Casa Jimenez - Mexican restaurant in Duarte, United States
Great food, fast service
Small place with big serving, good food. Be prepared for lots of leftovers and being stuffed. Prices are very reasonable for what you get.No change here, except more people are getting their food to go. They still have the tent and tables set up outside.Today it was very busy, all inside tables full. Service is very fast, food is great, we also took food home for more meals. Really great!!!!No change, you do not go here for the atmosphere, you go here for good food and service. You could say the atmosphere is authentic, but I cN ignore that for good food.
Waiting staff was pretty rude behind my back. Its not evident that I speak Spanish but people need to be careful who they want to talk bad about right in front of others.Making fun of using a fork and knife to cut a not so tender steak (its called etiquette for othersand laughing because I was trying to be courteous in front of my mother in law by making sure I didnt have any left over food on my face.Pretty disgraceful. Not to mention on top of that the food is below average. You could get better huevos rancheros at a street vendor.Go waste your money somewhere else.
Food A+Cost $$Service Good to BadEmployees No masksDelicious authentic Mexican food.Servers no longer wear masks.Very clean facility, restrooms well maintained, plenty of parking and visible from street but in corner of home depot mall.Ambiance is relaxed and enjoyable, and for the most part quiet. Most employees super wonderful but one time their credit card machine was down and they didnt make that obvious or well enough known and an unprofessional employee began to argue and mock elderly couple, fortunately they had enough cash but shame on you casa jimenez for hiring and keeping employees with such poor public relations skills.very disgusting memory. shame shame shame , not exactly what I want to say but I want to keep this post professional.
I’m changing my 5* review from two years ago. This location is actual trash now. The freshman team. Go to the Glendora location if you want well prepared and good tasting Mexican cuisine! 💯
Great authentic Mexican restaurant. Just like moms cooking. Still the best Mexican food in los Angeles.
Good food. Service is sub-par and the place is not very inviting or comfortable.
Excellent food and service. Great people! Perfect breakfast! Try the molcajete!
Great food!!! But $6.95 for a Michelob ultra come on 😡
Best Molcajete in town!!Low key better than El Pescador!Love their customer service. Thanks guys!!!
The food was awesome I love it. The mimosa was perfect taste.
We enjoyed our lunch at Casa Jimenez. After that we went to the Brave Young Womens Conference at Calvary Chapel Monrovia
One of the best places to eat, not just for Mexican Food but just in general. The prices are fair and the food is bomb. The staff like Ivan + Alfredo are so kind and so accommodating. During the pandemic when you couldnt dine in the staff always would go the extra mile to ensure you had plenty of Salsas, Chips, Napkins all in abundance. Lots of places skimp you on that sort of thing or dont even give ya chips to begin with but not here, they wanted you to feel at home like you were at the restaurant and I appreciated that so much. You can dine inside & out now that things are opened up and the menu remains the same as prior to the virus. The all you can eat option has been removed but everything else remains the same. I dont have anything bad to say about Casa Jimenez at all. They make you feel like family and my family and I are very greatful for that. I just finished two enchiladas with rice & beans, pappa had an Asada burrito and Mamma had a veggie and everything was perfect. Full tummy but cant wait to go 🔙 #normalnotallowed
We were at the location in Monrovia. My family was celebrating Ayyam-i-Ha, which is the Bahài gift giving time, focus on service others and preparing for the 19Day Fast. The service was great and the food was delicious.
Service is quick, place is nice but I was disappointed when I looked at my plate it was a Chile relleno the worst looking chille I’ve ever tried
Nothing special, just common Mexican fare, I had huevos con chorizo.Service OK and the store appeared to be clean.
Xxsloth_teamxX on YouTubeGood service and friendly staff food was ok recommended. Thanks
Little hole in the wall. Seated and ordered off menus. Authentic and service we prompt and no nonsense. I would recommend
We came in a little late (about an hour from closingthe food came VERY fast... hot and delicious!!! Will stop by again on our next time thru town.
Service is okay. They take their time. My moms coffee had like meat, my grandmas spoon was still dirty and mine and my sisters meat was expired. It tasted so nasty. The least they could of done was not charge us for the two plates and coffee.
Awesome food! I got the taco, enchilada, and Chile rellano combo. Everything was delicious and they have a great spicy salsa 👍👍 Will be back!
Very fast! Well-seasoned food, not too greasy. Family atmosphere, super cozy. No TV/Music lound sounds. Well, 5 stars.
Ive been a customer for years. Hands down, the best and most authentic Mexican food in the area. The staff is always friendly.
Large n tasty portions, but i miss the all u can eat option.
Fresh seafood, and traditional Mexican style homemade dishes can be found here. Hearty Breakfast plates, lunch and dinner. They have an outdoor tent setup that is perfect for evening summer dinning.Servers are on it, always making sure you have whats needed.
Havent been to this place in years & decided to try it again, but once again I was let down. The customer service was good and the hot salsa actually had a nice kick.
If you ever in San Gabriel Valley and you are hungry for real Authentic Mexican food. Come here to Casa Jimenez. The food is great the staff is awesome. If youre hungry try their chile verde, Chile Colorado, steak picado, or if youre just looking for a great soup try their menudo, cocido.
This place was amazing. Real honest to God Mexican food. Chicken Enchilada made with white meat and red sauce. Chile Relleno was amazing. Definitely recommend.
Excellent Customer Service 👌👍Great Food 👍👌👍👌👍
Food was dry waiter rude to other custome had the lady repeat her self 5 times on what kind of beer she wanted not cool at all we enjoy coming to eat at this place 3 to4 times a week but this experience was far from excellent
Very good service! Great food! Tables are spread apart for outside dining. Had a great time.I will definitely return!
Delisioso! Awesome and reasonably priced. Great soups and Menudo weekends. They have an all you can eat special menu that has it all. Try it. For $15.99 per person, you cant go wrong. You will be satisfied with whatever you order!
Love it..Everything was delicious we try aguachile, shrimp cocktail, fish plate very good. The service was ok
I was surprised when I took 3 teenagers for breakfast burritos and the bill was $60. We eat out often so if the food is good we dont mind paying, but the prices on the bill didnt match the menu prices. Each item had been upped by a dollar (or more). I felt like it was a bit of a rip off. I didnt want to embarrass the kids so I just took a photo of my detailed bill (barely legibleand left it at that. With so many great Mexican spots nearby Id pass on this one. Its not amazing. Food is so so.
The beans and rice were outstanding and was a great sign of what the food would taste like. The enchiladas and sauce were extremely flavorful. The carne asada tacos were also very tasty but were just a bit overcooked. So it lost some of that juiciness. They have very good food my only suggestion is to have a hotter taco sauce available for us spice freaks.
Great food, good prices and always treated well
It was our first time so Id have to try again. Did not care for the shrimp for n my salad. But other wise a nice salad and nice service.
It was a nice restaurant but hard to park in this restaurant. The food was made really fast but it wasn’t very tasty. The tortillas weren’t warm they were cold. Other than that it was a nice restaurant I didn’t like that they let people come inside and sing to the customers eating because most of us don’t carry cash to tip them. Also the steak was very chewy not tasty. Also you kind of feel like the seats are to close to each other
All the workers go out of their way to make your visit pleasurable, and the number one comment I hear from people I take is the salsa and chili taste great. The prices are below market, and as for the food, I go for breakfast, which consists of potatoes and eggs, rice and beans for the best price in the area, and although the rest of the food may not be five star, it taste good enough to come again and again
good food and very very polite people
Service was ok, eager to take my order before I could look through the menu. The food was hot which I appreciated but needed a bit more seasoning and the huge chunks of nopales and onions mixed in with the julienne pieces was a bit annoying. I had nopales with eggs and had a choice of toast, not tortillas, that was odd for me.
Family restaurant. The food is really authentic. They have all u can eat for $12.99 great selection. The staff is wonderful. We are regulars there.
Pleasantly surprised :)Went at someone’s recommendation and was not let down.Guacamole is simple and fresh.Variety of salsas is also a plus.Expansive menu too!
One of my favorite Mexican good restaurants, especially this particular location. The staff are all very courteous and treat you as a special guest.I have 3 grandchildren who all love the kid plates from here, especially the cheese enchilada rice and beans. For under 6 dollars, these kid meals are a great value! The menu choices are many, my favorites are the hard shell beef tacos , Chile Verde, or the Enchiladas! These are also reasonably priced.
Great food, fresh and great taste.
Great service, food is always good.
Warm, prompt service, delicious food, good prices for the portions - a great find! Plating of food is nothing special - standard for this type of restaurant. Free chips and salsa plus huge cups for agua frescas and horchata, its easy to see why so many people love this place!
All you can eat from the given menu for $13, not too shabby
The food is Always good here!
I really liked this place Customer service was a plus ,when we got their it was busy busy no tables but they were able to make us feel welcome and we where able to eat good for our hour lunch .
