Camping International Lido Luzern - in Luzern, Switzerland
Camping International Lido Luzern in Luzern
Description
One of the best campgrounds Ive been to. Very good location within walking distance from the city center. Friendly staff willing to help. Well kept and clean. Reasonably priced. Make sure to bring long cable as from some pitches its bit far to electricity box.
MoreBusy site was expensive and could be a bit cleaner but overall nice campsite with lovely views over the lake
MoreVery friendly staff. Near see and town. You can easily walk to town. Clean.
One of the best camps Ive been to. Very clean, nice location and helpful and friendly staff. We get the Luzern visitor card witch gives you free travel and various discounts. Highly recommended
MoreThe best camping I’ve ever been. Friendly staff, great pitch with green grass and individual electric station (be aware to carry with you the right connector industrial type 220 v or an adapter). The bathroom are extremely clean and they have also hairdryer. Fantastic! The price as everything in Switzerland is quite expensive. You can have breakfast there: 2 cappuccino with 2 croissant with a little cheese and a honey €15.
MoreThe campsite was completely full without reservation, but the staff was very friendly, also we could use their wifi for free. Toilets are clean.
MoreWe parked for free in the neighbouring par park.Lovely placeImpressive MunsterDO NOT VIST THE McDonalds WORST IN THE WORLD
MoreFilled in a reservation form on their online booking system, didnt get a confirmation, they cannot be bothered to pickup the phone.Poor management.
MoreThe camping is perfectly situated very close to Lucern center (15 min walkand has all amenities. Multiple large and bathrooms, bbq areas, table tennis, foosball table etc. But during high season is extremely crowded and the reception employees are not very friendly.
MoreLove this campsite, the staff are always friendly and helpful. The campsite facilities are always kept clean and the location is perfect for exploring the local area. The onsite restaurant is reasonably priced and offers a daily ordering service for bread and croissants.
MoreWe have fimily living there.Always nice going by and enjoying a day atthe lake. Close to the city to make a short trip.
MoreWe drove here and booked in for 7 nights. They offer a very limited amount of pitches but accommodated us without any problem despite being virtually full. Payment is on your departure day so youre free to up and move on if your plans change meaning you only pay for what you use as opposed to leaving early with no refund for unused nights. The facilities are absolutely first class. 2 big shower blocks, 3 toilet blocks, a fully equipped laundry with ironing boards, there are chemical toilet disposal sites, fresh drinking water taps, tyre pressure gauge and a selection of tools. Inside the main building there are lockers and fridges for rent. There is a small shop which doubles up as a bar and restaurant where you can also pre-order various breads for the following day, a sheltered BBQ area and the local shops are 10 minutes away. The main Lake Luzern is literally a 5 minute walk away, and Luzern main town is a beautiful 30 minute walk away around the lake. The campsite offer free bus travel for the duration of your stay.Anyone staying a few days to a week and wants to explore the area and visit the 3 main tourist mountains of Mt. Pilatus, Mt. Rigi and Mt. Titlis I strongly suggest getting a Tell Pass as all your bus, train, lake boat and cable car travel is unlimited.I maybe biased as I used to live in Luzern, but it is really a beautiful place to visit and this campsite is absolutely perfect. 🇨🇭
MoreMedium camping very near to Luzern, one can go walking or biking to the city center trough a very nice path next to the lake with very good views. Camping facilities are in bery good condition and always very clean. Staff is very helpful and friendly. There are washing and drying machines at very good price. There is also a bar. Access to the lake to do water activities is very near (less than 10min walkbut not at the door (looking at the map wasn’t obvious). It’s normally very full, I recommend coming early.
MoreAlways a pleasure when arriving with a smiling face to greet you.
Friendly staff very over priced for 1 night at €54 not advised to visit when it is wet as the ground is very boggy and the water does not sink in well.
MoreVery helpful and friendly staff, clean and well maintained facilities. Located only 5 walking minutes from the beachfront and Verkehrshaus it is very easy to find your way around. A fine bakery is about 15 walking minutes away and Luzern city center 7 minutes by public transportation. Transfer fee is included with your camping. Even for "newbies" like us it was very easy to get situated and a problem with our power supply was quickly sorted out by the attendant, smile inclusive. We highly recommend the Lido!
MoreNext to the lake. Near to town. Facilities provided was excellent.Tips: if you arrives late, just fine suitable pitch (the map is located at the registration counterand do the necessary check in/out the next day
MoreExcellent camping site.Easy access to the lake, the Lido, the transport museum and to walk into town.
MoreHighly recommended! We stayed there 3 nights with a motorhome. Facilities clean and comfortable. Staff very nice and helpfull. Location perfect for tourists who want to enjoy Luzern. Only few minutes walk to public transport, to beach, and few minutes walk to Museum of Transportation. Would love to go there again!
MoreNice camp, close to the Luzern town and lake. We received a discount for visiting museum of transport.
MoreSuperb location near transport museum. Clean wc and shower. Nice pitches.
Perfect place for a young couples and also family with kids. Stayed for one night in a tent. Parking place was available near the tent on the road. Wide offer of kiosk stuff including breakfasts and drinks. Perfect sanitary facilities!
MoreGood camp ground with good and clean facilities (even a dog shower 😃). Located right at the lake but without lake address.
MoreThe receptionist was so pleasant and welcoming! Great facilities, spacious, shaded site, close to the beautiful lakeside and city and national transport museum, which was brilliant, especially for kiddies. Quiet rule after 10pm was fully respected. Very impressed with the calm, relaxed vibe. Wish we couldve stayed longer....
MoreCamping Lido Luzern is conveniently located in the city. The city Center is a short beautiful walk or a bus pass is issued free from the camping reception. The camping amenities were great, with clean toilets, hot powerful showers and a place to clean cloths. The park is not too big overall and noise levels are relatively low. If you are looking for a camping trip in a beautiful area with lots to do for the entire family, this is certainly one to look further at.
MoreReally bad experience! We got rejected because of our age! They said before that we are welcome to stay in. But after we arrived they rejected us because we were a group of six friends (family members are ok). That’s not a valid policy! Not recommended!
MoreWhen we arrived, they told us they will not allow a group of 6 young adults in the camp. We drove for several hours just to be rejected. This age discrimination is not acceptable. We didn’t plan to party in the camp, we wanted to explore Switzerland. Very unprofessional behavior!
MoreA very popular campsite so if you dont have a reservation then get there early during summer. It is expensive but the facilities are in a good and clean condition. The pitches vary in size. There is a restaurant on site with decent prices.
MoreGood location near the city center, good wifi and clean sanitary, but small pitches for family tent and a bit noisy. Unlike what was told (we should say 1 day before if we would like to extend), they rented our pitch without warning.
MoreI used to live there with Franz my husband. The 1st year was interesting & funny, after that it all went down hill. The regulations for residence were very hard.We were told we had to sort out our own space, so when I cut down the hedges & trimmed our surroundings as everything was so close to the tent & trailer, I was banned from doing that.
MoreGood well-managed site on a great location. Only 3 stars because of the constant noise from leaf-blowers and sadly dog poo in the kids playground although thats not the fault of the site and they acted quickly when I told them.
MoreThis camp is amazing! There is everything and the city center is 20 minutes on foot and IT is nice walking. And dogs are allowed :Thank you for this perfect experience!
MoreFront desk people were very kind, willing to help with their best effort, it was a pleasure to stay there :the shower was good too, we faced no problem with anything.
MoreThe camping is located very close to the lake and easy accessible from the centre of Luzern. When checking in you receive a ticket you can use to travel for free by bus during your stay. Sanitary was ok. Not very clean, also not too bad. Staff is friendly and helpful.
MoreWe have been there in August one night. The camping has a place to cooking yourself or eat and there is a restaurant too. The facilities are right. The pitch for tenda is small.
MoreGreat campsite with clean facilities. Quiet but expensive compared to all campsites stayed at in France but I guess for Switzerland possibly not bad. Near the lake, near city centre, I think it’s near a water park area lido type thing because I could hear games going on the next day when leaving. They also provide free day bus tickets when we arrived so didn’t have to walk the 30 mins to town. Very nice
MoreWell organized place with all the facilities you need. Clean toilets and showers. Good WiFi for a small amount . Helpful and friendly staff. Easy to communicate in English. Free bus and train to the city included. About 2km walking to the city along beautiful path by the lake.
MoreWinter months so limited facilities. BUT lovely hot showers and very clean. Great spot by the Lake and nice walk into Lucerne. You also get a free bus pass which came in handy.
MoreNicely located campsite near the city centre. Awesome with free travel pass. Grassy tent spots, but not very inspiring. Clean amenities.
MoreNice place to camp. Well organized, clean and really next to the lake and the transport museum (you have to pay a visit, its amazingand 1km far from Luzern. Camping you get a discount for museum and free bus ticket to go Luzern. From Lido you can take the historic boat an have a trip on the lake while looking at the old huge engines, still working... you have to see it!
MoreGreat campsite just a 30 minute walk from the Lucerne centre or hop on the bus just up the road for for free with your visitors pass. Excellent facilities and friendly staff. Powerful showers and spotlessly clean. The transport museum is next door, 5 min walk. Very close to the lake, maybe one day someone will pull down the ugly swimming pool across the road and the campsite can extend to the shore!!
MoreLovely clean campsite, some of the pitches are quite short. Cannot book but if you arrive early afternoon then you should get in (even in Augustbut come late afternoon they tend to be fully booked. Lido across the road and free use of the bus/tram into town is a nice touch. 2 minute walk to the lake.
MoreGreat campsite near to Luzern. In the price is also a bus ticket included so you can travel for free in to the town. Very clean campsite and extremely friendly staff. Only 1 minute walk to the lake and 3 minutes to the verkehrhaus (interesting exhibition about traffic). Small restaurant and supermarket on the campsite.
Moreperfect location, by the lake and leisure center, next to museum, 4 stops away from the center. You get free bus pass to travel around. The place is perfectly organized, great , clean and spacious bathrooms and cleaning dishes area. there is even the hair dryer. You can have a grill or eat by the tables that are available next to the reception area. The lady was very friendly and gave us lots of usuefull information. Great place. I would highly recommend it.
MoreAmazing. One of the best campsites I ve ever been to. Id go again and would recommend to anyoneAdditional info bellow:.Free Wi-Fi through the WHOLE CITY.Shop on site.Friendly staff.Great company (as in other people in site).Access to pool, restaurant and lake (Lake has diving boards into itand theres a lively and lovely town nearby..mini golf nearby.free bus use+ Its Switzerland so thats a plus.Overall its amazing.
MorePros:- small and large pitches- bathroom facilities- close to LucerneCons:- so very noisy. Unruly children shouting, as early as 7:20am- the lido over the road which looks like it’s from the 70s entirely blocks the view of the lake from the campsite- bathroom facilities very dirty- not allowed to park car on actual pitch so cannot use it to get some privacy by creating a barrier between your pitch and the one next to itIn summary, I do not recommend this place for a calming stay. Definitely avoid if that’s what you want.
MoreNice campsite, only a 30 minute walk to the center of Luzern. To bad the view to the lake is blocked by the large lido building, otherwise I would give 5 stars. Friendly staff.
MoreWe really liked this campsite. We only stayed one night to visit the transport museum which is 200m away. The campsite was quite full but there were good sized pitches and it didnt feel crowded. The facilities were faultless. It is well located for visiting Lucerne but we were just passing through so didnt do this. Only thing is that it was very expensive.
MoreVery clean and very well organized. Its a pretty big place and full in the Summer months but still feels very relaxed and quiet at night. Across the street from a great "Seebad". Next door to minigolf etc. 400m from the Swiss Transport Museum which excellent for families.
MoreThis is a well organised campground in a beautiful region at the shore of Lake Lucerne, 20 minutes walk to Lucerne or a fast bus ride from outside the camp. The staff were helpful. Facilities were clean, but there should be more of them to cope with the busy holiday period. The sites are large and sheltered under tall oak trees. Camp fees and the Wi-fi were very expensive. Highly recommended if you dont mind paying.
