Camp Faribo - in Faribault, United States
Absolutely loved staying here. Owners and Camp Hosts were all so sweet and nice. Pool was nicely heated. Clean campground Owners and Camp Hosts were going around golf carts helping us park our camper. Asking if we need anything. Bathrooms clean. They did close them at 8:00 I used them a couple times when we were at the band or playing bingo. Which they were open until after the activities. But we really didnt need them because we had our camper.Loved the activities they planned every day. Kept us busy. Kept us on our toes. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody and everybody. We are definitely going to be going back over and over. I cannot wait till next year!!!Thank you all for making us feel welcome and great memories!!!!!Till next year!!
been camping here for very long time and the activities never disappoint
Very disappointed that the bathrooms close at 8pm until 8am.
We love Camp Faribo!! The grounds are well maintained, there planned events, and the owners are amazing! The pool is clean. Bathrooms/showers are clean and cute!
Was quiet not alot of traffic but the leash rule was not followed. Had to clean our area up from dogs relieving themselves in our camp area. Cats jumping up on our Pickwick table. Going back? Probably not
A great little getaway close to town if you need something. Friendly fun atmosphere. A great place check it out.
Not a bad place. Smaller then the map lets on. Pool is nice. Never have I been to a place that shuts their pool, laundry and bathrooms down at 8pm. Had multiple family members visit during our month stay. Not one impressed by this place. Never been to a camp ground that does not allow screen tents. We will never go back.
As many others have said, I felt like I was in jail and being watched by the warden on his golf cart. I was told very sternly to stay off the grass, but sitting at my camper I could see 4 cars parked on the grass. I was also told no rugs larger than 2’x3’ because they were trying to save the grass, but when you walk around the park there’s tents out in front of campers, there campers with wood decks and huge rugs in the grass….. but I can’t have one.The worst part was the distance between the shared water hookup and the sewer hookup was the largest I’ve ever seen at a campground. If you stay here you’ll need 25’ of water hose and 25’ of sewer hose. I could only hook up to water for the night as I couldn’t reach the sewer at the same time (15’ hose)Looking at other campers, they had 3 10’ hoses hooked together to make the span to the sewer. The pool was nice. But it is absolutely not heated at all. It was 85 degrees when we stopped and couldn’t stay in pool for more than 15 min.I do not recommend this place.
Great campground with great people.
Janet and Steve are amazing campground owners, who take pride in their campground and it shows! Bathroom/shower rooms were remodeled a few years ago and are always well kept and clean. Playground was also updated a few years ago, and our kids love it! The pool is a huge plus, great for all ages! The grounds are always well kept and clean, and the lot sizes are much larger than a lot of other campgrounds Ive gone to around the area. The office is adorable with lots of items to purchase (snacks, clothing, home goods, etcCampground is close to town, but for enough away at the same time. We will definitely be coming back every year!
Park is very peaceful midweek. But from Friday thru Monday it is packed. The sites are extremely close together and poorly designed. The weekends brought rowdy people into the campground and filled the pool area with kids and adults cannon balling into the pool. It says the pool is heated on the website but it wasnt heated at all. Could have used it. The pool is an old design and the steps going into it were dangerous. The showers were dingy and you had to pay for them. I couldnt figure out how much it would cost for a decent shower as there was no info on that. About 2/3 of the park were long term campers. Water pressure was terrible and water was cloudy. A neighbor advised us not to use surge protectors on the electric or power wouldnt work. Trees were in need of trimming. The laundry area was poorly designed with washers on one end of the room and dryers on opposite wall at the other end. No carts to move wet clothes between them. And no folding area.We would not stay again.
Friendly, welcoming and peaceful.
Very friendly and well maintained campground.
Grounds are clean. The staff was very friendly and the pool was heated and felt great.
Love this campground! Everyone is so nice here! We were just there this past weekend and hope to go at least 1 or 2 more times this year. Everyone is so helpful! We have a small camper and this was the first time we used it and my husband had a few questions about something and the employees were more than willing to help answer questions! Keep up the awesome work, Camp Faribo! Well definitely be back!
Sites are to close together and seems like they jammed them in there. Its a great place if you just want to spend the night or out and about during the day time. We put our awning out and it almost touched the RV in the site next to us.
Great campground. We go there for the eagles 5 district camp out.
Nice quiet campground 🙂 close to town swimming playground trail
Park has new owners who are very friendly and great people. They continue to make improvements to park. Definitely would recommend this campground
It was a nice camp ground. Sites were a little smaller then I was used too. Full hook up was nice along with all the people were Vere nice also. Love the activities that they had for the kids.
Nice campground, well used, many seasonal campers.
Camp Faribo was awesome. First off very friendly staff. We had a last min change to our trip itinerary and they were able to reserve us a water/elec hookup for RV a couple weeks before labor day weekend (after i called 4 other rv parks that were booked solid. Was put on a waiting list for FHU, and luckily upon arrival, a long term guest finshed work early and left, allowing us one of the best FHU spots there (imo). Plenty of shade and grassy areas for the dogs.Lots of activities for kids and adults during labor day weekend. Everyone looked like they were have a great time. Clean bathrooms and showers. Showers are coin-op $.25 for 5 min.Wish we couldve enjoyed the city of Faribault, but we were visiting family and didnt have the time, but would definitely stay at Camp Faribo again.
Small camp, mostly seasonal and permanent campers. They escort you to your site which is gravel grass. Plenty long for our 40 ft 5ther, parked across front, no problem. Appears to have two 50 amp sites available and several 30 amp. Nice for children has a barn for games and a pool. We have stayed here before as an overnight when traveling, will stay again..
We had a wonderful stay at Camp Faribo, everyone was so nice and accommodating. We arrived around 3 AM, the camp host was very nice, got out of bed and helped us get parked.
Very well maintained quiet refuge. We have enjoyed our time here.
Great place to camp......Staff was very nice and also good people...
we have been coming here for the past 3 years to visit family. We have also met some really nice people, the new owners are doing great and the staff is very helpful. Larry escorted us to our spot and helped us get backed into our site.
We have been seasonal here for 4 years now. Nice quiet campgrounds.
Decent little campground. Not much of a gravel pad for my trailer or a patio in my site compared to others. Also i beileve my picnic table frame was made of aluminum conduit( not sturdy at all.Water is very harsh even with water filter. Pool is no longer salt water treated which i found very nice! Managment was pretty nice as well. Other then the very minor things listed we enjoyed our stay and will be coming back.
WE STAYED HERE RECENTLY AND WILL NEVER RETURN!Initially we were happy to find the campground in the area we wanted to stay in that wasnt booked full or too expensive. The employee on the phone was very nice (that is what our 1 star is for this post). This is where the positive review ends: We check in and are quoted a higher price per night than what was quoted on the phone. When I questioned it further, the check-in employee kept pointing to the rate board behind her. We dont encounter this situation often, but it really angers me when we do. We also didnt get a good feel about the place - so many employees in the office at the time (I counted 6gossiping about others in a small campground like this feels unwelcoming. All I ever ask for is a little shade in the warmer temps. We were told no, they are full. So, we tow to our site in the sun and it turns out this is a small, cramped campground. There is little room between RVs, but some locations are like this so you suck it up. I guess campground owners/managers also forget that their campers will be driving, walking and/or biking around the sites and can see that all sites are not full. We stayed one long weekend and there were many shaded sites (especially on the perimeter and north sidethat remained either empty our entire stay or had trailers, trucks and boats parked in them for storage. And we couldnt have a little bit of shade??BUT THE CLINCHER came on our last night. We arrive back to the resort at 8:00. The office had just closed & I recalled the laundry room also closes at 8 (I really love the ones that stay open late or 24 hours, much more convenient when most parks have only @2 washers/dryers and theyre full half the time). But I checked the room and it was unlocked. I check again at 8:30 and its still unlocked so I assume being the summer months they must be open later or all night. I return with my laundry at 8:50 (still unlocked). I leave my bright orange wagon in front of the machine in case employees check on the room.I check on laundry at 9:30, washer still going, but I see an employee in the distance despite it being almost dark. I return and tell my husband, "Watch the laundry room be locked when I return and Ill have to dry in the morning. Just wait and see." And son of a gun I hate being right. I return at 9:50 to find the lights off and door locked! I had to wait till opening time in the morning to dry my clothes so forget wanting to pull out early for a long day of towing! They couldve spoken to me. They couldve left a note on the door for me to call them when I was done. They couldve left it open since it was still unlocked at 9:30 pm. But no, they were jerks to their paying campers. I surmise they also forget that full-time RVers such as us (who travel 8 months per year in an RVhave social media at our fingertips and plenty of fellow RVers to tell the tale.....
Its a pretty basic campground but its ok.
We went to this campground for our daughters tournament and we were completely disappointed by everything! The biggest problem we had was the water. We hooked it up to their hose and it smelled like sewage. Since we werent there much the first day I called to complain as we were leaving for a game. I was told it would be taken care of by the time we got back. We got back and they hadnt done anything. The owner met us there and didnt believe us about the smell. He kept saying everyone is hooked up out of the same pump. He even drank it out of the hose to "prove" it was safe. We kept telling him it was disgusting smelling and he tried to tell us it was fine. I practically forced him to hook us up some other way.Later the lady walked around to get us to pay our bill (never seen thatwe told her we paid when we came. She didnt believe us until my husband pulled out the receipt. When we asked for some sort of discount for the rancid water she kept insinuating that it wasnt their fault, and then proceeded to tell me they were doing me a favor by not charging me an extra $5 for having 5 people. When I got mad and said it was crazy she was trying to charge me for an infant she back tracked and said they would talk about it and get back to us. Surprise, surprise we never heard from them again. Not only that but they drive around on their stupid golf carts and watch your every move and make you feel like youre criminals. They turned our very exciting weekend into an extremely stressful one.
I truly love this campground Ive been there for years and I finally get to review it
This is a great little campground. Owners provide exceptional care to their patrons. Cant say enough about how much they went out of their way to help us.
Called ahead 24 hours to cancel and was still charged for one night. Was told "May" be charged....travel plans change, 1 week cancellation for a campground is a bit much. just my 2 cents
People are very nice! Nice camping place. Pool is wonderful! Quiet! Love the fact dogs are welcome!
Very nice campground its peaceful there and many things for everyone to do.
Wonderful and very accommodating owners. Our site was nice and even. Had full hookup and drain for a reasonable price.
We stayed her for the month of October. The staff are great. At that time of year it can get chilly but we were mostly going to the cities for appointments. They let us stay a few extra days while we were waiting to find a place to stay for the winter. Really appreciated the owner!
Stayed here for about a month. Its a welcoming place, and the owner is very kind! There is a trail where you can walk around the property and a playground for the kids. Had a nice experience. The only bad thing is the water is very very harsh ... so a couple of water filters is a must.
Nice campground. There is plenty to do as well as many attractions near by. Along with helpful staff.
-Beautiful setting-Wonderful people-Nice pool and rec options-We stayed overnight, and we would definitely do it again!
Camp Faribo is very convenient to shopping and local places however dont expect to have any guests as they charge $10 a car and $5 per person for a day visit or even an hour visit . Very disappointed in that aspect. The lots are very small and it was crowded however the staff was friendly. They have one shower stall and charge to take a shower. This is an older Campground.
Very nice RV park. Quiet and close to town with Walmart nearby. Warm pool and friendly people. Shady on those hot days.
Spaces are.right on top of each other. No privacy. Bathrooms unkept. Nice pool.
I stayed here for 4 months from July to October while working. The campground is a nice place! They had a themed party almost every weekend so the staff could get to know the campers which was nice, no other campground that ive stayed at did this. The laundry room could have been air condidtioned. The camp sites were spacious. They had shared water spouts so you didnt get the best pressure in the camper. The spaces were mostly grass so bring somthing to park your tires on. The staff does an amazing job keeping up with the grass. There wasnt alot of places to walk your dog, there was a designated place in the back of the park for that.
Camp sites were nice. The pool was wonderful as was the game room. We did not have a very good experience due to the female owner and her customer service skills. Not very young adult friendly, made accusations and assumptions but never asked questions to verify. We were just considered liars (seen other reviews saying the same experience). When you are camping there your young adults are not allowed to come and go; even if it was just for work. There is a charge for guests, which is fine but they tried to charge our registered guests too. Hence did not ask questions only made accusations.
One staff person was very rude. We had 2 sites and paid for 8 people. This person had issues with these people coming and going. It was as if you were on lock down once you get in your not aloud to come and go. Definitely would not recommend this campground and definitely will not be returning.
Great experience at this park. Privacy, friendly folks that run the place, and convenient shopping a mile away. Quiet and clean. Wish we had stayed longer than a week. 😀
We were very happy about finding this campground in our travels on a Sunday. We stopped for the night and didnt use many of the extra features, but we did like how the grounds were set up. We especially liked that the owners staggered the campers. We had 2-3 lots open around us, same as the other campers. They were great about giving everyone the most space they could. It makes for more private camping. It also was wonderful to just pull into a spot and leave the vehicle attached. No need to back into a space and move the truck.I am not sure how we would have like it had it been full, but with mostly it being half empty (time of weekwe were very pleased with what we had.
