Great bar with amazing cocktails! Old school music constantly shakes the whole body. Open smiling people! Burning candles, atmospheric. Homemade lemonade is the best, what I tried in my Life!!! Recommend 👍

The place looks nice, it’s getting cozy on weekends as it’s a bit small for how many people they actually allow in. The food is not the best, but it’s good. The cocktails are a bit pricey. The staff is friendly, but they take some time to bring your order.

Ive been eating my way around the citys Mexican restaurants and while the staff was phenomenal, the food did not wow me at all. For the price of tacos in this town, I expect more.

Used to really love coming here, shame it’s gone downhill.We sat down and waited 25 minutes before a waiter came to ask for drink orders or food orders, the whole time we tried to make contact with them to call them over but they ignored or didn’t care. Finally they take our order, and we wait for one hour for very simple order of tacos. They told us it was a “really busy night” but it was a Monday evening 10 pm… only 2 tables of people inside the restaurant and maybe 4 tables outside. I’ve had way faster, better service when the place was packed on a Friday night, so what do you mean oh it’s too busy right now? They definitely just forgot to put our order in because it does not take an hour to make tacos, and there were not many people there at all. We left frustrated and hungry.Just serve the people in the restaurant and if things go wrong - proactively tell them “I’m sorry for the wait, your food is coming,” something polite like that. It’s ridiculous that we had to wave them down after ignoring us to get any service.

Rare Mexican place in Amsterdam. Food is ok, nachos are really good ! Service was not the best, lady who was serving us today keep forgetting every order and we needed to ask 2/3 times for one thing. Thanks god it was another guy who host us well! Location it’s in the middle of the daily open market that is finishing at 5pm. We were sitting from 7-10pm and you are annoyed by cleaning stuff around you and smell of the market. Sitting inside it’s better option but super small place. Average cocktail is 10-15 eur, that’s typical Dutch price. They have frozen Margaritas 1 L, wondering who is ordering this since after 5 mins when is melted it’s not drinkable. I will come back but will sit inside. Maybe a bit of investment in outside terrace will be nice ! Thx!

Great tasting food although perhaps a little small for the price. Cocktails were great, good range to choose from and were fun with a good amount of alcohol in them. We really enjoyed our meal here because of the great service from the two guys working here and the tastiness of the food/drink.

Nachos need to be better! More guacamole, salsa and sour cream! Everything else is super, including the cocktails! Their margaritas pack a serious punch! Empanadas and tostadas are great!!

Small place in Albert cuyp with a very nice vibe. Food was average and unjustified price for a tiny Portion of tacos ( 6,5€ per piece, we ordered quesadillas and ceviche and both were average . Cocktails were nice and staff were super friendly.

Calle Ocho is located in Downton Amsterdam. It is easy to get there by bike or public transportation. When I went there, they were holding Taco Tuesday. The tacos tasted nice but they were a too small. The prices were average Amsterdam prices. I recommend going there but knowing that the tacos are rather small.

Over of my favourite placed in the area! Great cocktails that they tailor for you and the food is just awesome! We recommend the loaded nachos.

Cocktails were nice, however, the size and the cost of the food was ridiculous. The portions are too small, which should be changed asap. Other than that the vibe inside was nice!

The cocktail selection was great, everyone we had was super good and want to try many more. Really enjoyed the food, except the jackfruit was just ok (but think its just that I dont like jackfruit). The staff were very nice and the service was fast, definitely will come back soon!

Very nice ambiance, great amount of rums and bartender/owner really knows what hes doing. He made up some delicious personalized cocktails on the spot. The food was great too. We definitely come back again :)

17 euro’s for 3 taco’s of the size of your thumb. After ordering each 15/20 euro”s of food and 10 euro cocktail, we left and went to get kabab as our main dish. Food was not the best, but not the worst, but half warm. Very strange. Is this te result of shrinkflation, inflation or the economic corona downfall?

One of the best bars in Amsterdam - amazing signature cocktails, really nice food (Id say dishes are also signature), and great staff. It could be noisy outside at the opening as the street market getting cleaned, but it gets quieter outside (and louder insidein the later hours.

Best tacos I have eaten so far! Very tasty and fresh! Even though they are quite pricey, so I can only recommend going there on taco Tuesday (3€ for alle tacos)

This is a fabulous little gem in Amsterdam that serves GREAT Mexican food and awesome cocktails. The ceviche & tacos were incredible, and the flavors were truly authentic. Highly recommended!

The restaurant is located in Albertcuyp market, so it is easy to find! But maybe because they tend to serve touristis they dont care about their customer experiences! The menus had a lot of food stains on it and it wasnt pleasent to touch it, it was dirty and sticky, so we checked their online menu which wasnt update! The table was so dirty and sticky that we tried not to touch it!We ordered taco, tuna tostada and nachos! The taco and tostada were small, considering the price! And tuna in the tostada wasnt fresh!I wont go their another time and do not recommend it beacuse I felt like they dont care about their customers! Overall not a good experience!

Good but very small for the price. The ceviche for example is ~€13 and only has 2 shrimps. One taco is ~ €6 and it is so small… recently I tried, Cabron and Loca dealer and really I think Calle Ocho is the most expensive for what they serve. ;/

Great PQR and underestimated place. the food and the cocktails were excellent. For the sweet tooths among us I can recommend the Heidi Montag, lovely balanced and beautiful presentation or the even sweeter Violet Sky (?which tasted like a retro lollipop. If you rather have a more tropical sensation and you like tequila, the bikini bottom is bursting with a fresh pineapple taste.I especially enjoyed spicy cocktails Tiki and Sex in the City, which had a subtle taste of peppers. If you want to stay with the classics, they also make a mean frozen margherita.The cocktail of the month is a great blend I would personally prefer in fall: think of a smokey apple pie. You get fresh tangy apple, mixed with caramel and cinnamon.. all with the smokiness of mezcal. I love it, but its a bit odd for summer maybe. Overall the drinks didnt make me flush (asian flushthat badly, which often speaks of the quality alcohol used.The bites we had, were tasty as well! For all the citrus-fans I can greatly recommend the summer salad, though I can imagine that for most it might be too sour. The tartar is definitely a favourite of mine, stacked on ripe avocado. We had some great quesadillas which were crunchy and come with a bit of mashed Avocado and tomato-like dip. The trio of tacos was varied and tasty, but I have to admit Im more of a traditional birria or carnitas kinda girl.Overall a lovely place to go for drinks and bites!

Cocktails are INCREDIBLE, they have good tequila and after 11 is THE BEST place to be in Amsterdam to have drinks and a good fun.Said this, regarding THE FOOD; as a Mexican I was completely disappointed as I expected same level as the cocktails. We felt completely ripped off , food is expensive and not exceptional. If you make Mexican street food make sure that is either accurate and well made or with a good twist/fusion.The waiter did not payed attention to us at all and we were the only table. We had the feeling that we were annoying him the whole time ):My recommendation is 100% to go for only snacks and drinks 🍷. After 10pm honestly its my favourite place in Amsterdam. Thank you guys for making my latín nights memorable with such good cocktails and friendly staff.

Waiters are super nice. I went there on taco Tuesday and the tacos were 2.50€ each instead of 6€. The trick is that the tacos are really small, so eventually I paid 15€ for 6 small tacos. I was satisfied at the end, but I was expecting a better deal for a "special night".

We really enjoyed our time here. The serve was excellent, we had so much fun with our waiter! The food and drinks were lovely too. Especially the quesedialles (no idea how to write thiswere amazing. The only negative thing is that the dishes are very small. We will come back but you have to keep the prices in mind.

Good and unique cocktails with some interesting ideas behind it. Ive liked the vibe with lean back atmosphere and Spanish music. Prices a bit higher than expected but definitely worth a visit. Nevertheless the completion is very high in Amsterdam.

Nice chill little bar, great variety of cocktails at a high quality. Price is not too bad either and you will usually find its busy enough even on week days. We came as a small group and was able to get a table in the back and speak and enjoy our drinks away from the chaos at the bar and near the front. If you are near by I suggest popping in for a drink, else its not exactly worth going out of your way for.

Amazing taco Tuesday! Very tasty tacos. They have a bigger selection than the tacos in the Manu, what was very nice. All tacos full of flavor. I will come back!

I love this place! The cocktail menu is really impressive matched with great bartenders. Didn’t try the food, but will be back to sample. It’s a small place and can get crowded quickly.
