Cobblestone alley featuring restored historic buildings & a lively bar scene in the evening.
Nice, cute and colorful street
Nice place in the historical center of Quito, ideal for take a drink or eat something white friends
A lot shorter and emptier than expected. The few remaining shops advertise aggressively. Groups of adolescents roam the street, staring tourists down - anyone‘s interpretation what could follow. No need to visit, really. 2 stars for historical significance
We went to this area for the character and restaurants and it was vacant!! No one in the streets and businesses closed! Yikes. The tourist office who told us how to get there didnt tell us about the state of this area. A local business person told us this area has been shut down for awhile and it is crime ridden. Such a shame.. Would have been best if the tourist office told us.
Old-fashioned cozy. On the edge of the Centro Historico of Quito is a street where you can imagine yourself back in time. Calle de la Ronda is a picturesque stone-paved alley with 18th century workers and craftsmens houses. In the evenings, the nightlife here is vibrant. An old-fashioned cozy street!
Cool place to visit. Check out the crazy ice cream place on the second floor in one of the buildings
Nice place to chill exploring Quito
A very interesting area reminiscent of Europe and old Quebec city.
It’s a good place to walk. It has a lot of restaurants, bars, etc.
Nice place ve carefully with pickpocketing
This is a beautiful place to go at night. Definitely be careful, there are ladrones, but you can find some great traditional food and music. If you get a balcony, you can see the panecillo.
Great place to spend the night and go out to eat. A flagship street of Quito. Filled with restaurants and bars with live music. The truth is very very welcoming. Besides old everything.
Such beauty!
This is a beautiful street of the Quito - Ecuador
One of the coolest places in the center of the city. No one should ever miss visiting that street, it is simply awesome with or without people. You can feel the cool vibes when it is crowded or simply get a bit more insightful walking around on your own
Love it! Don’t veer off the main road. Prices are not inflated crazily, and it’s a nice place to visit once or twice.
Its one of the most beautiful places to visit in Quito. Its a long street, home of many bars and restaurants that offer different types of food. Some of these places offer live music.
Its a nice place to walk, lots of places to eat and dance, but in my opinion its very noisy.
Great location with plenty to see and do. Be careful not foolish and you should have a nice time meandering around here.
I live on the corner of Cumanda Park and La Ronda. I love the neighborhood and on the weekends La Ronda offers people, food, music and all kinds of hand made crafts
Met some amazing people on this street. I recommend checking it out for nightlife fun. Lots of places to dance
Popular street of old town, you can enjoy national food, taste drinks and dance national music! I recommend you to try Canelazo is a hot drink made of fruit juice, cinnamon and alcohol. Is better if you go Friday and Saturday after 7pm, near of that street is a dangerous zone so be careful and dont go alone.
a quiet cobblestone alley walk that has many artisan craft stores and restaurants, hideaway from the main streets and the noises, most of the shops were closed on sunday when i visited
Beautiful place! There are several places to eat and me and my gf had the chance to have dinner on a balcony after visiting some churches around
La Ronda one of the city’s most popular tourist attractions in Quito‘s historical center, that represents one of the crown jewels in South America’s colonial culture, which was declared by the United Nations as a World Heritage Site.Thank you Mr. George Yousef Maalouf.
Its just one long street block with various restaurants and music. Seems a little secluded considering where it is located. I wasnt impressed.
Eh. Overrated. The food here is generally overpriced and not very good. Anything else on the street is overpriced too. It makes for a nice walk, especially in the evening, but I would generally go elsewhere for food and entertainment.
Most picturesque road in Old Quito. A bit very touristique but very worth for a detour. Have a coffee in one of the small places and be amazed to find behind the entrance a small and beautiful inner court. Very safe during day time.
Very scenic part of Quito that was recommended to me by a former native of the town, it is best visited after dark when it has come to life.
This is a cute walking street in the historic pet of Quito. There are no cars on the street so it’s a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the city center. We were looking for food and all the restaurants seemed to have the same menu with Pizza and other foreign food mixed with local cuisine, non of them looked worth eating at so we moved on quickly.
Cool place for a night walk and eat. Such a traditional vibe right at the historical Heart of Quito. Be careful when going outside its limits might get kinda risky to wander the streets. Stick to the illuminated and crowded areas and when done call a trusted taxi company not the ones on the street. Have fun!
Nice piece of old town Quito. Best to go during the nights and have a nice view of Quito. Try canelazo beverage and the cheese empanada. There are plenty of things to do. Do not forget to try helado de paila from a huge selection of flavors.
Beautiful...great vibe. Find a small place and enjoy some live music and canalazo!....I never felt threatened...plenty of police...however the entrances and exits are not the best neighborhoods....stay alert and flash your cell phone around...Ladies try to leave your purse and valuables in your hotel room safe.
beautiful place, you can see the old city as it was back when the Spanish first came. unbelievable experience! little sketchy tho, look out for your belongings
Its a relaxing place, where one can find good Ecuadorian food, street entertainment, live band performances, traditional drinks, and more importantly, some romance.
Easily one of the top ten spots to visit when in Quito. This place is a ghost town before sunset but comes alive at night. Lots of cafes and restaurant with live music. Favorite activity is to go bar hopping drinking the local "canelazos" drinks. After the buzz wears off, dont forget to check out the lovely colonial buildings and go into some of the local shops to see artist created crafts. There is some signage in Spanish giving you some local history (use Google lens to translate). Only negative experience I had was dodging the restaurant hawkers trying to coach you into their places. Highly recommend a visit nonetheless!
Amazing place to have a taste of what the historical center of Quito used to look like. Try drinking Morocho with Empanadas De viento. They are really good! There is a place that sells these traditional spinning toys... Check it out for a cool short exhibition!
Best Burgers Ever! Period. Fine Selected Craft Beer on tap. Bar & Grill. Best #pizza Futbolin. Pantalla Gigante. Best View #QuitoDowntown #PlazadeSanFrancisco
Its a great place to go out and have a good experience, but its not as clean as I would like it to be.
Colonial street with many restaurants, shops, bars, and more.Dont miss the oportunity to visit, especially Friday and Saturday. Very lively during the weekends.
Nice place, a lot of people walking around, music everywhere, a lot of food, very friendly envioroment...
This is a colonial only walking street that has many restaurants and bars. This street is in the heart of Quitos historic downtown. This street resembles what streets looked like many centuries ago in Colonial Quito. Next to the street are 2 public parking lots, but you can also park on the street (not recommended).
It is a nice street to walk around and learn its history, maybe you can take a rest and grab bite at a local restaurant along the street and enjoy the food and view.
One of historic Quitos MUST SEE districts! Great place for shopping and dining.
Nice little street if you can visit on a non busy day.
Excelent place to eat, walk, and have a good time. Also lots of interesting live-events.
Its like going back in time, you get to enjoy one of the most bohemian and historical streets of Quito, lots of bars, music, restaurants and handicrafts
Amazing place to go by night! So I guess itll be the same during the day. Theres so much life there, the architecture and bridges above your head make you feel like being in an old little European town.
Nice place to take a trip, have a local drink and take beautiful photos. Can go on day time or night. On Friday and Saturday become more people.
Attractive and crowded place to walk with family or friends. You can find good places to eat, drink Canelaso (either with alcohol or not and dance folklore music. Not recommendable to go alone by yourself . People comment there have been a few robs.
