be.
Historic place and museum.
great archeological findings
Amazing archeological site. Fair price and great places to eat near. The museum wasnt open but that didnt matter much.
Ancient architecture and culture
Nice place to visit
Not visiting the archeological site Paquimé while in town would mean missing the point of going there completely, the place is astonishingly well preserved, gives lots of information about an ancient North American culture that is not one of the most thoroughly popularized. The town (village?itself is nice enough, with a few good restaurants to enjoy real North Mexican food, a calm and slow-paced atmosphere. Access roads from Ciudad Juarez are in optimal shape
Very cool Indian history! It was free to walk around.
Good place
There is no information anywhere that the museum is closed due to renovations, so whoever is planning a trip to Paquime you will be able to walk the trail or the ruins which takes less than 30 minutes, but the museum is closed, also make sure that you dont need restrooms because they dont have any available.
If you havent experienced it YOU MISSING OUT. está chingon!!!! Cultura 🧘
One of the most important historical sites in North America.
Very unique place to see
Very friendly atmosphere
CLOSED on Mondays. And maybe other days, it dspends.
Excelente installation
History the museum lot to learn from ours ancestors friendly people
Cool
I used to play there when part belonged to my greatgrandma
Great weekend
It is the most amazing archaeological site. The large area of adobe homes and multi-storied apartment buildings that the Paquime built make this site quite unique. They even had an efficient water system which brought hot water to their building complex from the hot springs to the north. A museum is located on the site, also worth visiting.
The most important archeological site in northern Mexico. The museum does a good job of putting the site in the context of other Pueblo civilizations in the region as well as its relationship with civilizations further south. The artifacts on display give valuable insight into daily life at Paquimé.I always enjoy the walking tours through the ruins, which is enhanced by bi-lingual explanatory signs throughout the site.If you are in the region, you should definitely plan on spending time at Paquimé. A quick visit can be accomplished in about 45 minutes, but a more complete visit will take about 2 hours.
Dropt my bread in water, now its all soggy.
Ancient
Its marvellous how much culture its in one place. The price for the museum its high but make discounts for students and older people. People with disabilities have free entrance. You have the choice on visit the archeological area rather with a guide or by your own. For the local people on holiday season there are various activities for the children and visitors could have the choice on see live shows or gallery exhibitions.Nice going with the family!
Amazing ruins very nice and very friendly customer service
It has cool Indian houses and lots of history
Cool place to take the kids. Lots of information on prehispanic cultures.
The best and biggest archaeological site in northern Mexico. If in the area you really want to visit.
Must visit museum!
Awesome place
A good place to go while in casas grandes.
Very cool ancient ruins just on the edge of town. Modern visitors center but they didnt speak English the day we were there and the senior discount is for Mexican citizens only
It was very interesting. Well maintain. Museum was very nicely layed out. Restrooms fully stocked and clean. Entrance is free on Sundays. Outside of the ruins you can drive by the center. The town is small, but has a plaza and church.
