I love this park and wish the council would put more love into the landscaping and development. Getting a permanent toilet block out of the way of the main park area will be nice - project is due for completion in September. Currently there are a bunch of dank, vandalised porter potties.. Right in the middle of the park.. Right in between the main concentration of park benches.. Not a vibe.Park could do with some gazebos, barbecues, and some proper commissioned street art on the far wall.

Nice park to take a stroll with your pets, there is a small playground for kids just wish there were some tables for a lil picnic however there is plenty of green to sit ect.

Looks like a great park during midday or somewhere around that hour. For the very short inner west area and close to the city. It gets the thumbs up 👍👍

This park is wild. Last time I went there there were two separate fights with the police. The time before there was an unexpected fire juggling show. The festival each year is a lot of fun. I house sat across the road for a little while and there used to by gypsys living in the parking spots by the park so the parking is houred now.

It was quiet until a lot of people brought their dogs out to play. There are some people checking on parking so be careful not to overstay

One of my favorite parks in the inner west.Its not huge , but its got the best vibe.There are usually many dogs playing around and people having picnics :)Its lovely.

This place is pretty good.The campo shopping list:- bag of goon from BWS King Street- Orange fruit drink IGA King Street(Then you can buy cups and mix them or you can drink some goon then some orange fruit drink (in that order))I did a nang here once it made me hallucinate.Whatever check it out if you’re cool 😎

Great spot to relax in the sun or spend time with some four legged friends. Close to the Newtown restaurant and shopping strip.Located on the northern side of Camperdown cemetery the park is only a 5 minute walk from Newtown station with lots of takeaway food options for an impromptu picnic.Lots of space and good lighting which is great for winter when you need to take the dog out for a walk and it’s after 5pm.Current dog-off-leash times are 24 hours weekdays and from 4pm (5pm - summer timefor most of the park - check maps for details.There is also a kids play equipment on the western side and some quieter grassed areas on the Newtown side.

If you love dogs, you already love this park. Bring some chips & youll instantly have 35 new friends.

Fabulous playground with two sand pits (although some suspect items in the sand were found pre-lockdown). Beautifully maintained lawns and lots of shade provided by stunning trees.

Love an off lead dog park, but it’s the cemetery I love most! It’s maintained by volunteers, rich with plants and stories. Dogs are allowed in there too!

Camperdown park is a great place to relax in the sun and read a book but also hang out with a big group of friends and have a picnic. The park is also dog friendly, so youll get to meet many furry friends on your visit.

What is there to hate about a park adjacent a quiet cemetery? Not only can you take pics with an urbex graffitied cemetery wall in the background, you can have a drink on the *chefs kiss* grass with your mate whilst staring at the planes which pass by every few minutes. Ever wanted to have a Friday out in the Inner West and also want to look at stars or have a lil breather? This is the place to go.And the playground round the corner is pretty good Im sure.Only giving it 4 stars because although you can find cute dogs around and an occasional mass spontaneous gatho, there aint a bathroom here so look in a local bar or try Newtown station if its not closed

It is a lovely park suitable for people who love dogs. We celebrate a friend birthday and we had such a lovely time. We were lucky as the weather was really nice too.

Nice park, can be pretty packed on a sunny weekend, or even a mild evening. Has a nice off leash dog area but no fences and bordered by roads all around so dont bring your pup if theyre an escape artist!

Decent park, very big size good for dogs I imagine. Fun for picnics with mates and a good place to stop and eat lunch. No bathrooms which is kind of annoying but not the end of the world. Lots of emos and eshays smoking in the graveyard and being loud though- you can hear it in the park sometimes. Not much shade either if busy but if not its easy to find a shady place to sit.

Love this park. If you are a dog owner/dog person definitely visit the park. There is a kiosk you can grab your coffee and off-leash walk with your puppies. Everyone is so friendly😍Sydney park is a great spot to take the kids. Good playgrounds and plenty of walking and biking areas. Always nice a clean!

Love to go here to relax and watch the world go by. Its highly entertaining most days to watch all the dogs playing together. Lots of space to either sit and take it all in or play some footy with friends. Has an excellent play area for little kids. And close to public transport. What more could one want

Nice park to hang out in with some drinks and snacks.Fantastic for people watching, plane watching, dog watching. Kite flying would probably also be good if there aren’t a lot of people chilling on the lawn — tree and power line free which is important when it comes to flight flying. Just keep in mind, being inland from the sea might not be the windiest place to fly a kite.Close to Newtown and all the amenities there. No public toilet but the Courthouse hotel had a toilet and isn’t too far of a walk. Good opportunity to do some more puppy spotting in then beer garden.

Has a children playground nearby and surrounded with green park. Great for family outdoor activities and picnic. Beautiful street art on the walls too. There are various interesting street art murals at the nearby streets too.

I’m so glad to have this park as a local. With family, kids, partner, friends, dogs and yourself, this place is for everyone. I love to just laying down on the grass and enjoy picnic at the sunny day. There are plant of benches so you can enjoy cute dogs watching too.This is the place for Newtown festival held in every November.

Its a very common park. But its so near to King Street in Newtown and you can have a quick stop here. The weather was beautiful and I got to see some birds here at the park. It was quite and serene... I was at peace having some thoughts, sitting here. There were some people and families came by. The park itself was not that clean, though.Its a nice park to just chill and have your own snacks and drinks here.

Best park there is in Sydney I think. Camperdown Memorial Rest Park is a great park for meeting up with groups. There are a few areas with shade trees that are handy for mums and bubs groups or parties. These are prime location so arrive early if you need room for a larger group. Im not a big fan of the playground because it lacks play equipment for infants and toddlers. There is enough space for this equipment to be added. Magic Yellow Bus meets there on Wednesday mornings 9.30-12.30, and provides activities for children under age five. its wise to give the toys a wipe off with antibacterial wipes if your little one will mouth them. Be aware that heaps of groups gather in the park for socialisation that isnt child friendly. Its also a popular park for dog owners to let their dogs freely play. Keep your senses about you, and enjoy the wide open space. Visit the adjacent cemetery and its historic trees if youre game.

<3 DogsThere is a large area on the Federation side of the park which is off leash. So many happy puppies about the place. Great place for locals to mingle and chat while their pups have a run. Popular area to laze around on a nice day.Australia street side has a great park for the kids that is fenced (so handy)Lennox St side is a great spot for lunch time sit and ponder. Lots of picnics here tooFrom Church St you have the wonderful grounds of the church and cemetry.The one problem... no public toiletsOh and for those who adore pooch. I was walking through the park to meet a friend for Thai and this view captivated me. It’s very Newtown, I think and I loved how the contrasts worked together.

The Camperdown Memorial rest park is a large sunny park just behind King Street Newtown. It is popular with dog owners because your dog can go off the leash in some sections provided it is friendly. Others just come to enjoy one of the few large open spaces in the area. It is quite safe but not fenced so if your doggy is a runner, dont let it off the leash!

This park has a very special place in my heart. Ive lived in the area for seven years, and always loved coming here. Its is something peaceful about it although it is never quiet, as so many people are drawn to it. The best part about the park is that menu different types of people coming here, bringing some kind of entertainment: flame jugglers, hippies playing music, schoolkids skipping, bartenders practicing flipping bottles. Its never boring in the park!

Great park. All the dogs are running around and having a blast. I get in a great mood seeing people and dogs having fun. And the little kids playground is also used a lot. I often go there for my lunch.

Perfect for taking a walk with your dog and relaxing for awhile, away from the city. The graffiti definitely makes the park have a unique atmosphere.

This park is awesome. It is great for walking your dog. On nice days it can get very busy with people having picnics and relaxing. Its got a nice outlook to the north.Dont forget to explore the cemetery around the church, its very interesting.In fact, the entire park used to be a cemetery before they reduced its size.

Beautiful views with lots of wide open space to participate in any activities or to let your dog run around. On top of this it has a great enclosed playground with lots of shade. This park always seems teeming with life yet you can always find a nice quiet place to relax.
