Un lugar por el que quizás pasamos muchas veces y pasamos desapercibido. Se puede llegar al lugar por varias calles entre ellas el paseo de la princesa. Personal muy amable y atento y sobre todo bien orientado para brindar toda la informacion histórica sobre este lugar que fue la vivienda de la primera alcaldesa del Viejo San Juan. You can get to the place through several streets, including the Paseo de la Princesa. Very friendly and attentive staff and above all well oriented to provide all the historical information about this place that was the home of the first mayor of Old San Juan. Our guide was very informative. She was the first women mayor of San Juan. Was mayor for 22 years.Now they have a woman mayor and governor. Yes!

Interesting piece of San Juan history. Home of first female mayor who did alot for the people like creating a Head Start program for children.

Visited on 9/28. The Museum is very interesting. Hope they’ll improve on some things to help it achieve its full potential. Our guide walked us from room to room but didn’t discuss most of what was on display (she ended the tour without addressing any of the items on the first floor, so we had to ask her about them). She answered questions we came up with but didn’t offer much information unprompted and initially didn’t give us any background about who ran the museum, its purpose, etc. This museum is chock full of memorabilia but the lights were off in all rooms, making it extremely hard to appreciate the items and read explanations.

Freethis is a wonderful Museum with Rich historythe staff is fully bilingual and extremely humblethey also sell water bottles for a dollar which is very hard to find here in Old San Juan10/10 loved it

Felisa Rincón was a very famous mayor of the city of San Juan. She is known for her love of children( she started the head start program in Puerto Rico ), for having brought snow to Puerto Rico, helping the impoverished, style & fashion, amongst many other things ( not to mention her mayoral skills.This museum is situated in one of her domiciles, and it contains artifacts, furnishings, and documents of her life. The museum is free, although donations are encouraged, and the knowledgeable docents are eager to tell you all about this famous mayor of San Juan.

The ppl who work here are so informative and friendly. The artifacts are many, w awards, fans, keys. Her furniture and paintings are impressive

El Viejo San Juan está adoquinado con piedras que eran traídas en los galeones españoles como lastre. Son piedras con una gran cantidad de hierro ya que procedían de la escoria de los molinos de fundición, lo que les da un tono azulado, ese sonido tan especial al caminar sobre ellas y un brillo espectacular después de un corta pero intensa lluvia tropical.
