Capuciner in Zagreb

Great.Delitious and cozy.Very good service.Prices are above the average in my opinion.The restaurant is a little bit "deep" in the yard next to the pizzeria. From first sight, you cannot tell that such a good place is omewhere there behind the building.Try it, taste it, it is very nice.Enjoy.

The best restaurant in Zagreb for me. Its not so hyped, but i went there already 4 times and every single time the food is Amazing. Doesn’t matter what you order. The truffle steak 🔥

There are two different restaurants both belonging to Capuciner. A pizzeria and a grill. We went to the latter.Terrific food. We were in the mood for a meat only dinner and Capuciner absolutely delivered. Meat dishes grilled in the Josper grill taste simply amazing. The outside terrace is nice. Staff is friendly and knows what they’re doing.

Asked for a steak medium rare, received it rare. Some employees spilled mushroom sauce over me and didnt apologize or whatsoever. Price was decent, but all over not too happy

It was a terrible experience. The food was good, but the waiter was very arrogant. Literally a jerk… They not even serve to me, what I ordered and when I told the waiter about the mistake, his respond was just “It’s okay”. I don’t understand why people work as a waiter, if they hate people, because I am sure, that this guy hates them. I DO NOT recommend this place!

I went with my girlfriend to have a nice dinner and spend a good time together. What we got: the food was ok but the waiter was extremely unfriendly and made me feel very uncomfortable. He was very rude. I DO NOT recommend this restaurant anyone.

Such a great restaurant! Weve been to both parts (one is a pizzeria/pasta on one side and a steakhouse on the other). We most recently went to the steakhouse to celebrate our engagement earlier that day, and Im so glad we did. The service is VERY high class, the wine list is wonderful, and the food is excellent. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice romantic dinner or to celebrate an important life event (or just to fine dine).

When it comes to pasta, the restaurant is average at most. Pasta needs more salt and it basically tastes like nothing. Not recommended for pasta

Worst restaurant ever. The waiter was extremely unfriendly and made me feel very uncomfortable. The salmon was ok but the cevape weren’t edible, raw inside and not seasoned at all. Couldn’t finish it and left hungry. I would recommend going somewhere else.

This place is incredible. The food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. But what made our experience better was the waiter, he was so friendly and smiley, and he exceeded our expectations. I couldn’t recommend this place more.

The price is good and the food also, but I expected a little bit more flavour. The local wine they offer is interesting.

Really tasty food, great menu selection (steak, noodles, burgers, fajitas,etcand not expensive compared to other Zagreb restaurants.

We took 4 different pasta dishes, and they were served in ~5 minutes which was super quick, but the taste was terrible. Bland, odorless and pale sauce, and the meat/fish was barely to be found in the dish. The house wine also tasted badly.

Mediteranian salat is something that you shouldnt order by any chance. Rice is not cooked enough, vagetables and shrimps are defrost without any taste and seasoning.

Amazing food with in very good prices!

Friendly and fast service. We ordered grilled squid and Caesar salat. We got fairly big portions of both. Squid was tasty, very oily, served with boiled potatoes and kale. Salad was tasty, however there was a huge amount of dressing. We didn’t know the price of wine before we paid (in the end it was more expensive than meal itself). Overall it was a good experience and tasty food. Recommend!

I tried Capuciner many times.I tried both restaurants: Grill and Pizza/Pasta.Both serve tasty food and big portions.Recommended!

Food is overall very delicious here, in a higher price range as it is located near the Catedral. Grill is very good, but this time I took chimichanga and it was nice and tasty.The service is okayish, sometimes they make jokes with you, other times they are cold (Ive been here around 10 timesso you never know who will come.Nevertheless, food is delicious and I think you should come and try it. If it is your first and only time, focus on grill food.Hope this review is helpful! :)

Great place. The service is amazing, the food is quick and tasty, but it was a bit pricy.

The food is actually decent, good portion sizes, and affordable prices. However the service is rushed and borderline rude. Also they brought a small beer and charged a large one. Youll easily find better places to eat in Zagreb.

The food, service and atmosphere was excellent. My friends and I all went for various steak selections and all were cooked perfectly, the Black Angus premium in particular.Everything ordered came out in good time and all cooked beautifully. Our server was extremely helpful and very friendly, helping us to remember Thank You in Croatian.Would definitely go back and would recommend to all, especially those who enjoy a steak.

Delicious food, great atmosphere, warm welcome from the staff, good price. Lots of choice on the menu. Our waiter was friendly and welcoming. This is a hidden gem. You dont see it until you are brought through to the area at the back. Beautiful brickwork indoors with arches feeling snug and underground yet nice views outside to the sunshine.

There are two parts of the restaurant - if you want to eat meat, or if you are for pizza/pasta.We were in meat part of the restaurant and everything was amazing.You cant see pictures of main dishes, we ate them to fast. :)Service - level pro, good red wines, meat just prepared as it should be (we ate duck and steak Capuciner). Everything tastefull and just beautiful.Well done.

Price matches quality. Fast finished. Nice staff and ambient. I ordered pasta with chicken and boletus and I really got boletus. Usually many restaurants just write that you will get "boletus", but you get one or two max. So I really appreciate that here I got what they wrote they offer. Stay fair! :)

Went to the meat restaurant (there are three different locations with the same name). Excellent service with a lot of humor and a ton of food for the price ($24.88 for "Grilled Meats for 2").

Great restaurant right by the cathedral. The server was funny and the food was delicious. The burrata salad was amazing and the 3 different pizzas we tried were all great. Just wish the pizza came cut, I like eating pizza with my hands rather than a fork and knife but thats just personal preference. Overall great experience, I recommend this restaurant

If you are looking for a “fancy” restaurant in the center of Zagreb, then I’d recommend the restaurant Capuciner. food is very well prepared, and in reasonable time. The staff is quite helpful and outgoing, despite of other peoples supposed experiences. The whole atmosphere of the restaurant is delightful. Excellent all around!If you plan on dining here, be sure to have a reservation, as this is a very sought-after restaurant in Zagreb.

Great experience in Zagreb. The food is very tasty and the staff very nice to me. Ordered some garlic bread, pizza and lasagna. The pizza and lasagna were very good. The garlic bread, its just some round bread with few garlic sauce. It needs much more garlic sauce on top. But its a place that deserves a visit again. I liked it a lot.

Nice restaurant in the very center of Zagreb, close to the main Cathedral. They have a good variety of dishes and a pleasant ambience. Theres an outside terrace. I especially enjoyed the salmon salad. The portions are generous.

Restaurant in the center of Zagreb. Location was good and you can pick between 2 sides (grill & pizza/pasta). The staff is very friendly and even helped us make a custom meat platter like on the picture. The menu had al sorts of amazing meats and platters. The food arrived quickly and was cooked like we ordered it. The sides were very nice as well. The prices are good and very affordable. Very friendly staff and amazing food! Very delicious meal, the meat was tender and properly cook as requested.The service was very organized, attentive and on time.The meat plate was well garnished and the burger although it comes alone without side dish, it is big enough not to want anything else.We recommend you this place if youre ever in Zagreb looking for a steakhouse.

This is for Capuciner GRILLVery good service. All the waiters wear masks and the attention to hygiene is high. (Unlike many other places in the city, unfortunately). And they are very kind and present. Great service.The place is very nice and not crowded, as it is not on a main street.Food is good, and the price for it is fair. (There is a pretty big variety of food you can choose from the menu).

Decent and affordable place. Their Mexican dishes are yum. Wines are lovely. Near to Zagreb cathedral, quite opposite of this area....one of the Uber driver suggested this place and yeah capuciner is a good place to hangout and to have a good food

Very nice restaurant/pizzeria. Service is superb, food is good, menu is rich. Location is at Zagreb center opposite the cathedral, easy to find. Parking is an issue though. Usually busy, if you a group better to make reservation. They accept credit cards.

This place is perfec to eat different specialities if you are into a nice piece of meat :). There is a large selection of steaks, salads and also mexican type of dishes. Prices are moderate, ambient is nice and quiet. Stuff is very helpfull and nice.

Our first day in Croatia. If the food is this good everywhere, we are in heaven. The meal was tasty and plenty, the pizzas next to us was awesome and we will be back to try other items on the menu.The service was good and verry friendly.Looking forward to try something else.We went back 2 days later and ordered different items and it was just as good as the first time. We definitely recomend you try it.

Decent food and friendly service. Had the rib eye which was ok, but nothing extraordinary. A good choice for a nice meal

Very good steak. We order Chicago Steak Black Angus. It was very delicious. Meat was tender. Well seasoned. Beautiful presentation (check the pictures). Aside steak I ordered baked artichokes. Very good as well. For dessert I order a Crème brulé. Very delicious but I would have been more happier if it had less sugar on top, thinner sugar crust. Price for steak was 170 kunas which is around 23 euros. All in all, I would eat there again.

I was taken to this place by my cousin... I wanted to eat some pizza I was hungry and she did well.Ordered a pizza was delicious, the service was nice and friendly .The toilets were clean a bit small but clean.The restaurant is big and spacious you can even seat outside in the terrace.The restaurant is located opposite the cathedral. Very centric.Prices are goodI highly recommend to try this place. Definitely I will be back.

Food was okay for the price, unfortunately the surly service let the place down. It did seem that the kitchen had a 100l pail of tomato sauce that was used on every dish though. Gnocchi could have been used in a table tennis match.

The food is really good and service is really fast, however it was such a shame that our waiter was in such a bad mood. He treated us (and all the other tables around usreally bad. Honestly, no one should be treated like that.Out of all, I would recommend the lasagna.

The staff here are very nice and the service is just perfect. Food was served in a very short period of time.We got the 4 cheese Gnocchi and the Burrata pizza; both were amazing. The food comes in big portions so consider sharing. Prices are very reasonable.Would definitely come here again.
