Privilege
I ate a ton of beef at this place. Would absolutely go back.
Food was amazing! Great service.
Food was soooo delicious. Steak was high quality.
Definitely the best wagyu I have ever had.
Very elegant restaurant. The steak was just amazing. One of the best I’ve had so far. Service was top notch. Would love to come back there.
MoreThey made a MEAN steak. Party of 4 came in from the rain, the started us off with a cup of soup on the house. Place is photogenic, if thats important to you. And each Entree comes with 2 sides.
MoreThis is the best place in Antigua! The tomahawk with shrimps was my favorite. Awesome.
MoreMUST GO if you’re in Antigua and love meat!
Food was amazing, the staff members highly attentive.
Great food at fair price. Excelent service.
One of the best places in Antigua. A really upscale experience.
A perfect place for a special dinner in Antigua. - service here was exquisite, our waiter brought coat hooks, explained dishes carefully and was very well mannered but not uncomfortable to be around - My ribeye was cooked to perfection, the meat quality was very good, the meat had a great taste with its rosemary seasoning, it could have used more salt, burns that’s easily fixable - this steak will more than please any good steak lover and could feed two moderately hungry people. - we also had a chicken dish, the chicken had a delightful and tasty seasoning and was really good, with the Cesar salad and potato side tasting good.- the brownie desert was a large portion, with a rich, unique flavor to the brownie with great vanilla ice cream. All of our food came out to under 70$ for a dinner for 2-3. For the quality of service and food, this is a bargain. I can’t recommend this enough if your looking for something special and some good meat
MoreThe best restaurant in guatemala! The meat was just perfect and all the staff members were kind and welcoming!
MoreAmazing steakhouse in Antigua with a picturesque window view of the old church. The food was absolutely amazing! Melt in your mouth Steaks, drinks were aromatic and tasty, And dessert was delicious try the 3 leches cake, and the creme brulé
MoreWonderful atmosphere, great service. Maybe their prime meats are delicious, but the lower-end cuts were flavorful but tough and the sides (mashed potatoes and saladwere absolutely horrible. Sad.
MoreAmazing meat, great service & atmosphere! Highly recommended!
Excellent, especially considering the price. Party of 4 and we dined early on a Tuesday. Service was great but the owners were parked next to us working on their laptop 😀Started with drinks - strawberry (goodand lime (greatdaiquiris, mojito and negroni.Appetizers were cauliflower (wow), fondue (great but would have been better with the garlic bread we had later instead of the little bread sticks it came with.)For dinner we split 2 jalapeno mignon steaks (great but the spicy sauce placed on the table early along with pickled veggies and a tomato sauce was better), the antiguena soup (great), garlic toast (great), another cauliflower and some malbec. Too friggin full for dessert. All in including 3-4 drinks each was just under $200. Highly recommend.Pics are antiguena soup, mignon, fondue, cauliflower, strawberry daiquiri and the starter sauces and pickled veggies.
MoreOne of the nicest restaurants in Antigua. Food and service were top notch.
OG it was the best place we ate since a private chief in Sweden! We absolutely loved the tastes and presentation, have no words…prices just made me smile.A MUST while in Antigua Guatemala
MoreVery good food I recommend the hamburger the service is ok waitress was not very nice
MoreThe Casa Escobar in Antigua is a unique experience. The menu has lots to offer, the meal was very tasty. I didn’t take pics of my food, but this church is across the street.
MoreGreat restaurant with amazing beef and atmosphere. A perfect place if you are going to threat yourself while in Antigua.
MoreSuperb place to enjoy the Kings Punch: a slow roasted, 12-hours tenderized wonder of meat, packaged into a beautiful little show. We had been there twice, and it was absolutely delicious experience, beloved by adults and kids alike. To our great surprise and for free they also made a beautiful sweet plate for our birthday girl just because she proudly exclaimed that she is now 6. Did I mention a romantic sunset over the scenic ruins of Jesuit church? Yes, we are definitely coming back!
MoreEven when main dishes are not equal to Guatemala city, the service where great!
Highly recommend this place. Will definitely be going back!!
Great romantic spot. The atmosphere was nice, but it was a little loud. The piña colada was divine!
MoreTop notch steakhouse! Service is friendly, attentive and on point! Definitely the best food in town and located in the heart of a historic area.
MoreBeautiful ambiance, delicious salad , excellent service. We were welcomed with a cup of broth that was delicious!!!! Nice touch. We ordered the Tomahawk steak , one of the worst steaks I have ever had. Don’t bother trying to eat this!It had no taste, full of fat, not cooked evenly.Very disappointed.
MoreDelicious food and drinks! Their lattes are great with or without sugar. I got the entraña importada steak medium well. For sides, the salad, mashed potaoes, and bread with garlic were my favorite!! The fries and the guac sides were great too. I would definitely recommend.
MoreExcellent meal with very good service. We enjoyed a great selection of meats by ordering the parrilla assortment, salmon, salad, corn, croquettes, cream brûlée. We had a wonderful red blend from Argentina. In others we piggies enjoyed every last bite. Wonderful table where we enjoyed a scenic sunset
MoreVery nice restaurant. Best Steak house. Service was good, not excellent. Best to make reservations. We had dinner two times, first time the service was very good. On our second visit was not the same. We had the same waiter.
MoreThis restaurant is excellent. The staff is super nice, attentive and welcoming. I visited on my first day in Guatemala and it raised the bar for what was expected for the rest of my trip. Having a delicious meal while watching a volcano spit out lava was so dreamy. Ive never seen such an amazing site. I highly recommend checking out this restaurant for not only the food but the volcanic view!
MoreLate in the evening we managed to seat at Casa Escobar, while other places around were closed already. We were craving meat, and we ended up satisfied: we went for a gran lomo Escobar, that came (super fastserved on a plancha with onions and chili. Side dish, guacamole and baked potatoes. The meat was very soft and delicious, watch out the chili, its really really really spicy (the waiter served me water first and milk then since my mouth was on fire). We ordered a Norton red wine from Argentina to drink along the lomo.550 qtzl for two, a good price for a very good meal in the city center of Antigua.
MoreGreat service, great food ! The steak was amazing! You should visit here :)
We ate here our first night in Antigua. Found Casa Escobar to have wonderful food and ambience for a romantic dinner. We ordered a tomahawk steak which was cooked excellently and found both than and the sides (and even the sauces to garishabsolutely delicious.Would give Casa Escobar 5 stars easily if it wasnt let down by its service. Dont get me wrong here, Im not trying to be an awful American here expecting servers to fawn over their diners but we visited on a quiet evening when there were only a few other diners and it took 20 minutes for our drink order to arrive and 30 (30!for sparkling water. I would have spoken up to a waiter sooner but I was distracted by the lovely company at my table.Summary: Great food, let down by service, would definitely recommend for carnivores out there if you have the time and want a white tablecloth meal.
MoreThis restaurant was amazing!!! Food was so delicious especially their tomahawk. If you love steaks this is the place to be at! The tomahawk can be shared with 2-3 people depending how big of your appetite is. It does come with 2 side of your choice. Any sides you decide to choose will be great. I came in with my family so we got to try most of the sides and they were delicious, the potato puree was my favorite. Our server, I believe his name is Marlon, was great with us. He helped us on how to order the food and didnt try to rip of us like other parts in Guatrmala, since we were tourist eating at the restaurant at the time. Both of my parents are Guatemalan, so we will be returning back to their country to visit again, we will definitely be returning back to Casa Escobar!!!!
MoreMy favorite restaurant in Antigua. Super awesome food and service. Cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend!
MoreThe ambiance is wonderful, service is top notch. Every plate we had was delicious and the portions are huge. We had a red wine sangria and a white wine sangria (probably the best Ive ever hada caesar salad and shared a trozo de lomito, which is 14 oz of filet mignon and our son chose the salmon which came out with 2 filets probably 12 oz total. For dessert we had Panna cotta and the bocado de Cardenal which is a tres leches cake. All of it was perfectly prepared, especially the meat. It was so juicy and tender it melted in your mouth. Though a bit pricey for Guatemala, its worth every penny. The food was so delicious I couldnt wait to dig in, so not many pictures and the restaurant sits right across the street from some ruins.
MoreOne of the best meals I ever had. The price you pay is worth every single penny. We ordered melted cheese with tomatoes and basil as a starter. The main meal was the mixed grilled with sides of house salad and grilled veggies. Everything was just perfect. We closed the night with a couple of Affogato. Highly recommended.
MoreBy far - the best restaurant in town!Great service!Out of this world!Thank you
Excellent steak and salad. Friendly service and reasonable pricing. Definitely coming back!
MoreGood food. Good atmosphere and service. A little expensive, but the meals are satisfy.
MoreGreat food and amazing service! We celebrated an anniversary there and they made the visit special. Thank you!
MoreHad a great steak dinner with very good service, wine and food. I highly recommend the queso asado as a starter and try sitting in one of the tables in the front with a view to the church across the street, so romantic!
MoreExcellent Steakhouse. All meat is US imported and of best quality. If you love meat, it’s the place to go. The house own sommelier gave us recommendations for wines. Very friendly staff and service. The only b-mol was that you had to pay extra 4 dollars for a choice of steak sausses.
MoreIf you want a good steak Im Guatemala and decent table service this is the place to go in Antigua ... Yes its a bit pricey but the food is good and the meats are cooked to order... Finding a good steak in Antigua is a bit hard but if you dont mind paying premium for your dinner or lunch this is a great place to visit ... We had a platter with 4 different meats appetizer, 2 drinks and dessert for about $100 u.s. for Guate standard this is expensive..tourist and foreigners may be good deal .... The service even the hostess is really good always trying to up sell you but stick with what you like
MoreVery nice place, a totally surprise in the inside, huge price and was very funny and our server first name was Pablo. It is a bit $$ but the quality of the food and the portions where great. I from Argentina and the empanadas was the whole real things
MoreFrom the moment we walked in we where being told where to sit instead of being asked where we would like to sit. Steak was flavorless, and with a good portion of fat on it. When I asked to be able to sit on the top floor. The waiter couldnt get his story straight. First he said it was not allowed then backed his story up with we only allow it on the weekend. For an expensive price and tip I should be able to sit anywhere.
MoreCasa Escobar is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Antigua. We tend to go on weekdays as it is less crowded and you get an even more personalized service. From their salads, to seafood dishes, and most importantly the steaks, I have never had a dish that I did not love. We were feeling glutenous one evening and ordered every dessert. Completely regretted the decision later, but it was fantastic in the moment.CB provides excellent service and perfectly cooked/seasoned/dreamt dishes in a fantastic location.Definitely make reservations if you plan to come on a weekend.
MoreAmazing service. The staff is so attentive and helpful. The food is fabulous! Very reasonably priced for a beautiful place.
