Callaway Winery Wine Bar in San Diego

Lovely people, good wine and located close to lots of restaurants

Went in on a Tuesday night and had a great experience. I had a flight of 5 excellent wines poured by Jason, who is very knowledgeable about wine and fun to talk to. The tasting room provides a quiet and relaxed atmosphere, so we were able to chat and relax. All of the wines were wonderful, with the Moscato dessert wine being a perfect way to end the tasting!

Such a cool place! Some of the best wines i’ve tasted.... they have a great 2011 Winemakers Reserve Syrah. Definitely a must visit in downtown san diego.

I went here for a casual gathering and I enjoyed the service along with the nice bar and great company.

Loved this little wine tasting room! Now you dont have to drive all the way to temecula, but you can still try out the wine from Callaway! We came as a group of three for wine tasting. We had a great time with great wine. Will come back for sure.

I am not a huge wine fan but they have a half/half sparkling here that is good. I really go for the ambience and conversation. There are always interesting people in this wine bar, from my neighbors downtown to people from around the world visiting the area. The staff is excellent. J, Lorenzo, Julia...they are all friendly and offer great customer service.

A place discovered while passing in front. I went in and I immediately loved the concept of tasting. Richard who was present that night. Really made me discover excellent wines. I bought two bottles and promised to go back. The tastings are with glasses. We do not have to buy bottles.

We were on an adventure and discovere be on yr list...date night or any night...friendly great wine and kknowledge staff.. this is great place...put it on yr liist.

By far one of my favorite locations in the Gaslamp. There are so many bars down here that a good quality wine tasting room is hard to find. Callaway winery in Downtown San Diego has definitely stepped up the game in this area.The location is ideal, located on 4th street between Market and Island Ave. The interior design is really nice, quaint and provides just the right amount of music volume. I was able to easily engage with my friends on a good talk and not have to worry about the disco type music all of the bars and nightclubs have day in and day out.The customer service is exceptional, I was provided a great experience by both Richard and Alex as well as the ladies that were there to serve us. Sorry that I cant remember everyones name but everyone in this establishment provided an amazing environment and wine selections that are delicious! I even became a member after going through their tastings.I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality wines and a relaxed environment in Downtown San Diego.

Great wine place. You can do tastings of their wine or get a few by the glass. Bar style searing is available for a group event. Get $5 off a bottle if you do the tasting.
