Caravan und Camping Park - in Sionainn, Ireland
Great campsite and will definitely be back. Nice pitches, not the most level though. Plenty of taps. Stable power supply and did not trip at all. Playground was very popular with the kids and there is a coffee shop with loads of picnic tables overlooking it which is great for parents. Loads of lovely walks around the woods and the nearby park and house. Be careful that Google maps does not send you the wrong way though. Keypad for the campsite is hard to see at the lifting barrier but dont pay the 5 euro, have a good look at youll see it!
Meh. No code sent to get into the camp . 18 phone calls later and an email sent i eventually got the code to get in. Have been to plenty of campsites. This was the noisiest place ever. Given that its in the middle of the forest you would expect peace and quiet. All we heard all day was dogs barking all day on and off and apparently the policy is dogs can bark all day until 11 pm at night. Noise ongoing then until after 1.30am when a policy of 11pm noise curfew. Wont be returning on this basis. 2 stars given for the onsite playground that my children loved. However if you plan to just go to the forest, absolutely beautiful forest, lovely cycles and walks and some beautiful scenery and a small cafe and nice playground in the middle of the forest.
Great location, campsite and staff. Facilities were clean, but a little dated. The kids loved this location, the bus, playground and cycle tracks.
Really great facility. Super friendly staff.
Beautiful campsite. Very peaceful at night and lively by day.
We have adequate some fabulous memories here in the playground. Always a pleasure to o here my son loves it so much to do.
Great setup in a beautiful location, brilliant place, great for families
Cleanliness in womens bathroom to be improved. Broken sink in kitchen. No hot water in the shower. Far too expensive rate for dryer. Great arboretum. I do not recommend the caravan park.
Such a beautiful camping site in a middle of a forest.Great facilities. After one night feels like home.Make sure you walk through all paths and enjoy nature.Small coffee shop on site.Kitchen with fridge available for campers (with limited capacity).A little tricky at the entrance gate to find the code panel (otherwise youll pay an extra €5).
Excellent park so much to do for the outdoors type.Do not miss the turnoff the n69 as the other road and Google maps send you to the other side of the forest giving lots of squeeky bum time trying to turn back...
I was met at reception by a young lady with a friendly smile that would cheer any body up for their brake away from home. Camp site well mentained lovely setting in a forest area shop on site lovely toilets., showers and kitchen very clean, will recommend to anyone also will be back.
Fabulous site for motorhomes nestled in the trees. Site Only let down by the conditions of the facilities block.
Great campsite. Bring bikes great forest walks, playground, double decker bus with slide from top .. kids were a bit disappointed no movies this year on the bus but they had lots of fun regardless.
Had a really lovely experience in Curraghchase. The setting is beautiful and very well maintained. The staff were kind, friendly and helpful. The campers kitchen and toilet/shower facilities are basic but clean. Cafe on site. Loads of picnic tables set up next to facilities and play area. Beautiful walks through the forest to enjoy. Highly recommend 👍
I stayed at the Curragh Chase caravan park several times with my motorhome, I was very impressed with the site and owner Warren. When I first called there he greeted me and my wife with warmth as if he knew us and made us very welcome. The showers are free with plenty of hot water and the toilets are kept very clean. I would recommend this site as it caters for everyone, weather you want woodland walks or just to relax in the tranquil surroundings, you can watch the red squirrel or the Irish hare playing in the evenings, there is also abundant of wild birds to watch and listen too, there are also plenty of wild flowers and unusual specimens of trees. There is excellent food and drinks in the Devere cafe on the site. I would highly recommend this site.
Highly recommended, lovely peaceful spot, very friendly manager and staff. Will definitely be back! Thank you!
Beautiful place to get in your steps love being there its my heaven 💕
The staff were nice, but the manager was really passive aggressive and rude.
This little piece of heaven here in Co Limerick is everything you need and more for a camping and caravan experience
A fantastic and well run site. An absolute gem of a place. Every thing you need is on site. Will return again
Spent 2 days at Curragh Chase Caravan And Camping Park and we loved every minute of it. The campsite is a haven for nature lovers with its orchestra of birds singing. The walks were fantastic and a beautiful fairy village near the childrens play area a must see for the children and adults. The facilities at Curragh Chase are excellent and Warren the owner is a great guy full of info and very helpful catering for all your needs. If he does not know how to help he will find out for you, great bloke. I would highly recommend this campsite for nature lovers, families and for the general camper. Will defo be going back with the grand children.
What a stunning place I’m staying here for the first week of our honeymoon spotless clean lovely walks in the grounds will definitely be back
Love this place we have been to a lot of campsite in Ireland we give Curraghchase 5 🎉🎉stars and more..Best campsite in Ireland congrats to the guys running this site great job..Lots to do and our kids has a ball everytime..4th time coming here in the 2 years cant get enough.👍👍 Family of 2 adults 3 kids one dog..
Very good. Lots to do, bring a mountain bike. The tent area is good but be prepared to pitch on a sloping area if its busy.
Really lovely campsite. Peaceful yet always a buzz around the place. Lovely walks & cycle tracks. Definitely going back next year 👍
Nice caravan site with some camping pitches. We were a family of 4 with 2 young kids and loved it there. There is lots to roam around, cycle and walk. The campers kitchen is good, has some hot water, lots of soap, microwave and kettle. two fridges where there is almost always enough space which is great.I would say the following though-The pitches are large enough but it still felt a bit cramped. You still have to step over tent-securing-lines all the time.Facilities are not kept tidy at all. The toilets barely flush and the floor was cleaned just once in the 3 days we were there. Showers are closed due to Covid.Dogs! many dogs, some on a lead and some not. Barking on and off.Lastly, the curfew is not enforced at all. There was noise well after 12, some teenagers singing and clapping after midnight.
Great place for walks will see a lot of birds squirrel, lovely Autumn colours very peaceful and quiet with all thats going on at moment great time out
Great place to go camping with the family 🏕 If your dog is good around other dogs and other people it would be the perfect place to bring it 🐕 Great cafe / restaurant that do a great soup 🥣 Fabulous bus with artificial grass on it 😍 Highly recommend that everyone visits ‼️👍🏻
2 night stay, very relaxed setting, friendly staff, lovely forest trails, will stay here again for sure👍
Myself and my son and daughter stayed here a number of nights while we were camping in a camper. We used it as a base to see many sites in the area and along that stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way.The setting is perfect for a family camping site or if you want peace and quiet. The layout is very good so you have a choice. The facilities are excellent with everything you need on site. The owner who operates the site could not be more pleasant and he and the staff are very helpful and friendly. One of the best campsites in Ireland for sure.It is worth spending time walking the forest trails and parkland and the original Curraghchase House, very impressive.
Beautiful spot amazing walks just a lovely setting. Very quiet especially at night so you get a good nights sleep.
My wife and I go here quite a lot with our 3 energetic kids and love the place, lovely walks to the old historic estate , and the playground is perfect to keep the kids entertained, look Forward to our next visit
My kids absolutely loved it! even the rain did not obstruct their enjoyment of the playground here. The big green bus, is a great addition, and the coffee shop a nice touch. This place can only get better, and has huge potential, and is deserving of some local support. If youre the typical parent looking to get your kids active and off their i-pads, take them here, they will thank you for it, and want you to bring them back again! A great day out, and quality time with your kids. For visitors, its the perfect stay over holiday spot, for tenting or Camper vans. Suggest some permanent Glamping type Pods, or similar, not all of us have a camper van!! And im done with damp tents. But I would consider staying here with my kids if the accommodation was more tempting and a few scheduled activities for kids, and im local!!
Tucked away in the woods lies a hidden gem you probably never knew existed. This picturesque camping area is surrounded by an incredible forest where youll find scenic trails and plenty of beautiful sites to see and things to do. We were welcomed by Warren who is a great and cheerful host. Good facilities, including hot showers and equipped kitchen. Even though the weather did not cooperate, we still managed to have fun. Ill definitely be back, hopefully with more time. Highly recommended
Stayed here in a tent with four boys aged 8, 9 10 & 11 for the August Bank Holiday weekend. Arrived Friday for 3 nights, it is so nice and peaceful stayed a 4th night. We did travel with two other families (children ranged in ages from 6 to 14We brought bicycles and I honestly thought I went camping on my own, only saw the boys for meals and drinks. The campsite is situated in the woods and is totally safe for kids to explore. Facilities include free showers that are very clean and very hot, campers kitchen which has two fridges one freezer and one ice box, washing machine and dryer(both require €1 coins to operate). Staff are so helpful and friendly and you will get the best coffee and brownies in the cafe. There is a small playground beside the cafe for u7s and a cinema (yes I said cinemain a converted double decker bus .... It was a very busy bank holiday weekend with all pitches full but there was no feeling of overcrowding. Everyone onsite was so relaxed and happy and I think this is down to Happy children due to the freedom they have and the way it is all run.... Nothing is too much trouble. Hard stands for caravans and mobile homes are all under trees which makes them very quiet and peaceful. You will need to make a booking to get the access code for the barrier at the woods entrance. The large playground and picnic area in front of DeVerve House is a public amenity and there are some beautiful trails through the woods here for cyclists or walkers. Dogs are welcome on campsite but must be on leads.
Lovely location, just not that easy to find or access. Being able to call from the gate, to save having to pay the entrance fee to the park, and talk to a person, would improve the booking in experience. Very conscientious staff who made me a coffee because Id had to wait. Busy site but loads of space between the bays so it didnt feel busy.
Staff was very friendly and knowledgable of the area. Well wooded campsite...The spaces were plenty big enough, showers were hot, shower area was clean (it is a campsite, not a hotel remember)...had a great cup of coffee the next morning in the small cafe. Had a walk around the Curraghhouse grounds, a worker explained a little of the history. Would have stayed another night.
Perfect for kids, very safe and friendly, easy going layout and everything you need is there.Hot showers, clean kitchen, playground where the kids can meet up.We will be back soon.
Very nice location in the middle of the woods. Clean campsite and friendly people. Sanitary facilities are free, but don’t seem very hygienic. Also, we received a code for the barrier at the entrance of the forrest, which was wrong, so we got a bit stuck. We called them though and were helped swiftly.
We stayed here for two nights. Wonderful experience,so peaceful, marvellous refreshing forest walks.Cafe is lovely,so clean. Excellent onsite facilities and a welcome 11pm curfew, dogs allowed on leads.Damien and Warren were exceptional hosts
Nice place, very clean, great surroundings in the woods. Washing machine and dryer for free, though only one and one. Warren does a lot of loving stuff for the kids, especially the Fairy Trail, so simple, but with so much love - the kids absolutely loved it!
We stayed here a few weeks ago and pitched up a 2 man tent. The location is in an amazing forest setting with lovely walks. The facilities are great and I would highly recommend staying here.
Cafe is closed, except on weekends, no Wi-Fi, amenities although old are being upgraded, washers & dryers are free, people are very friendly. The walks could do with better signage or there could be some detailed maps. We did enjoy the environment and serenity.
What a place , forrest , lakes , silence and nature . The guy warren that owns this place is fantastic and the girls that work for him. There is a cafe , kids playground, fairy trail , kitchen , good showers .
Have stayed here a few times now in our tent. The site is getting better each year. The owner is a gent very friendly. The coffee shop on site has cakes and drinks. The campers kitchen is basic but works. The only thing missing is ehu for tents
This is the best caravan campground that we stayed at in Ireland. The facilities are lovely and well maintained. Very clean and comfortable. Really nice showers and bathrooms. The walks through the Forest Park are the icing on the cake here. A full package deal. We received a lovely warm welcome too and were made to feel very comfortable.
We enjoyed 6 nights at Curragh Chase in our caravan and would highly recommend it. As others have said, Warren was very friendly and helpful, providing maps of the area and tips for days out. The facilities were clean and tidy, pitches level with a drain on each pitch, electric point and a large number of water taps throughout the site. The forest and walking tracks are an added bonus, great site.
Silent and decent campground in the middle of some nature. Good tip with the whole family. At daytime it has a public function. But the campground seems to come along nicely.Few tent spaces with power connection, showers for gents could use an update like the ladies have got.
Great site amongst the trees for tents and motorhomes. Being able to explore the grounds of the old house were an added bonus.Arrived with a 10 and 13 yr old, who needed much persuasion to leave.Warren, the proprietor, gave us a warm and friendly welcome.
Really nice clean park. Came with an 8, 6 and 4 year old loads of tracks for walking & cycling large green for a kick around. Just a short walk to a lovely playground. Great base for exploring limerick.
