Cameo in Owando

A very racist club my friends and I went in to the club and they saw he is black without even talking to him or seeing how he is behaving and they said he cannot let be in without any bigger excuse than he is too drunk without drinking anything. Not recommended.

Bouncers are bullys and abusive .. they take identification for no reason sieze it then tell you to go police station to get it , to be told by the police they dont get it cameo hold it and send it back .. dont answer the phones to solve any issues u may of had .All in all would not recommend to any students if you want a nice peaceful night out go else where .They dont respond to emails either so no chance in resolving anything.Also take phones and go though them for no reasons bullys and unprofessional to say the least

Veru good vibes very good music. Toilets are very nice at all however. One of them was completely flodded.

This is the second time that this has happened, my ticket was scanned by a blonde woman before I went into the club and then a woman at reception asked to scan it again and she says sorry you cant go in that ticket has already been scanned so I carry on to tell her it was the blonde woman that works here and she says a blonde woman doesn’t work here. Therefore they make me pay a extra 15 pound to get in. total scam and way to make money out of people. Awful.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! One of the worse clubs I have ever visited.Firstly the hygiene is awful. Sticky floors, toliets in a very bad state and the general club is very run down.Got given a drink (no ice or serviceone of the bottle caps from a bottle on the bar had found its way into my cup!! I told the bar staff who took it out with her hands and gave the drink back to me. DISGUSTING.Management and staff extremely rude and unhelpful. Some members of security are racist.There are much better clubs in Bournemouth. By far this is the worst!!

I travelled from Brighton with my friends and we pre-booked a table and drinks, We had THE BEST night! I have to say a massive THANKYOU to Karl for making everything so easy, we really felt looked after. I have to commend Karls attention to detail and he really made us feel like real VIPs! We went to Cameo on the Friday and ended up going back on the Saturday too, the VIP experience Karl gave us was one of the best i have had (and iv worked in clubs for years)Thank You again Cameo Bournemouth for yet again another amazing weekend! Music was on point, drink prices were fair and all the staff and waitresses were super friendly and the VIP girls downstairs were on point with refilling our mixers and just making sure we were happy and enjoying ourselves. Fanatastic job! Even though its super busy, its still quick to get into the toilets and smoking area etc...Couldnt recommend a better place to go out in bournemouth!

Had a great night out! Staff were lovely and very welcoming! Will definitely be coming here again soon.

There’s a Manager in particular on the door that just isn’t very nice, he has dark hair and talks down to everyone. Not welcoming at all.

I’d rate cameo a 0 but that’s not possible so I give it a 1. Was told to leave the venue before 4am rudely by some short chubby guy with dark hair. Dunno why you closed early or what his problem was tho

My boyfriend and I recently visited with some friends and my boyfriend was denied entry by a manager in a creamy coloured coat for being a “tramp”! The security around at the time all looked very confused and embarrassed by this one even said that he should be allowed in but this manager shouted “do not undermine me” turned to my boyfriend and said “you’re not coming in” and walked away. How unprofessional! This club really has gone downhill over the last few months.

Sticky floor and they forgot to put the heating on… chilly 🥶I didn’t want to use the loos… 🙈BUT the comedy show was brilliant… totally loved it (5 star would have been great / not feeling like I was surrounded by DNA 🧬 and a crime scene!)

Overpriced, understaffed, unclean and unsafe club that allows SPIKING. I advise every person I know never to step foot into this place. The bouncers are so rude and on some weird power-trip in their hi-vis jackets. Ive even witnessed them be racist to other people in the queue. Ive been to Cameo pre-COVID and had a bad experience then but thought Id give them another try for their Halloween event this year and I regret ever trying. The ticket cost a fortune for anytime entry even though we were stuck in a 45 min queue with the rest of the ticket holders? And then once we were in they had oversold WAY too many tickets because it was so rammed in there you could hardly move. There was like 3 bar staff in total which meant drinks took 45 mins to be served (not their faultbut I am also 99% sure I was spiked that night and not one member of staff helped me when I started feeling out of control. The same night about 8 other people ended up in hospital who were also spiked in Cameo. How are these people getting in???? Never again will I step foot in that place. Avoid at all costs

Boring nothing special, full of melts that think they are hard also music is way to loud probably to hide how bad the club is. One way trip to ear damage city

Paid £9.35 for a ticket for the code not even to be sent over from your dodgy website. We were then refused entry after explaining the issue and showing the payment which went through. The most unhelpful, arrogant selfish member of staff who had no idea what he was doing, didn’t even listen to the issue and offered no solution at all. Thought he was the absolute bees knees and head and shoulders above everyone. Shouting in girls faces. Not 1 gcse in sight 😂 melt of a club.

Jack serve me. I didnt know about the rules about the 2 pound drink before he poured it I ask for an error correction. He told me he would have to ask the manager which "was to long to do" that I ethier accepted the drinks or he would get me kicked out. So I accepted the offer as obvs my night was more important than a few drinks. But if if wasnt for the drinks it would be a a 1 rating for serviceKind regards Callan Curtis

One of the worst places to ever go clubbing. I feel sorry for the students that don’t know any better because this is the only reason why they’re still open. Long wait times, racist bouncers and stewards who think they’re on the police force, the white people in our group got in way easier than me and my other friend. The floor inside was so sticky I had to check if my shoes contracted an STI. Bartenders were nice but the amount money you spend for dishwater drinks would be better off down at the Old Fire Station which we went to after. Needs new management asap.

Bad and slow service, rude and judgemental bartenders, would not recommend to anyone unless youre up for getting judged bartenders. Worst experience of my life, if I could give 0 stars I would.

Play good music and the security are thorough in checking you upon entry . However waiting times for drinks is unfortunately extremely extensive, and the toilets are shocking god forbid you need to use them youre basically guaranteed to come away with some kind of disease.

Bouncers are tragic. After giving my non-UK ID to the bouncer, he said something under his breath and gave me the evils. Then later on, one of the other bouncers told me I couldn’t go to the smoking area with my friends and that all of them could go out but I’d have to wait 10 mins until someone else comes out. At the bar(s), speed of service is impossible due to understaffing, which also results into miserable bartenders. Young lady behind the bar served a couple of people before me and then went to the back to get something and came back with the biggest frown and didn’t even say a word to me when she was taking my order. Bless her, she clearly didn’t want to be there (which I get but at least fake it, gurl). Been to cameo a few times before the pandemic, it was never my favorite place but it was decent. But now their staff look and act very unhappy, which ruins customers’ experience there. I’d look into training the staff (including bouncersactual customer service or getting new one in order to make the place better.

If youre going to go then hit pre drinks hard unless youre willing to wait 1 hour to 1:15 every time you want a drink. Also VK bottles or straight vodka only with about half the staff they need this place is dead now. Shame about covid but they cant expect to keep satisfied customers with how theyre currently operating

bouncers are good fun, but the club itself isnt. When you walk in through airport style security you are stuck with blaring music wherever you go and frankly stops you socialising unless you smoke. same music every single week. there is a much better offering elsewhere. have heard horror stories of spiked drinks from handful of friends.

Had a really lovely night, excellent service from waiters. It was my friends 18th birthday, so we paid for a booth with a bottle of Smirnoff and mixers. As we went to leave, we still had some vodka left in our bottle (that we had obviously paid for from our package - a LOT of moneyand obviously tried to take it with us as we left (since we had paid for it). But as we tried, were told by a VERY rude blonde short bouncer that we were not allowed to take it. And in turn, he took the bottle from us, very blunt and slightly aggressively, and said we were not allowed - even though we had told him that we had bought it as part of our package. We had a very good night up until that point. It wasn’t so much the fact the alcohol (that we had paid for), had been confiscated, it was moreso that the bouncer was so disgustingly, and disrespectfully rude to us. Me or my friends will not be returning, and I don’t recommend coming here due to the rudeness of the bouncers (who had to ruin it for all the actually good staff that work there.)

Wouldnt let VIPs in, as they didnt recognise certain VAILD Italian ID cards. Booked a booth for 10 people for graduation, but didnt matter.They saw an opportunity to make money by not letting extra people in, so they did.Not a 0 star as they did eventually refund the tickets, but still ruined a night out.

I came from Italy to celebrate my brothers graduation and even tho my brother has organazied the event in this disco, they wouldnt let me in because I had 2 staples on my ID card so it was "fake"... This disco is just horrible and pathetic, I hope this dousnt happen to anyone else.

Do not go here. I heard Bournemouth was supposed to be a great night out. The bouncers have no idea what they’re talking about. It’s actually ironic how they laugh amongst themselves, but cannot understand a grown up conversation. Go to HALO instead.

Came here for my birthday, almost went out the entrance for fresh air and but then realised... as I went go go back in the lady near the door after security said I hadnt paid to go in and wouldnt let me back in ... thanks cameo worst birthday ever! I left in tears. do not recomend this club to anyone, I was here since before 11 and was having a good time but the staff are awful. Will definitely not come here again.I did not expect my birthday to be this terrible, I will be taking this further.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!!! The bouncers do not have a clue and are racist and discriminate people. My mate was refused entry cos he didnt have his Id on him but he is 42. When I came back out and asked they said he was too drunk he only had 2 pints walking from roundhouse hotel to cameo. They said go away for couple hours to sober up then come back about 12.30. So we went to Mary shellys he got past the bouncers fine was also talking it bouncers we had a few more pints and a few sambucas went back to cameo at 2 am and he got in os he was sobered up lmfao. He paid 8 pound to get in to then not be served at any of the bars. They proper took the piss out of him took advantage of him and are obviously racist.

Very poor security.The main bouncer(who had a bushy beard and receding hairwas very hostile and refused me entry for an out of date driving license.The security all seemed scared of him and wouldn’t speak up when I proved my age. Would not recommend.

Went there on Sunday night as was open for bank holiday (we’d done a mini trip for the BH so decided to go out and see what was about). I can honestly say I have never seen SO many underage people in a night club in my life. At least 80% of the club was way under the legal age (& were acting that way!). This was confirmed to us when in the takeout across the road and a girl confided in us that her and all of her friends who had left at the same time as us were either 16 or 17. Also confirmed that a lot of the people that were in there were underage too.Some bouncers really abrupt and rude, others were really nice. Same with the bar staff. Floors were sticky and there was minimal seating unless buying a booth.

Absolutely terrible, checked my coat in by someone who was only friendly if you were female so a good start there!Then waited at the bar and was EVENTUAL asked what I wanted (nice customer service!but then stopped getting served when a woman with big breasts stood next me (my wifewho was then served instead of me!The bar staff act like they are doing you a favour and gods gift to bar service!And lets be honest £6.50 for a small plastic bottle of beer which you cant take into the smoking terrace is a bit over the top! And thats if you can get passed the bouncer to actually get on to the terrace in the first place!Really! Cant take a plastic bottle onto a smoking terrace because its a safety hazard! You check everyone coming in by making us empty all pockets walk through metal detectors and then magic wanded just in case!Absolute sham of a place and thats just the staff dont even get me started on the warm bottles, the bad music or the fact if you stand for to long in one place your feet stick to the floor like week old pasta on a dry plate!

been there a few times while staying in Bournemouth. Always had a great night out in Cameo. The atmosphere is really nice, although the stuff is overwhelmed easily. If you like to celebrate cheap and have no high demands on fast service Cameo is the right place for you :)

Always a great night out in Cameo !! Only been a couple of times but have had an amazing time on both occasions, one for my friends 18th birthday and the other for New Years 2019. Nice that there is the choice of the different rooms, depending on your music taste and the staff there are really friendly.

I had the best experience at Cameo Bournemouth at their (Basement), their staffs are so welcoming and friendly. Furthermore, if your into R&B; Afrobeats or Urban music, Basement would be the place for you.My friends and I really enjoyed ourselves and I would recommend this place.

I attended Vinyl for a sports social on Wednesday. So far I had had a good night until I went to the bar to get served and after standing bar side for a few minutes, got told to move and immediately pushed off the side of the counter by a female bartender with pink braids who wanted to use the card machine near me. I waited about 25 minutes on the bar to get served after this, despite being at the front. I was blatantly being ignored by the bartender. In the end I didn’t get served, I was pulled aside by a male who claimed to be the manager and asked “what’s the problem?”, I hadn’t displayed any antisocial behaviour. I informed the ‘manager’ I hadn’t reported a problem but I did just get pushed off the bar side by one of his colleagues. Shortly after I left the bar due to my complaint being ignored. On exit, I was confronted outside the club by another male who also claimed to be the manager. I requested the name of the employee who had assaulted me so I could make a complaint and I was refused this. The only name I received was the employee I was confronted by outside of the club who informed me his name was ‘Jack’. In short, I was told I wasn’t allowed back in for the night and there was nothing that could be done about the incident that occurred at the bar where I was assaulted. I went home extremely upset and disappointed.

Absolutely abysmal service and the entry system doesnt make sense. Told to sober up so spent money (£13on awful food, sobered up, and then spent about 20 minutes trying to get in but was being refused still. Security staff rude, food awful, wouldnt feed it to a geriatric dog.The policies of the company are ridiculous and to think that other more drunk people are being let in leads me to believe that its targeted at specific people. Doubt Ill get a refund for the food but I suppose Im just another dumb customer who got ready to come out and have a good time, only to be shut down by a truly awful experience like this.Basically, paid entry, was told not allowed in (into a club. A CLUB.and then was told to spend money on food to sober up which didnt work at all.Do not recommend, dont give your money to these clowns. There are far better clubs in Bournemouth.

Three or four rooms of different music. Drinks reasonably priced.The website says no sports wear and trainers but everyone was in sports wear and trainers when I went.Open till late as well.

They have an awesome dance floor and a cosy lounge area. The only I didnt like was the plastic cups. I get it was for safety reason, they could be had clear ones and not ones that look like they were from a kids party!It may be a bad place for a lot a people, but its actually a good place for those with autism during their annual big night out.Its an alright nightclub, I guess.

My cousins ID was seized with no justification despite it clearly being his and him answering all the questions, before he was assaulted and pushed onto the road. The police had to get involved, so if you want a safe good night, avoid this place

Normally love coming to cameo- especially vinyl however came on saturday and will not be returning. Got to cameo at half 10, had 2 drinks before we got there and 1 when we arrived. An hour later and i was passed out in the toilets covered in vomit. Can only assume that my drink had been spiked by some creep who was talking to me earlier on. Obviously this isnt the fault of cameo but the way i was treated by the medics was shocking. I was barely concsious so dont remember everything however I knew i had only had a few drinks and repeatedly told the medic this. She refused to believe me and just kept saying i had drunk too much despite my friends also telling her i hadnt. She kept digging her fingers into the pressure point on my shoulder leaving me in agony and with a lovely bruise. She refused to send me to hospital. At one point she told me to get up off the floor which i told her i couldnt. She pushed the toilet door into my side and told me "if you can talk you can walk" she was not sympathetic in the slightest. The event was traumatic enough but this made it even worse. They have a duty of care and i dont believe they upheld this on saturday

Good door staff on main entrance, I was not permitted in due to having steel toe cap boots however door staff were happy to let me in once I went back to my hotel and changed shoes.Although the door staff on in the door were polite and searches were good, inside security was very hit and miss. Saw a fight kick off in the main room and it took a good 15 seconds before security were on scene to intervene.Music good, drinks well priced but security could have been better inside.

Awful music in each and every room almost constantly. Lack of dance floor in bar/house room even though they have a space for a DJ. On student night its overcrowded and a dutty-whine fest, and on locals night its ridiculously expensive and full of local cretins. Avoid like the plague.

The drinks are somewhat expensive. Entry is just 5 pound. Overwhelming young population, with 3 dance floors. The dancefloors have varied music, Old classics, current top music and rap/hiphop. The staff however are horrible, i was assaulted on a night out by two people, after being hit twice, the two gentlement were taken away, as well as myself. I was not allowed back in, after being attacked. But this is my personal experience, yours may vary. 3 stars for the general club.

I do like cameo as a place I go to towards the end of the night and thats only for vinyl, since to that has the only decent music.I terms of actual cameo it costs in avg £5 and then drinks are around 3:50 each if I can remember.The cocktails in myu are pretty good of their on offer other than that good for dancing, having fun with mate on a night out and generally getting drunk

Great venue, fairish entry price never awfully crowded however the foam they use at the foam parties is actually Satans liquids it wrecks your clothes, it can change your dyed hair colour my blonde friend is now green! If it goes in your eyes it burns, if you have slightly sensitive skin it dries it up and burns and HOLY BALLS if the foam goes near your mouth its like drinking bleach! But yeah decent place.

Wouldnt even give a star if I could ...sexist, racist you name it!Drinks are ridiculously priced and awful staff...my lip got split open due to idiots throwing things and causing me to fall...instead of staff performing first aid the staff tried kicking me out because apparently I was drunk but I had only just got to the club and hadnt even bought a drink! Comment was made that girls shouldnt be allowed to drink if they cant handle it ...will not be going back

The problem with cameo is, they love to make you buy tickets and then refuse to let you in with no logical reason.I ATTEMPTED to go to cameo last night, and having my SOBER friend with me ( who was black .. Can you guess where this is going?)We were in the line with our friends and then all of a sudden.... My black friend got told he wasnt allowed in. He was removed from the line with no knowledge of what he had done wrong. I questioned the bouncer as to why he was asked to leave the line when everyone else in our group was allowed through with no issues. Of course I was told that my friend was acting aggressively .. I guess standing in a line minding your own business is aggressive behaviour?So when I asked the bouncer what on earth was going on and refer them back to the news story that went viral ... I got kicked out of the line too.All is well because its a lesson learnt and neither of us will ever go back. I would just like to find a way to get a refund for my tickets, being told you cant enter a club for absolutely no reason at all seems worthy of a refund in my opinion.DONT GO TO CAMEO

This place discriminated against ethnic minorities. I was at the back of the line and I saw they refused entry to a group of black guys. These guys were dressed smartly and none of then were drunk but they wouldnt let them. However not long after they let in a bunch of white guys. They are disgusting racists Im glad I chose not to go in there and I will never give my money to these bigots. Go somewhere else, dont give your money to these racists.
