Not just for a stay but also for amazing place to meet a great host and people around the world at rooftop balcony. The host was very kind, genuine and helpful for giving local trips. Ask questions what to do at old San Juan, you may get to experience snorkeling! I would not forget this experience. Thank you very much😊🙏

I was lucky enough to find this gem in the heart of Old San Juan! I loved how easy it was to get around all of OSJ! I got a private room and loved how safe I felt there! The eclectic decor with the distressed look gave me a peek into the history of this place. I have a romantic outlook on experiences and stays so if you are looking for a boho Instagram flex this may not be your style. This place has cleanliness and safety which are all I require with a funky look! Definitely would come back!

10 out of 10. I wanna start off by saying that i was supposed to check out January 2nd and ended up extending until January 7th because of how comfortable i felt here. The number 1 thing for me when staying somewhere, especially as a female solo traveler is security. I need to feel secure and comfortable and i felt that my entire stay. The place has 2 gates prior to getting upstairs where my room was and my room had 2 locks one being a latch lock which made me feel super secure. To add, the location was perfect. It’s a short walking distance to everything in Viejo San Juan. By the way this is basically a hostel & out of the many hostels I’ve stayed in, i would say this is top 3. If you do not want to share a bathroom, when booking choose the room with private bathroom.The second most important thing to me is cleanliness. The staff literally cleaned outside of the rooms, the bathroom & washed towels every single day. I also had the opportunity of giving them my clothes to wash. Cleaning supplies are left in the bathroom including brooms and a mop in case i wanted to clean my room. Due to covid, room cleaning is not being done until check out at almost all places, however the host did provide me with clean sheets.Thirdly, if you’re not new to traveling you know that staff can either make or shake your stay. The host was such a blessing! I literally kept asking him last minute to extend. Although the room i was staying in was already booked, he continued to accommodate me so that I would feel comfortable and of course stay again in the future, which i will without a doubt.For reference, the AC definitely works, a little too good lol. I say that because I get cold easily, so most nights I didn’t even turn the ac on. The times where i did feel too warm, i turned on the ac and literally cooled off in like a minute because of how well the ac works.The kitchen is well stocked and always clean and the balcony is nice to chill at or eat. I definitely recommend anyone to stay here especially female solo travelers. It’s a cozy & safe place & to me at least feels like home. Thank you for creating your place to be such a nice and safe place!

The hotel *hostel* is in a great location. You are close to all of the tourists attractions and there is a Burger King next door if you are craving fast food. Things that I liked were the location, 24 hour access to the property, comfortable bed. The things that I disliked were that is only one small sign outside that can be easily missed, this location is not handicapped accessible, there was a unleashed dog present in the hotel at the time of check in and the worker at the time did not move him away from you so if you have allergies think again, the room was clean but clean but no acc which was fine since it’s a budget hotel, the was a opening on the top of my room so when ever it rained the water droplets fell on my face and there were mosquitoes in the room that bit me all over. In conclusion the hotel was good for a budget but do not make any expectations.

Its a budget place in an excellent location. Theres wonderful art decor inside thats pretty impressive. Its motel type dwelling where you get what you pay for. No AC available. Shared bathroom its an old building. Service friendly and professional staff very helpful. I did get several good nights sleep and when I step out the place found peace , scenery and tranquility. The staff is nice friendly and very helpful. We extended our stay here and would definitely come back.

Eddie was very friendly and let us check in hours earlier (we had checked out of another placehe gave us a room upgrade as it hadnt been booked that night. Its in the heart of Old San Juan. Its an old building (to be expected in Old San Juanso be aware there are stairs with no elevator for luggage and a shared bathroom plus kitchen. Theres also a nice shared balcony/terrace. The rooms are small but stylish and well priced. One highlight was the excellent wifi (~9ms ping, 297mbps down, 143mbps up)

wasnt what I expected... no air conditioning in room- one ceiling fan didnt do us any justice... it was hot- the shower water was hot with no way to make it cooler- after being in hot sun all day, its nice to go back to your room and cool down with a cold shower, hot shower made it worse... TV was a plus.. walking distance for good foods, sights, and sounds... Eddy the owner was a friendly guy...

I arrived early and was hoping to wait for the check-in in some common area but nobody opened the door while I waited outside for almost 2hr (no reception desk). The - most likely - owner showed up around my check in time and didnt seem friendly at all, more annoyed that I am there. He told me to go to 2nd fl where his super nice employee Charlie showed me the room and bathroom. I knew it is going to be a very basic stay based on recent reviews but its just impossible that this place has a 4.4 rating. The rooms are small, dont have windows, A/C or any sort of privacy (and pics here are not accurate!). Its really hot at night and loud if you decide to leave the fan on. But my main issue was the smell. I stayed there my first night but couldnt handle the heat & smell and booked a last minute overpriced hotel with A/C for my 2nd night. The bathrooms are bad, no toilet paper, no privacy. I didnt see any dorms or common areas besides the balcony so this place is NOT a hostel. The only other person I saw there was an old man who stared at me from his room each time I went to the restroom. This building has so much potential if it got decluttered and remodeled. I really tried to complete my stay there, especially bc the employee asked multiple times if everything is okay (looks like he lives there so technically that makes you feel safer). I know there is a room with AC (and private bathroom?on the 3rd floor so maybe that one would be better.Based on my interaction with the owner and other reviews, I didnt try asking for a refund for the 2nd night. Lesson learned - dont book the cheapest hotel.(And yeah there were bugs, stains and dirt but that seems to be the case in every hotel in PR).

WARNING!!! PLEASE AVOID!!!! My girlfriend and I stayed there on July 31st and August 1st, the picture isnt reality. When we first entered The Go Go, it looked like a dungeon with two gates separating second floor and third floor. We were placed on second floor and when we saw our living quarters we felt nauseous. The floor and our room(swere dark and dreary with no light. There was a weak lock that anyone could pick, in-order to get into our room. The scariest part of second floor was the bathroom, if youve ever seen Saw, imagine a dirty gross bathroom with a door with no lock connected to a dismal kitchen directly outside. The room was dark with a couple of toilets that looked like they werent cleaned in weeks and one shower for the whole floor. The shower looked like a hole, which you had to craw in, in-order to get in. There weren’t any windows in those two rooms. Our bed looked like it had bedbugs in it. We complained and we were upgraded to the third floor, which was better, but I wouldnt wish anyone to stay there. The doors were flimsy and the locks could easily be picked. I saw a cockroach run up onto the sick as I was brushing my teeth. Again there was only one restroom for the whole floor. I saw ants crawling on the third floor kitchen counter. Our bedroom floor looked like it wasnt ever cleaned and there were other peoples hair on our bed, which we noticed after a couple days of sleeping in that room. I notice bites on my legs and my arms after night two, and realize that the bites were BEDBUG bites. We asked to be moved and we were moved into the next room, but we checked the bed and saw bedbugs crawling between the mattress and the boxspring. We notified Eddy (short man, 5’2", grayish/black hairthe manager, he looked frantic when he saw bedbugs crawling under the bed. Eddy got mad at us and said we had to leave, because were causing problems. We found a better hotel outside of The Old Town. He texted my girlfriend (we booked The Go Go under her numberand he kept asking her if she found a place and where she was staying, but he must of forgot that we came together. I called his number and told him to stop calling her, he acted confused and dumbfounded. The GO GO only had one means of exit, in-case of fire. WARNING!!!

Nice place and friendly staff. The location is perfect! They dont providebody wash so only thing I would recommend carrying along or buying prior unless you dont care :No elevator , so go there only if you dont mind climbing up a few stairs

Eddy was great. Our family of 7 was stranded in San Juan airport after missing a flight and after calling 12 neighboring hotels who either didnt answer or were booked, Eddy answered the call at 5am and worked his magic to accommodate all of us. The hostel was a great authentic old San Juan experience. Eddy, Charlie and Oscar were all great. The themed rooms, painted murals and at collection were amazing. The best thing was feeling at home. Reminded me of my grandmas house in Carolina. Close to everything... Little souvenir shops, convenient store and a burger king right in the corner Will definitely stay here again when back in town.

We book it for Saturday and Sunday. A beautiful and unique place to stay to feel the San Juan vibes ✨ The service and manager was great to us. Would go back again!

All I can say is that Eddie! Is the man! He made the experience 10000x times better plus the accommodations with hospitality. Great location close to everything! Best Vacation of my life!

If youre staying in Old San Juan or plan to visit -- THIS is the place you want to be. Dont even think twice. Just book it!!!! You will not regret your decision. Its located right on the main street in Old San Juan in the center of town and in close proximity to anywhere you want to go in that area. There are other "hostels" in the area but I wouldnt classify this as a hostel because I had a level of privacy there that hostels dont provide such as my own locked bedroom for example. Its a very clean place and the owner goes out of his way to keep it clean. The kitchen area was immaculately clean. The balcony and rooftop areas provided breathtaking views. My favorite part of staying at Casa TripGogo was the host Eddie. He went above and beyond to make my stay thee best vacation I have ever had and I will never forget him for it. Eddie personally showed my husband and I around and advised us on a lot of historical information about the island. But I knew that I would be in good hands before I even arrived in PR just from talking to him on the phone prior to my arrival. He was able to help me with questions I had about checking in and getting there from the airport and was very patient and helpful. He didnt rush me off the phone or make me feel like I was bothering him. By the time I hung up, I felt like I was showing up to stay with family. Now that Ive stayed there and actually met Eddie, I feel like we are family and Im welcome back anytime. You cant put a price on that level of comfort and customer service. Do yourself a favor and book Casa TripGogo.

Impossible to beat the location for the price. Great communal feel and everyone is so friendly. Eddie is extremely accommodating and kind. We absolutely loved the rooftop patio, we went and enjoyed our pina coladas up there and the views of Old San Juan. He has a chef come in to prepare custom breakfasts at a reasonable price too.

Extremely better than expected, from arriving with late check in after long travel to having a most welcomed and comfortable stay. Great room (Bob Marley), very cool vintage vibes, rooftop lounging, and could write allot more but overall...cant beat price for total experience which we will absolutely do again!!!

When I tell you this is the experience you want believe me. I stayed at a fancy new big modern air bnb when I first came and then some cute Botique hotel for a night but when I decided to extend my stay I looked for a more budget friendly place. I found this. From the moment I called and spoke to Eddie I knew there was something special about this place. And there is. It’s real. It’s not fancy but it s secure and Eddie takes care of his guest in the most personalized way. That is a huge thing when ur traveling in a foreign place or not. It is very safe and secure and the location is the absolute best. Private rooms but you can be as communal as you want with other guest. Laundry is an option. Coffee in the mornings and conversations with other people from all over. It really can’t be beat! I’ll be back again and again. Thank you Eddie!

I’ve been to this beautiful island a few times, but this is always going to be my go to from now on. Eddie is THE BEST. He is so personable, so accommodating, communicative, great recommendations for local restaurants and things to do in the area (he personally took us snorkeling to see sea turtles and beautiful fishes, and it was one of the greatest experiences I’ve had).Casa TripGogo is in a great location and in walking distance to so many cool areas. The hotel was spotless and we all felt very safe. I love it being in the older San Juan buildings, there’s so much history in those walls, it really takes you into the world and culture of the area.Oh! And make sure you get the breakfast, it is homemade, beautifully presented, and everything tasted so good.I’ve stayed in many many hotels all over the world and I’m sick of it being the same walls, this was a unique and memorable experience, really looking forward to coming back!

This is my first time staying at a hostel and Eddy made this experience wonderful.- My boyfriend and I had problems with our A/C in our room and Eddy was very accommodating to that. Hes a funny and easy guy to talk to. I would definitely come back to this place again. Also, I would 100% recommend the breakfast. The chef is amazing.He also took us snorkeling and even provided us gear! But WOW... he definitely knows his stuff. I was just blown away by the beach and the activities that he took us to.Trust me, you would not want to miss this gem. I would take this over any other hotel in the city.Thank you Eddy for making my stay at Puerto Rico an experience to remember!

We found a friend in Omar as he was a warm light to greet us among a tropical storm on the island. He had awesome suggestions for a scenic morning excursion. The location is awesome in the midst of OSJ.

I had a wonderful time here in Casa TripGogo! Its officially my favorite place to stay whenever I come back to visit El Viejo San Juan. I didnt want to leave! The rooms are so great with different themes and full of art and culture. I stayed in the room Tango and Soprano and i will be asking for the same rooms. I had a king bed! The walls are painted with great art to enjoy the experience even more they even included books of the themes of the rooms. The manager was so great he made sure I was comfortable the entire time and he offered clean towels and water bottles. I truly love this place I took time to go up to the "Terraza" its up a set of stairs in the balcony and it takes you up to a seating area in the roof where you can enjoy the moon and the stars and the Viejo Sanjuan town spirit and breeze. I will forever stay here everytime I come back to visit sanjuan. 100% recommend Casa TripGoGo.

I found Gogo last minute 11pm..This place is a gem if you’re looking to get a real feel of Boriquen life. Eddie the owner is the definition of cool. He runs this place like a good owner should with the highest attention to your comfort. His pride in his place showed as he explained all the amenities which for the price you’re going to be surprised. It’s a rustic yet neat, gritty yet clean and has the true feel of days gone by of the “Old San Juan” living . Go make friends for life and a home away from home at Eddies Gogo casa you’ll sleep like a baby and really experience “local style” living.

I would stay here again 10 out of 10 times if I passed through San Juan again. Eddie is the man- and Olga makes a slamming breakfast. We had the room with A/C and it was wonderful. The ceiling fan in that room is CRAZY powerful- turn it up to max and hold onto your sheets! :)

Excellent room and service. Eddie, the owner, was a great host and very helpful. His staff was helpful and made a delicious breakfast every morning with cafe con leche that was perfect. I liked the open air building, I never stayed anywhere like it. The mattress was new and very comfortable. There are many stairs and due to my spinal disability I was worried about that, but Eddie got my bag in and out for me. Eddie is a hard worker, very smart, and a perfect host, he even cooked my dinner one night. I had a great time and I highly recommend Casa TripGoGo.

Owner couldnt be bothered. I would have rented a room but the first thing I was met by was attitude. If you dont want people inquiring about rooms on location then put up a sign. No need to be rude.

I do not recommend staying at CasaTrip GoGo. While the rate is nice for a single room in the area, you miss out on many standard hostel benefits. I was traveling solo as a woman and could not find the entrance nor could I get in touch with someone to let me into the hostel. I was alone in the neighborhood and felt relief only because I could wait in a Burger King that was next door. When I did get in, it seemed my room wasnt ready. There is a porch and a roof deck but not much other communal space to meet other travelers. I canceled my second booking at the end of the trip and stayed at the Mango Mansion instead.

Stayed here for my last night in PR. My friend and I was greeted by Eddie, who was very friendly and accommodating. Even when I left early he allowed my friend to stay there for a few extra hours - which is really kind of him. He offered breakfast and even sent us something to do that night, in case we had no plans. To my surprise, the room was a good size and cozy. My only comment is that there are two doll heads on the wall as you walk up, which scared me a few times - especially at night. It’s prob just for decor but a little scary. Otherwise, everything was great. He even gave us water!

Its another option many should explore when travel is involved. The place is smack in the middle of all Old San Juan has to offer. Like being home away from home, the staff which have to be there because the place is impeccably clean, stay out of your way. And after sight seeing kicking back in my private room with 📺 after creating my own meal in their clean kitchen, equipped with all i need, falling asleep to do it all over, I was starting to think I actually lived in Old San Juan🙂👍🏾

Loved it. Cozy. Staff is great. Has everything you need plus a great breakfast! Since this review we visited again in May 2019 and the improvements are substantial. We love this little place. It feels like home when you walk in the door.

Its a no frills place, but the location is excellent and its quiet at night which is important since Im a light sleeper. I really appreciated that use of the washer and dryer along with detergent were complimentary. The owner, his assistant, and the cook are helpful and super friendly. I would stay again.

The place is modest, but I have to give it five stars because of the staff. Everyone is incredibly helpful and friendly. Absolutely opt for the breakfast — the cook is incredible and so nice. I always looked forward to having breakfast on the balcony. The room was comfortable and had a mini-fridge, the shared bathroom had warm showers, and I like having access to a common kitchen. I would be happy to stay again.

Owner was awesome. Also the older man was very kind and willing to help. Very welcoming , Would def stay again. And the woman that cooks is so nice! If you need a place to stay in the heart of old San Juan in a pinch , give em a shout !

Intimate and very personal experience here. If youre looking for an inexpensive true hostel experience with an amazing breakfast give this place a try. Eddie was an outstanding host, he gives wonderful suggestions and tips for just about anything you can imagine doing while your staying in Puerto Rico. We began our trip in Old San Juan and ended on the other side of the island in a hotel. With the information Eddie has given us we were able to make and capture wonderful memories.

The location is great and the staff working there care about your wellness and the quality of your stay. The room isnt strictly in the bigger end and you share bathrooms/showers with others but never ran into anyone in the bathrooms during our 2 nights stay. Nice complimentary breakfast in the morning, and there is also kitchen where you can grab a cup of coffee or cook instant noodles if you get hungry.

I loved this place, they have the best price around the staff is incredibly hospitable.Their WiFi is super fast and was perfect for my video conference calls.The location is in the middle of old San Juan close to anything you would want.Also some of the rooms have a balcony over looking the city!Free services, like awesome breakfast, and doing my laundry !!!

I recently spent 4 days at Casa Trip Go Go in San Juan. The owner, Eddie, is very kind and helpful, and is also a great chef and serves beautiful and delicious breakfasts. He keeps snacks available in the kitchen and was very helpful when I needed to find a medical clinic to go to. The price is very economical! The establishment is kept very clean and is a very enjoyable and relaxing environment for a stay in San Juan. Eddie also helps you carry your bags up and down the stairs at his establishment. The location is in Old San Juan and is a short walking distance to many great places in Old Town that you will find interesting to visit. I highly recommend making this part of your stay in San Juan!

Great hostel, highly suggest booking.Eddie was very accommodation with our early arrival and late departure. The best part was the breakfast of champions we got in the morning. Delicious Puerto Rican breakfast, which was the best breakfast I have ever had at a hotel or hostel.

The best part? Every morning Eddie makes each guest a fresh, thoughtful, super tasty Puerto Rican breakfast on the balcony. I can’t say enough good things. Perfectly located. No air conditioning = not a problem. The building has an open air layout (charming AFand fans in the room. OH and TVs hooked up with Netflix - not that you should be holed up watching Netflix during your stay but we found it nice at night while winding down. Will definitely book again on the next trip to San Juan!

Great location in a really cool and clean old building. walking distance to everything in Old San Juan and has a great rooftop terrace. Can’t be beat in this price range. The host Eddy really made this a wonderful experience. He was great for any kind of advice and we felt like he genuinely went out of his way to make our stay special.

I need to say that this is the best experience Ive ever gotten about booking an accommodation. Honestly, this is way above my expectations, especially according to the money I paid. For example, I expected a bed, nothing else, and I got the full experience of local hostility and domestic food. First day with me and my gf sleep over the breakfast because we were tired of traveling at night before and our host-owner made us lunch with some fish, veggies and splashed banana, which was I would say not just a lunch it was a fine dining :D Room was really clean, they offered us some cosmetics in case we forgot something,Coffee, towels, food, they even helped us with caring lodged up the stairs, with organizing transportation and also suggested places to see around for cheep or that are free.

Would give this more stars if I could! Conveniently located in the heart of Old San Juan so everything is within walking distance. I loved walking to San Cristobal, Playa Peña (beautiful beach!, all of the beautiful plazas and parks, bars, restaraunts, and shops. There is so much to see and do and eat! My bed was very comfortable and I slept like a baby. The rooms are perfect size and have everything you need- tv, wifi, fridge, etc. I was able to park for free right out front. Ed is very amazing and went way out of his way to make sure I had a great trip! He helped me out with so much and showed me some amazing things in PR! He cooked amazing breakfast as well and you can tell the #1 priority here is the guests wants and needs. He has food for you in the kitchen area as well. I loved hanging out on the roof overlooking the city. It has a hammock that I fell asleep on a few times. This is the most perfect place, whether youre on a vacation, work trip, couples trip, etc. truly amazing! Such good hospitality! I cant wait to be back.

We loved the vibe of this place! The room had a unique artistic feel that made it really fun to stay there. The manager was super friendly and gave us recommendations and even made us pancakes in the morning. We ended up grabbing some wine and hanging out on the roof and enjoying the view.
