Simple but outrageously beautiful, located along uringi crescent avenue.A view not seen anywhere else,you see the planes landing and taking off while you have a bite or a drink is something else .A Totally magnificent place,extremely cool atmosphere. QUALITY Service is a must in this place,washrooms spotlessly clean,meals out of this world.you do get to see ugandas airport at a distance and it is quite a scenery at night,that is the airport all lit up.make it a point to drop by and make sure to share your experience. Thanks Carpe Diem.Ahh not forgetting their insect repellant, the beautiful smoking pots.They do repell the insects at night.

Discovered a new restaurant for me and like it. I went there twice in the last days and also had their food delivered a third time. Never disappointed.The location is well above the lake, with a spectacular view on the airport and lake. The food is delicious, the service is good, the garden very open and light. Its also a four room guesthouse and nice inside, the bathroom is clean, the bar well equipped.

Their food is tasty at a reasonable price, a great view and friendly staff.

If you are late in Uganda and looking for a place to sleep whether booked with travel perk or paying with your card. Dont even think of going through here. They wont even open the gate. They will speak to you when the gate is closed and cant even see who you are speaking to

First we asked ourselves why this place is called a french restaurant. Neither the menu card gave an answer nor did the interior remind us of France. Later we found out that the owner is French. Okay, thats kind of an explanation.The sight is simple awesome and the food was delicious. The starters and the main dishes were really tasty, as well the fish as the beef.One big advantage is the position of the restaurant at the western slope of the city. A brilliant look at airport and lake combined with a steady flow of fresh air makes this place highly recommendable.

Its a nice place with amazing food. I would prefer if the serving of burgers is done in a more modern way of a board rather than the cheap looking plates that we were served on. Other than that great view of landing planes.

Amazing views of Lake Victoria at this restaurant. Outside seating with candles when it gets dark. Went with a group of 8 I was traveling with and all of the orders were correct and all of the food was hot. The Chappati nachos were delicious!! Good place to have a meeting or an intimate dinner.

Despite the very nice and beautiful place, the French press coffee, which was served in a broken glass/press, was not good at all. I used to enjoy this place before. Hoping it’s just an incident.

Quiet calm and serene. Wasnt crowded on the day we visited and took the exact time the waitress had told us to have our food served. If you are looking for a cosy place to dine as you look over a front drop of Lake Victoria and aeroplanes landing at the airport, this is your place..

Entebbe is not a crazy town, but even so, Carpe Diem is set in a particularly quiet and safe part of town on a dirt road high above the lake with beautiful views. Each of the handful of rooms is clean, well appointed, breezy, nicely decorated with art work, and have a private shower and toilet. It is relaxing to sit in the restaurant in the front yard and enjoy the views. There is a wide selection of excellent dinner and breakfast (includeddishes. They offer free pickup from the airport. It is a 20 to 30 minute walk or short bodaboda ride to Victoria shopping mall in downtown. Stefan, the owner, is super friendly. There is secure on-site parking if you have your own vehicle.

The view of the lake Victoria is beautiful, food is very nice and the apple crumble is the best apple crumble of Entebbe.

One of the best places I have been to in Entebbe. Im not staying here, so cant comment on rooms, but the food is amazing, the service attentive and it has a marvellous view. I had vegetable samosas, which were sublime. A friend had the guacamole with chapati chips. The guacamole was beautifully fresh and chunky and the chips, amazing. I also had the African Spiced Tea. It was so tasty, and not sweet like chai can be back home.

Nice little restaurant with a view of Lake Victoria. The food is good, nothing fancy, but tasty and lots of variety. The burgers are good and so are the Mexican food type dishes. Good selection of beers and alcohol, but only a couple of wines. Prices are good and the atmosphere is relaxed. Service can be a little slow.
