Carlow Town Park - City park in Cill Chainnigh, Ireland
the best place i have first visted in dublin, you can go for any local restaurant with less than 100 euros per night. you will see greeneries every where. very quite place for living with very amazing Irish Peoples.
Lovely place for a walk and great for families
Was there for Parkrun, really picturesque run along the river bank
Parks as the should be well kept very peacefull a credit to the local authorities well done
Very nice, tidy park
Pleasant place to visit
Lovely local park on the edge of Carlow Town. Kids playground. Nice walk along the River Barrow. Or sit down and watch the swans.
Lovely and neat environment.
Great park for the kids. Lots of places to sit down. Ice cream van was right beside. Fed the swans. Walked around. Small parking area but a great place to visit
Fine park but under utalised. Play area needs an update and badly needs more benches/ tables.like the rest of the town, bins are few and far between. Not a thing has changed, the lack of investment is shocking!!!!
The children enjoyed playing in this park. Theres a hill in the grounds that the children kept running up and down.
Fantastic facility .Super playground for young children.
Great place for your kids.To spend. A few Hours. Big Green Area
Play area for kids could do with a bit of a upgrade its been the same for too long now but kids still love it. The grass area is great to sit and enjoy the weather or even a picnic with the family.
Beautiful park and very well maintained, which also links with the river barrow.
Great support to Carlow Pride and great location too
Its a beautiful spot of Carlow a nice area to unwind and chill, I would recommend anyone to go to the park, its a nice area near the river barrow.
I love this place still after 16 years. I could see trees growing there. Fantastic ☺️
Great park design! Carlow has some really great public open spaces....deserves a parks department
Fabulous place, well maintained.
Small neighborhood park where you can enjoy your morning walk or runIt also has a playground for kids, you can enjoy your coffee in-front of the river and watch the swans 🦢
Lovely park not far from the town centre
Great little park. Can get quite busy at times, but lovely to walk around, see the swans and take small children to the play park. Bonus when theres a Mr. Whippy!
Is beautiful, but is a little dark during the night.
Great little town centre park with good enclosed playground with lovely riverside walk access with lots of swans
Dont bring bread for feeding swans.Alternative:Grains or oatmealCooked vegetablesChopped fruitCorn or peas
Very nice and clean park. Lots of space for kids to run around.
Again beautiful park well kept a credit to the town of both countries but its in laoise no ?
Like Carlow town and especially the park and visiting the brave swans also - always have a blast when I am here
Very beautifulEverything was goodThe great attraction of carlow.A five star!!
Sound beautiful park well maintained park big play ground for the kids . I love 💕 this place the more I visit even on a rainy day to sit sipping a coffee ☕ you losess hours as they roll past Id say more than the one relationship was forged here oh and not forget the many beautiful swans still cant understand why people feed them bread 🍞 when its bad for there health and diet. When they could be feeding them something better . But agree or disagree the town park 🏞️ is jem of Carlow town .
Its a beautiful area but very disappointing to see so many broken beer bottles all over the place. Have to look carefully to find somewhere to sit on the steps to avoid the broken glass.
Great place for a walk around the green area or along the river. The big attraction are swans on the water. There is possibility to go for a boat trip. The contact number for this activity is on one of the boats. For the small children there is a lovely playground very close to the car park.
Beautiful place to bring kids to feed the swans or play in the park kept very clean
We love bringing the children here when we go into town! Racing to the top of the hill, rolly polly back down, off to feed the ducks and swans (and crowsand up to the playground after the children go and see the sunken boats!! On a good day the ice cream van is there for a well deserved treat!!! But the last few visits have been disappointing as littering getting worse each time we visit,(and beer cans dotted around the place), such a shame people cant respect such a beautiful local amenity! ☹
Lovely place to walk part from looking at older young people taking the play area away from the small kids
Such a lovely place!!! You can run, cycle, or just a nice walk with your family. The locals are very friendly as well 👍👍👍
A must visit place in Carlow to watch swans and the sunset. Park is usually bustling with runners and joggers and a great place to breathe in morning air
Good place to spent time with family
Lovely place for a family.
Town park play area was open for everyone to climb on in the middle of a pandemic lockdown. Loads of surfaces to touch with plenty of kids and parents there. No surface cleaning wtc. Not something I thought Id see as I walked to the river.
Its a nice place, one of the few in this little town. You can feed the swans and if you have children, get in the playground. It has a good few green areas to sit when is dry. Theres no public toilet.
This is a well kept park, lovely short walk around it, there is a canal running around it, which has many swans which you can feed, beautiful views. Also has public toilets , gated play ground in the centre for the children, it has free parking on site, its only a short walk from the town centre.
This park is nice and quite. Its very small too. It has the river running alongside, scenic view of the Mount Leinster is a bliss to watch.
This is one of my favorite spots on the river Barrow to just chill out and relax. There are plenty of spots to find under a tree and have a picnic and watch the world go by. Or head over to the rivers edge and feed the swans. There is a fantastic looking playground for kids and judging by its popularity, it is a must for those with kids. If you are in the area, its well worth the visit for some time out.
Older kids ( 15 -19 yearsof agehanging around the park and the playground. Both myself and the young kids ( under 5),felt intimidated. There should be a full-time warden keeping all kids over 10 out of the playground and if any messing starts, remove the offenders from the playground.Families are afraid to bring their children down to the park to enjoy the walks, the playground and feeding the swans & ducks due to the presence of undesirables.
A bit of something for everyone, and plenty of room to roam around. Great views of town from the top of the layer cake. Mind the swans in the river- there are usually dozens. Very limited parking, though easy walking distance from town.
Great place for all the family massive playground for kids. Always very clean. Lots of swans and ducks to feed. And great place to walk your dog. All in all very safe and clean environment to be enjoyed by everyone.
A lovely place to have a nice walk , feed the swans, have little picnic & bring your kids to the park. They need to bring back having a security guard there though. Sometimes rowdy teens there overtaking the swings etc from the little kids, and alcohol bottles & rubbish left behind by adults who leave a mess there that dont respect this lovely park.
Great park for walking around. lovely flowers and view of the town from top of the grassy hill. Also has lovely kids park with slides and swimgs and climbing houses. also lovely place to sit by the waters edge and watch the day drift by
