Capricornian Restaurant in Emerald

My husband and I shared a lovely dinner here. The wait staff were friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious and the portions were generous.

Worth 10 stars, excellent service, food was perfect, hence there wasnt many empty tables. Will return next trip to Emerald.

Awesome place/staff and presentation of food is very good but unfortunately the Wagyu steak that was advertised at MS9+ 300 gm was certainly not rated correctly. The steak had no marbling and was extremely sinewy. The mushroom sauce had absolutely no flavour. I should say the whole meal was so bland that I tried adding extra salt and pepper but still no taste. A total rip off for $39. I expressed my feelings when I was leaving but no offer for any refund etc. Probably better to bypass next time.

Waited nearly 2 hours for food.

Fantastic service on a busy night. Staff did a wonderful job! Water bottles were kept full. Service was fairly quick. Kids were made to feel welcome and loved the experience. Desserts were definitely the favourite course if the night! Its the small things that put together add up to a lovely night. Thank you.

Favourite restaurant in town. Always a great night out. Staff are great, food is great. Cocktails are amazing.

Food was not as nice as the decor.

Was looking for somewhere to have dinner during our 2 night stay in Emerald, and wasn’t disappointed that I picked Capricornia. I had the duck breast salad for entree and then the Portuguese Lamb for main course. I thoroughly enjoyed both courses. The staff were friendly and polite and I would be happy to recommend this restaurant to others.

Got takeaway steak and veg. It was restaurant quality delicious and service was efficient and friendly. I was able to wait at a table out the front and offered a drink while I waited.

Lovely place for a Eat Out with family. Well mannered Staff and Servers. Food for children and Adults. Wide variety of drinks to choose from. If you are big on steak, try the 800-900g steak. So good. Thanks Capricorn Restaurant, Emerald, QLD.

WOW Emerald you surprised us. The Capricornia Restaurant is 5 star. Excellent old fashion friendly and professional service. The food was to die for. With an expansive food and drinks menu to rival and better than a lot of big city restaurants. And to see that the desserts are made in house was so good to see. Thank you

Worst meal we have had in Emerald one star is giving them to much credit, wood fired pizza on menu is not wood fired in reality, soggy and very oily. The cannelloni was was raw and we sent it back to be replaced with an inedible pizza.Service and staff was good. Do not waste your money here

The floor manager was amazing. Food was really really good and the prices were incredible. Couldnt believe how well priced it was. Had to send the steak back to be cooked more but took too long to get the attention of a staff member. The manager was the only one who looked up and around when walking around. I wanted to order an extra side as well before entrees had even come out but again took so long to get the attention of a staff member. They need to look around a floor when waiting on patrons on a restaurant. Eyes up peoples!

Was extremely disappointed after being recommended to come here on our way through to moving to Townsville we had the crocodile spring rolls and the stuffed calamari. The spring rolls had no flavour whatsoever the sauce was nice the stuffed calamari was flavourlessIts sad when the only thing that was good is the chipsBeing someone who is a chef its disappointing getting takeaway knowing that you cant get a correction on the meal

Great food, full of favours

Thank you Richard for the great hospitality and our meal was delicious compliments to the chef. I was surprised my husband couldnt finish his massive steak. If this could give 10⭐ then you definitely would have earned 10 stars from us. This is the best restaurant in Emerald 🙌

Ordered Wagyu rump MS9+, got regular dry rump instead. Waiter admits theyre lying about the meat on the menu after trying to tell me some bs excuses like we used to serve real marbled Wagyu just not recently. You should be ashamed.

Liquor coffees are divine and the dessert menu has something for everyone

What I had was a little disappointing the crab sliders were supposed to brioche but instead were old bread rolls.The fish curry had more seafood marinara then fish most of the mussels were chewy and I could not eat them.Dessert was good.

The food is awesome, couldnt be any better. Had my favourite crocodile springrolls, yummy. Love them

The outside area is the best part. It is truly beautiful with a really good atmosphere. Service has been good while I have been there. Food okay also.

Over an hour and a half wait after ordering for a pretty bland meal. Was pretty fun sitting around running out of things to talk about while watching everyone else who came in after us be served meals. Not worth the money in my opinion. Was a nice atmosphere on the plus side.

Wait staff were friendly. Food was nice, had the barramundi which tasted nice and fresh.

Definitely not what I expected. The food and service could be improved dramatically. Probably not going to go back very soon.
