Cantinetta Antinori in Florence

Reserve a table in the cortile (little interior garden). The service is super refined and plesant! If you are in the porchini mushroom season, go for the porchini salade and porchini tagliatelle! The florentine steak was amazing: (please note that it is served rare). And of course the wine selection is great. Their white bubbly ( which resembles champagne was impressive).

It was my first time having seafood ragu.Honestly, one of the best pasta dishes Ive had.Service was also good. Really worth a visit and to try.

Walked by the restaurant on Sep 10th 2022 around 2 pm as it has been recommended to us by our hotel concierge. Very arrogant and unfriendly Head of Service which declined us as walk-in guests a table for two with the argumentation, that he only accepts walk in groups of min. 4, although in the restaurant (in-diningat least 2 tables for 2 were free and 1 table at the terrace which he said had been reserved but the guest had not yet arrived. Why he did not offer us one of the tables inside? Unfortunately, he was not able to explain and walked away.

Superb! The food and wine were just spectacular

Portions were small, food was reasonable but not spectacular. Have had better. Service was ok. Price was high. All told not good value for money, nice location though.

As always a great experience. Located in the historic Palazzo Antinori, the setting is amazing matched as well, by the food and service. The manager Daniele, is always a gracious host and our server, Rosario always takes great care of us.

Perfect ambience and food for living like a Florentin

My family and I had an unfortunate experience at Catinetta for dinner. We had made dinner reservations over a month ago and were extremely excited to dine there as we love their wine. While the hostess and manager were lovely in greeting us that was the extent of their customer service. After we received our bottle of water we were completely ignored for the rest of the time. We were the only table in their indoor dining until a second table sat down a while after us. The other table was sipping wine while we were still being ignored. I attempted to get the waiter’s attention and while he looked straight into my eyes he then proceeded to start folding napkins, walk around the restaurant etc. When I called him over again his response was “I heard you what do you want?!!”. I told him we were ready to order and his response was “fine”. I was surprised and asked him if there was a problem and he responded “no what do you want”. The only other table besides us was astonished at how rude he was being that they called the manager over. They were locals and were really embarrassed at how he was acting towards us. While the manager tried to smooth things over and offered to change our server our night was already ruined and we left. I am Italian, while my husband is not and I have never received such rude service ever while in Italy. We had just spent a few days in Bordeaux and were ready to invest in Antinori wine but we will NEVER support them ever again. The only positive thing about the whole experience was that it was a good teaching moment for our kids on how to never act like the loser server. And that there are still good people, like the table besides us, that are ready to step in and call someone out when they are wrong.

Beautiful spot for dinner. Food and wine were brilliant.

Right inside one the most beautiful streets of Firenze , close to the riverbank, on ground floor we walked in a fabulous marrocan-italian style terrace and were received by polite people. We had rose wine and some typical pasta dishes and felt relaxed and nice. Some lounge music was filling the air of this beautiful place and beautiful people were having dinner on simple tables with enough spaces around them, thus privacy was guaranteed. Also very good value for money. This wine restaurant is inside a private house and the owners actually live there in the upper floors.

Beautiful place to get a refreshing glass (or twoof wine. Nice open courtyard for an afternoon drink. It was quiet when we were there, but told it does get quite busy. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and had an attention to detail.

Gorgeous interior, delicious food, great service. And a building with a ton of history!

Excellent food, wines of course, and ambience

I love this restaurant and have had the privilege of dining here several times during my visits to Florence over the last 20 years. It is not to be missed. The food, the wine, the service, and the surroundings are all absolutely exquisite.

I had an amazing day in florence on my birthday and the cherry on top was having dinner in this gorgeous restaurant, we were seated in the secluded Upper dining room, which only had one table which made the experience all the more special. I had three amazing courses followed by a glass of vin Santo and some lovely crunchy biscuits which were perfect for dipping in the wine.

Had a reservation for dinner. It was a very nice experience. Friendly staff, great service, food was delicious.

The overall vibe was pretentious and unwelcoming. If you have the confidence to overcome the negativity you will enjoy amazing wine and great dinner. Overall I wouldn’t recommend due to the negative nature. Cheers!

It’s surprising what can appeal to anyone in this place. The bread basket was dry and old. The cold cuts were vulgar. The gnocchi were ok. Service was subpar. Had to serve myself most of the wine. Got one of the worst tables on the floor. Why would anyone ever recommend this absolutely mediocre place? I’m very cautious ever criticizing restaurants, but don’t waste your time coming here. You will be very disappointed.

We had eaten here 2 1/2 year ago and were super impressed. This time not as good. A bit stuffy and formal. I’ve had better ossobuco lots of other places but the spinach gnocchi was quite good and the Cabernet fromMaremma was superb. But the elevator music that started 2/3 of the way through the meal is a deal breaker for me.

Amazing T bone steak. Lovely atmosphere, polite service and good food. Very lovely wine pairings although we were served a different wine to the year we requested.

Impeccable. A must for wine lovers. Lorenzo is a young Sommelier who worked a lot in London and will be able to navigate you among the gems of the Cotarellas. Very recommended!

A must when in Florence! The food is to die for (but dont, you also have to visit their winery with its amazing Rinuccio 1180 restaurant!).This restaurant is in the historic Palazzo Antinori and sitting in the courtyard for both lunch and dinner was just beautiful.Highly recommended!

Very nice interior up to par with expectations. However, the staff was rather underwhelming and simply not interested in trying to make you feel indeed welcome. The food was quite tasty and preparation was great - however portions were way too small; main course steak was the size youd expect from one in a 6 course meal. So overall - meh.

Beautiful place that I have been visiting every year for lunch. Ambiance is always great and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommended with a group of well dressed friends.

Alright stop. This place was amazing. Suggested by a very affluent friend. I showed up, and the staff was wonderful. The main courses (carbohydrateswere so good I had a hard time to choose from (mind you I am a restaurant pro). The kitchen allowed me to order half portions so that I could taste two options. Then a protein dish and a dessert. (Which is way more than what I usually eat). I manually harmonized the wines. Here is the breakdown:1Half portion Pecorino cheese Ravioli on sage pesto. When you cut these open, melted Pecorino cheese oozes out and lands on the pesto sauce which is at the base of the plate. Goodness me. Drank Antinori Chianti wine, easy and light to open up the palette.2half portion Ricotta and Spinach dumplings with butter, thyme on cheese fondue. Ok just the name should give you shivers. This plate hit an all time 5/5 on my personal best hits list. Still thinking of it.3beef carpaccio with pistachio and walnuts. Tasted more than expected because (I assumethey seasoned it with unfiltered olive oil and a special salt. Served a little too cold for my tastes, but delivered all on the taste. Drank a glass of Brunello di montalcino.4pear tart with mascarpone. Im not a dessert guy but it helped close out the experience. The tart was like warm and moist inside with thin crunch crust on the outside. Shall I say more? I matched this desset with an incredible dessert wine: Muffato della Sala, which hit a home run.Will definately be back people. Enjoy the pics.

A victim of its own successI visited Cantinetta Antinori 5 years ago for the first time and was absolutely blown away by the experience and i could not wait to return to it to rekindle the experience I had during my first visit, The restaurant looked refreshed. Smart, impeccable Florentine decor and service staff. We arrived promptly at 7 for our reservation and were looking forward to a memorable night. The four of us ordered a bottle of the Antinori Rose sparkling to begin the night with an appetizer of Tuscan hams and bruschetta of kale. The former delectable while the latter was overtly salty. For the main I ordered the risotto which was tepid and uncooked. The other members of our group ordered the florentine steak slices and a fish. Both again uncooked fell flat. The former was chewy whilst the latter dry and flakey. We ordered a bottle of Red to chase down the meal. An Merlot and cab Sauv blend from 2016.So I left disappointed but I guess I was expecting so much that in my mind nothing but an exceptional experience would have done it for me. And regretfully the house of Antinori did not provide an exceptional experience from a culinary perspective. As I said the decor is impeccable. The service without a fault. The wines superb. But the food.....well, needs a reboot. So get cracking Antinori.

Wonderful noble space. Dissapointing service. Underwhelming food.

Pate was like fancy feast. Shrimp with calamari was good but the buscuit was burnt on one side. Shrimp with beans was good. Steak was undercooked and chewy. Made me wait 20 minutes for the bill. No toilet paper in the water closet.

Best meal Ive had on my Italy trip. Old Tuscan wine family. Great steak and reasonable price. Definitely an impressive meal.

A truly memorable meal with family and friends. Great Antinori wines and fantastic food — excellent pasta, beef and fish. Loved the intimate setting and feel to it. Would definitely return!

Wonderful place, second visit and not dissapointed. It has a lovely atmosphere, the food and of course the wine are amazing and the staff are friendly and made us feel very much at ease. All in all it was a special and memorable experience.

Food of an ethereal quality. I had the beef ragu made with homemade pasta with a glass of Chianti Classico. The food was amazing; I only wish I couldve had more. Would recommend to anyone seeking good food in Florence.

Most amazing restaurant. Atmosphere of being in someones home bit food and service of a Michelin 🌟. We asked to share a few items so we could try several dishes, and realized they were kind enough to bring us each full portions and not charging us for 2 portions. Each bite of food was better than the last. You also know a place is excellent when locals eat there too. Service was top notch. 5 stars across the board!!

Absolutely wonderful!! Extempore visit after a few aperitifs at the Verrazzano Spumantino - so worth it! One of my, if not THE, favorite places in Florence. Down to earth meal, uncomplicated, but oh (!!so well prepared, tasting of years of Italian traditional cooking. Pappardelle with ragu and a green side salad, with nice Péppoli olive oil. Wines were good too, glass of Chianti Classico from Badia a Passignano (a bit heavier and sweeter Chiantiand Il Bruciato Bolgheri (very much liked by my dinner company, a bit full/heavy for my taste). Can recommend!! 🍝🇮🇹👍🏽😘

The food is very special the wine is superb and the service is excellent. Whatever the time of year this is my go to place in Florence.I send family and friends there. To me every time I open the glass doors I know I have come to see friends and have a great time.and every time I feel like I belong
