Restored Spanish farmhouse with rustic details, whitewashed brickface & tended grounds.
This is a gorgeous place to celebrate weddings or anniversaries.
Casa Feliz was a dream venue for our wedding, and Sarah with Arthur’s was fantastic to work with! It was the perfect backdrop for our perfect day - the building and grounds are gorgeous inside and out. While we initially dreamed of having our wedding outdoors, we ended up moving it inside due to rain. That said, the team at Casa (Arthur’sdidn’t miss a beat, and it ended up being even more gorgeous than I could have imagined (part of why we picked Casa was because we felt comfortable with the indoor option and with the unpredictability of FL weather that’s a very real thing to take into account!). Our guests were in awe of the venue, and we absolutely love looking back at our wedding photos!
Beautiful mansion in Winter Park. Great for weddings, receptions and various events.
Great place for events.
Chose this location for a family portrait session. Got lucky as the venue was reserved and closed for a group, but the staff member at the house allowed us to take our pictures while waiting for the party to arrive. The house and grounds are gorgeous. Our portraits came out absolutely beautiful! Definitely a perfect setting for pictures.
Casa Feliz is amazing and beautiful museum. Its a wonderful option for any event/occasion intimate or casual.
My great grandfather is James Gamble Rogers, the brilliant architect behind this house. My family fought to save this house from demolition decades ago, and the last minute discovery of a protected bald eagles nest delayed the project enough for it to be saved and moved to its current location on Park Ave. My mother was executive director here most of my childhood, and my brother and I spent many afternoons here growing up while she worked, exploring and collecting lost golf balls. In high school, my mother and I attended weekly yoga in the garden room - an experience so beautiful and unique it ruined yoga at normal places for me!From the moment you walk in, the home feels safe and soulful, almost like stepping away from the "real" world and into a fantastical oasis. This house is not only utterly stunning and full of rich history, but a place that has, as its name suggests, brought joy and fond memories to many people. It is central to my family history as well as my own history. Its a story I tell often and with pride. The beauty and warmth of this home is unsurpassed in Central Florida. If you choose Casa Feliz for your event, you and your guests will not be disappointed.
Absolutely beautiful ❤️ I definitely recommend visiting. I went during the week and it was free however I will be returning for a tour to learn about the building, they had a sign up that they do the tours Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Beautiful place. Great for pictures!
Casa Feliz was the first and only venue we looked at for our wedding this past Friday. Once we saw it, we knew it was the place for us. We cannot say enough great things about the venue and the whole experience. Our guests all loved the venue and thought it was so beautiful and unique. A HUGE thank you to Sarah, who answered all of our questions, helped make our wedding go smoothly and everything in between. Arthurs Catering has the BEST wedding food we have ever had. All of our guests couldnt stop talking about how great the food was. Especially the flaming donuts! The bartenders were amazing, our server Alyssa was amazing and all the rest of the staff were impeccable! I would recommend Casa Feliz to anyone looking for a venue in Central Florida!
One of the most beautiful places to have a Wedding! 🥰
WHAT A BEAUTY!!a magical place I love the rustic feel. And the hosts are so delightful and willing to help make any event go without a hassle.
We were the florist- Golden Petal Designs for this wedding—an excellent venue to work with. Beautiful grounds!
It was a great wedding also the venue it was so cozy , my family enjoyed 😉 👍🙏
Lori and the team are AMAZING! We always love working with Casa Feliz. They are so organized and efficient. We highly recommend this venue for events, not just because of its obvious charm, but because of its incredible staff. It just doesn’t get any better than this!
We had our wedding at Casa last month & it was TRULY PERFECT. We worked with Lori for the months leading up to the wedding, and she was always very responsive, professional, helpful, and super nice!! The day of, the team at Casa was extremely helpful and organized, since theres so much happening I wasnt fully aware of all the things that needed to be done/be on top of etc. They handled it all and I literally had no stress! We made a game time decision for inside or outside dinner as it was potentially raining, and Lori really helped me figure it out and make it all work. The guests had so much fun and I couldnt have asked for a better, more beautiful venue & company to work with for our wedding.
I liked the name in English it’s Happy House so I got curious it’s a great place to rent for a party, wedding etc. quick 15-30 minutes to kill just to view
The team at Casa was SO wonderful to work with!!! Our wedding reception was absolutely beautiful! Crystal was so amazing. She was available to us and answered our questions (we had many!at every step of the way. Everything turned out exactly as we wanted it too. The food from Arthur’s was great as well! Our guests raved about how gorgeous the venue was and how much they enjoyed their evening. Casa offers such a unique and intimate space, it’s really a special venue for a wedding! Worth the investment, highly recommend booking!!
Just, WOW! These guys turned the impossible into a fairy tale. My new wife and I couldnt be happier with every aspect of the operation. From the people to the food to the ability to react on the fly - a 5-star wedding experience.
Great place for a wedding. Great place for a photoshoot. Very near the shops, the Sunrail, and golf country club.
Beautiful venue for Weddings and much more.I had the pleasure to work there several times as a photographer and the photos turn out so beautiful.
Such a beautiful home. Went during the Sunday open house (12pm - 3pmand it was so lovely. Live music, delicious cookies and refreshing lemon water for guests. The docent was super sweet and had great little tidbits of info to share. This was a fun and relaxing thing to do on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon. I imagine holding an event here must be very romantic.
We recently shot a wedding here and we were so impressed with the beauty of this venue! From the brick walls down to the cozy rooms, Casa Feliz was not only a joy to photograph in, but it felt like being home. Thank you all!
Visited this morning and was amazed. The historian at the house, Liriam, walked me through and her knowledge of the house was amazing. Met Phil the caretaker and he also gave me info. Great visit. Thanks to the staff.
Beautifully restored historic home. Its in amazing shape considering it had been moved!
The music was great by the performer he has a very soothing voice. Takes approximately 30 mins to tour the entire house.
Great venue, sweet historic home.I was the florist and Mother of the groom good timed
La Casa, built in 1933 by architect James Gamble Rogers II. The original owner was Robert Bruce Barbour, who paid $28,000 to have it build on Lake Osceola. Today, is a museum, where couples reserve in advance for weddings. On most Sunday, from 12-3, musicians volunteer their time to play their instruments to entertain. There’s no charge, however, donations are encouraged. Children are welcome.
I visited this destination for wedding and it was absolutely beautiful. The Courtyard was stunning where the musician who played overhead. The inside made for an amazing dance Hall and photo booth. The outside was lovely for dining facility. If you were considering this to spot for wedding I would really recommend it as it was a hit for my friends.
I am getting married here in October!! Im super excited because Casa Feliz is such a GORGEOUS venue.Lori is AMAZING!!! Ive loved working with her so far and she has made this process so easy breezy 😊If youre not planning on getting married here, swing by anyways. Its gorgeous to just walk through; located in a beautiful area.
The house looks pretty from the outside. Inside though, its very musty. When we asked to see the gardens, the docent told us there arent any gardens since they dont have a caretaker anymore. The reviews were pretty misleading for this place, and it wasnt worth driving on Highway 4 to see it.
Beautifully restored historic home in Winter Park with unique history of being moved to be saved! We enjoyed lovely live music while listening to a docent explain its history. Plan around an hour to explore inside & enjoy the beautifully landscaped grounds. I found lots of videos on YouTube of weddings here🥰
Beautiful place to bring de family, live music every Sunday, its free but dont forget to bring a little for contribution, the house is well kept, Staff is knowledgeable and inviting.
Casa Feliz is Spanish for Happy House. Known as the Barbour Estate, architect James Gamble Rogers II designed the home for Massachusetts industrialist Robert Bruce Barbour in 1932. Rogers was given free rein to creat what he liked.. Barbour told Rogers to make it "any way you like. If I dont like it, Ill sell it." so he designed it to look like an old farmhouse. Built on the shores of lake Osceola during the Great Depression, the house was designed in an Adalusian style at a cost of $28,000. To make the house looked weathered he used old roof tiles and created a crumbling archway on purpose. The result was a house that was beloved by the residents of Winter Park for the next 70 years. In 2000 a local doctor purchased the property and planned to tear down the house because it was too small for him. With the house in danger of demolition, the Winter Park community rallied together to save it. The fate of the house was so dire that wrecking balls had actually struck the corners of the house before demolition was halted. The house was moved from the lake to its present location 300 yards away on the Winter Park Golf Course. Copies of Rogers original drawings and interior photographs taken in the 1930s by Harold Haliday Costain were used to restore the house to how it looked in the 1930s.Today the house is a museum and is used as a wedding venue and for private events. You can tour the house for free as I did with my daughter on my most recent trip to Winter Park. The wood work inside the house is exquisite. Interesting to me was the fact that the house has a basement which is something you never see in Florida homes. The house is a treasure and thankfully it has been restored which was not the case for 15 percent of the other 129 historically significant buildings recognized the year Casa Feliz was saved. They have since been destroyed. As James Gamble Rogers II granddaughter Joy Wallace Dickinson has stated "People like to be surrounded by the feeling of history. But they dont want to have to deal with small bathrooms." As real estate and developing pressure increase more homes will fall, ruining the character of what attracted people to the area in the first place.
Had my wedding Dec 30,18 90 people. Lori was awesome to work with. The food from Arthur’s was so Good. Even as the bride I wanted seconds. Amazing venue guests are still raving.
We must start with the fact that Casa Feliz is such a naturally beautiful and intimate venue. We worked side by side with Crystal and she was nothing but a pleasure to work with. She was very honest with all facets of the wedding planning. She was always available to answer any questions we had. It was awesome having her present on our day to ensure that all of the details went according to plan! Our guests are still telling us how beautiful and elegant our wedding was! They also haven’t stopped talking about how great the food was!!! Thank you Casa Feliz and Arthur’s Catering for a magical wedding!
Attended a wedding here and it’s a truly charming very Winter Park place to host just such an event. The staff was great and on top of the food and beverages. The dinner was held outside in a patio area with a clear plastic tent above to protect us in case of bad weather. The bathroom featured gorgeous turquoise tiles and the cobblestones out front added to its historic vibe. Parking was a breeze and we all had a great time.
I visited on a Sunday while they had open house and live music. The guitarist chosen was very talented! Nice staff, a lovely house, and an interesting back story.
Gorgeous wedding venue! Staff is always amazing!
A pretty and peaceful place worth to visit. Parking is not as difficult as I imagine, just park at the street side and walk for a while, then you will see a whole different world in your eyes.
People keep reviewing this as an event venue, but first and foremost its a museum. The Spanish Renaissance-style farmhouse has Renaissance art and furniture from Spain inside. The furnishings arent from the original house, but if you look at the museums photographs of the place, the replacement furnishings are exactly the same as the old ones. There arent ropes in front of the furnishings, so dont bring kids who would be tempted to touch, sit, etc. The lack of ropes makes for great photos. Youll even want to take photos in the beautiful unisex bathrooms. The exterior looks like it would be Snow Whites cottage, only bigger. The house was originally further away, but was moved downtown. The museum has local news clips from the time, showing how it was moved. This is one of the best-if not the best-attractions in the Orlando area.
My husband and I had our wedding reception here in 2011, and it was perfect! Its a beautiful, cozy space for a smaller gathering. We had about 80 guests, any more and it would be too crowded. Love all the events they have throughout the year too. Weve made a Christmas tradition to go see Santa with the kids during the Christmas at the Casa event. Every year they improve it a little more and make it more efficient so the kids have something to do while waiting to meet Santa.
My husband and I were originally planning to get married at Disney World, until I saw Casa Feliz. Casa Feliz has so much character, beauty and history. Not only do we love Casa Feliz, but our guests did, too. They are still commenting on how beautiful the venue was. Marie is amazing to work with, she is professional, genial, helpful and full of knowledge. Arthur’s, their exclusive caterer, is amazing as well. We wanted a vegetarian/vegan menu and it was incredible, even self-proclaimed “meat and potatoes” lovers enjoyed it. The best decision I made (besides my groomwas getting married at Casa Feliz!
Very pretty ...perfect for photos and events
Photographed a wedding there for the first time in who knows how long. I cant recommend this place enough. A beautiful layout for amazing wedding photos. My wife and I had a great time with the Arthurs Catering staff. 📷:Rudy & Marta Photography
This beautiful place is great for weddings and receptions. You can use your own favorite catering service and its quite a lovely, cozy and romantic venue for any occasion! We loved it!!
Had my wedding here in 9/24/16 and I have nothing but extremely positive things. Everyone here in staff and with Arthurs Catering was fantastic. They were so friendly and attentive. If there was a hiccup, it was too minor to complain about. Thank you so much
The staff is super friendly, the layout is very good, and events here will be memorable because of the historic appearance. Id give it five stars except for a few minor issues that arent the venues fault: sparklers arent allowed and loud music cant be played outside, both of which are outlawed by the city of Winter Park. One other hiccup: the house sits against a golf course, and random people strolled by while we were taking wedding photos. Again, not the staffs fault. Our guest count of 45 fit snugly and perfectly into the outdoor courtyard.
Take a step back into the glory days of Winter Park architecture. This unique home will inspire you to learn more about the community. It serves as a testament to the value of historic preservation in giving us a sense of place. A great venue for arts and cultural performances, as well as private events.
While working at Solutions Bridal I have partnered with Casa Feliz for events and photo shoots. They have also assisted many of my brides. They use one of the best caterers, Arthurs Catering. This venue is perfect for an outdoor - indoor option and ideal for someone that loves the vintage look. Every wedding photo I have ever seen from this venue is gorgeous!
