300 Chemin Dunlop, Chelsea, QC J9B 2N3, Canada, Ottawa
Small ski resort featuring a terrain park & base lodges, along with an aerial park with zip lines.
The rides were amazing no doubt! But the only place to eat (cafeteria within the premiseswas really a bad experience.Half of the food was not available even when it was not even middle of the day and the left over options that I had to choose were super oily and wasn’t worth the high price at all.I would suggest: Carry your own food and enjoy the rides!
Nice and peaceful place with resturant with washrooms and huge car parking for all kinds of cycling, sking, zip line ride, hiking trails
I have been here twice. This year there was not a long waiting hours for the mountain coaster. I love the experience specially in the fall. The restaurant was not good quality.
Dont missed it in fall as well
The most poorly organized activity in Canada. How imcompent do you have to be to offer an activity like this without offering time slots upon reservation? We bought tickets for the luge and arrive to be told we have to wait 2 hours which actually ended up being almost 3 hours for a 5 min ride down the mountain. You guys are living 15 yrs in the past or something to have planned this event this poorly? The people in charge of the reservation should be fired.
TERRIBLE Experience! Never again!Nothing excuses the shocking level of disorganisation and miscommunication in this place!Had we been told from the beginning that we would need to wait MORE THAN 3 HOURS! We would have changed our plans and made actual good use of a precious october weekend afternoon! But NO! Instead, we were told it’s 1 hour wait, then we got the sms that said it’s our turn only to be actually told it’s another hour because they had started the day late due to a storm God kniws where. Then it was sorry it’s too jammed up there, then sorry many people booked 2 rides so they are still in the system so you have to wait more! Nobody actually had a clue what was happening in that park! When we got really cold and tired of being lied to we left depressed and frustrated.Avoid at All costs!
TERRIBLE AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Arrived at 1:00pm for an alpine coaster ride, waited 2hours + to finally be told another 45min wait would be needed. Yet, they sent us a text saying the estimated time of wait was 31 minutes. Terribly planned, they should learn how to better organize their logistics from other (biggermountains such as Ski Bromont, Montagne d’expériences or Sutton.
Its a great place to visit and have fun. They are allowing kids too. Ride takes around 3 minutes. Its hilarious and totally worth it. Smart to buy tickets online ($20 approxand check in ahead of time. There is a wait list and it takes around 10-15 minutes.
Camp Fortune, we rented a bike for mountain Biking. It was fun but the weather was raining. The mountain Bike was 78CAD with 800CAD deposit.
Great time on the mountain 🏔️ coaster. The kids loved it. The staff was very friendly and professional. 👍
Did the treetop trekking. A ton of fun. Loved the experience. Some obstacles were tough. Lots of zip lines. Very beautiful environment. Highly recommend.
It was so fun we went there in winter and it was a blast. The staffs were really nice and my teacher was nice too. I’m 100% going next winter.
Simply the best place ever for going skiing or snowboarding! Perfect for anyone from beginner to advanced level⛷🎿
I booked a ski pass for one day and had to cancel due to covid. Camp fortune let me rebook for new day with no issues! Today was my first day skiing and my girlfriend and I went on green hill I was too scared to go all the way down so a very friendly ski instructor named Bob helped me down the hill. Bob was very kind! Camp fortune is a great place to go skiing with excellent customer service and staff! I would highly recommend going there!
Very nice Ski Resort... very nice staff, and good service...
Had loads of fun there, there are many tracks to try out, I must inform you not to buy the full day pass for the lift if you are only going there to try the bunny hill, because it is your first time. The only payment I made was to rent my gear from them, they staff were very kind and informative, I found snowboarding tough so the staff let me change to ski gear, free of charge.Great place to have fun especially with family and friends. They also have an indoor cafe with big variety of foods. They also have coffee and hot chocolate.
Excellent place to learn ski and seasonal skiing. Location is convenient from Ottawa. There are lots of walking and hiking trails that can accessed in all seasons.
We had a wonderful experience at Camp Fortune. My daughter’s 1st ski, she took the Ski 101 Class. She really enjoyed her teacher and we are excited to come back again.
Great time. Not to much traffic in the hill. Workers are fantastic and the hill is well maintained.
The staff throughout where fantastic, from sign-in to rentals to the chip truck to lift staff, all wonderful people. But a special mention of ski patrol member Sara, we had a group member get hurt and she was the best, a friendly, warm, caring, considerate, awesome personality, she made the whole ordeal a very positive experience, we loved her. The automated lift gates were the best, quick and easy, the hills were fun and the fresh snow was a blast, was a great day and we will be back.
This is a great hill but during the 2021-22 season the lift lines have been very long, longer than in previous years. Unfortunately, this has reduced enjoyment of the skiing experience. Hopefully this issue can be fixed.
Camp fortune claims to be operating at “reduced capacity” with limited ticket sales; however, this could not be further from the truth. This picture is from a Wednesday evening. I’ve never seen Fortune this busy, even on a holiday weekend. I have been skiing here for 15 years and a pass holder for 5 years. Not impressed, only a matter of time before public health sees this absolute mess and shuts the place down.
Only 30 mins from home, and so much fun. Has a couple slopes totally fine for beginners, and a bunch more blue ones. Does get busy after 2. But it has night skiing. Rental services are so much better than other hills.
We went for snow shoe in and trail walking and it was a fun filled experience. Trails were excellent and safe as well. We spend the entire day and camp has excellent facility for ski as well
A great place, close by, nice staff, good hills and runs.Camp Fortune is about 30minutes drive for us over into Quebec, compared to 45minutes to the nearest Ski Hills in Ontario.Roads leading to Camp Fortune recently repaired and much more pleasant, smoother, than years past.NFC lift and gate passes, online ticket purchase, all very modern and easy to use.Remember, with this (damnablepandemic, there are limits for the number of tickets available per day.(CampFortune staff are nice, friendly, and great with kids and noobs (adults like me).
I had nice experience for skiing this weekend. The staff was very supportive and smooth.I rented the equipment and went with day pass.RFID card for lift pass available.
We did the zip lines- and had a blast. A few tears of fear, but we powered thru and look forward to conquering the adult course next!
The kids loved activities (Obstacle course). However , My 3rd daughter did not meet the hight for the obstacle course, her and I ended to doing the mountain coaster which was fun as well. Staff were very friendly. I do recommend this place.
I am willing to zipline whenever and wherever I can, so I was enthusiastic to book with Camp Fortune Aerial Park and Zipline. I had a great time there and really got a workout on the Zipline obstacle course. While there there were several great staff but it was Chloe and Grace that stood out for me. Grace went above and beyond to assist me throughout the checkin process. She made sure that I was not left to figure out anything alone. Chloe handled the large group with an outstanding level of professionalism and strength. She gave a great safety and course instruction demonstration and presentation. She was extremely kind. She jumped to the rescue when a younger participant (who I had met with his mum just that dayhad some difficulty getting across the rock wall portion of the obstacle and helped him conquer the course. She was always quick to climb up to assist even when I needed help exiting the course. There are many other activities which I hope to enjoy soon including the zipline obstacle course again. It was a workout and a full days worth of fun!
We went to the mountain coaster it is 22$ per person. The weight mentioned in the site is not the limit I was able to ride and I m much more than the limit . We had to wait to be able to go up the mountain . The rude is not that long and in the turns it feels not very stable . I still recommend to try it once . They take your video and pics and sell them to you later .
Unfortunately it rained the entire time so wasnt able to fully explore the trails. And the chairs only operate on Wednesday and weekends so it meant I had to bike up and was limited on the trails I could take.Would like to see more riders use this place so it can be "opened" on more days.
Mountain coasters are amazing! But the price for 1 adults with kid is very high, in my opinion. It coast 28$+ tax per one ride, 3 rides 65$.
It was my first time going to this mountain. I loved all the different path options. It was easy to rent the equipment. They were following all the Covid guidelines, everyone had to wear masks at all times, I felt very safe. I thought it was so much fun, can’t wait to go again! 😊⛷
Great little hill easily accessible from Gatineau and Ottawa. Four chair lift alleys lifting from different base points, one major chalet at the central lift and one satellite chalet at the bottom of the Skyline lift, a decent range of runs from easy to hard. It’s local so we aren’t expecting Whistler here. GREAT snow board and trick ski obstacle course that is well maintained, as well as a cool little mogul piste. Well kitted for the pandemic with gates that open automatically from an RFID card in your pocket, which you can charge up online. @CampFortune I took down one star since I think you could work a little more on opening side trails and glades.
Camp Fortune is a decent sized hill with a variety of terrain. My only previous visit was before COVID, so I was impressed and reassured by the screening at the entrance, staff wearing/enforcing masks, and the limiting of ticket sales (parking lot was half full!). In general, this hill has some high quality rental equipment-much better than edelweiss, and fast service with knowledgeable staff in the rental area. Plenty of sanitization stations throughout. Even a food truck and snack shack. People were respectful of rules and the hills were relatively quiet on a weekday. The only downside to camp fortune is the chairlifts. Not only are they incredibly slow, but some also swing frequently during the first few seconds of embarkment, causing skis to be dragged on the snow behind you (twisted my leg muscle for a split secondif they’re not immediately raised. Additionally, the Meech section-which is highly underrated-closes at 3:30, despite light till 5pm. All this to say it would have been 5 stars with better lifts/operation as the terrain here is impressive.
Pretty nice place, incredible at accommodating and adapting to pandemic for pass holders. If you go for the day you will have to buy tickets a few days in advanced if available.
Great for learning to snowboard and very reasonably priced. Was under $40 per person with taxes on a Saturday. I had never successfully snowboarded before and after a few hours on the bunny hill (it has 2 “runs”I was able to try one of the real runs successfully multiple times! COVID measures were very thorough with people asking questions before they let you in and staff making sure people were distanced. Made me feel like snowboarding/ skiing can be one of the safest activities this winter.
We have given up on Gatineau Park for 2020. It is super busy with many road closures. Camp Fortune was where we ended up on our last failed attempt to visit a certain spot. We are glad we just went with it. You can hike up to the top of the ski hill on either a gravel path or switchback trails in the trees. The views are beautiful. We took the paths through the trees and loved it. Just be aware that mountain bikes are on those paths as well so be cautious and get out of their way. Be aware of your surroundings. It is well worth the time.
It was a steep climb last Sunday but the scenery along the way is stunning
Amazing staff. The slopes are nice. The only issue we had, was they didnt had any power from the hydo in the morning.
This a great hill to ski with family. Lots of variety, real snow and great facilities. I highly recommend it.
Awesome place for our first visit! We took our son for his first Skiing experience and he had a blast! We went on a Saturday night which had 2 for 1 passes which is a sweet deal - we rented equipment to use (the equipment is well kept and of good quality- the rental process was quick and easy considering the amount of people there on a 2 for 1 night - we only kept to the practice hills but everything seemed to be well maintained and monitored - Would highly recommend! 😃 👍
SO MUCH FUN! Went with 4 other people. Id suggest going a little later in the afternoon as groups with children tend to venture through the course slower. It becomes more difficult with each course, so 1 is easy and 6 is hard. It is quite the upper body workout, so be prepared for that. Water stations throughout the course were appreciated on such a hot day. We went during their buy one get one half off promotion, totally worth it! I highly recommend this fun activity.
Its kind of funny the place is really nice of course its a ski hill I was there playing disc golf the disc golf course is only half as big as it usually is because of all the renovations and work theyre doing on the hill. The only pictures I got weary of this beautiful mushroom which Ive failed to identify yet. Should have taken a couple of pictures of the Hill. By the way I had lots of fun it was a beautiful day there was lots of bugs but they didnt bite. And there was a gentleman there that give me 20 minutes of this time to show me where the course is
Great place to ski and snowboard close to Ottawa
Lots of Fun! I love how theres water stations around the park. Halfway through you can step off and get something to drink. Staff where super friendly as well. Would totally do again. Lots of fun.
It is great for beginners and intermediate skiers or for a quick ski trip. Not sure why they are spending money on upgrading the ski ticketing system when just about everything else can use improvement. Gets extremely crowded in the building, the lifts are slow and the runs are limited and long lines everywhere. Basically pretty outdated and limited. No more group passes. But it is a beautiful spot and only about 30 min drive to Ottawa.
We take our winter break to Camp Fortune, we have done the Christmas camp for the past two years and we have not been disappointed. The instructor are so caring, loving and patience. Our family of four now enjoys winter sports thanks to them, we did the sky and snowboarding camp I cant recommend it enough.
Camp Fortune is the perfect ski hill for both beginner and intermediate riders. The runs are simple, yet loads of fun. With multiple chairlifts and riding options available, its fun for the whole family!Freestyle riders can enjoy Fortunes terrain park beautifully crafted and tested by the Fortune Freestyle Team. Theres a great selection of boxes, rails, and jumps that vary in skill level. A great option to learn or perfect your tricks! The food and lodge services are a great addition to the already amazing hill. The lodge has a cozy feel, and riders have the option to partake in the 18+ bar. As for food, Id recommend the poutine!Overall, Camp Fortune is one of my personal favourite hills in the Gatineau area. The perfect balance of challenge and fun makes for a very enjoyable ski experience. Highly recommended!
Ive been skiing here since I was 3 years old, so for almost 11 years. Camp Fortune is great. The snow is well groomed, prices low and the staff is very friendly. More importantly, the skiing is awesome. There are runs for all levels, from complete beginner to advanced. Its close to Ottawa, and while its no Whistler, I love this place. Its my second home and I look forward to going to Camp Fortune every weekend for racing. No, it dosent have meters of powder or kilometer long runs, but youll truly have a wonderful experience, and make memories that will last a lifetime.(Not sponsored lol)
