Horrible staff. Honestly i don’t understand the way these people think or operate. I mean, I have 2.4M followers. Should I put them on blast for their rudeness?! What’s even sadder is that in my 1 week every ~5 years in this country I came to expect to have horrible service one place or another. But I’ll tell you this much, it’s worth punishing bad actors. How else are things are ever going to get better?AVOID!

Worst place to visit! The staff was very rude and incomprehensive from the start of our entry. They asked us to leave immediately although we were tourists and we did nothing but entering the placeWhat a complete disgrace for a place

Staff arent freindly , arent helpful , hijab is not allowed and we needed to take the manager confirmation to let my hijabi friend let in , place is really boring

Okay so heads up, for anyone who dresses alternatively or has piercings and such, this place is not for you, they asked us to leave in the most backwards way possible claiming that we didn’t have a reservation when for the last 30 something minutes we were sat there a reservation was never asked for or even mentioned; they immediately sat us down when we walked in and didn’t mention that they’ll check which places are available for us to sit. So generally while some of the staff were polite enough, the majority were talking in hushed voices by the bar and eyeing us. Other than that, the place is nice and the bathrooms are clean but everything on the menu is extremely overpriced for using local liquor and a lot of basic cocktails weren’t available on the menu. Ultimately, I don’t recommend.

Bar with music band. Pricey beer for £145.

Sad that a place like that with all the great history goes downhill. The place still looks the same with some upgrades. The most important is the food, def not the same quality as it was before. Not only that, the fillet used to be delicious soft and buttery instead they got a horrible cut of steak hard and chewy and served it as if its fillet.. and the waiter whos clueless argues that its the same kind of meat!

Profiling costumers,Just as i step at the door , the manager ask me if its the first time and how many peoplecomin with you, are you a resident...ect then ask for 500£ minimum charge. What a prank.

amazing atmosphere, excellent food.only thing i didnt like was the reservation system as i reserved a table for 4 and when i tried to contact the place to make it for 6 they didnt answer and when i went there they said theres no reservation with my name but we got to have a table cause the place wasnt crowded.

The place is ok, but price was too much high .

As the name implies, an underground bar with wood interiors, feels warm, with dim lights, mostly high chair seating, and a bit tight space. They play excellent music style that fits the atmosphere, not too loud, but pretty enjoyable. The crowd is mature and tres chic. A great place to meet friends over drinks and tasty food sides.

not for party animals I mean. It’s great to grab a few drinks with some mezzas, and chit chats with your friends.

It was my first time there, I have got attached to the atmosphere and music. Stuff were very friendly, Appetizers are delicious. overall was a great experience.

I nice place for a romantic dinner ..if you are a small group you will enjoy it too...I am not a regular i had the feeling that the nice places are reserved for the regular customers although i reserved before we go when we arrived i felt like ok put them anywhere and when we refused he said " will you stay for late hour or leave early!" It was very embarrasing for me to feel un welcomed like this ..my friend insisted on having the seat we chose and they let us sit in it but I had the feeling that we are not welcomed ...only regulars are welcomed here.

Very good option and cozy place in Zamalek. The entrance is not obvious, you have to go inside trough a small door and then is downstairs. One thing that I did not like that much is people smoking in a smalll closed place (without windows or air ventilation)

Very old place with amazing oriental food. But you are sometime miss treated because of your young age. Unless you have passed 50 then you can expect an attitude from the bar tender or the waiter. What a shame :(

One of Zamaleks oldest night spots and considered as a landmark. Very good food, very good service and excellent music.
