Next to the Yellowhead Highway, and set among the shops and restaurants in downtown Smithers, this modest, low-rise inn is also 25 km from the Hudson Bay Mountain ski area.Accessed by exterior corridors, the unpretentious, air-conditioned rooms sleep up to 4 guests, and offer wood-veneer furnishings, free WiFi and cable TV, plus minifridges and coffeemakers; microwaves are available on request. Upgraded rooms and suites sleep up to 8 guests, and add kitchenettes and/or pull-out sofas.Amenities include a casual, steakhouse-style restaurant, and parking for cars and trailers.
Exceptional service. Smithers has my heart <3
Very good option if you are on a budget. The Breakfast makes the start in the day very convenient
Nothing special. Quiet Clean decent beds.
Clean rooms and price is very fair with breakfast included from 6 to 10.
Nice large room double beds great shower very happy with this room
Great nice place
Dont. Just dont. Drive home instead. This place doesnt even meet the bare minimum. Google something else. Pay more. Do not stay here. Oh y, 4 star for location. Dont stay here. Ill give stars for service because someone was here and brought.....bedding to the room. The pull out bed had so much sheit on it I coulda had a meal. I debated sleeping on the street.
always a room available when i needed it, helpful staffnice comfy clean rooms
Love it the the gals there treat us pritty good
Great place to go for the day and explain the city of Smithers
Not my best stay. The service was very poor, the room was stuffy, and the bed was very small and not particularly comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was decent, although the pancake machine was not working. I doubt Ill be returning.
Honestly if your honest with these people they are one of the best stays in smithers, As you check in ask for the coffee and cream will save you from going to the front office. Now here is why the Capri is great but do right here they will give anyone a chance as but if you mess up they are certainly not going to let you back. They do require a deposit for the rooms as any inn does. 300 bucks for the deposit and all in with 135 a night with taxes Wi-Fi included. If your a light sleeper or have kids important to ask for the non party side. About a 10 min walk to the main part of Smithers main street that has all the cool shopping. As for food there is a dinner type restaurant right next store. Tim Hortons is less then a 5 min walk for ppl looking to get breakfast type stuff. As well most outfits will definitely deliver right to your room.
The breakfast was lacking. There wasnt even any jam for the bagels.
Older place but clean with good beds.
Completely devastated by our experience. Not only was our first night cancelled but we were not informed of the cancellation until trying to check in at 9 p.m. and being turned away.Smithers hotels were completely booked and we were left with no where to goFinally Got to check in the next day, we get up to our room and find bugs all over the bathroom completely disgusting staff did nothing to try to fix the problem the night before nor did they really acknowledge the fact that there were bugs.Manager also never replied to any email sent about set issuesawful stay do not recommend
Scary! The floor sagged in my room and the creeks in the ceiling made me question the structure of the building. I would not recommend unless desperate.
The best beds in town. They are very friendly, even asked if we needed it for another night. We stayed another night ! 😉
So poor quality, the room was not clean at all. There were hair everywhere even on the bed. I asked them to give me extra sheath but also the extra was not clean enough. I email and share my concern to the manager, but nobody answered. Not recommend at all
Great service a great place to stay.
The place is kept clean yet needs improvements . It’s not worth the price you pay for.
Nice place, comfortable bed, clean, friendly staff, I left in the morning feeling well rested. I would recommend this place to everyone. The only negative thing was that the convenient power outlets embedded in the table lamp was too loose to offer a reliable connection, I guess theyve lost their virginity long ago
Well first of all I dont mean to be rude but the sink water stank alot
Quite room, place, food near by , pleasant service e
I stayed at the Capri and can definitely say all the staff were extremely polite and courteous and all around great people. I can safely say this is not a hotel I would ever bring my family. It’s very old and dated. For myself it’s not too bad. The bed was clean as was the room and the shower was great as well. The price was nice but I feel like this hotel caters to rail and transportation clients for the most part and that’s why it looks so dungeonish. It was quiet and it’s location is in close proximity to various restaurants and grocery stores.
Pros: SUPER SOFT towels, very nice. The sink and toilet were exceptionally clean. Bed was neatly made and no bed bugs. Pillows great. Shower has lots of pressure, very good. Room has a mini fridge and microwave. I forgot to pack popcorn.CONS: as many have said, the bathrooms REALLY need some work. Ceiling in bathroom was rusty, and you could see sagging panels from past roof leaks. Shower sealant between upper and lower half looked kinda rotten. Hole in the wall next to the tub. Cinder block wall isn’t that inviting, and the rest of the room looks slightly dated. Worst part was the dust in the heater that I could see, which led me to find the caked on dust in the filter that’s in the room and easily cleanable. I could kinda feel the dust floating in the room because of this.
There are better deals around, $100 for a very dirty ,run down room. Felt like a $40 room. Even had 3 roommates (🕷).
I enjoyed my stay here. The front desk personnel were very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel was just 2 doors down from a Tim Hortons, which is always a bonus! I was able to bring both my dogs into my room with me for an additional $10 each. Id stay here again.
Front desk was very inviting was tired when arrive and they took the time to help with a hard working fellow.. love the place I would recommend the place...quiet and respected place to stay love it 👍👍👍🍻🍻
very nice staff, adequate clean, but a little noisy
Always say here...miltons movers...kamloops b.c...clean close too everything...
Very nicely laid out room.Well outfitted for someone travelling on the road.
Awesome people, rooms are always clean.
Wonderful stop on our drive from Washington State to Alaska!! Pet friendly restaurants within walking distance
Cleaned rooms, Good service, Good breakfast , i strongly recommend this place to stay
Wow !Newly renovated, and continental breakfast.I am very satisfied with my stay .The suit’s feel comfortable just like home .
Nice comfy rooms. Great staff and great location... close to Timmys
Clean and the beds were comfortable. Employees were very polite and helpful.
Good place to stay.Excellent location, reasonable price.
Clean and friendly staff. Beds and bathrooms need updated badly!
Older hotel but theyre pet friendly so for that Im thankful. The ladies at the desk are very nice. Close to restaurants and grocery stores.
Rooms are clean and big with good rates it is older
Room was comfortable, the bathroom was brilliant. Staff were very friendly and even gave us their personal kettle for tea (the room was equipped with a coffee maker but were tea drinkers!). The only complaint was that the corridor smelled really really bad and we didnt know what the smell was.
Great value for money, especially with breakfast included.
Place is clean, good location, staff is friendly.
Definitely a budget hotel. There is a smell in each room that is amazingly disturbing, along with brick walls furniture from the 1940s and the sound of everything happening within the next 5 rooms to either side of you. On the positive side. The staff are actually really helpful and the beds are pretty comfortable.
This place is absolutely incredible and gorgeous!! And for the price its an insanely great deal!!! If I was coming back here I will stay again and again!!! Im highly impressed with everything!!!
Very friendly staff. Ended up leaving 130am due multiple bug bites🕷. Got a full reimbursement for my stay😴
The rooms are cheap and clean. Furnishings are old and dated. Close to amenities on the main highway, including a Tim Hortons next door. They are in the process of renovating the rooms.
Totally awesome place to stay staff n the ladies at the front desk r totally responsible respectful n the best smiles ever. I like staying here its convient for me n its close to everything. They have great rates on rooms aswell
The entire hotel including front loby reeked of cheap pot. Do not bring your children here. This is a great place to stay if your 420 friendly, clearly I am not.
