Caribe Hilton in San Juan

This place has gone way downhill. Ive been a regular here since 2011. Great location, great atmosphere, but this was my stay last week:1. Every morning starting very early, there was construction people drilling or sawing or something thru concrete walls or floors or something. This went on every single morning over a week.2. They close off the beach at 10PM. Why???3. Frozen drinks at the lobby bar basically have no alcohol in them, yet we pay pretty inflated prices.4. Pier is closed for "remodeling" and appears to have been for months, yet nothing has happened.5. They invite these huge companies to have all staff meetings here, which essentially closes off the bars to them since there are hundreds of them. "Normal" customers are ignored.Hilton, I know youre going to probably just reply with a link to send my comments. But can you like give me more than that?

I just came home from my San Juan vacation! My stay at the Caribe was great! The staff was amazing! They were attentive and friendly. My room was clean but the carpet needed to be shampooed and the air conditioner was so loud, it needs to be updated. Otherwise than that it would have been perfect. I will be back! Oh and the swimming pools was everything!

Be careful when you decide to stay at this hotel resort. Extremely pricy compared to other hotel chains around the world. The place is slightly outdated and they do not clean up the massive amounts of seaweed. This in turns makes the pool area extremely congested and sometimes inaccessible. I complained about the seaweed and they stated that they clean it up every morning. I decided to take pictures to see if this was true during my long stay. They were not cleaning up the seaweed at all. Ive had better experiences at other hotels that had a seaweed issue. They would actually clean it up every day. I would not be staying here again.

The Caribe Hilton is a great place to stay. The buffet breakfast was wonderful and the service way great especially the guy that mans the omelet/waffle station super friendly and polite. Of all the restaurants there, I enjoyed Mojitos the most. The food there is really good and I dont think people realize it is there. We went 4 nights out of the 5 nights we were there. The young girl that works there is the best, she did a great job every night we had her as our server. The 1 night we had someone else, it wasnt as great as far as service goes, but the food/ drinks were still on point. The atmosphere of the hotel overall was friendly, helpful, and clean.

Getaway trip to PR...the Hilton Caribe did not disappoint! The staff made our stay so wonderful. They were very accommodating. The rooms are a great size and oh, the amenities! If you didnt leave to explore the island, youd find lots to do at the hotel! I would definitely recommend 👌Ive added some views from the room/balcony

Amazing location and beautiful hotel! The bed was very comfortable, and the room was quite clean. All the staff were very courteous and helpful. My only complaints are that the front desk said she’d “set me up with a view” which ended up being the parking lot, and that my AC could not keep up. Had mine set to 69, but the temp never dropped below 74. It was only one night, so I didn’t bother asking to move rooms.

The hotel accommodations were clean and nice. The view from the room was absolutely gorgeous! The amenities and restaurants were easily accessible and a nice quality. The pools were heated which were nice and the beach area was very beautiful and relaxing. House keeping was very accommodating as I asked for extra blankets and also unexpectedly started my menstrual cycle early late at night. I called housekeeping hoping they had sanitary napkins and they brought some up to my room right away. I highly appreciated this.The hotel is very close to old San Juan which was nice we got to visit there several times. It has a private beach but is also very close to a public beach as well. You can drive if you have a car or ride scooters which is a lot more pricey.The only negatives were having to pay for 24 hour parking for each day of the hotel stay for my car rental. I would’ve expected that would have been included since I booked for the week to stay. The hot tubs were more lukewarm than hot and only one of the two had Jets. They have a basketball hoop in one of the pools but we were advised to purchase a basketball in order to play with the hoop in the pool. I thought that was strange. The restaurants in the hotel were pricey but that was expected.Overall, I would love to stay again. A pleasant experience

My wife and I were just in PR for 6 days and stayed at the Caribe Hilton. In full disclosure it is a beautiful resort. The open air lobby is pretty and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from if you want to enjoy a day the resort. Awesome beach and lagoon. But……our room was very underwhelming and kinda gross. The carpets were old, stained, and had a funky smell. The balcony had old furniture and the tile was breaking. The bathroom didn’t have a vent (so everyone could hear everythingand it was a sliding door that had no lock and large gaps to where you could see into the bathroom when the door was “covering” the doorway. And the bathroom itself was pretty dingy with pretty much no hot water the entire time we were there. The pool was nice on the surface, but there were broken tiles all over the place. And the big pads around the pool to lay on were so gross and stained. And for atleast a month, before the trip, we tried to call the Spa, leave voice-messages, and fill out a service card online for them to reach out to us, and nobody EVER got back to us. But when we were there, there was always multiple front desk assistants, so I’m very confused why no one cared to get back to us. So glad we didn’t waste money at the spa. Honestly, it was a pretty okay place to stay and we were incredibly thankful that our company paid for the hotel cause we probably would have been asking for some of daily fees back due to the poor upkeep of the room and facilities.

This hotel was awesome! The perfect resort to end our PR trip. 3 pools, swim up bar, hammocks on the sand, private beach area and beautiful water views. They even had some fun entertainment one night for the kids, a playground, yummy restaurants and a Starbucks!

A very impressive private beach and multi-pool set up. So many sun chair / lounge / hammock options to choose from. We loved the bar by the pool as well. Friendly staff guarding entrance - quick and easy check in!Very modern rooms. The bed, pillows and blanket were great quality - loved sinking into it each night and difficult getting up.Balcony room was an amazing treat- sleeping and napping with the door open and hearing the ocean waves crashing below. Stunning views!Would certainly return and stay again.

Very nice pool and private beach. We arrived on Saturday and there was live entertainment, that was a plus. We are leaving Thursday and there are no other nights with anything to do at the hotel. We brought our 8 and 6 year old so we can’t really go clubbing. We thought there would at least be music in the lobby or music outside past 9:00. Why can’t there be anything (dj, music, kid activities, anything past 8:00. I felt like I had a curfew on vacation. With all the space available and different rooms here, you can’t provide anything? My vacation is just at important as people who book a weekend? Let’s get to the room, why am I paying 300 plus for a room that the tub backs up? The furniture is way outdated, and the hallway stinks. Again, the outside daytime is great. The employees are great. Just step your game up please. Especially for the price. Oh, I’m paying for parking everyday? Really!

I will start off with the only things that stop this form being the great hotel ever. 1the rooms: they are dated and probably need to be updated soon. The views from the rooms are breathe taking. 2Diamond status: there is no more lounge even though it’s still advertised. You only get two free continental breakfast per room instead of how many guest you have (we have 3 total). The use to do a social to make up for the lounge but that seems to have gone away. You use to get diamond wrist bands at the pool that got you discount on rentals and such. Plus status is always cool. They only give you one 15 dollar food credit instead of one per guest like the Hilton village in Waikiki and other Hilton resorts do. Now the great: the amenities are amazing. The staff is absolutely incredible and friendly. The pool bar team is incredible. Hiram is a master mixologist out there and as someone who has had drinks on 4 continents… no one does it better than him. If you stay here you will love it.

Upon arrival, it is beautiful. They have great amenities on site including a few restaurant options and a beautiful pool area. All of the outwardly amenities are presented so well. However, my room was over $400 a night and it was not worth it. There was only one set of elevators off of the main lobby. The paint was peeling off of all of the room doors in the hallway. The bathtub had large peeling finishes and was backing up dirty water. The blow dryer did not work, we had to wait almost 40 minutes for the working replacement. There were ants on the night stand between the beds and where the coffee pot was kept. We did not eat in the room and only drank from the water bottles given at the beginning of our stay. Nonetheless, the ants were thriving. Lastly, the breakfast room had leaking ceilings with obvious unattended water damage and some of the sliced fruit was mushy/not fresh tasting. We were on vacation with many plans to see sights around the island and did not have time to speak with management while there. Again, the property presents beautifully and the staff was so friendly! However, for what was charged, we expected the rooms to present just as well.

Everything you ever want in a vacation all in one place. Beautiful views, gorgeous beaches, amazing pools including poolside bars, several different restaurants on one property. Some of the restaurants were a little pricey but all of the staff provided great customer service and was very accommodating. The rooms were immaculate and very spacious. The decor was amazing. It was definitely a great experience for me.

My husband and I enjoyed our recent stay at the Caribe Hilton. I was intrigued to stay there after watching the footage from “Married at First Sight.” The room was spacious, although could probably use some new carpet. The clock didn’t work, so we had to have our phones next to us. These few inconveniences didn’t have an impact on our trip. We celebrated our mutual birthday and were treated to a free drink each! The restaurants in the resort were great, especially Morton’s! We ate there twice. The resort has a nice vibe to it and we’re hoping to come back next year! Thanks, Caribe Hilton!

On February 24, 2022, I bought a package for the Tropical Music Festival at the Caribe Hilton of SJ, Puerto Rico, from April 26 through May 2, 2022. I planned to enjoy my Island and salsa music. I trusted the renowned name of the Caribe Hilton of San Juan, Puerto Rico and the San Juan Marriott Resort, and the Coca-Cola Music Hall as hosts and or sponsors of this event. Unfortunately, these groups/companies: The Tropical Music Production, Joseph Paniagua Productions, and 21 Events Inc., never sent me my tickets for the party at the Marriott and the tickets for the concert at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in advance. In addition, they sold me and did not honor my payment for a VIP table. I have the receipts.These groups never showed up at the Caribe Hilton lobby to distribute a package with the tickets for the party at the Marriott and the concert at the Coca-Cola Music Hall. The Caribe Hilton representatives at the lobby/help desk kept saying they did not know of the whereabouts of the Tropical Music Festival representatives or any package for us. We trusted your name behind this event to enjoy a vacation. The Hilton should have a system to respond to this behavior from this company because it only damages its reputation. The hotel is one of my favorites, and I also invited my friends and my sister to stay there. The service at breakfast and the beach is good.

I went to the Caribe Hilton to celebrate my birthday.My room was exceptionally clean and so was the hotel. The staff was great and breakfast was wonderful and the grounds were beautiful. I’ve visited the spa twice and really enjoyed my services. I will definitely stay at this hotel again when I travel to Puerto Rico. This was a solo trip to gain some peace and serenity and I felt very safe and sound in the hotel and everything was available to my liking. Yes I gave a four out of five and that is only because there’s always room for improvement.

This hotel is massive. The architectural design is mind blowing. It has a private beach. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious. Customer service is amazing. So much fun things to do around. Please visit this hotel as it is highly very recommended.

Great location. Good service. Nice people. When we got the upgrade we did not get what we expected so wish we stayed in our original room.The place is great so that you never need to leave the hotel. All the food in each restaurant was very good. Service was good not great, but over all a 4 star isnt to bad. The beach and the setting was near perfect. Well be back.

We had a wonderful stay here! Service was phenomenal. Staff were so friendly and accommodating! Although we didnt have a recently renovated room, it was clean and well kept. Food from all the on property restaurants was great. Drink service beachside was awesome. Housekeeping staff were wonderful and efficient. Breakfast selection was impressive. No need to leave the resort, plenty to do or just relax in the sun. Im not sure why people didnt enjoy their stay. I honestly cant think of one complaint.

Beautiful resort. Great on-site shopping and restaurants. Awesome beach, lots of activities for families. Clean property and facilities. My only issue is it is so beyond expensive. Compared to comparable resorts on the same strip, its really high... Theres tons of hidden fees, so watch your receipts before signing on the dotted line. Other than that, beautiful resort.
