Comfortable standby with a cozy interior & a patio serving Italian plates & New York-style pies.
Phenomenal pizza! Appealing location and friendly staff. Would highly recommend!
Wonderful atmosphere. We are always seated right away. The food is delicious
Excellent pizza, wings and garlic knots. Our new “go-to” pizza place. Also super clean and comfortable for a more elegant Italian dinner. Try it!
Good service, good food. Would have to eat there more to rank it higher.
I have eaten here a couple of times in the past couple of months and it has been good. I had previously posted about a horrible experience a year ago. They must have made changes to management because they seem to have corrected their faults. Definitely worth a try.
Picked up a pizza that may have been 3 days old. No toppings cardboard crust. Wad decent in the past but wont be going back
I want to like them buuuttttt just cant. The garlic knots has the be the grossest bread Ive ever had. Had such an odd taste still cant figure it out. Pizza was okay at best. Besides the drunk owner or manager at the bar the staff was super nice! Thats the 2 stars, service was at least good.
This is my spot. I always purchase the Tuesdays pizza special. Thet still have some of the best pizza in Cobb County. A staple in my household. I order a Pepperoni pizza and a Cheese pizza for the family. It is always good. The closest thing to NY Pizza here in Acworth. We mix it up occasionally and order garlic knots, Shrimp Scampi, Chicken Parmigiano. All items are tasty but the portions are medium size. Wish they were larger.
This was my first time visiting this establishment, and i looked forward to a pleasant experience but unfortunately I received the total opposite. I would give this a zero stars if i could. If you are a person who is big on customer service, and just having a half decent waitress then this isn’t the place for you. The food we were served was very mediocre, we never got any drink refills, they make you feel uncomfortable like you came to eat at their home unannounced, and our waitress Emma slammed things on our table every time she brought things and made it a point to drop things and walk off without letting us get a word in. My sister ordered the create your own pasta and the meatball was over cooked and looked microwaved, and when needing to send it back Emma seemed annoyed, but she never once asked how everything was instead she asked her other table that was right beside ours. Our checks were incorrect, and when letting her know she didn’t say “sorry about that” or anything. Just continuous attitude .. very unprofessional! I will never return to this establishment.
Delicious food! Decent prices. What more can you ask for
We’ve only had their pizza up until last night. The wings were very tasty and juicy. The angel hair pasta with meat sauce almost caused us to divorce because even though he only wanted wings, he kept stealing the pasta and meat sauce from me. The meat sauce is THAT good!
Eeeh. Ive had better. We had some over done zucchini fries for an appetizer and the veggie pizza that we changed up with artichoke and beta cheese. The crust was good but maybe a bit too much garlic and not enough flavor. Good service though.
We just had the calzone and a pasta dish. My wife and i got sick immediately after. Manager said "well get back to you". Not cool man! Bad food.
Always a wonderful experience. I order delivery and have been in the restaurant. Great place. Great food.
Quiet lunch, but really like their pizza. Good service and nice little place in a busy strip mall on Cobb Pkwy.
Second Saturday in a row here , meatballs over cooked , but this visit was the worst , we came in at 9:15 the waitress in the bar with blond hair rolled her eyes at us when we came in and I explained we would eat quick and go since they close at 10. She was nice enough to comp the meatballs and asked if we would like them Togo - well since it would get us out of there sooner because being here was a problem I said sure we will finis our food here then take the meatballs home and eat them there at 10:15 thank you - horrible server sad second time the meatballs were hard - love this place won’t be back
I got fettuccine alfredo with chicken, was good but GREASY. Physical puddles of grease on my plate.
Very confusing spot. I’ve had AMAZING food there and very subpar food there. Usually order the same thing. Service is always great but seems like the cooks are hit or miss. Most recent pizza was still covered in flour.
The bartenders/waitstaff here are pretty great. A couple of the cooks do a great job and a couple of others are very inconsistent. This seems to be the issue with every restaurant in Cobb County though. Food will be completely different if you order the same plate on 3 different trips. Ratios of seasoning, color of sauce, freshness of various produce-type pizza ingredients. Its kind of wild, but the staff cares and will do their best to make it right. They have beer and wine specials which also keeps us coming back for more. Thanks Capos
Ordered pizza twice from Capos. The first was bad. Tasteless, dry, and very skimpy on the toppings. We decided to go ahead and give them another shot and ordered another last night.Just as bad. I mean, come in, its already priced high (higher than the usual delivery places). Ordered half hamburger and half pepperoni/sausage.Attached pic shows how much was on the pizza. This is ludicrous! Does Capos really find this acceptable? This is a slice of the hamburger pizza.Literally THE worst delivery pizza I have ever had, beating out even the terrible first Capos pizza. Again, this is a hamburger pizza, folks. Dry, tasteless, almost no toppings.
This is by far the best Italian restaurant. Garlic knots..I dream about. The sauce…I could drink it. Eggplant rollatini…pretty sure I moaned when I first ate it. Pizza…sweet baby Jesus I hid a slice from my family so I could eat later. We’ve dined in twice and gotten togos about 5x’s. Service was, meh - But I came for the food lol Hostesses r always sweet. If u want good food, look no further.
The food was so good and the staff was nice. Definitely coming back and trying more things!
Seriously, so good and amazing service. Had the eggplant rollatini, and I was so pleasantly surprised. Great wine selection, too. Give them a shot. You wont regret it!
So we just ordered over $100 worth of food, 1 item was incorrect. We live 20min away. The employee checked the order and actually recommended the dish. Now, they will not offer any discount or refund 🙄 plus making me come and pick it up.Worst customer service ever😒
I really enjoyed Capos. Greeted and seated promptly by the hostess. We ordered the garlic knots appetizer which was a generous portion and delicious. I love angel hair pasta, and they have a "choose your own" pasta and sauce. So angel hair pasta with Bolognese sauce which was awesome! Dessert was the tiramisu, and it was perfect. I think Capos is my new go to Italian restaurant!
We tried the restaurant for the first time today for lunch. My boyfriend and I ordered a pizza and split a large salad. The salad was ok, but the pizza was terrible! They only serve large pizzas, which is odd. The crust was very thin for a hand tossed crust, and nothing on the pizza had any flavor from the sauce, the cheese and the toppings. Definitely a disappointment.
A great Sunday afternoon experience! Capos is cozy and clean and plays great music! The waitress was attentive and offered suggestions. I had pasta with red pepper cream sauce and my date ordered a cheese pizza - which was gigantic! Definitely our new go to for spending time together and enjoying a great meal and having a great experience!
First visit. Clean place. The service was prompt and friendly. We shared the garlic knots, which were great, hot, and fresh. And the food was also freshly prepared, cooked to perfection in generous proportions. Well return soon to try more tasty dishes. Pictured is the Angel hair Pasta with Roasted Red Pepper Cream Sauce (with crushed red peppers), Sun-dried tomatoes, and a meatball. Delicious!
I ate here for the first time about a week ago and enjoyed the experience. We sat at the (pet-friendly!patio outside and it was really quiet and pleasant. The food was excellent and our server was very polite and friendly. The bathroom was nice and clean. It looked like a nicer ambience eating outside than inside. It wasnt super busy for a Saturday afternoon but I liked the fact that they do take reservations, unlike a lot of other places in the area. Overall I would definitely eat here again, and sit outside if the weather is nice enough.
Tasty Pizza Tuesday $10 cheese pizza special! I added basil for $2.50, and extra sauce and order the crust lightly done. Its my first time here and it came out exactly how I wanted it ❤️😍 I always add crushed red peppers and parmesan cheese.
The husband and I are huge NY style pizza fans. This place never disappoints us! Weve been coming to Capos for a few years now and we always leave full and happy. Some of the best NY pizza around!
It was not good. Had the Chicken bacon ranch sandwich and lasagna with garlic knots as a appetizer.Chicken bacon ranch sandwich. Chicken on it tasted like it sat out and didn’t look good. The ranch was good.Lasagna did not taste good. Layers seemed portioned heavy on some items and almost zero on others.Garlic knots. Meh.
After a year of staying home we decided to revisit Capos for my birthday...and they are just as great as ever! Our server, Emily was super sweet and attentive. The pizza was just as yummy as I remembered, I got the Sicilian thick crust and after only 3 pieces I had to say "uncle" and take the rest home. Hubby loved his pepperoni Calzone and we both enjoyed the tender garlic knots! They even brought me a cute cannoli for a birthday surprise! Love Capos, will surely be back once Covid calms down again. 💗💗
Service was non-existent even though there were multiple staff standing around. Garlic knots, salad and ziti were mediocre at best. Eggplant was spongy and gross. When I gave my whole plate back to the waitress with only a bite or two taken she acted like it was completely normal. I didnt complain because the food was so bad I didnt want anything else. Unfortunately well not be back.
Food was not good. Garlic knots had no flavor. Not sure how you mess those up. The pizza sauce tasted like tomatoes paste. The Greek dressing tasted like bland Italian. Even the homemade ranch my kids would not eat. The wings were completely burnt and still served. Fortunately, my son was really hungry and ate most of them anyways.
So me, my wife and daughter just came here for our first dinner after living here for over 3 years. I have to say that this place beats the competition! First of all our service from Leah K was absolutely delightful!. Leah K was sweet and nice super attentive and funny with our daughter, she made our time here perfect. Now the pizza and garlic knots are untouchable and classic. The atmosphere was nice a calm the outside patio is spacious and relaxing. I most definitely highly recommend Capos pizza. We will be back for sure, we have found our new pizza/ Italian spot.
The service was slow but the waiter was polite. We ordered a garlic cheesy bread for an appetizer and it was lacking flavor and wasn’t hot. For the main course we ordered a Sicilian pizza that was burnt on the bottom and crust. Also a order of Bolognese pasta, it was good but there wasn’t enough pasta to go with the amount of sauce. Next the 3 dollar meatball was plain and soggy. Overall we will not be returning.
Great Pizza, Friendly Staff. Came in for a couple slices of pizza to go. The staff were attentive and professional. The pizza came out hot and fresh.
The chicken alfredo tasted like noodles with no alfredo sauce. The worst chicken alfredo Ive ever had. The service was awesome. I will not be returning.
I have NEVER in my life been spoken to as rudely as I just was. I called in an order to go, was told it would be ready in 30 min, was there to pick up in 40. Couple min late... I order 3 chicken alfredos and garlic knots. Pasta is dry, garlic knots are burnt (they turned them over so you coudnt see the burnt side), and the "4oz" of chicken HA! When I called to let them know I was not satisfied the lady argued with me. I told her I have never been spoke to the way she was speaking to me. I was an unhappy customer, and all she wanted to do was argue, and speak over me. Needless to say, I ended up cussing, and she hung up on me. When I figure out how to post the pics yall can see why I wasnt satisfied. The little things to the right of the pasta bowl is my "4oz" of chicken. This restaurant will never recieve another dime from me, and I will tell EVERYONE I know about my experience. Edited to say you have to click the photos thing beside my name to see the photos. Not sure why they wont show up on the review.
Server was kind and we all got what we ordered. The people who ordered the eggplant mary ann were pleased with the main dish, the sides were subpar.I ordered the tortellini carbonara and was extremely confused when I received it. It tasted ok, its just not carbonara. The sauce isnt right, nor the way the onions are cooked. Overall, an ok experience.
I had the Red Pepper Cream Sauce on linguini with chicken and my wife had a calzone. We also had a piece of pizza just to try it. Pizza was good but needed more cheese, Red pepper Linguini was amazing and my wife love her calzone. We will definitely be returning just next time Ill ask for more cheese on the pie! The pizza is the only reason for the 4 stars instead of the 5.
Went to check this place out with the amount of great reviews Capos has. Walked in and this place had great views along with the outdoor seating. Staff was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the garlic knots & tried something different and went for the Lazio chicken. Garlic knots were pretty great not dry or soggy as if they have been sitting. Only knock I would have is the amount of lemon in the dish for my chicken Lazio. I understand its a lemon sauce but I feel like it just was over powering the entire dish and couldnt really taste anything else. Felt like I was a sophomore in high school drinking UV Blue and getting gut rot. But idk I could honestly just have a sh*t pallete and thats what that specific dish is supposed to be like.
Its like this place wanted me to give them a bad review. I will explain. I have been coming here on and off for the past 2 years. This was my favorite place for Italian in the area after a coworker told me about it because he takes (tookhis family here often. And I am very busy so I always order to-go, and never had a problem. Until May 2019, which I noticed different employees in there from what I remember, cause it had been a little while since I came. I ordered some garlic knots and they were completely burnt and so hard you would need a dentist after biting. Ugghhh so disappointing when youre tired, hungry and craving these. I guess I was the sucker that got them cause obviously you wouldnt give that to someone who dines in, they would immediately turn them away. So I was home and called explaining my brick-burnt knots and my disappointment. I was told I would have an IOU for a replacement of knots the next time I come in. I thought, What happened to the quality of this place? Maybe just my bad timing on this one. So I came back some days much later, once I finally had the time to, ordered before I arrived (not mentioning the IOU knots). When I arrived, I explained my IOU from before and was told no problem, we will remove the charge. Then I felt like my order shouldve been ready cause I was a little late picking it up, but it took like 5-6 more min. (What are they doing with the knots that should be ready? hmm...)I got to the car with my cheese pizza slice (barely any cheese on this "sheet of paper"which was cold, and then looked at the knots.. which were like fresh dough but swimming in grease. if I wanted fresh dough, I couldve went to a local baker and asked for some dough, or even got dough from the frozen section in the store, like the pack of dinner rolls, or heck, made the dough myself if I had the time. But I dont, so instead I got stuck with some dough, but greasy dough that shouldve been baked already for dinner. I felt it would do more benefit to write this review than to go back in there and ask for... anything else. Plus I felt like this was payback at me for disappointment with the brick knots before, but the opposite- undercooked. The quality of Capos is no more.. and best believe I will never return to this place again.
We went there for dinner.Casual yet not too casual and not noisy Italian restaurant. They had nice choices for music which match the atmosphere. We ordered steamed mussels as appetizer amd I ordered Baked Ziti with meat. The sauce for mussels was too salty for my taste. The ziti was too soft (far from al dente). The tomato sauce was good but I would say it was average. My girl friend had angel hair pasta woth sun dried tomato. Sje said her sauce was also on the salty side.Over all, I would give 3 stars for being average.
I came in today for lunch looking to sit down and eat. However I walked in and the girl ask me how she could help me I said I was feeling like pizza she didnt ask if I wanted to sit she just said pizza is on the back of the menu I told her I wanted chicken pizza she walked off I sat myself down she came back with a check and walked back off never offering me a drink so I put the money on the table another girl came to take it and asked if I wanted the change back I said yes as I was not being served nicely and then she went to the back then I get my pizza hardly any cheese and barely warm. I did not go back because I didnt feel it was worth my time as they didnt feel like I was. I wont be back nice friendly service goes a long way
On a wed. evening the resturant wasnt very busy, we got service pretty fast and the host and waitresses were nice.Out apoitizer was garlic knots, they were a little burnt but fine and 6 count was good for 2 people (about the size of ping pong balls and racket balls). We order a meat pizza (only one size 16", sliced were avaible... and a buffalo chicken calzone (which could easily feed two).Good experience, good simple food Italian food alot if not exactly like the resturant Johnnys Pizza, but they have less size and pricing options.
The service was great. Food was pretty good. The kitchen was VERY slow. It was a group of 2q. It took forever. Our server Alexia was very patient and calm even the kitchen couldnt produce. If the manager had stayed out of the office it might have gone faster. Also the credit card machine was out. A total CF.
Arrived around 7:30, not busy. Took awhile to get seated. Ordered and got salad and garlic knots 20 minutes later. Chicken parmesan took 35 minutes to get to us. Had to request water refill. Broccoli was raw. Disappointing meal. Unacceptable service.
Great Italian! I am not much of an Italian food fan but this is great. The pizza, pasta and garlic knots are fantastic. Prices are good for the food quality and portions and service is average. I will certainly be back.
