Candia Springs Adventure Park - Water park in Merrimack, United States
Candia Springs Adventure Park in Merrimack
Description
Privilege
We did the Ariel Adventure high ropes course in the rain. It was great! The staff were really helpful when you needed them, but let you take on as much challenge as you were comfortable with. Our 7yo completed the course with only a little adult support. A good time for everyone.
MoreThe aerial course was so much fun and the staff was very helpful! Great experience!
MoreIt was a wonderful experience, but the pool definitely needed to be cleaned
I have to say I read some reviews prior to coming and thank god it didn’t stop me. This isn’t the ritz but it’s worth it.Even though the pond was closed due to how low the water was we all in all had a great time.We started our day on the rope course. Let me tell you, it took us all out of our element.I went with my daughter 7, my son 12, my friend 31 and me 34. I hope I spell this right, Icees got my daughter through the whole course like a true champ. I was so amazed watching her with my daughter and my daughter taking to her insistently.By the time we got to the zip line course Icees (in which I apologize if I am spelling it wrongwas so proud to watch Zoey go on her own and cheered her on and had lots of “I’m proud of you” for zoey.Andrew was a fun guy to have on our adventure as well. I am so glad we started our day with these two lovely young folks. I can’t forget Katie who was so kind and very informative. Our day ended and off to ax throwing my son went and my daughter went to the water slides. Sure the sides had rust stain marks but again it’s a water park. My daughter and I had lots of fun in the water slides. My son throughly enjoyed ax throwing and the gentleman over there was so personal-able.I have to say very nicely done! We will be back for sure.We are all so proud of each other, so thank you.
MoreBetween the trees, the water, the staff, and the beautiful days, this is one special local spot for fun, adventure and play!
MoreZip lines and ropes course were good for a couple hours of family time. However, the lake was closed, the splash pad was closed and half the waterslides were closed. Also, parents just watching kids and not participating in any activities had to buy a ticket. Based on amount of park that was actually open we should have gotten half price tickets. Not a very good value for the price of admission.
MoreWe have the most wonderful time this weekend making memories at Candia Springs! Our family of 7 (5 teenagerswent on our first ever zip lining adventure and the staff was a 12 out of 10! Knowledgable, personable, and calming for those of us with some height fears. We will be back again and again!! Thank you for being a part of the "best birthday weekend ever"
MoreWe were excited to try this place since we never been . And after staying at a hotel for a family getaway we figured my 4 year old would be able to do more here . Upon arrival we used the restrooms and they weren’t clean toilets were still dirty with toilet paper and toilet paper on the floor . We were the first ones there since we had a 10am reservation to use the water park .While waiting for the water to turn on in the splash pad we noticed not everything was working … my son excitedly went over and begin the fun .. 5 minutes of play time until he was hurt . The mat at the end of the little slide didn’t slow him down and he ended up on bare pavement . Skimmed. His back on his spine to were he needed first aid and his elbow . Waved over to the life guard walking in circles around the splash pad . He approached us and we showed him his back and elbow .showed no concern but handed us one single Band aid out of his Fanny pack . I walked to the restrooms with my hubby and we cleaned him up and asked for more bandaids from The gift shop . After this my son was ready to leave . The poolWas cloudy and he wanted nothing to do with it . Along with frogs being in it . I got the frogs out and let them go toward the pond . We will not be back here not a great experience and for the money it wasn’t worth full Price since he wasn’t able to use the water slides and the splash padWasn’t anything great . On the way out my little one told the woman in the gift shop and she didn’t seem to care he was hurt .
MoreWe brought our four-year-old granddaughter there recently and had a wonderful time in the splash pad area. We also use the water slides and found the staff to be very responsive to our every question. The park was clean, the staff is courteous. And it was a pleasurable place to visit. Can’t wait to go again.
MoreMy family had a great time here! The aerial course is challenging in spots and a fun workout. The water park is on the smaller side but has a lovely splash pad. The lifeguards are attentive and helpful.
MoreWent for the Guide Zipline Tour - It was a great start for 2 beginners that have never ziplined before.. At 63 its not something I expected to be doing... Staff was awesome and respectful...
MoreI brought the kids here for treetop adventure(Aerial Adventure Forest)and water park. The website doesn’t say anything about ticket is required although you’re not doing any activities inside. When we arrived, I showed the Groupon tickets to the cashier. She stated that whoever doesn’t have a Groupon ticket needs to pay $26($25 general admission plus $1 processing feein order to get in. I tried to explain to her that I’m not planning to play at the water park. The business owner jumped in and raised her voice saying that she made this rule. She was so rude and unwelcoming. Also, their staff members were also not well-trained. One of my kids was stuck in the treetop adventure, no staff was around to help. I had to walk around to find them. Later I found two staff members just standing there watching a boy climbing up. Really don’t understand why they can have two people watching one child and leave the other participants alone somewhere. Not recommended!
MoreFor us, it was exactly what we wanted. We started the morning with the challenging aerial adventure where we climbed, balanced, traversed cables high in the air, Ziplined and jumped off a platform in a leap of faith and bravery. Finishing was a confidence builder. Then we changed our clothes and made our way to the water park. 4 water slides. Dopamine rushes and a cool off. Climbing the stairs over and over, was good exercise if the small shallow pool doesnt really allow for vigorous swimming exercise. We enjoyed bowls of Hersheys sherbet and ice cream. A sweet treat.
MoreI’d strongly suggest checking the owner’s response to the ‘one star’ reviews and see if you’d still like to risk your weekend before you visit. Believe or not, the lady in the front desk simply told us she had right to treat her customers in whichever way she’d like to because she was the business owner. So good luck! You might think you are paying and bringing your kids for fun, but you could end up being mistreated and ‘educated’ like a small kid.
MoreHad great time with rope course but bad experience with the front desk. The lady at the gift shop front desk, who claimed herself the OWNER of the park, is however rude, very impatient, and somehow discriminated non-native English speakers. She seems to dislike GroupOn customers given her attitude of speak. So just be careful. There had been some bad experience from previous reviewers too. Joshua, the rope course tour guide is however very kind and nice. He kept the group motivated, cheered up the little ones for progress made. Here is what happened. The mom bought rope course tickets for her daughter and son with another friend family (myself). The boy was first refused at front desk due to under-weight so the mom decided to take the rope course ticket herself with the daughter. A wristband was put on her hand. Here comes with the weird park polity that once the wristband is put on one persons hand, it is considered used anyway, no matter it is actually used or not. After that, the boy was asked to LEAVE the "property" as he now has no ticket. He can not go to the waterpark either as he needs adult supervise. The mom debated with going rope course with daughter or waiting outside with son. She finally left her daughter with us and stepped outside the park with her son. Here is the note that the ticket was never actually used as she did not go to rope course at all but waiting outside. When we finished the rope course and headed to the water park, we switched the wristband from the mom to the boy (we thought it works because the ticket was not actually used). The owner chased across half of the park after us and said the boy has to buy a new $25 waterpark ticket as that wristband was put on her moms hand first(even she did not use anyway). We explained that the ticket was not used at all so we should be able to use it now for the waterpark only. The owner lady insisted it has been assigned to the mom and the boy MUST buy a new ticket to go play the water. We argued 2 sentences and decided to just leave without using the admission ticket at all since kids were observing the entire thing. The owner lady said "As the owner of this park, I am asking you and your family to leave my (personalproperty." WHAT?? What a business. We went there on a summer Sunday, and there were only about 20 cars on the parking lot. Again, the staffs that day at zipline are nice but just the management of this park, well, no words.
MoreI did the ropes courses and water park for a day. The water park is pretty modest, but it isnt that expensive and was not crowded, so it seemed like a good value. The ropes course was a lot of fun and offered a good mix of challenges.
MoreI came here for the first time with my kids (ages 3&5yesterday. We showed up at 2:45 so we got the "Twilight" price, which was supposed to be $16 per ticket, but we were charged $17 per ticket. So we paid $51 for the 3 of us to use the waterpark for 2.5 hours. I also cant quite figure out why kids tickets are the same price during the day and during twilight time, yet adults are discounted from $25 to $16($17during twilight time. It makes no sense, and it was not worth it AT ALL. All that the small kids are really able to use is the splash pad and small pool, since the water slides are way too big for them. Considering several towns have free splash pads, I think the price was robbery. I was really expecting a lot more for the price we paid. There should be lesser price ticket for preschoolers who wont be using the slides, because that price for a splash pads and tiny pool is insanity. I would probably pay $10 per ticket to come here, but no more than that. Im really disappointed in the price we paid vs what we got, and we will not be returning.
MoreGreat for a family day to cool off with kids and grandkids.
My kids had a blast! Friendly staff.
I absolutely love this gem! Theres a Waterpark AND a lake so you can have the best of both worlds. I also love that you feel like youre in the woods- not like water country where youre on a main road surrounded by businesses. Always playing the best 90s throwback music too! Not too crowded, the price is right, and the atmosphere is magical<3
MoreWe took our granddaughter the water park. She loved it! The park is clean, well maintained and friendly staff. We highly recommend this water park!
MoreI do not recommend this place. We traveled almost 2 hours to come to this place and although my son had a great time on the zip line guided tour, we did not have the best water park or customer service experience. After spending $72 we left after an hour and 30 minutes. We were in the lake for a total of 5 minutes this is including the time my son got stung by a wasp from a nest on the dock and me pulling him out of the water to put on his life jacket so we could swim back to shore. None of the life guards on duty asked what was going on or offered help. When I asked them for something to clean it they responded do you know where first aid is? No, we did not. We were given terrible directions and this was the first time my son was stung and no one asked. We finally found first aid and it was a very young girl and she said it was a horse fly bite. Which it certainly was a wasp anyone can tell the difference, even looking at my sons chest you could clearly see it wasn’t a horse fly. My son was terrified to stay because the amount of bees, wasps and flies at the facility. I get it bugs are everywhere, but this was unacceptable for a business that serves you children and families. Not only did that happen, but the pools and water slides were dirty with brown crusted to the sides. Also, there customer service was extremely unpleasant and refused to refund us the charge for the water park admission. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone.. I should have known when we pulled in to a parking lot with only 20 cars that this wasn’t the best place.
MoreGreat day trip! The slides are so fun and not a crazy wait like most places. The splash pad is great and all the water was a awesome temp! Cant wait to visit again and try out the bigger floating obstacle course in the pond and the zip lining
MoreHad a blast this past weekend for my Bachelorette Party! There were 8 of us altogether, 6 participating in the ultimate adventure. We all had a great time! Erin and Iris were so helpful during the aerial course. After we did the zipline; Erin, Connor and Alec were very knowledgeable! All of the staff were super friendly and helpful! None of us had been there before and almost all of us had never did an aerial course or zipline before but with the amazing staff we got the hang of it in no time! Many of my friends plan on going back again and bringing their friends and/or family. Even with the heat we all had a super fun time and I am so happy with how my bachelorette party turned out! Was definitely a memorable experience!! I highly recommend!! Definitely a fun place for kids and adults!
MoreThe Green slide was flexing way to much Both white slides were closed (weather was perfect so unsure whyand the park staff was not very friendly the obstacle course on the website was very large compared to what it looked like when we got there I only saw small children on it
MoreIts a small, cute place good for little kids or bigger kids.... Not much to do besides the few slides and splash pad area....they do have a ropes course and Zipline if your into that kind of thing....The cost to get in is very reasonable... Its just very limited on things for little kids to do besides the splash pad my 10yr old and 5yr old were board within an hr after driving 2hrs to get there 🤦♀️.... There is limited food choices so if spending the day be prepared to either bring your own food or leave early to get food.... However the owners are very nice people and do a good job with maintaining the place and keeping prices family friendly!! Would come back not for the day maybe a few hrs
MoreIts a nice water park definitely geared towards more younger kids. I personally believe the cost of admission tickets is way too expensive for just the water park, considering the very few attractions they have in the water park which are mostly geared towards little kids as well. For the same price I would rather go to water country or canobie lake park over candia springs. However that is just going by the water park portion of candia springs, as I have ywt to try the obstacle courses or ziplines there.
MoreWow! Fun park for its size! Obstacle course on the lake, short lines, 4 water slides different levels. Will try the ziplines next time we visit!
MoreExcellent family day!!! Plenty of lounge chairs and pools were clean!!!
Me and my girlfriend booked the the adventure forest. The front staff were very condescending and rude to be completely honest. Once you got past the front staff the zip line crew were really cool and fun to be around. The front staff just made the experience a lot worse. It is pretty costly as well, almost $100 for two people is a bit pricey. If the prices were a bit lower and the front staff didnt hate people, wouldve been a lot better.
MoreWe had so much fun here!
Well I have to say I was looking forward to a fun filled 13 bday there for myself and was impressed 👍 the everything passes where super easy to book however I was not at all impressed in anyway with the water park it was small and some of the slides were closed and I was kinda dirty and not a great vibe and the pools where to shallow BUT despite that Im giving it 5 stars because of the ropes course it was AWESOME 😎!!!!!!!!!!!!! the staff was super helpful and accommodating the course itself all 3 levels of it where amamazing 😍🤩😍🤩 😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍 🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍 sooo good and I cant wait to go back for my 14 bday this summer!!!
MoreOur Girl Scout troop came here for our end of the year celebration an had a blast!! The ropes course was amazing! A few girls were scared once they were in the trees but the staff were so encouraging an made it through.
MoreNot as much to do as Water Country in terms of the water park. Adults can use all the slides but smaller children may be limited on one of the slides. Swimming hole I like because it is deep and filtered. Inflatable play area is a little difficult to stand up on. Plenty of lifeguards present. Most of the water park is geared towards kids. I want to try the new Zipline and climbing obstacle course. Parking is free but entrance fees are high. The park has come a long way since Liquid Planet days . Food for sale inside. Family changing area available.Update: Saturday afternoon, September 2021; I did the Zipline Adventure. Six ziplines, a few bridges and a fun off-road ride at the end 🔚.The staff were very professional and friendly. They were patient with children who were to scared to try the ziplines. If you are afraid 😳 of heights, I wouldnt recommend you try ziplines. Bring a small bottle of 💦 water, you can get thirsty.I had fun! I recommend this place!Axe throwing attraction added to the park 🏞️. I didnt see 🙈 Jason Voorhees anywhere.
MoreReceived 2 passes for the "self-guided" aerial adventure at Candia Springs - got there and found out it is a fully-guided tour and reservations must be made in advance. Four hour round trip would have been wasted, and some kids pretty disappointed, if Chucksters in Chichester didnt have a such a great facility; their ropes course was a lot of fun!
MoreMy kids absolutely loved it! Pool is a bit small, and when my daughter went down the water playground slide she stratched her bum.Other than that, slides were a high light and the water obstacle course.
MoreIts a good local water park. They have 3 adult slides, a few kids slides, a swimming pool, and a small pond to swim in. The pond also has a large inflatable obstacle course you can climb, and then jump off of. You can also swim over to the dock and relax there if you prefer. The best part was the Tree Adventure and Zip line course, which features 10 separate zip lines. The course takes upwards of 2 hours, depending on your level of expertise. I want with my wife, our two children, and my sons friend. We were there for 5 hours, and never had a dull moment. We ended of day in the ice cream shop, where they featured 8 different flavors, amongst other options. I would definitely recommend, if youre within an hours drive!
MoreWe visited the water park for the first time today. It was a good value for the price. Things could use updating or replacing (the blue pads in the kids areabut the staff was friendly and helpful! Everything was clean and seemed very safe.
MoreZip line was really fun and scary the lake water obstacle course was awesome fun and a little scary. The waterslides were fun too but a little painful from not being properly aligned but you can wear a shirt to help. Would give 5 stars if they had a one more waterslide tower but the price was worth the visit for sure
MoreMy family and I love Candia Springs (Waterpark only). We bought season passes, which were $79 for us and only $29 for kids under 4. We live close by and are able to use the splash pad, pool, and pond area for the entire summer. On weekdays, the place is very quiet. Its important to mention that the place is VERY small, only one set of waterslides (4 total, but 2 are the sameand a small pool. On the weekends, the pool is packed, so we avoid it. If you live close by, it is totally worth a season pass.Edit to add: they no longer offer the season pass, but we did go back once and enjoy the park.
MoreCandia Springs with a fun time we did the complete adventure course and it was quite challenging. A fun time with the grandchildren.
MoreGreat, affordable day for family activities. We were a bit nostalgic as it reminds us of the 80s. Kids loved zip line and water slides. Would be great if there was options for food on site. Still, fun was had by all!
MoreI was so excited to take my toddler to this place for a day of fun, super close to our house as well. When we arrived, we were treated like we shouldn’t be there. The girl at the front counter was so rude and unwelcoming. I brushed it off and headed over to the water fun. This place is first of all, run down. Second, their staff is up your butt about everything, constantly saying something, following you, making you feel so uncomfortable. The whole place only has 3 umbrellas in the middle of scorching sun. I couldn’t be there with my 9 month old baby that we brought as well and left after an hour. I’m all set paying money and being here. Get it together for the love of God and stop hiring people that don’t want to work.
MoreWe went to Candia springs as a family to have a nice day and let our children have some supervised fun while allowing them to cool off. However our day was anything but. It started off great the girls in the check in area were very nice. Check in was quick and we were off into the water park.My children wanted to go into the lake to go on the wibit. The sign they have posted states life jackets are available for use if needed not that they are required. So my kids who are strong swimmers went into the lake to go on the wibit. They were told by the lifeguard that a life jacket is required for that portion of the lake which is fine safety first. However, they only have life jackets for children and youth and the highest weight limit in the youth jackets was 90lbs. So if you have children that are bigger or teenagers they do not have any life jackets for them. The life jackets were covered in mold and extremely beat up. Due to the weight and size limitations the life vests did not go my children so this woman started screaming at my kids the 2nd time they tried to go on the wibit. I had no idea who this woman was she didnt have a staff identification on so I just thought some crazy lady was yelling at my kids. So I went up to her and asked why she is yelling at children. She stated they need a life jacket to go on the wibit. Mind you their sign says life jackets are available if needed not that they are required. I then informed her that the life jackets they have do not fit bigger children or teens. She then gave me an attitude saying these are the rules. Which again are fine by me. However, its not fair for paying customers to be treated as she did myself or my kids. She then stated Im the owner. Ok great whats your point. I then reiterated that they do not have life vests to fit everyone which is not fair to paying customers. She said they were working in getting bigger vests but this wasnt my first time here we go every year multiple times and the life vests have always been the same size. She needs training on how to interact with customers and not be so rude to people visiting her business and supporting it. I wouldve given this review 5 stars had I not had this interaction with her as the park itself is great. However, if you have rude people representing your business it most certainly can bring a business down.
MoreWonderful day spent in a 92 degree day. The green open tube was the most fun. The kids splash area was great to accompany your small children. There was a pool too which was nice. You can bring your own cooler and food. They only sell ice cream and small snacks. We will return again ! Staff was attentive and polite.
MoreGreat places , so much fun small but is great.
Its rather small, smaller than I expected, but not crowded and especially good for kids. Dont expect anything exciting- there are 2 big slides for adults, 2 tall straight slides, a small pool, and a really nice childrens play area thats obviously the main water-themed attraction. We didnt try the zip lines or the other adventure options so I cant speak to those, but Id still go back with my son again for what we did see.
MoreAwesome. Absolutely liked it. Clean, well organized. On stage 2 think twice before starting. It is not that simple. It wss our first time but we will be back.
MoreA great place to take smaller children. A small water park where you dont have to worry to much losing your child at. 4 stars cause i couldnt find or get fried dough....
MoreGreat fun for the whole family. The adventure course is just challenging enough without being too difficult. The zipline over the water park is a lot of fun. For the water park, there are 4 water slides, a pool, and a lake with inflatable obstacle course & dock. At first, I didnt think that would be enough to keep everyone occupied, but it did and everyone was exhausted after a full day here. I highly recommend Candia Springs and I look forward to returning.
