Carnarvon Hotel - in Carnarvon, Australia
Nice for a meal overlooking the water
We went in for lunch on a sunday. Food was overpriced for its quality, the staff member behind the bar swore infront of my kids and wasnt intersted in helping me. The place itself is clean and well looked after and it seems to be the only option in Canarvon on a Sunday.
Huge meals beautiful spot across from the water.
Good sized room, plentiful hot water in shower with good water pressure, friendly staff, excellent meal in restaurant, great location across the road from water and a boardwalk. . Only complaint was nowhere to put anything in the shower - needs a shower caddy or shelf.
Nice pub for a cold beer.
Tidy, friendly but …Ask how much the drinks are before you order. Most expensive soda off the tap I’ve ever come across. Ever
Mediterranean pasta was SENSATIONAL. Staff all friendly, great vibe, highly recommend.
Excellent food as always, good service, rooms upgraded plus security gates. A+
Good food and quick service, thank you
Top spot to stop.Always great food good service and nice cold beer.
Classic old style right on the foreshore with a great pub and restaurant.
Unexpected find in Carnarvon on the foreshore. Friendly helpful staff. 5 of us for dinner each with different meals, all meals were very good and service was good too.
Price of drinks ok. Food was not nice at all. Took forever to come out, it was cold ( ordered 2 hamburgers). Very short staffed as well.
Great meals reasonably priced.Service was great even during the lunch rush.
Best place to have a meal and watch the sunset, service friendly, locally caught fish yummy 😋
Good rooms, neat and tidy. Good service. Food - buffet was really good for the price. Saw a couple have a serving of beef (not sure what the cut was calledthat came out sizzling on a stone square on a plate, looked goood. Overall, a good stay
Went for lunch, food was good, friendly staff
Had dinner in the restaurant. Huge meals... was very busy the night we dined and we waited 45 mins plus for our meal.
This is the second time in a week we ate here.First trip was garlic bread and steak and prawns x 2. The garlic bread was lovely and the prawns were nice. The steaks were cooked well (medium rarebut really tough.Second visit we got there early (4:30pmand waited for the dinner service to start (6:00pmso had a bottle of wine whilst waiting.Ordered at 6:00pm (Bruchetta, Chicken Caesar and Lamb Shank). Garlic Bread came out and when I said it was supposed to be Bruchetta I got "well this is what was ordered"......ok......well wear your mistake and take the garlic bread. And I must say it was lovely! Then the mains came out.....Chicken Caesar was underwhelming. Not enough chicken for the extra $7.00, four croutons, minimal bacon and the egg was hard boiled. Also minimal dressing. The lamb shank was dry and there was hardly any sauce or mash.Weve been here 3 times now whilst travelling through Carnarvon. Unfortunately it has come up short each time! Add to the disappointment of the food, the rude abrupt staff member (the girl with the top knotjust assured we will not be back!Having just come from Karratha, the food there was much better!
Haven’t stayed at the hotel but have had two main meals there. The calamari was nice not stretchy at all. Also had the cheese burger meal, I think the meat pattie’s might be home made because it was delicious. Highly recommend the cheeseburger meal.
Lovely views, service and meals
Nice venue, food quality wasn’t great, $30 parmies were burnt up top, good selection of drinks and food, great for sunset beers but mozzies like it too
It a local pub nice atmosphere. Fish an chips nice. fish very fresh. Not many chips and not freshly cooked
Great location staff meals and friendly
Great menu & good pub grub. I eat some of my lunch & evening meals at this well placed location overlooking The Fascine in Carnarvon. The food is excellent and some of the sunset views to die for. Service is good too!
Fabulous Foreshore Hotel.Cold Beer, Great Food and Atmosphere
Bruschetta average, squid chewy. Only get 2 stars cos the fries were crispy
Top food and service great staff
Great spot plus great food will go back again
Loved the dining and the fish and chips. Good crowd and tasty ales. Plus a premium location.
Good food and great views
Best pub meal i have had in a long while
Fly screens would be nice on at least one window and cleaners should look up in bathroom because cobwebs with bugs in them
It was our Second visit here.View is amazing looking out to the beach ⛱️Bar tender we meet yesterday was very informative with the specials available 😀Tried Iron Jack beer which I quite enjoyed trying it for the first time.Staff were friendly and very hard workers.Okay so the eggs dont look perfect but the rest on my plate was fine.Fish and Chips was quite average.Overall our little stop there for dinner turned out great.Enjoy peeps should you stop there and dine, with a few beers 🍻 😉
Pre ordered to save the wait time and continue on the long drive north. Ordered emperor expecting it to be nice n fresh. Not so fresh n tasty.Pre ordered $43 t-bone steak to be well done with 25 mins notice. Steak came out medium.. 1st n last time for us l think Ill stick to road house food from now on. Cheaper and same qaulity
Nice food and location.Stopped in for lunch, sat in the beer garden and it was good.Plenty off street parking availableCan recommend
Good dinner at the pub tonight. The fish stew and the fish and chips were tasty and big serves. Great outlook over the water.
Meals were just ok. Coffee was worse than terrible and was so hot burnt. Sweet options were ok. Good for a drink and sport on tv but set your expectations to low on meals and you wont be disappointed.
Went for dinner tonight drinks were great but the food was very ordinary.Ordered fish and chips the fish tasted like it was frozen fish then defrosted and left out, it was over cooked and had a funny taste. Chips were yummy but salad was ordinary. Mentioned fish tasted weird to waiters but nothing was said or done about it
We came for drinks and dinner, the salt n pepper squid was the best weve eaten in a very long time. Service was fantastic. Loved listening to the DJ.
Disappointed in our visit tonight. Our entrees were nice but not really impressed with our mains. My veal was burnt and veggies were basically raw. Husband had the Pork schnitzel, no flavour with an oily sauce. Booked a table and arrived to find it occupied and had to wait for them to leave. Staff were friendly.
Busy place but lovely food, and the staff were so friendly, even though you could see they were under the pump, dealing with rude customers & were tired. They remained friendly & were doing the best they could. People should appreciate hospitality staff a lot more!
Went here just before sunset and sat in the beer garden. Had a few drinks and meal. Prices reasonably priced for drinks and meals substantial in size. Staff reasonably friendly but slow serving customers with many customers getting frustrated waiting.
Had a nice dinner here when we stopped off in Carnarvon one night. Service was frieny, place was popular and busy. Food was very good, I enjoyed the seafood chowder.
Beautiful outlook over the water. Air-conditioned indoor area. Really nice outdoor area. The food is good quality pub food. Chicken parmy one of the best Ive had. While the prices arent the cheapest, the serving sizes make up for it.
Eating here twice... food is good but for the price of a steak the cuts of meat need to be better quality... bit disappointed. The pub was so hot... most people were sweating whilst eating. Only two split system units trying to cool the whole pub down. The Lady taking food orders at the bar... cheer up!Location - Beautiful spot for sure!!
I was surprised on a Monday night I, my family and a friend, we couldnt get a dinning table....the place was full. WonderfulWe eventually got a table. On the contrary, I was happy to see a full house with locals supporting locals. I work in hospitality too. I know the feeling.
Had dinner, the fish and chips which I enjoyed. The menu is varied and they had specials.Located at a lovely location over looking the Gascoyne River with a good selection of beers.Great pub for a meal and beer.
The carnarvon hotel had Lots of vegan options which is a rare find on our road trip so far ! We had the Ratatouille (tasty but very spicy), and the risotto (tasty).Good views, friendly staff, and a great non smoking beer garden. Can get busy so book a table in advance. They had a couple of screens for the footy too.
We drove around town to find a nice beer garden so we’re really happy when we came across The Carnarvon Hotel but were quickly disappointed with the service we received. We got there at about 2:08pm, the kitchen had closed at 2pm which is totally fair but I heard the bar attendant say to the people in front she would ask the kitchen if they would do chips which they did. I then asked if we could get a serve of chips and the bar attendant said “no”. The food orders continued to come from the kitchen until 2:40 (when we left. Our intention was to buy 3 full meals plus drinks which for the sake Ike 8 minutes considering the kitchen was still pumping meals out would have been a bit of a loss for the the owners who have clearly invested money in the establishment. I was told by the young lady serving that “you could try the bakery”. Disappointing service
