卡奈基餐廳 Carnegie's Bar and Restaurant - Bar in Taipei, Taiwan
Not only they have variety of good drinks, but they also have decent food 🍔
Great service and selection of food / drinks. Make sure you attend the monthly Drag Brunches!
i had there for dinner with friends, food and drinks is ok but a little bit pricey . Good place to chill and relax, and Great service as well.
My fathers go-to place with his mates after work! Food is delicious and drinks selection are great.Great place to hang out and party with friends at night.
The lunchtime and dinner food quality is superb…. We are genuinely surprised by the level of taste, presentation and reasonable cost…. Bravo, well done, much better than a few years ago… super impressed nowadays
It is a very nice and inexpensive Restaurant. No 10% Service charge. Suitable for lunch. Don! know abo
I didnt feel good after eating the food. Same for one of my friends.
Comfort ever lasting American food, really really American.
One of the best & consistent for pizza’s Thx allot team Carnegies for all our mid night cravings
It’s really nice here before 10pm. After 10, they start playing music a little too loud so if you’re with a friend or on a date, come here before 10. The food was alright.
Good vibe with a large seating area. Had a set Christmas dinner, extremely large portions! Taste was pretty good but some stuff lacking. The Yorkshire pudding was just pure oil. The Meat was slightly dry.
Best Thanksgiving meal in Taipei! Huge plate of turkey, mashes, and stuffing! This place is great for food any time and the service is excellent!
It’s a nice looking bar. Happy hour beer prices are good too, but it’s outrageously expensive after the happy hour.Besides, there’s not many people there. It feels like the type of place that was used to be huge but lost its momentum.Seems more like a place for old people.By that said… in some ways, I really quite enjoy the place.Just don’t expect to find a tipsy single girls from there coz there ain’t none.
They dont serve what is in the menu… for the thanksgiving lunch they are supposed to give you coffee and then the rude waitress told us that we already asked for one drink (wineand that we are not allowed to order more. The waitress was rude and the portions really small, my friend asked for a brownie and it was the size of half her finger….
Cool atmosphere, good location, daily deals. Check it out.
Staff does not give you the feeling that you are welcome. Felt like "oh no! Guests coming and we have to work". Environment is cozy and the food is good.
Nice beer. Ok food. Nice place to chat. But the bugs are everywhere and tbh kinda gross. Like wht why are there little black bugs that I have to swat away every 3 mins during my meal.
Something between an American Bar and a traditional British pub, large but very well appointed and managed. They offer a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as an equally wide choice of Western food, including all the classic calorie bombs, but also - a rarity in Taiwan - a fresh produce salad without meat. My scoring for the quality of the drinks and the food would be 9 out of 10, but the overall impression of the place and last but not least the attentive service deserve a top score.
Great for expats! The food is good and the happy hour prices are awesome. My only complaint would be about the DJ that seems to play his favorite list of 90s one hit wonders. I’ve been here two different nights and the DJ for Latin Night is way better.
The wings and truffle fries from the bar food menu were good but the tortilla chips with salsa and avocado was disappointing. The salsa is too sweet and tastes like its made with tomato sauce or ketchup. And its mixed with the avocadoThe caprese salad is also a bit small. The kicker, though, was that the last call for drinks is at 11:20 and when they close at 12am. A woman came over to ask if we wanted more beers and then asked us to pay then and there when we said we didnt. My hands were covered in nachos and my bf had a drumstick in his hand. We found this a bit rude since we were literally between bites. And then they started lifting chairs. A group of people that were still eating had chairs already on tables around them with the guy mopping by 11:30pm. (It was 11:45 when I started to write this and most of the chairs were up.We felt sort of rushed out. Were not the type to overstay either. Not a bad place, just think they could work on some things.FYI, the kitchen closes at 9:45 so there is only a limited bar menu after that.Staff is friendly though and good beer!
We had a lovely time here for lunch! They had a brunch menu and the regular menu and like 300 drink options! The atmosphere here is really cool. My chicken mushroom pie cost $450 + $20 for gravy. The food took about 15 minutes to get to us. Thank you Carnegies!
The steak strips was fabulous, exactly what you need for a nibble. The bartender was friendly and kind. Heard they have a completely different atmosphere on weekends that I would love to check out.
Just had thanksgiving dinner at Carnegie’s Taipei. I have had it here a year or two ago and the first time was a fantastic meal, this time however was really, really terrible!!!! Dry tasteless meat, overcooked sides and received a watered down coke for the drink... the only nice thing about the meal was the salad that was served before the main meal. I wouldn’t feel so disgusted and ripped off if it were $400-$500NT but $888NT for that is just infuriatingly insulting! As a result I will not be returning to this establishment again. To make it even worse my wife and I invited her family to join us this year because the last time was such a great meal and they were all very disappointed with their food as well...
I had dinner there with some friends. They serve indian dishes on the menu but they give you tortilla instead of nan and didnt know the difference between these two. We also ordered turkey menu for Thanksgiving celebration, the turkey was dry and not flavorful. Overall it was a good experience but food qualify can be improved.
Nice ambience and the food is okay. Beef is thick
The event was well organized here the food was AWESOME and really surprised me. The staff managed a large packed out house well. I want to go back in the day time to really enjoy the ambiance that most say is chill and old style chic restaurant.
Great food, balcony, crazy hour, and music. If you want to go out and let loose, this is the place to be
Before its good place ... food still good but now have cockroach... mosquito... not maintain ....poor service bcoz not enough staff
Ive been three times: once for a regular meal, once for a Christmas dinner, and once for a drag brunch. The atmosphere is nice, and the drinks do not disappoint. They also have a very big selection of spirits, which always makes me happy. However, the food, on the whole, is really bland! It looks good, but there needs to be more seasoning. If the food had more taste, Id be happy to update my rating.
Came here with friend and I like the spacious restaurant area and high ceilings. Drinks and fries tasted great and servers were pretty helpful and attentive. Today’s Latin music choices was so so to my personal preferences. The only thing I don’t like was that they allow customers to start smoking in the restaurant maybe after certain hours. When there’s law specifically says that no smoking allowed inside the restaurant. Hopefully the restaurant can improve in this issue.
The worst restaurant in Taipei, bar none.If your friends offer to bring you here, get new friends.Came in around 2 after their lunch rush and we were the only table ordering more than beer. We ordered a full meal for 4 -- with drinks and appetizers inc. their most expensive item on the menu. Moments later, the manager personally comes to "confiscate" (exact wordsmy 1/8 of a cup of Starbucks I was in the middle of finishing because outside drinks are not allowed and I should leave it at the bar and pick it up later. The food:- Fish and chips were fried in oil that was obviously not hot enough and extremely greasy.- Curry was under-salted and the portion was very small; came served with slightly-dry rice they couldnt be bothered to fully microwave.- Chateaubriand was overcooked (asked for med. rare, came out medium well); it was clearly made first and left out (prob. not even under a heat lampand was room temp on arrival.- Mac and cheese was ok.Visit: Feb 21 2020
nice environment and pizza, a lot of drinks
Classic pub in Taiwan. Alot of drink options where you can also store your bottle. Wide open rock atmosphere. Stay late and dance on the bar to have the best time.
Carnegies is somewhat of a Taipei institution. Years ago it was famous for the quality of its food, as well as its drinks, staff and atmosphere, but the reputation of the food was a reputation in danger. This is no longer the case. The food is once again brilliant.I am so happy that the kitchen is now serving great food again. I had one of the lunch specials, a 6oz fillet mignon served with mashed potatoes, and it was fantastic, at least as good as places charging far more. Then, having been joined by a few people, tried the fried chicken and nachos as pictured. No pictures of the steak as I devoured it before even thinking. As the other attributes of the bar, service, drinks and music, have always remained excellent, I am delighted to have excellent food there again. Definitely worth a visit or several!
Great service, very friendly staff. Extremely reasonable prices on the drinks. Nice environment & great music.
Nice place for drink and dining. The price is very reasonable and taste so good! There are so much variety of cocktails and hundreds of shots to choose. The environment is very comfortable for hanging around with friends. The happy hour from 10am - 9pm everyday which is very good in Taipei. With to visit for drinks
Wide selection of drinks and food, and the food is actually good.
Good value for drinks 300NTD entrance ticket with a gigantic pint. We went on Friday but it still seemed very empty. Good music though.
Wide varieties of food and drinks to choose from, good place to hang out.
Still a great place to grab some brunch on the weekend.
If you like a good old fashion American style bar in Taipei, look no further. The owner is really cool and Eden the bartender really knows how to make a good cocktail. When I get homesick, I head there and it makes me feel better. I would recommend for anyone looking to have some drinks and unwind.
There arent any local drinking places like pubs in Taipei. So, this was a really nice place to drink and chill.
Chilling place to hang out with friends. Came here to celebrate New year with friends and had a great night. Food was just alright. The staff that day didnt seem to be very happy. Probably because she had to work on the new year Eve which is understandable. Overall its a good place to come celebrate with friends.
Awesome staff and lively bar! Girls, dance on the bar and you might get a shot! Reasonable prices for drinks too.
Really good party pub with various events throughout the week. Crowd is mixed agewise, but not fancy. Drinks are quite expensive, but compared to clubs still reasonable. I like the fact that they use authentic glasses for respective drinks, that shows class. Definitely recommendable if you are looking for a relaxed and steaming party in the city.
Went for the first time yesterday for Christmas dinner.Location is a bit far away from the MRT but the food and atmosphere more than make up for that. Only sour point was you need to serve your own water.Be aware the portion sizes are HUGE so make sure youve got an empty belly before you go!
This is nice bar in the Taipei city. Food are also delicious.
Classical American style bar with a good selection of beers and spirits. Crowd is rather international. On Fridays there are dance performances on the bar.
Happy hour specials, selection of quality spirits and beer. Good for a pub grub fix. Excellent service.
Pretty deserted before 9pm on a Friday night. Man, Carnegies of old were the places to be on a weekend. Unfortunately, those times arent coming back.
