1255 Avenida Juan Ponce de León, San Juan, 00907, Puerto Rico, San Juan
1,000-seat Art Moderne-style theater built in 1939 by Thomas W. Lamb as a MGM showcase.
Wonderful comfortable pleasant staff great prices! And clean
Newly updated seating, sound and screening sure do enhance this classic theater. I always love coming here. The staff..the ticket sellers, takers, security and the concession people give this place a heart...and distinguish it from other newer venues. Something sentimental about coming here, even looking for a parking spot on the street. If you dont drive, its one of the few that has a bus stop in front of its main entrance. I love the place.
Clean and great customer service!
Loved it. Staff is incredibly nice and helpful
Newly renovated, comfortable reclining seats, and it seems like the theatre isnt ever too packed.
Just left there after seeing top gun Maverick the remodeling job is fantastic the chairs are super comfortable recliners
Best cinema experience , better if take last movie time , you’ll feel like home theater🎭
Theater is in good condition, food service to slow. But regardless of that the Theater is nice
VIO recliner seats, super comfy. Dolby surround sound 7.1 and quality projevtion screens.
Super Comfy, lots of legs space , watch the movie basically like on a bed, perfect if you have a baby they can lie on you and the price is like any other Cinema for a better experience. The only downside is either getting lucky and finding a parking on the street or just paying for a Valet.
Nice atmosfere and comfortable seats. Fair price excellent service.
The absolute best chairs in any movie theater ever!!! The servers at the counter were very helpful and cheerful, too.
Loved its renovation. Comfortable and you still have social distance
Went to the Metro theatre to experience the Met Opera. Plush seating, but the scheduled eve t was cancelled due to technical issues.
Nice cozy cinema, literally put your legs up and watch your favorite movie!
Very clean, cozy, modernized multiplex. The only downside is that each theater is kinda small, nice if its not crowded.
Reclining seats, impeccably clean, super nice staff, highly recommend it on your next Puerto Rico trip
Excellent cinema experience. First visit here and it was great. Love the seats and sound system.
Went to watch Mortal Kombat, lovely cinema, comfy seats, and best of all beer and wine!
Temperature protocol at entrance. Very low in personel because of the pandemic and lack of clientel. Still, they should know better. Rooms are remodeled with confy chairs. Excellent upgrade.
Small cinema but really nice! Comfortable seats + nice staff. Take Safety measurements during the pandemic and you can choose where to sit. (Every seat is 6ft away from other visitors)
They show first run movies, mostly with an English sound track, but with Spanish subtitles. The theater seating consists of large reclining seats. The concession stand has the typical selection, but is not excessive overpriced. But beware - the AC works really well, so you will want to have a jacket (or blanket or firewood to build a campfirewith you as it will start to get chilly about halfway through the film.
Newly renovated with large reclining seats and snack tables. Offers beer and sandwiches along with the normal snacks for purchase. Very comfortable, definitely would return.
Lovely art deco era cinema that has been modernized and runs first run movies each for about a two week period. Take a blanket though, because it is as cold as a witches nipple.
Very neat, clean, organized. Their chairs are very comfortable. We Enjoy our experience !
Very friendly, safe place where everybody is extremely nice and you have fun. The movie was OK too.
Is outdated but overall if you want to see a brand new movie without the hassle of a big crowd this is a great theater for that not gonna give five stars cause parking can be a bit of trouble unless you want to pay $4 in the private parking thats nearby still is a great place to catch a movie.
Everyone complains about it because its small and they dont like it because its not located inside a mall but I find it extravagant. Its never crowded, prices are much better than thr cinemas at the mall and its comfortable.
Smaller than your average theater but usually doesnt get overcrowded like other locations. Great if you want to see a new release with less traffic.
Nothing fancy, nice low key theater with reasonable prices. Might get a power outage during a movie but it adds to the experience.
Pretty nice experience, actually! Too bad the back of the seat was a bit broken/wobbly, and, as usual, parking was an issue, but, other than that, it was pretty nice.
My wife and I decided to go watch a movie during a rainy afternoon, it was actually late at night :-), and were pleasantly surprised. Customer service was great, snacks and goodies were as expected, Place was pretty clean and the seating was very comfortable. Now the movie we watched was a local movie made by mostly Puerto Rican actors and it was absolutely funny and great. We had a wonderful time. Would highly recommend
If you just want a no frills theater to go watch your movie in peace, this is the place. Tickets are cheaper than the other theaters, but thats because it doesnt offer all the new goodies like 4D, etc., that newer theaters offer. Best place to watch blockbusters without having to worry about the show being sold out. It really is a hidden gem.
Lovely little theatre. Never very crowded, quiet patrons and good location. Nice selection of snacks and food. Even beer and wine available.
Might be old lieu and just about a year ago after a hurricane hit the island tho, but some investment to restore and refurbish wont hurt anybody, actually will enhance the experience for the visitors. The seats are crooked, bathrooms definitely need some care! The fact that they keep the old fashion ticket vending method its kinna nice for me tho, but people is everyday more high tech! Come on this is a prime location in a tourist zone!
Went in to watch Black Panther and I was so delighted to not have to wait to purchase my ticket or food. The showroom wasnt crowded at all. Great experience.
The only bad thing about this theater is that it is small. I suggest the last seats close to the doorway.Aside from that, its great. Its SPOTLESS, cheap, and they sell alcohol. What else could you want?I cant comment on the popcorn because we didnt get any, but the nachos were good. The seats are comfortable and recline back a lot.Theres a girl that goes around taking orders once youve sat. No need to miss the previews nor the movie. The sound system is on the loud side so do wear earplugs if you have sensitive hearing. Had I known, I wouldve.I highly recommend this theater if you are in the area.
The movies was nice, clean, and affordable. Prices were amazing low compared to New York. 2 tickets were about $12. A large popcorn and 2 sodas were around $9. I watched it, in English with Spanish subtitles. It was cool.
Ok this is one or the most older Cinema in San Juan. I like it here because is clean and Small. I remember my first time going to a cinema in PR was this one. Thats exactly what you can feel here because it maintain the old look and is nice to feel that youre going back in time to 2000 PR days.
Clean is the first thing that comes to mind, friendly atmosphere surprisingly nice theatre. Nice concession stand and the sell beer. Cant say anything bad about this place.
Love it. She compared to the mall theatre large and rowdy crowds, this small, local movie theatre is relatively quiet, even though it is located in the heart of the city residential area.
Theatre was very clean and well maintained. Went to see pirates of the carribean 5 and had a wonderful experience. Would recommend to anyone. And you can buy tickets online!
Been going there since the 60s. Good prices. Nearby parking lots. Bit dangerous outside after .midnight. big screens and rooms. Usually not crowded. Lots of fast food nearby. Clean and well maintained.
Very romantic. An instant remember of 70s and 80s. Always clean, quiet and place in the middle of a hillarous cultural area.
The theater is beyond dated, but surprisingly clean and the service is good. Great place to catch a flick in the Condado, Miramar, Santuce areas.
Great place, one of the oldest movie theater in PR still working with modern projection screen technology. NO PARKING at least, no free parking and you have to walk to the nearest.
Charming old 3 screen cinema. Good sized screens and awesome sound system. Good variety of snacks and drinks. Just a crying baby in our movie that they did nothing about kept them from 5 stars.
Small theater, but very big auditorium, soft chairs, very comfy. only thing is they only accept cash, so be prepared for that. I was really impressed by their snack bar, they had burritos, cake , pastries, and all sorts of REAL food
Went here for the Met Opera. Too pricey... $25 per person. Good for one time. Food attendant was rude. Bought a hot dog. The picture had cheese on it, but she did not want to honor it. Not worth the fight
Convenient, clean, respectable theater. Not the most luxurious, but I loved they were playing an obscure selection from the Queer Film Festival next to a mainstream selection (Thor), and the crowds seemed comfortable to be mixed. Its a pleasant walk from Condado, although pedestrian crossings are not all perfectly marked.
