Cargills Food City. in Batticaloa

This place is good for all type of purchasing. Even you can buy medicines also. Some of the Cargills food city provides alcohol but here when I visited I didnt see anything like that. The parking facility also good. There is more space to park all type of vehicles. This economical crisis time I usually see empty or half filled cooler with ice cream cones.

Very small outlet compared to other Cargils food cities. However, staff are very helpful.

Im a continuous customer here. Comparing to the past the display is beautiful, and its full of course, and veggies are fresh and most of all the staff are friendly and helpful. Always, Always with a smile 😊 and ready to help. Keep up guys your good work. Im sure you got a good team leader the person behind the screen, credits goes to you Sir 😁 cause in the past I didnt like the place cause the floor was dirty, untiedy, and few times even the meat I purchased was bad, the ice cream was melted, most of all it was stinking like a bat tunnel.But now they are no more and thats the reason I mentioned best place. And even my friends too has a positive attitude now after the vast changes. So I do recommend this place. And I wish good luck to team leader and staff for your grate work. .

Busy place, two counters are there but mostly only one they are using. Here You can buy liquor also.

There are so many discounts for loyalty customers and promotions for leading bank credit and debit cards

Very bad customer support. Customer service is very bad and rude. I sent my brother to buy some vegetables. But they send him back. Coz he cant use my credit card.I said them. If he bought something illegal or no related his age products. You can send him back. But he was just bought a vegetables and they are all know me well. I buy all products in food city from past 7 years. But they did this finally to me and when I asked them. They were so rude to me. I will never ever go back. I stopped buying from them.

There are 2 Cargills food city in Batticaloa. One is in Puliyanthivu. It is located in front of main bus stand. Its quite big food city. You can get groceries at reasonable price. And also stationaries items you can get here. Paying bills such as dialog mobitel and other networks, and water bill, electricity bill can be done here

All under one roof and veggies are fresh and you can get groceries diaries and fish and and meat.

Be careful when you purchase something from this place.Because what happened was, on 15th September 2020, my mom (72 years olddid shopping. She bought Sustacal, she supposed to get cash discount amounting 249/= for that product.Though she mentioned to cashier several times they said there is no discount for that, that discount was over, when I check her bill it printed as "isocal", but the product she bought is "Sustacal".Products is correct but in the bill is wrong as a result price is totally different and no discount too.There is no point of apologise and asked to bring the bill and product for your mistake. Because your discount is just Rs. 249 and our transport cost is Rs. 400. Its not only cost effective also inconvenient for senior citizen.Give proper training to your cashiers/staffs.
