Sandy venue with beach volleyball, a basketball court & facilities; fire rings allowed, but no dogs.
Lots of people at night, but the atmosphere is awesome!
Quite place to enjoy ocean and weather
Fabulous views and surf being destroyed by sea erosion. The city needs to do something other than throwing sand and sandbags into the surfline. A seawall or reef is needed. Please dont let this timeless spot of coastline be reclaimed by the sea.
Great small stretch of beach next to Doheny state park. Good to enjoy beach, watch the waves take a walk along beach, or surf (advancedthe offshore reef, depending on tides. Unfortunately beach erosion and high seas is slowly chewing the park up, The city is putting forth a valiant effort to stem the tide, but the park has lost its restroom, beach showers and a great basketball court and more, in the past few years. These amenities use to make it even more appealing. Theres still a good deal of parking for the area occasional closures by parks for repair or safety.
Stopped by w/ my sister to enjoy the sunset, was wonderful
Mostly washed out, very little beach left. Incredible wave activity, though. Remarkable.
This beach is very quiet with lots of free parking. Lots of small stones when you enter the water. (Rounded not sharpNothing sharp or big. Then there is a dip with a nice sand bar further out. It is nice when you get passed the stones and dip.
Dont get me wrong, the view is beautiful! Theres just no beach to lay on anymore. So sad.
This is an OC parks beach. The beach is next to a gated/guarded community. Google maps may provide directions that actually take you inside the community. The parking lot is small and right outside the community and it is free to park there. Access to the beach is very easy and north of the parking lot. The beach is rather small and sand is not expansive. The view towards the ocean is uninterrupted and there is a trail next to the beach where you can walk or bike. I personally didnt see any restrooms or life guard stations at this beach. There are no barbecue stations at this beach. I feel that during high tide there may not be enough dry sand to set down a towel or chair.
Cool beach- good for surfing expect you land on rocks
Beautiful water and setting. Possibly one of my favorite beaches to go too. Though I will argue that they could use a bit more sand. But overall a great and beautiful spot to relax and enjoy the sun and water. Had to come cuz my allergies were terrible due to the humidity in San Diego. But they cleared once I got here. Really shows how much mother nature and a trip to the outdoors can do for you. Really look forward to my next trip out here.
Great little beach park with a lovely view. Partially closed due to water damage when we visited, but my kids enjoyed seeing the high tide. Porta potty was very clean, with external washing station.
Beautiful beach spot down from our resort, Riviera.
There is a special place near to the aquarium for camping and parking for R.V
Well-maintained beach with beautiful vistas. You cant go wrong if you trek down here and plus if you bring some camping supplies and spend a good fair amount of time in a spot. No one will bother you
Very nice place to go with a date! 🤫
Beautiful beach, and not over crowded. Easy parking. Perfect place to relax.
Clean and never over crowded! A great place to watch the sun set.
Theres an actual parking lot.Easy walk out to the beach. Beautiful views lots of room for kids to run around and play in the sand and make sand castles.
A nice beach, you can go by the jetty you can find some pretty cool sea creatures like hermit crabs, sea slugs, starfish, probone of the best beaches to go to.
One of my favorite spots to walk. Crazy how much the shoreline has changed since I first started coming here 10 years ago!
Nice beach. Was not crowded.
The views are beautiful. Lifeguards everywhere so we felt safe. There were plenty bathrooms and they were fairly clean. Is a great place to picnic and bring the whole family
Nice beach. Decent parking. Beautiful view. Porta potties for restrooms. Not a lot of beachfront. Not a good surfing beach. Nice Beach for going on walks.
Beautiful, quiet beach. Easy to park, clean!
I understand it costs to maintain restrooms, but porta potties? Free parking, also adjacent parking on PCH Southbound. Parking 6AM-10PM
I love it has a lot of rocks so people tend to stay away so hasnt been crowded since ive been there a few times but dog friendly which is great
Beautiful area to watch the sunset. Used to have nice gorgeous beaches but has been ravaged by the Rosen lately. Still cant beat the park for sunset views!
Live down the road perfect beach to actually walk your dog on the beach! No parking fees, hardly ever crowded! There are lots of rocks and stones so wear your water shoes.
Cover beach park is still really nice even though its lost a lot of sand to erosion but its still a great place to sit and watch the sunset. 😎🌅
This is a nice beach but it does have a lot of erosion right now.
Nice place to stop and watch the waves. No beach to walk on anymore as well as no basketball courts anymore. If your lucky one can catch a view of dolphins swimming by.
Nice beaches looks like they just recently redid some of the roadway and sidewalk.
I love to come here. This is my spot. Lots of rocks so there isn’t many people. Parking lot is collapsing as the shore recedes, so use caution during high tides.
Was a most wonderful experience with my family. Chased waves, built sand castles and took in the whole beauty of this ⛱️
Nice place! So close to the water. No sand issues. Not too busy.
Quiet beach side where you can listen to the waves rolling in without the crowd. Picnic benches available for snacking by the shore.
Timmy and I had so much fun today. It was so very beautiful just listening and looking at the ocean and collecting rocks. We had a blast!
Last time I was here was around 30 years ago lots of change there was Major erosion from the ocean which the city or state are repairing there was one lifeguard on duty observing everyone parking is very limited so get there early if you want to get a space porta potties in picnic tables are available but very limited have a great time
Beautiful place to go if you want to hang out on the beach, it wasn’t too busy on a Tuesday afternoon . There were people surfing and kids playing in the water. There are picnic tables to sit at if you don’t want to sit in the sand.
Took the grandkids had a great time...also took the Metro Link train from there to Oceanside and back I recomend doing that
Nice beach. No handicap access. Most of shut down for dumb reason.
Beautiful place to spend the day and watch the sunset. Parking is close to the sand and water. In the evening the tide was surprisenly low. Fun to explore among the rocks and critters. Harbor nearby was busy with people dining outdoors.
Breath taking views beautiful clean sandy beach and all your favorite friends....whats not love about Capo Beach. Grab your favorite beach towel and hit the sand at Capistrano Beach south of Dana harbor in southern orange county California
E bike ride with Jim and Melody. Just a beautiful day in San Clement.
Had such good times at this beach. Always easy to find parking. Just be mindful theres tons of rocks on the beach and in water.
Gorgeous beach front views, basketball courts, restrooms, and access to great areas for running or dog walking. Easily accessible on foot from Doheny State Park and campground area.
My favorite beach in Southern California! Go check it out if you can. Nice and clean bathrooms with showers. It does have a basketball and volleyball court with boardwalk. Lots of beach sand and does not get crowded or too full for the most part. There is paid hourly parking on beach park and street parking as well. Lifeguard on beach with water conditions updated regularly.
This is inbetween one main spot and the next big spot along the beach so not a crowd to deal with. Still a good spot for different agendas; To relax, exercise, have lil gathering, and even to get ur pet out for sum fresh air. Took our puppy out and she loved it. Had to wait for the train to go by and stayed at the light a bit b4 turning in but right as the wait got the blood pumpin, had the beach air and nice waves to cool it al off. One of the highlights here was how close u are to the beach sitting in your car. Litterally can pull up and park, and get a great view, listen to the waves and get a sum good wind. So nice
Great place to stop and watch the sunset. Went there on a Sunday in February and there was plenty of parking (cant speak for warmer months). $1/hour for parking makes this veey reasonable. The toilets were clean, soap and toilet paper was stocked, and there was a working hands dryer.
