Great experience of cairo nightlife. The band was great the night I was there.The only issue was that I was told to be there at 8pm. But the place was almost empty until 10pm and band started at 11:30pm.

One of the best places with live music in Cairo. Nice ambient and great music. Fully recommend

Cozy and iconic if you want to experience Cairo’s nightlife!Best DJs in town, a little crowded on the weekends but that adds to the vibrant atmosphere. Definitely the place to be!Requires reservation in advance.

I love the vibes at CJC and the people there are very chill, the environment is very pleasant, however anything you order there will be quite pricey, so come prepared (also the bathroom is very clean)

Nice place, cool music and very good cocktails, BUT, its overcrowded AND they told us they dont admit people after 8... SO we came 8, the place was almost empty... and then people started coming at around 10, 1030... and the bands started 11.I mean why did they say 8 and allowed tons of people to come at 10, 11 and 12? We just sat there 3 hours doing nothing. Just disappointed. Other than that and the overcrowdness everything else was cool.

They dont like tourist. Denied every possibly way to enter. The guy at the front door was terrible and aggressive. Would not recommend whatsoever. Very dissapointing

As a long time barman, I wouldn’t expect the prices to be 300% percent the mark up especially when I see the barmen routinely pouring between half and two thirds the measure that they’re meant to. Absolute rip off ahaha

My bf and I went to this club yesterday night. First, they confirmed our reservation without telling us about the entrance fees... We paid 100egp each at the door, just to find out after that our Egyptian friends didnt pay! How weird!!! We ended up spending around 1000egp for 3 drinks in a very very crowded place, no where to dance or even make your way to the bathroom. I would expect a better service for the prices they have. So not worth it.

Nice place with good vibes, good music and crowd. My only grip are the bar tenders are extremely slow, and drink prices are double the norm (compared to US prices).Low shelf liquor, primarily domestic with lower end import liquior combined with high prices make it a recipe for disaster.Higher end liquor and faster bar tenders would make this weekly place to be.

The iconic Cairo Jazz Club in the Agouza district of Cairo has been around for 20+ years. 🎸A cool place to enjoy local artists, bands and DJs. They sometimes have themed nights. 🎺The crowd is young-ish so they dont dress up. Most of them are in ripped jeans and casual tops. 👖They are notorious for their door selection policy. We were almost denied entry last night even though we had a reservation! 🚪So you probably have to know one of the regulars or start name dropping or try to be super early so they cant use the capacity excuse on you! 😉

Still one of the stable getaways in Cairo & vibes are still positive & their cuisine is in medium range & since the place is indoor so the music loudness & purity are good while their hard and soft drinks are good while the guest is still the same.

Nice place super cozy nice atmosphere good to have a small company and grab a drink.. over priced a little for shots, food is good. In case u search for a more vintage ambience with calm lighting it’d be the place is way smaller than CJC zayed. Parking would be an issue in weekends, needs a reservation and semicasual outfits.

//TOURISTS I REALLY DO ADVISE YOU DO NOT GO TO THIS BAR//Nothing about this place is like any jazz bar Ive been too before,,, the vibe is off and the staff are the unfriendliest bar tenders Ive ever met,,, and the surprise of a 100EGY entrance fee on my bill was just outrageous!!! I told them I would not pay the fee as I was not told when I entered and the staff became very aggressive.

You just get surprised by sudden fees they tell about to pay while they assured you that they dont have any when you made a reservation and get your whole night ruined by an additional 100 EGP as a music band fee after you ordered and paid!

Not really recommended, VERY VERY overpriced for no real reason, one small cola is 55 EGP, Margarita pizza EGP 100, one of my friends got one beer for 85 EGP, we ordered one chicken quesadillas (exactly 4 small piecesfor EGP 108 after tax and service. The music is okay, I mean you can go watch the same performers in different venues like "Room Art Space", or "Da House", or "Darb 1718" and pay almost nothing compared to this place. The place is not big or really special in any way compared to the prices. I would suggest visiting only once as an experience, but definitely not to be your go to.

Me and my friends came from the United States And was time to come here because they play American music we. Came waited online and the man at the door was letting everyone in the club that he knew and would not let us in when we finally got to the front he said we needed reservation all the ppl he was was letting in was not getting checked in through reservation and he told us the day before he will make an exception he was very rude disrespectful I believe they discriminate against Americans I would not recommend this place for tourist at all

Cairo has its own flaws. One is some the terrible treatment by a lot of bouncers. I was denied entrance cuz I don’t have a reservation. I told him that as a tourist how could I possibly know when the website doesn’t specify the reservation part. I explained that to the bouncer. He then said that even if have reservation, I also should have a girl with me. I’m going back unless with a lot of girls.

This bar is a joke. You dont just need a reservation, but also have a girl to enter. It make u feel like on the last century. Ridiculous.

Bands were great, but the speakers not good. Service is awful. The bartender spilt a full glass of wine on me when giving me a beer and was very rude after that. Prices are too high. Doesn’t worth coming.

Horrible hospitality. Customers are like robots for them. Never shall I step here again! Thank you. There are far by 10000’s of better clubs which care for their customers! Thank you.

Showed up and was denied entrance because I didnt have a reservation, however given that the guys at the door Mustafa and Mahmod, would let everyone they knew in without a reservation, dont think a reservation was required for entrance on a Monday. So leads me to believe not a place for expats or none Egyptians. Would give lower than 1 star for the discrimination but thats the lowest Google allows. Spend your money somewhere else, not worth the hassle. UPDATE: After reading the reviews, seems the place is known for this behaviour, snobby attitude, and different treatment for locals and foreigners. Youve been warned!

My friend took me there last night. After I have not been in Egypt for 10 years. First they won’t let us in because we didn’t have a reservation. After they agree. They stopped us at the door talking about dress code !! I have no clue what kind dress codeThere were talking. I was not in my pjs. I was dressed casual for that occasion. He won’t even explain what was the issue with my dress code !! But regardless of whatever it was. I had bad experience on my 2nd day in Egypt. And I won’t be going there no more. I felt like it was a discrimination. The bouncer picked and choose and made his own rules!

I went on a Wednesday, I arrived at 10:15. They said we needed a reservation. I thought oh well. Some friends arrived who had a reservation. They said they only hold reservation until 9:30. So they werent getting in either. The guys at the door were so rude.Anyways. 15 minutes later they let us in. It was me and my 2 friends. And like 10 other people inside. It was a dessert. There was no music. Not even a playlist playing in the background.The music started somewhere around 11.. The DJ arrived shortly after. He had major trouble with his set. And the music kept lagging so hed restart the song.It was one of the worst experiences. At 1am the place was so full you could barely move.The bartenders were trying to take my change and didnt want to return it, even though I asked several times. They thought I was drunk and would eventually forget. This happened several times.

Good ambiance, nice music etc.. but at the end of the day its just a club. Before getting in there was this snobby girl on the doors refusing us and talking like she s guarding the gates of heaven or something. Wasn t really a good first impression.

Not inviting to foreigners. They used the old “do you have a reservation” trick on us. But the other 10 couples were never asked and allowed in. I’m good

This place sucks for tourists. They will charge you exorbitant prices because you’re not a local. My brother and I are holidaying in Egypt and last night we decided to go out in Cairo. The Cairo Jazz Club came highly recommended by a few young locals. When we arrived they said we couldn’t go in, then we could, then not again, before eventually deciding it was ok. But when the bartender tried to charge us US$17 for a shot of neat whisky we left immediately as we can buy two bottles of good whisky here for the same price as that one shot

One of the most great nightclubs in the heart of Cairo, with a variety of the best bands and DJs in the scene playing every night.The place is cozy and feels familiar. Totally recommended.

Great music! Excellent service. Yummy drinks and really good food. I’ve been going there for years and all I can say is that the place keeps getting better every visit. Thanks to the great management and staff. If you’re looking for great Cairo night life then this is the right place where you can make great memories :)

Terrible service, we called between 4-9 to make a reservation and all phones were switched off, we thought that it was a nice place to hang out so we heard , but fikry at the door was very dissrespectful and treated us as if we were underaged even though we all were over the legal drinking age.!!. this is the worst service and welcoming i have recieved

Good varieties of jazz bands, full of smoke though and when the place is full and lots of people are standing you wont have a chance to see the band from the tables at all.

You need to reserve first by phone or by email . Its great music play inside every day - check their website and push the button on your favorite music .

This is why Cairo isnt for tourists who are looking to visit a place to drink or socialise. Frustrating if you hear a place like this is great but has beyond stupid rules e.g. reservations only except for my bros that I constantly let in

The place itself is quite good, need more ventilation and make a small area for non smokers, the doorman was just another story. Rude, uneducated, 0 professionalism, from another planet.All in all try to avoid the place because for sure you going to have a debate when you enter and when leaving the place with that crazy guy.

Great spot to kick back with friends/whoever else in a chill, low-key yet hyped environment. They host all sorts of events, between DJ nights, acoustic nights, band nights, dance nights and more - all genres. Their versatility keeps them in the game. The place is relatively small, which is cozy but could act against your convenience if its too crowded.I recommend following them on Facebook to stay updated with their calendar, and booking a several days in advance to guarantee making it in - they mostly let in reservations only, preferably groups/couples.

Nice music but cause smoking is allowed, so if youre a non smoker you will hate it. You will return home stink.. Cant take your breath there.

We had a really good night here watching a good show. Interesting crowd. Drinks are a expensive for Cairo standards, but reasonable for NYC standards.

I wouldnt go there if it was free. Cheap place. Average music. Nothing special except the rude stupid mentally retarded doorman. Egypt knows about Jazz as much as they know about launching a rocket to Jupiter!

The place is so cool! Nice music, lovely atmosphere, friendly attitude! Its a perfect spot to relax after a long day at work!
