Casa Verdi - House of Travelers in Bronte

The best hostel Ive ever been. Awesome people, clean rooms and toilets, big kitchen and balcony available. In the evening I was invited to eat dinner all together at one table. After that we were playing poker. Kind and responsible staff 🙂

Staff Maria was very lovely and welcoming. Stayed 12 till 14.Homely hostel, no bunk beds. All single beds and lots of room.Free use of shampoo etc was a nice touch. Fully booked so had to leave. I wanted to stay longer. 👌

An absolutely brilliant place. Great rooms, air cooled, brilliant communal area and the volunteers are some of the nicest people I’ve met. Felt like a friends house. Highlight of the trip really

This place is much more than a hostel or just another place to stay.It is rather a communal space where you come to hang out, exchange ideas, and help each other.Here a little extract:"Casa Verdi is also a co-living and co-working space; needs and actors are mixed so as to facilitate the creation and circulation of value.We consider tourism as a trigger for positive transformation to happen in society in a long term/sustainable manner."If you resonate with this mission, you will have a beautiful enriching stay in a perfect location and in a beauteous authentic old Sicilian flat with 5m high ceilings.If youre just looking for an accomodation Im not sure if this is the right place.We want to thank the volunteers of the space who were extremely helpful and making us feel like being home among friends!!!PS: I saw the reviews within Hostelworld were much more representative of this space then the Google reviews.

Being at Casa Verdi for a while was an absolutely beautiful experience. Everyone was super kind and helpful from the getgo and the place is very nice, cozy and clean. It is a great place to connect with people, share thoughts and dinners and have a sense of community. Thanks for the great time, love you guys.

I’ve had a chance to spend there a week. This hostel doesn’t feel like a hostel at all, I’d rather call it second home! I totally recommend!

Perfect location and hospitality, but the room floors are so unbelievably dirty that I had to take off two stars for it. I have attached a picture of one of the floor tiles, the whole floor in room 4 looked like this. It was very perplexing because every part of the washrooms were clean and spotless enough to eat off of. I wore socks in my room to avoid foot fungus. Please mop the floors in the rooms once in a while, right now it looks like you give it a clean once a year at best.Other than the floors, its a very chill and pleasant stay. Not much nightlife but the city doesnt have much nightlife either so its possible you prefer that.

Me and my family (wife and 2 kids 8yo and 6yowent there to visit Etna. More than a hostel is an apartment where the main mission is to make you feel at home. Room was clean and big, bathrooms kept clean by the guys who manage the hostel. Natalia welcomed us very friendly and was very nice with us and with the kids all the time; great worker by keeping the hostel in a good shape, always shared with everybody what she cooked for the breakfast or for the dinner. I have never seen her stop working. We met also Hussein who helped her in managing the hostel, also him was kind and friendly. You can have your dinner with the guests and the staff togethere sit on balcony facing the inside of the typical sicilian house. You met lot of people from different cultures and Casa Verdi is more than an hostel, its where you support each other and even if you dont have to , you feel like doing it because it is like being with old-time friends. There is also a room where you can spend your time by reading the books left, playing guitar if you want to, just relaxing or making craft works. The position is good, close to the center and the main street but far from noise of them. Nice fornitures. If I should come back in Catania, I will chose Casa Verdi again. To Natalia and Hussein..keep going on, great job! It was a pleasure meeting you guys. See you soon!

I booked via booking.com once I arrived they explained everything and culture.. they gave breakfast dinner coffee with awesome heart.. each and every day is special in this house.. Best place in Catania. Santo and his partner invited us for water, coffee and even cake while we were waiting for our other hotel to received us. They were so welcoming and kind. They also have a great place with a magnificent terrace and the whole vibe is really good. Is a place with a great energy.

Ambiente pulitissimo e una atmosfera bohemien che ti fa subito sentire a casa .. In pieno centro di Catania , vicino a tutte le più belle piazze della città .. Il mercato della piazza alla mattina e qualcosa di magico! Super consigliato 👍

Contatto la struttura oggi, 27 agosto per capire se fosse disponibile una camera , che mi dava già disponibile su booking. Mi rispondono che è tutto pieno.Allora chiedo come mai? Visto che su booking invece mi dava la camera libera.Mi rispondono che invece la potevo prenotare ed era libera quindi la blocco e mi dicono che avrei potuto fare il pagamento in struttura.Passano 2 minuti e mi scrive che se avessi fatto il check in più tardi avrei dovuto pagare con paypal.Bene , nessun problema allora chiedo un pó comè la struttura, i bagni se sono privati o menoNel frattempo mi scrivono mi dispiace hanno prenotato altre persone la camera non è più disponibile.La mia recensione non va alla cattiva struttura che non ho mai potuto vedere visto che mi hanno tolto la struttura dopo averla bloccata parlando direttamente con loro , ma alla cattiva organizzazione e mancanza di rispetto avuta.A mio parere queste sono cose sgradevolissime, non ci si comporta così.

This place is litterally like a home, where you have a nice bedroom and you live with your family! Lots of sharing, including stories, food and good times.

A real home to everyone. The staff is really helpful and easygoing. Even staying short I could feel the family vibe! I really recommend.

Perfectly located, clean, with beautiful decoration, spacious, with a huge terrace and, most important, with very friendly people living in there. I spend just one night in Casa Verdi but would have loved to stay at least a week. Not kidding. Thank you for everything Santo and company.

Home away from home. Super friendly bunch of people, chill ambience, clean, cosy, and comfortable. Doubt that theres a better hostel in all of Sicily --book in advance! ❤️ especially recommend it to nomads, travellers, artists of any description. I booked to nights, ended up staying a week.

This accommodation turned out to be quite the nice surprise. In my experience, similar accommodations have always been pretty lacking. Here, it is not the case. The location is ideal and extremely convenient for many of the cities attractions, in particular the market being located just a short walk down the street. The unit is accessible on an upper floor by lift or by stairs. I was greeted by a very friendly staff and the check-in process was smooth and painless. The air conditioned room was large and spacious with 5 beds, a desk, and several nightstands. I found the beds to be pretty comfortable, with the exception of the pillow, but that’s a personal preference of mine to have memory foam, firm, pillows. Next to each bed, you will find a power strip that will allow you to charge multiple devices easily. This location only has a few rooms and has a very low-key, comfortable aesthetic to it all. You will find three bathrooms fully equipped, and each has an assortment of toiletries available in case you forgot your own. The showers are as you would expect in Italy, small, but functional. The kitchen is well equipped and the staff often prepares a large dinner for themselves and always invites the guests to join them if they so choose. The breakfast is basic, and donations are appreciated, which would make the next days a little less than basic. The common areas are comfortable and wifi is available throughout the property. The balcony is a comfortable area to sit and have a beverage/food, have a conversation, or just sit and listen to someone playing the guitar. Overall, my entire stay from start to finish was pleasant, and wouldn’t hesitate of booking this location again in the future.

One of the most homely places to stay, really nice and friendly hosts. They share everything as if they are family :if youre looking for a place to stay in Catania, Casa Verdi is the place to be! Be careful about coming in too early because Marco is notorious to sleep in, hahaha ;)

Best place in Catania, best people, awesome all around. Very clean and very cosy. I would give more stars if I could, 100% recommend! Mostly liked the alternative vibe at the terrace where you can chill and meet other people, Marco was a great host.

Molto accogliente, bei spazi comuni in cui si può far amicizia con i vari ospiti della casa, staff gentile e disponibile. Il check in lo abbiamo effettuato prima dellorario previsto. La casa è molto pulita, sia le stanze che le aree comuni, i bagni sono in comune, ma sono tre quindi difficilmente li troverai tutti occupati. La posizione è centrale, ma il parcheggio si trova facilmente. Una bellissima esperienza!. Consiglio caldamente di alloggiare qui!

Più che un b&b è un progetto di coliving; si può rimanere un giorno ma anche mesi, offrendo il proprio contributo alla gestione della casa. Si pasan por Casa Verdi no esperen el ambiente de un hostel convencional porque es un ambiente completamente hogareño, donde el almuerzo y la cena se transforman en un momento en familia.Los chicos son simpáticos, amables y predispuestos.Marco nos hizo un espacio cuando tenía todo lleno y eso es invaluable, especialmente cuando llegas de noche agotado por el viaje.La ubicación es perfecta, tienes supermercado cerca, la feria diaria y los principales atractivos de la ciudad. Las instalaciones son nuevas y limpias, cuenta con servicio de lavanderia.Les agradecemos inmensamente su hospitalidad y los buenos momentos.Si vuelvo a Catania no dudo en regresar a Casa Verdi. I arrived late at night the street was silent and made me nervous as hell. BUT to my surprise, these people who worked there were all very NICE and sweet people!! So were the other guests, everybody are very friendly.It was a great stay here, and it is better to arrive during day time.

Great place!

Ive spent a two beautiful day in Casa Verdi.Its in a central position of Catania, easy to be reached from the railway station and at the same time close to the most beautiful and touristic place.Casa verdi is run by 4 awesome guys that let you feel like youre home. First of all the room are very CLEAN, comfortable and beautiful furnished.They gave me 2 towels for free and asked me what kind of pillow I prefer!!! Amazing!There are 3 bathroom and a kitchen where you can cook and share the lunchtime with the owner and the other guests on the terrace.I had great time and I strongly recommend Casa Verdi.See you again guys!
