Were bikers and love this spot on the Northern side of Bains Kloof Pass.The upgrades to the pass have transformed it into an exceptional road for alkvegucied.Burgers are good... coffee not so much as Im an authentic cappuccino fan, they need an espresso machine 😁Otherwise good spot, stunning location, great views.

First time visitor. Absolutely breath taking views, exceptional service from the young gentleman, yummy food, coffee in a plunger, and 2 fur kids getting/giving love.

Stunning venue....especially flif you just had a nice bike ride through Bainskloof

The food and service is great and value for money. the place is rustic and has spectacular views of the mountains. On a cold day they make some fires in the semi outdoor areas. Probably better when the weather is good. Thus olace and the pass that is finally open is well worth a visit

Going back after many years was nice trip down memory lane.

The Bainskloof pass opens on the 15 th June 2022, following a major upgrade. Do yourself a favour and visit the Calabash on the Wolseley side. Great pizzas and grills. Friendly owner and a fine pub.

Loved the whole chilled vibe the restaurant have. Its really nice to sit there. Very friendly, very neat and loved the dog Wolfie whom walked alongside us to our table. Would definitely recommend to go there. I already made plans to go again. Thank you!

Beautiful setting, service okay, food okay. We have come to be recognised when we stop here. Always a greeting and a smile. They have gone through tough times with fires and delayed road works. We always make a point of supporting them. Its worth it.

Best pizzas in the Valley. Chilled atmosphere with beautiful views of the mountains. Swimming pool for the use of patrons. A must visit.

Cool little spot with friendly dogs to welcome you. Tucked away in the mountains with stunning views. Great place to stop for a drink, watch some sport on TV or just to catch up with friends.

This a rustic outdoors restaurant/pub.Their service is good & food is tasty. I enjoy the feel & location. Loved by both bikers & travellers. At the moment work on the Bainskloof pass is isolating them. I recommend you give them a go. They deserve support, & we as travelers that value rustic authentic locations & businesses like Calabash Bush Pub will be poorer without them.

Nice setting but a disappointing experience overall. I ordered a burger and specifically asked if the buns were fresh. I was assured that they were delivered that very morning. Needless to say, they were of the oldest buns that could still be used to make a burger.The don pedro was equally disappointing being very watery. Stick to the beer and wine.

An Oasis alongca beautiful scenic route. The food was simple but excellent and very good quality. Dont expect a 5 star hotel, but a very nice place to stop over and have a good meal. Excellent value.

Calabash was an experience. Simplicity is beauty. The food was great and the service was friendly, the bar cozy and warm. I Defnately recomend as a pit stop.

Giving it 4 stars as the view and the deck was amazing and its difficult to rate a place during covid. The food was good but the waiter needs to tell you whats on the menu as you cant actually see anywhere what they are serving.

We had our kids 10th birthday party, awesome venue for kids to play and swim. Good food too. Well priced.

Great little stop on our way to the guest house. The “natural” pool was a great find for the kids on a super hot day.They have a great selection of craft beers and the food is pretty good. Don’t expect fast food level speeds as food is made to order. Enjoy the scenery and a refreshing cold one while you wait. Maybe give the local pooch a scratch as well.

Great place to come have a drink and bush pub type menu. The surroundings and location is what I would say are quite unique. Very chilled relaxing atmosphere!

this Phoenix has risen from ashes and really managed to rebound.
