Small, landscaped square with trees & pathways, surrounded by government buildings & 2 churches.
Cuencas main park.- 2022/09/22
Plenty of places to eat and drink around, plus some other sites, eg the cathedral. Park itself has plenty of seating, is clean, and had a band playing music with crowds dancing. Also might find some promotional events (free coffee!)
Very nice and well maintained 👌👍.
Excellent place to walk around and enjoy the sounds and sights of El Centro Cuenta Ecuador. Great food and vistas can be had from the Park and the Catolica Cathedral. Family friendly atmosphere with plenty of space to explore or sit and enjoy the ambience of the Park. Definitely recommend as a necessary place to visit when in Cuenca Ecuador.

One of many parks in Cuenca, but possibly the most relaxing. Surrounded by the bustle of stores, offices and restaurants, Calderone offers a chance to relax and enjoy the ambience and architecture of one of Latin Americas most beautiful cities. The (NewCathedral dominates one end, while the Old Cathedral, anchors the opposite end of the park.Fountains, a gazebo and the occasional vendor, add interest to a walk through.
Nice gathering space. Great to cross from the old to the new Cathedral. Although, it has some vandalism on benches.

I absolutely love this location for multiple reasons starting with its proximity to the Cathedral which provides a fantastic view. The park is clean, safe, and allows individuals to access several restaurants, bars, and stores nearby. Enjoying an ice cream is a perfect way to unwind.

Nice shady square next to the cathedral. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Go into the courtyard next to the cathedral entrance and discover outside, but covered dining. Wines, cheeses, breads. Two very good craft stores upstairs also. The store at the far end has better bargains. Beautiful handmade work from the region. Its a must. Enjoy
Small yet beautiful park in front of a majestic church. The heart of the old city.
Great place to visit grab an ice cream and walk around looking at different types of people and houses also great places around to grab a bit, grab a tour bus and visit all Cuenca
One of the simplest parks Ive seen
A quaint and regal park. Well kept and groomed in line with the jewel it is. Some fabulous landscaping explanation too; The chap in the middle was a big deal (hense statue). He had 8 children. Each of which is also honoured with a big tree next to him. Like. Oh, and theres free WiFi.
