Carnarvon Caravan Park - in Carnarvon, Australia
Old and outdated. not only that but beds didn’t have doonas and lights weren’t turned off so i had a light in my eyes the entire night. the price tag is honestly the biggest laught i’ve ever come across. charge that much if you have clean amenities and a doona on the bed. $190 a night is a rip off.
Stayed 2 nights, amenities where very clean, showers hot, nice grass price lowest in town friendly staff what more can you want . Thank you
Were still here, good location, lots of room, clean toilets, beautiful flowering trees and mostly covered in grass, $35 for a powered site.Spending 3 nights here.
Friendly staffA Bit old BUT cleanGood sitesClean water
Friendly, simple, safe, clean, honest.
Best value for money. A little quirky, but in a nice way.
Cant say anything bad about the service and the park itself was ok but the camp kitchen next to me was disgusting and the amenities were like a 1950s abandoned building. I thought as a budget option the budget was reflected in everything but the $35 price tag for an unpowered site. Cant recommend
Good price for a powered site. Amenities dated but very clean
Good park.old but clean and good price.
Great park and cheap 200 week powered and water safe
Great little caravan park! Toilets and showers were super clean, the man that checked us in was lovely. The price is so good for what you’re getting and you’re just a short walk from the bottle shop and iga. Happy days!! Thanks for having us
Basic and clean. Could do with some tlc. Is a good base when out and about.
This is not a 5 star resort, but then youre not paying the price for itThe amenities are old and tired and in need of repairs BUT they are spotlessly cleanThe grass though a bit long is green and theres plenty of itTheres a camp kitchen and laundries and a dump pointThe staff is friendly, accommodating, informative and helpfulId certainly stay here again and would recommend it to anyone not wanting all the bells and whistles of a resort and its only 5 minutes from the town center
We stayed 5 nights recently on a caravan site. Its the cheapest park for a reason. Dont expect flash amenities. On the positive side the staff were very accommodating and helpful, green grass on our site and some beautiful established shade trees.
A nice quiet park ,the grass sites were a little bit rough. The amenities were old but okay ,now the shower was a little bit tight for an old visitor like me.We enjoyed the Stay.
Okay you get what you pay for, this is on the cheaper side but ok
Great caravan site and very safe. Very busy with good facilities and very friendly staff. Not to far from the IGA and fuel. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed the warm weather.
So sorry to leave early .lovely people in the parkeven offered a refund .health is a thing carnet predict if you are better home so be it
Friendly and very accommodating manager. Sites were a reasonable size and easy access. Grass with concrete slabs. Older style amenities were clean with plenty of cubicles. Would stay again.
Older style park, but very clean amenities, friendly reception staff and cheap in comparison to the other parks in the area. Have stayed here 3 times, and will do so again if in the area
Good hospitality but seriously need upgrading...
I arrived on Easter Monday having broken down , my car and camper trailer were towed in by local tow truck .The staff were very helpful and so also was the owner , a number of the long term residents were also very helpful. The park its self is very spacious and lots of Shad there is a camp kitchen and swimming pool ☺️Yes it is a older park and buildings but the shower and toilet block are the cleanest I have ever come across in a Carvan Park and the showers are really good great water pressure .Oh and free internet , it is really the best value you will come across for any park up north 😉
Friendly office staff. Annie was amazing. Couldnt do enough for you. A friendly little park. Cheapest park in Carnarvon. All amenities that you would need including EFTPOS machine for the laundry machine and dryer. Book exchange as well. 👍
Stayed here with my dog camping in August!Spot on! Showers- laundry and camp kitchen all whats needed.Lots of friendly long stayers. The couple who run it are amazing! Even when I blew their power!
We were charged $190 a night for a cabin with 2 people. All beds in the cabin could not be slept Im. At 7 months pregnant all I needed was a clean comfortable, cool place to rest overnight. Myself and my partner could feel the springs in all the beds and sunk into each other. We had to pull our camp bed out and sleep on the floor. The shower amenities were so dirty I chose to not shower at all. The mould and hair in the drain made me physically ill. Not to mention the exposed wires right near the water. There is many much nicer places I have stopped and happily spent my money to support the local community of Canarvon as I pass through. This will not be one I return to. Unfortunately due to the bush fire and firies in town I could not secure a hotel room. You can get a much cleaner and comfortable room in Canarvon for $190 a night. Just prepare before you arrive. To the caravan park owners.. your park has alot of potential. Instead of ripping people blind and making them feel dirty and uncomfortable during their stay, show your park some love so we enjoy it and want to come back. Im sure you will feel a little bit better about making your money the hard working honest way.✌
This is a simple caravan park with old but very clean amenities. The sites have a great concrete slab and as well as a maintained grassy area. The staff are friendly and you can stay here for decent price compared to the other parks, so it’s awesome and it’s in a good location too near the Chinaman’s Pool and the Fruit Loop.“Jonique Life”Follow our journey around Australia on Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok and YouTube as we highlight wonderful experiences and magical places you can add to your ever growing bucket list.
Really good campground, owners are helpful, bathrooms are clean with nice showers. We had a lovely campsite under the shade of a tree. We recommend !
Nice park, could do with a bucket & mop left in for people to clean up after the MUD they leave behind. Hand wash & hand blowers, nice park, quiet.
Managers are tops ,only new however if given half a chance they will make the park into a place not to miss. A far cry to the ignorant mongrel who was there previously.
We stayed in one of the onside cabins and the floors were dirty and the shower was full of mould. Its quite run down and neglected.
Like your town depressing and very badly kept...how about running a mower over the grass....and the concrete pads are on the wrong side.....the amenities dated but at least clean.....first impressions leave alot to be desired with the car wreckes at the front gate....maybe the owner needs to open up his wallet and spend some money on the park instead of driving round in his dodge ram...wont be recommending...its a big thumbs down....😔👎
Really enjoyed this camp. Great site. Birds serenade you in the morning. The staff were really welcoming and willing to help
Terrible place. Electricity wasnt working properly, kept shorting out, and blew the element in out hot water system. Couldnt use the power at all so spent a night in a park where we paid, and couldnt use our power 🤬 A rude permanent patron in the park abused us for kicking up dust and making his harlley dusty ?? Dust everywhere , hard to avoid dust. Cover it dude!!!. Managers absolutely no help, and the lady was actually quite rude to us when we complained. Asked for a refund, but never happened. Stay away !!!! Go to Big 4 up the road. Cant do minus 2 stars, but that would be our rating.
New hosts Michelle and Russell, were very helpful with nothing to big of an ask for them when required. Lovely trees and grounds which I believe they are slowly getting back to order after the recent floods. Credit to their efforts in such a short time of them working there. I recommend you stay a day or three and soak up everything this place has to offer....
None of the laundries work, grasshoppers, large cockroaches and very poorly maintained park. Would not stay here again, and will spread the word. Desperately in need of a lot of work, dont think the owner cares at the state of this place. Yes it is relatively cheap ($35per night, but it is grossly overrated and priced for what is being charged.
An favourite haunt if ours when traveling through Carnarvon. Pet friendly and very secure parking especially when we had 2 fully loaded trailers to keep secure. Going above and beyond they made a plan after I booked for the wrong night!
We are regulars here and love this pet- friendly place. I 100% recommend it, especially if you are travelling with your beloved animals. Today, we made a huge mistake with our booking dates, booking for Christmas Day instead of the 26th. Peter, the Manager, moved heaven and Earth to get us and our dogs accommodated, despite being late himself for an appointment, and despite the Park being fully booked. However, he worked his magic and made it happen. The service is out of this world, and I cannot recommend Carnarvon Caravan Park highly enough. One million stars!
Not very good. Someone had taken our allocated spot. Woken up at 6 am by the same people and others. There was no gas for the only BBQ. Two out off 3 fridges were out off order, just sitting there. Then the kicker, we checked another park just down the road and they have beautiful, updated amenities and were charging $10 less per night. Very, very disappointed. Never again.
I dont go to many caravan parks so, maybe Im not fussy? Price was excellent, amenities are clean and functional, washing machine and dryer work and are not overly expensive. Peaceful and quiet park, has a pool but no playground.
Rooms could do with an update.Kitchen curtains do not fully cover the window, henceforth the bright street lights blaze through and a towel had to put up to counter act.The "curtain" across the main door is quite thin and also then the lights from the reception/care taker house shone through.Basic essentials available but some maintenance wouldnt go astray.
Such a great caravan park with lots of character and charm, theres a lovely big pool, lots of shade many toilet/shower blocks. It has everything you could ever need and if you want anything more...then youre too much of a fancy pants! The managment here are all great down to earth people with big hearts ready to lend a helping hand! this is the type of people they areMy partner and I broke down on the side of the road and had to stay in carnarvon for 4 days, here we were very well looked after, supplied with a tent/mattress/pillows/blankets etc. we were even given an entire box of food AND 6 beers to chill out out a bit, management went above and beyond for us and are always seen helping someone out and sorting people out!Defiently pop into Carnarvon Caravan park for some character, shady large caravan spots and an overall good time :)
Friendly staff, prices very reasonable, the park could do with a bit of upgrading but in saying that this may make them more strict on the rules. I have stayed here a few times and definitely recommend it.We only use that caravan park and not the rooms.
Best cheap park we visited. Before judging this place with other parks remember its only a place to lay your head at night. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.
Service was great,Arrived after hours (7:30pmand management were more then happy to hook us up for the night. She was also very helpful giving up tips and tricks to make your road trip as stress free as possible and giving us all the must see site.I highly recommend this caravan park, drive the extra hour you won’t be disappointed.
Hospitality plus.We have recently stayed here for 3 nights and could not be happier. It caters for camping, units and cabins, in spacious grounds with all necessary facilities. The owners bend over backwards to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. Will definitely be back 😀Thank you
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! No good at all. We booked a cabin and got a small site filled with mold on the roof, faulty electrical works, and faulty lights, etc. Most staff were understanding and were willing to help spray some of the spiders that were under the blankets in the beds. Utilities were inadequate. Only one of the female toilets door closed and the other didnt flush properly. Nothing was clean. Absolutely disgusting place. We were placed in the pamelia, which we later found out was where they put the pickers and fishermen. When we went to get a refund, after not sleeping in the cabin for the night and rather sleeping outside, we found out that the employees were not meant to book anyone who is not a fisherman or picker into this specific cabin, due to the condition. The mold alone was dangerous and disgusting, just one of the many reasons why we didnt sleep inside the cabin, especially with kids around. Not only was the site astonishingly disgusting, but the manager tried to justify the problems, making the matter worse for the place. The way the manager tried to justify the problems, made it sound like he was trying to state that the site was acceptable for living, even with kids staying there too. The mattresses were falling apart as well. Not only that but it would be nice if they were replaced after the floods. Instead they were dried out and placed back into the rooms. Pillows are the same brown from surviving the floods, and from being so old. Pillow cases are broken, with spiders all throughout. Spiders were EVERYWHERE! If you dont believe this review, please just ask one person in this town and even they will let you know to get out there quick smart. We also put up a review on the Facebook page for others to voice what happened only to get a rude reply from the owners, calling us names such as a mole, etc. I would definitely not recommend staying at this place!
A unique caravan park, frequently criticized by people who return to it year after year. A lay back, spacious and inexpensive stay a couple of kilometres from the CBD, which is a bit run down with hit and miss cleanliness.
Pretty basic pseudo apartment. Quite grubby and smelly. Mould on ensuite ceiling probably wouldnt be an issue if the exhaust fan worked. If you want to sleep in a low end second hand store, this is the place.
Nice little caravan park. only $30 for a powered site... In peak season. Last night (Wednesdaythey had a sausage sizzle with a country singer to support Royal Flying Doctor Service
This is a great money saver. Friendly reception and Unit is spacious with amenities and a shared yard for all tenants. The only problem i had here is the cleanliness of the bed sheets and noisy airconditioners. My skin was itchy and disrupted sleep because of the aircon noise.
